Amazing place and staff wonderful.

I’m not usually a soup person but I’m so glad I gave it a go - delicious. Lovely staff too which made our experience even more enjoyable.

I had an early dinner here. The beef brisket boxty was delicious. The chips were perfectly crispy. I only wish that you could hear the music from the restaurant section.

Out with a few mates, I had a few drinks 🍸 and it was amazing in this place definitely recommended.

We called in for a quick drink before going to dinner in another restaurant. The barman ignored me and my two friends. After serving two people who had been after us in the queue I said to him that he maybe hadn’t realised we were in front of both the people he had just served and would he mind serving us next. He responded by scowling at me and putting the palm of his hand up and dismissing me. So very rude. Safe to say we left and won’t be back.

Fun place to be. We Didn't get the name of the bar tender, unfortunately, but he was brilliant. Served us each tike woth a smile and humour, staff kept the place clean and where very welcoming

Just got home from Belfast. Fell into this place yesterday (Sunday). Only popped in for a couple of drinks but ended up staying about 7 hours! Lots of live music. 3 different acts who were all fab! Spent hours dancing and would have carried on if they weren't closing. Atmosphere was buzzing. Popped back today for some lunch. I had the seafood chowder which was amazing, 2 friends had the Irish stew which they loved and another gad the pea and ham soup - which was massive! Would definitely recommend and would 100% go back when next in Belfast.

Food nice, ask for a table by the front was told no there reversed put us in a dark corner, while we were there for 45mins- and hour none of those tables were used nor did they have a sign on it, They charged £1.80 for a pint of blackcurrant so be ware 😳

Went to this place on couple of days cause it has good reviews and people recommended this place to me. On the first day, one lady told me there’s is no space for one person! I have seen plenty empty seats, then I left the place anyway. On the second day, another woman told they don’t provide food for only one person! What’s the logic? Then I asked can I do take away, and she said no. This was very arrogant and leave me with many questions. 1. Is Northern Ireland no good for solo travellers, or diplomats or solo students? 2. Is this restaurant racist? 3. If you have enough space why can’t you provide food for one person? 4. Is Northern Ireland safe to travel?

Italian who spent two days in Belfast. I was looking for something typical and I was satisfied. The lady in the dining room was friendly and, despite struggling with the language, she managed to understand my intentions and offered me an excellent stew and equally delicious apple cider. All very good

The food was not that good, very greasy. The drinks were good. But for 2 drinks and 2 main courses it came to 100$ Canadian. That’s ridiculous. Service wasn’t that great either. Wouldn’t recommend

I visited here with my young family. We came for our evening meal together. The food was absolutely delicious, I had the boxty. The service was good, despite it being very busy. I've recommended this place to others who are visiting Belfast soon.

Bar person insisted that I say please when ordering, said that “ manners cost nothing “ . Possibly he could have asked me with a please and not refused me , as a grown up , customer, , unless I said please to him. I have been so insulted by this small individual and cannot understand how an establishment of this calibre would employ such a rude and ill mannered individual to serve their customers .

Stew was cheaper than lamb, but it was tasty

I went there yesterday (Sunday) and ordered a roast chicken. I waited for half an hour before my food arrived. It was one of the worst roast chicken I ever had. A Very tiny piece of chicken which was so tough and red in the middle. Two small pieces of roast potatoes that were so hard to break with your knife. It's a shame because I liked the place. Definitely not going back again.

We stayed in Belfast while touring Ireland and spent a night at the Thirsty Goat’s beer garden after dinner and had a great time! A lot of drink options, super nice waiters and the people we met there were super kind too!

We weren't planning to stop here but the sounds of some great live music lured us in. We opted for a couple of large whiskies. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was superb.

The Thirsty Goat was an incredible experience with my five friends! The atmosphere was lively, and the drinks were fantastic—perfect for a fun night out. We can't wait to return for more good times!

Absolutely loved this place! From the outside it seems quite ordinary but there is a palpable air of charm and homeliness to the place which lends to the whole experience. Service was swift and efficient but very friendly and attentive. Menu itself was elegant and I particularly loved their Thirsty Goat Boxty with traditional Irish potato cake, chicken, mushrooms and wilted spinach served with a creamy white wine sauce. Quite filling and very reasonably priced! Husband got the Seafood Chowder which was really excellent albeit a bit seafood-minimal. Still worth it but had they really gone all out on this, it could have been one of their go-tos, for sure. I would love to come back one day and it's really the sort of place you want to keep returning to for your nights-out and the spaciousness of the restaurant is perfect for parties and gatherings. What a wonderful and well-fed GOAT!

