The Thai Hut are usually at the market at Swanage every Friday although I get the impression they might have not been there for a while. They had not sold out of anything yet on this visit so I had the Penang Tofu Curry with Steamed Jasmine Rice. I think the curry might be a different recipe to the one I had here before but it was very good. The chef is friendly and provides a good service.

I visited The Thai Hut once in August. I think I got there before 11am after buying a load of fruit & veg at the market and a couple of pasties from another stall. Unfortunately they had sold out of the Tofu Curry so I tried the Yellow Noodles & Vegetables instead. It was quite tasty with peppery white shoots & other veg but I would stick with the tofu curry in future so will get there earlier in the morning.

The Thai Hut is open as one of the many stalls at the Swanage Market which is on every Friday in the long stay main beach car park. It is a short walk inland from the sea front. As far as I know they do not have an actual shop in the town & just operate from the market/s. They have quite a selection of different dishes on offer including a couple of vegetarian options. I ordered the Green Tofu Curry with Steamed Jasmine Rice. It was very tasty and at £6 I thought it was reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and I will buy a meal there again next time I visit Swanage Market.

Went to one of Christian’s tasting Tuesdays with my sister and didn’t know what to expect. He was testing a new menu and it did not disappoint! Fantastic quality of food paired with great conversation. A really special experience and would highly recommend to anybody with a love for food.

Finally.. somewhere in Swanage with real taste! The Sandwich Shed is a hidden gem. Run by a lovely couple who have crafted a small and delicious menu, made up of gourmet sandwiches. All on homemade focaccia, my favourite was the BBQ beef brisket served with sauerkraut, smoked cheese, crispy onions and homemade black garlic sauce. Accompanied by some freshly cooked skinny fries and smoky “shed” slaw and a drink from the pub in which the SS is situated, there is nothing to fault. Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys home cooked, quirky food.

We had looked at the reviews & saw they were extremely good so we was really looking forward to a lovely breakfast, we live in Dorchester so it was a little bit of a drive, but we thought we would see what everyone was saying great things about this hidden gem. (But as soon as we arrived before 11am we was looking at the breakfast menu & about to sit down when the woman who was serving at the till overheard what we was saying about our breakfast order & she immediately said breakfast is finished, no sorry or anything, extremely rude & sharp. So we left never to return again.

arrived here looking to order a pizza, 3 guys behind the counter just chatting amongst themselves, completely ignoring me for 10 mins and then finally took my order, said it would be a certain time, it took even longer and when it did arrive it was very average, do yourself a favour and go the Square and Compass for Pizza, they are much better and the staff are nice.
