We wanted to find somewhere in Belfast for an informal, low key wedding evening do sort of thing. Somewhere we could meet all our friends and just have craic. Stress free! We booked the Jameson Garden in the National and it couldn't have been more suited. It's an outdoor area but covered if it rains (it's NI after all) and there's heaters. There's floral decoration on all the beams and it has a great atmosphere. It even has its own access to the outside bar. We pre-ordered food for our guests and it all went down well and they allowed us to bring wedding cake. I didn't have to chase anything up. It was all served when requested and everything just went smoothly- just want you want. Thanks guys!

Food was delicious and the overall setting was incredible with a beautiful big mirror to look at yourself while walking down from the bathroom. Has a great open space garden at the back which is great to be in on a summers day.

I had the most delicious breakfast here on Bank Holiday Monday - the Benny Special. There were a few of us in our party, and everyone loved their food. It's a really chilled out place with a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. I thoroughly recommend you go for breakfast when in Belfast. 👌

Excellent food and drink in an old building, modernized. There was no soap in the women's (for my wife) toilet. That was the only negative. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant.

Irish coffee was so good. And the chicken fingers and flat bread, all were brilliant!

Stopped in here twice while in Belfast , food is so tasty and staff and lovely. The chicken and waffles were amazing and Gluten free options with brunch too. Will be back when I visit again.

Good beer but very slow service

Found a hair in my “veggie sarnie” and didn’t feel what I got matched the description… for the price point (£10) the bread wasn’t as described as it was described on the menu as a flatbread… Atmosphere and decor was nice.

If you like your live music, then this is the place to visit. It's more of a bar than a club in the evenings, and it's mainly Indie/Rock music. There is an outdoor space for the smoking area, and a gazebo with another bar to watch your sports channels. It is a little expensive for drinks, and all of your mixers are served in bottles, not from a tap. There is a food stall outside next to the entrance that serves pizzas, which always has a huge que. The aesthetics are pretty with the hanging plants and garden themed bar to match the garden itself. I can't review food as I haven't eaten here yet or visited earlier hours.

My friends and I had brunch here, the inside is really pretty, the food was good and we only got the chance to try the non-alcoholic drinks but they were great (I had the Fresh Burst, highly recommend). What really stood out was the service. Everyone was really helpful and friendly!

Great atmosphere, could have done with a few more members of staff on for a Saturday night, took some of our group 20 mins to be served. A little odd that there's no pre warning that they're closing, we ordered a round and 30 seconds later got told to leave as they're closing, they did go round with plastics cups and that we could take them with us so we didn't lose the drinks

Called in for lunch with my partner - we were seated quickly and given menus and water for the table. I chose the reuben and my partner chose the Spenny of the day which was Xmas themed. Both were really good. We also had coffees which were lovely.

Came for our Christmas due and we where told to take our Christmas hats off. The bouncer was really aggressive and actually swore at us just because we had hats on i really dont understand this behaviour two days before Christmas. He will definitely be on Santa's naughty list.

The setting is almost worth it itself. A beautiful old building with some ceiling choices that make it at least fun to see. The coffee was good, and that's what we mostly had on a cold day. We didn't dine in so can't comment what it's like to have a full meal, but my friend snacked and enjoyed what they had. I'd try again in a pinch.

Tulimme aamiaiselle bändi-toverieni sekä Isäni kanssa. Ensin kävelimme ravintolan ohi, mitä meille sattuu usein. Tämä ei varsinaisesti ollut ravintolan syytä, mutta pienenä kehitysideana ehdottaisin suurta sumutorvea joka olisi ajastettu niin, että se törähtäisi esimerkiksi 12 sekunnin välein. Saavuimme ravintolaan ja ystävällinen tarjoilija johdatti meidät pöytään. Pöytä piti kuitenki ensin siivota. Emme saaneet itse siivota pöytää. Isäni on varsin fanaattinen siivooja ja hän olikin asiasta hetken pahoillaan. Hän sai kuitenkin imuroida takavaraston, mikä oli mielestäni kiva kompromissi. Isäni on myös hyvin kiukkuinen straight-edge vegaani. Tämän vuoksi tilasimmekin kaikki vegetaarisen aamiais-setin. Tämä sisälsikin kaikki terveellisen aamiaisen elementit: tomaatti, muna, papu, pekoni, leipä. Pekoni oli hyvin lähellä aitoa pekonia, koostumus oli lähellä tiskirättiä, mikä on makuuni todella hyvä. Syön niiyä päivittäin. Kananmuna paljastuikin oikeaksi munaksi. Minulle kerrottiin että munakin on mahdollista saada vegaanisena. Se valmistetaan niin että muna paistetaan normaalisti ja sitten se jätetään pois. Nerokasta! Kokonaisuutena ateria oli hintansa arvoinen. Isäni pahoitti tietenkin mielensä, mutta se oli minun vikani. Anteeksi isä.

We showed up in relatively tasteful fancy dress on Halloween and were immediately turned away, which was disappointing as I remember quite a few people dressed up as barbie when the film released. Had a lovely drink with my friends elsewhere though.