The wine is delicious, but the curry is terrible

A recommended place to eat typical dishes. The Irish Stew is very good, a must-try. Great attention, and a very pleasant atmosphere. Also in the afternoon/evening they have live music.

First visit to this place in Belfast. There was live music. The atmosphere was great. The staff was very friendly and so were the guests. We were recognized as non-natives and unexpected conversations started. There was a lot of fun.

We didn't try food but they have gluten free beer and cider. Very good atmosphere with live music.

The pub was very busy and we grabbed the last table. There were lots of groups of people and there was live music playing so it was quite loud too. We ordered the beef brisket boxty and seafood chowder. The portions were huge and it was real value for money. The chowder had large chunks of fish and potato. It was really tasty. My husband loved the boxty and has said several times since that it was the best meal of our holiday.

Enjoyed typical Irish dishes, accompanied by a Guinnes "beer".

Didnae eat but others looked good no smoking in outside garden ??? Only fault smokers get punished enuff....

This is a great wee place. We sat in the outside area for drinks. Everyone was so friendly and there was a live singer which surprised me for a Monday afternoon. A great wee find!

Good experience. A little dirty and in need of quality furnishings as the current ones are worn. Severs try their best and are friendly. Bouncers are friendly enough.

Nice dinner with a live concert, special mention for the singer, great voice and very good choice of repertoire. Diverse choice of dishes: world cuisine + Irish dishes! The service is great. Only downside, music too loud.

The waitress doesn't really listen and then blames you for the wrong dish. No insight. Generally very cold behavior for Irish people. Never again!

The reviews for this place don’t do it justice! We only drank here, didn’t have food. Affordable drinks with Heverlee and Guinness around the £5.80 mark per pint. We got to Belfast for a couples city break (aged 34) on Friday and headed here about 2pm… live music from the get go… (at a nice volume) Comfortable surroundings, good drinks, and the ideal time to grab a perfect spot to see us in to the evening….We ended up staying all day until 7pm! Lovely staff, and a definite must visit if you’re in Belfast!

The Thirsty Goat While working away, my colleague and I visited The Thirsty Goat. The food was solid—we started with wings and both had burgers, which were tasty and filling. The Guinness was good and well-poured. The pub has a good atmosphere, with a quirky charm. There's an outside covered area next to the main pub that serves alcohol and features live music every night. If you're looking for decent food, good drinks, and a relaxed vibe, The Thirsty Goat is worth checking out.

We had the lentil soup, seafood chowder, and a caesar salad to share. The seafood chowder was the best I've had and the lentil soup was excellent. Top experience, highly recommended!

Great pub with a really well executed menu. Roasted pepper soup was nicely spicy. 🌶

Ok so we love great places to eat and just hang out, this place checks all the marks and I will add the Carbonara is the best I have had, they have a great selection of beer my husband likes too.

Spent 2 nights running here, last night we were served by a young bloke in the bar area who had only been working on the bar a couple of weeks, top service and really pleasant to deal with. Tonight we ate food there and it was delicious.

Worst place to be if you're afro carribean. They kept serving other bar patriots drinks and over looked us consistently, when we pointed this out, the guy responded, saying that, "he serves who he sees". Shameful service!

Boring! No Atmosphere or Freindliness and it didn't help when a certain ponytail angry faced woman kept staring at us? For doing nothing but order a drink and wait for our taxi? First time in Belfast for a 40th. Came here for drinks on a busy Saturday night. Total carnage from the moment we set foot in the place. Staff clearly out of their depth with the demand of people requiring service. We were robbed of a drink we paid for and when we challenged it and asked if we could please have what we paid for we were met with filthy looks and eye rolls from the so called ‘manager’. I think all staff especially the manger require more training on how to not only do their job correctly but also how to actually treat customers like human beings and not something they’ve trodden in! Will not be back!

Highest quality food and very friendly staff. But then again its Northern Ireland, everyone is so friendly! Plus an excellent pint of Guinness .

Visited the thirsty goat on a busy Saturday night, bought a round of baby Guinness, the lad who served us spilt one and didn’t remake it, genuine mistake. But then was adamant he gave us it when he didn’t so one person didn’t get a shot. No one was willing to help then the manager came over who didn’t believe us, was rude and unfriendly. Would rather sit and waste time checking cameras when it was peak time on a Saturday night. Stood rolling her eyes at us and pulling faces at us, genuinely no need for it when we were being polite. Got recommended this place but I can’t disagree enough, staff were literally so rude.

It's a pub the ones I've been to are all the same good place to waste time, food is decent not the best for you but you're there drinking and having a good time.

lovely pub! nice and quiet on a sunday evening. the staff was kind and patient :) i tried a half of their own ipa and it was the best i've ever tried! usually a pilsner guy but i'm glad i tried this out! highly recommend this place for both locals and tourists :) only £3.50 for a half!

Nice food, amazing environment, NO LIVE MUSIC, and also only thing the deserts are a bit small for the price. But I recommend as it’s cozy and amazing staff. Very friendly to meet with friends.

I haven’t ordered alcohol here, so I can’t speak to the bar service. But, my experience dining here has been way above average. The first time I visited, I ordered a plate of chicken and waffles. It was exceptional and the portion was generous. When I returned a few months later, chicken and waffles had been removed from the menu, but they made it for me and my friend anyway. This was extremely accommodating. We also had a Sunday afternoon reservation that we moved several times, which was no problem at all. My only “complaint” is that their chicken and waffles dish seems to have been temporary. Please bring it back!

No food or simple bar snacks available unless you pre booked a table. Lots of empty tables at 5:30pm with reservations and lots of kitchen and waiting staff hanging around for orders.

Food looked good online. Was eager to try it out. Arrived at the venue and wasn't allowed in with my husband and baby because the venue doesn't allow children. The sign for this was next to the door and it said "no kidding". This was on a quiet stormy evening and the place was empty.

Has a kids menu listed on Google maps. Described as "casual" in the description. Doesn't advertise its "no children" policy. Wouldn't let us on for dinner with a 12 month old baby in a pram, even though the place was empty. Was hyped for their vegan options but ended up disappointed. Thanks for wasting our time.

Visited yesterday 10th April at 10:30pm ish. Celebrated my 25th birthday here. Simply superb vibe, especially that live music was fabulous. Best drinks ever I had in recent times.

The door staff are extremely aggressive. They stop serving at 12 but verbally assault you if you haven’t finished your drink and left by 12:10! Door staff at that time start calling customers names like hag & bas*ard if they haven’t left. Extremely unnecessary aggression and extremely rude to paying customers! Also all doormen coming in to bully customers into leaving so quickly meant no doormen were left outside. I witnessed an assault as a result of this! Would never go back due to extremely unprofessional and aggressive doormen!

Absolutely worth going to. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Food was fantastic. If I’m in Belfast again. That’s where I’m going.

Vibrant Vibe , Live Music that plays classic hits that you can jive to. Amazing Place and a lot of Indians to connect with while listening to live music. Met Amit and Yash who work there and loved talking with them. We were with friends from New York who loved the place too. We met John here who works in Shipyards and it was great connecting with people of diverse backgrounds. As the night grows the crowd grows in too 🥂 We are vegans and ideally eat only after looking at the menu options , since we had already had an early dinner before we reached TG we took our time to drink slowly and explore options of cider , lagers and liquors. This is a wonderful place and we are sure coming back here in August as we come for an extended Ireland vacation . People in Ireland are extremely Helpful, hospitable and nice. Thank You.

It started off really positive. We were able to be seated straight away on Easter Weekend. Great musical acts and food. Shame about the staff. I thought the waitress was going to punch me when I had told another waitress our tab had been closed before ordering another drink. I had a stand off with the waitress (who closed our tab before we finished) THE waitress came back slamming my drink down saying she asked if we wanted deserts and anything else which was a lie. We were expecting to have more drinks there but obviously lost in translation. Very rude Waitress. Would not recommend this place if you can't understand the accent you have no chance with the staff! . Staff needs to be trained in the hospitality sector.