We were up in BELFAST and popped in here on the strength of recommendations on Google maps and we weren't disappointed. My wife had the BIG BURGER and I had a special of VENISON SAUSAGES AND ONION MASH. The fries that came with the burger were the nicest I've tasted in a long time and I had a half pint of Guinness to accompany my meal. It's open from 10am for breakfast and they serve meals up to 4pm when the place becomes a proper bar. Tables are well spaced out, service is prompt and friendly and the loos are spotless. We will definitely be back.

Nice ambience and lighting. We were at a company networking event (good choice of venue), but would happily go there again for a drink.

Went for lunch with friends. I had the eggs benedict special. I'd highly recommend it.

Just popped in for a quick drink. No physical cocktail menu available, just a qr code. Fine for me, but some won't like it. Actually found one just before we left even though the barman said there wasnt any 🙄 Got a pint of Estrella which was good, and a margarita cocktail served in a tiny glass. Place is nicely decorated and the service was fine.

Came for a water fight and everyone started crying... Not fun 😡

One of the more desirable drink locations in Belfast. Attracts a generally good crowd, multiple floors and spaces to suit preference. That said The National is typically packed in way past any sane capacity and even then with long queues to get in. A venue where I'm always happy to go and then regret trying when I do.

Had some lovely cocktails here, very fresh and fruity. The decor was amazing, unlike anywhere I've been before. In the back they had live music and pizza, which smelt and looked very good. Defo pop in for a drink if you can!

Don't let the trendiness put you off, the food is amazing and the atmosphere great. Chicken and waffles and an aperol spritz were a great "lazy Sunday on holiday" feast. A flat white was the best accompaniment to the densest most chocolatey brownie ever.

Could do with a good clean. Floors sticky. Tables sticky toilets uugh Staff are not very attentive. Food and drinks ordered never came Bill was incorrect (in out favour) and when we pointed out the items we hadn't been charged for cashier just shrugged shoulders

Had a really nice lunch at the National. Went for the Triple Decker Ham and Cheese toasty and fries. Not the kind of place I have lunch on a Monday but I’m glad I did. Food was great and the Espresso I had after was spot on. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I’m sure this place is bunged on a Saturday.

Only been here once, and I hated it. Bar attracts a lot of pretentious people, and one staff member literally blew me off, and refused to serve me. Terrible service. Gives revolution de Cuba a run for its money in the pretentious department.

We went here for a couple of nights whilst in Belfast because it was one of the few places in the locale where you could smoke in the beer garden. Young inexperienced staff, although the door staff were sound. City centre prices, to be expected given location. Not a great selection of draft. Nice heated beer garden though

We had food here on Bank Holiday Monday in May. When we entered the place was pretty full.. they were able to sit us at the other end of a big round table which was great but apart from those seats the place was full. Staff were really friendly especially the guy who took our order and brought us our food. Really attentive and friendly without being over the top. Only negatives about my visit was the food took quite a while to come and the doors were a bit sticky. I had the waffles and chicken and it was lovely, would definately get it again. Would recommend.

Another favourite bar of mine in Belfast. Since they spruced up the backyard with an outdoor bar and live music area, it's definitely a hotspot in town for all. I would recommend that if you're in Town, give it a visit you won't be disappointed. Great beer selection too! I didn't try the food, so I can't comment on that.

Bank Holiday weekend and wanted to sit outside on the terrace in the sun but the awning was over and there was no music playing. People walked in took 1 look and left.

We reserved tables here and were given space in the cocktail bar, it was quiet at first but obviously got busier as it got later. There was a live musician which appears to be a regular thing here. Cocktails were £10, they only did 2 non-alcoholic cocktails/mocktails so not ideal if some don't drink. Otherwise, a great option, it was 21 years old+ on Saturday evening. (I am only a visitor to Belfast but locals said live music and the 21+ is normal)

Really nice place, one floor staff in particular really made our trip, she was so friendly, gave us recommendations and she was so funny, shame we didn’t catch her name. Only thing we could ask is that the drinks were slightly cheaper, think would bring in a few more customers x

This place is amazing, the music is vibe me and my friends had good time .

I got kicked out without any reason, the bouncers grabbed me super violently and aggressively, I asked them if they could listen to me and let me go, I was not drunk or anything like that, told them I was gonna go out by myself. Horrible place, on my way in they were already giving me weird looks, maybe my gayness was too much and it made them feel uncomfortable. When this happened the place was very busy, families with their kids included, shame on them. Once outside I started talking in my native language and one of them started laughing at me, let’s add racism to the list. Shame on this place.

Absolutely shocking this place. Overpriced with a few hostile knuckle dragging bouncers who clearly need their SIA licenses revoked. Avoid.

We popped into The National just for cocktail. Nice range on the menu and all the drinks are made fresh in front of you at the bar. Lively atmosphere, we didn't go outside but there was live music on which was played inside. We didn't have food but it looked really good so may try next time.

I really enjoyed my falafel sandwich. It was very tasty and delivered quickly. The National is cool and a good vibe..the only thing was we had to sit on high stools. I prefer tables and chairs. OK, if you're under 40.

Couldn’t fault it. Had a working brunch here - the brunch bap was amazing. Portion of chips huge. Stayed to work for an hour after with an iced coffee and lemon and coconut traybake slice. Everything was amazing and the service was great too!
