The Terrace Restaurant in Fermanagh

Visited here for two evening meals with my wife on Saturday and then back on the Sunday evening. I ordered the WV chicken burger and my wife had the beer battered cod. My meal was poor in that the chicken was tough and not that warm. My wife enjoyed her meal though, thankfully. No one came to ascertain how we were doing and how was our meal. Made mention of my disappointment to Kirsty, our server, when paying as I wasn't asked during my meal. Offered to call manager but I stated it was too late as my meal was already over. Went again on the Sunday evening to give them a second chance. Was served by a young chap called Ronan and ordered the beer battered cod, wife's suggestion, and she had a main course version of the ham hock croquettes and was well pleased with it. A different serving experience from young Ronan who called during and after each course. Well done to him, he restored my opinion and faith to what it had been previously when visiting here.

Mum ordered the turkey dinner and I ordered burger and chips mums came out and the turkey looked old and dried up she poured the gravy on and tasted but gravy was cold. We called the waiter and he took it away. The same dinner came back heated obviously in micro was even more dried up than before. She did not enjoy this meal at all. My burger was lovely but the chips were not they too were old and dried up and not nice. When the waiter came over we told him Our complaints he called the manager who came over and apologised but kept saying turkey is always freshly cooked for each customer but I told him it did not look like it looked old but he wasn't really listening to us asked us how he can help???? So he didn't charge for mums meal will not be back really not a good experience.

This hotel are money grabbing idiots With terrible customer service I had an altercation with a waitress who kept trying to convince me if ordered things on the bill that I never ordered or received . In fact there were dirty coffee cups and glasses left from the previous customer on the table (they never even bothered to clean the table ) how disgusting and unhygienic . I’ve been all arround the world to hotels and never received such appalling service

Food was good, but a bit overpriced and portions of stir fry with rice were on the small side. Service was good. The manager was churlish and spoiled what was otherwise a pleasant meal.

The food was first class and service was excellent well worth a visit. Certainly will be back on our next visit to Enniskillen

I had the duck spring roll starter, which was lovely and well presented, whilst my wife had the chicken stir fry and I had the prawn stir fry. Staff added a portion of chips extra to the meal, as a compliment. Just to finish off we had the sticky toffee pudding. As far as we were concerned it was the best stir fries we have ever had whilst out and I made sure I spoke to Chef Colin to express our thanks for an excellent meal. Very good service by all concerned.

Was at a meeting in the Westville Hotel Restaurant. The group ordered meals with starters. The choice was very good. I had the shredded duck. It was well presented and a very good taste. The main was stir fry chicken which was again a great mix of fresh vegetables with deep fried chicken portions. Some other had the brisket on bed of mash which was also a well presented and cooked just right. If down Enniskillen way then call in for good food.

Had a wonderful meal in the Terrace Restaurant of the Westville Hotel. Although quiet, it had a lovely ambience. Rosie , our staff member was welcoming, friendly,helpful and attentive. For starter I had goats cheese with candied walnuts. Quality of cheese was superb! My husband had pork belly and apple puree which he thoroughly enjoyed. For main course we both had slow cooked beef brisket and red wine jus which was first class. Had sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Found the pudding on the dry side, so a little more butterscotch sauce would have compensated!! This was our first visit and will definitely be back on our next visit to Fermanagh.

Lovely wee spot for lunch. Family friendly,Relaxed atmosphere and good quality kids meals. Would definitely eat here again.

This restaurant is excellent; beautifully cooked food and a good variety to choose from. Staff very efficient and nothing too much trouble for them. Very high standard of cleanliness.

This restaurant belongs to a 4 star hotel. We ate there for our wedding anniversary, Saturday night. The decor is pleasing. We were first in the dining room and were able to choose our table. The place filled up. There was a big noisy group later. I had looked at the web site, it was misleading. There was no a la carte menu available. ( I was offered the bar menu by our waiter) The menu is very limited ( Have they heard of vegetarians?). I hate paper napkins in 4 star hotel restaurants. Perhaps the lack of table cloths sets a bistro style of eating? Started with Boathouse Cured Salmon- nice enough.(£6). The butter was rock hard and could not be used with the two pieces of brown bread provided on the 'plate' ( a piece of slate. I was limited to having the steak ( given the poverty of the menu) - nicely cooked. It came with the chips in a little dish, and the pepper sauce in a little dish, with a salad on the plate, and 3 onion rings ( battered). Plain. Yes. Cost £22. Perhaps I should be the chef, as this is something I could cook at home, along with the Pea Soup starter, plate out the Boathouse salmon, and cut up a cheese cake for dessert? My wife had the duck- well cooked, massive portion, in a dish with more mash potato than a brick layer could use. We were so disappointed with the simplicity of the cooking and presentation, we opted out of dessert- why bother? The waiters provided good service. It was impossible to get salt out of the cruet. This is an eating house. It can hardly be classified as a restaurant. I was looking for some proper cooking from a chef. What we got, for our anniversary, was a plain, plentiful meal. A great place to eat if you want loads of mash potato served in a bowl with your duck.

We ate in the Terrace Resturant for the 1st time on Saturday evening past and it certainly wont be the last. We were celebrating our wedding anniversay and the resturant had a lovely ambience to it. The menu was simple but plenty of choice and the portions were satisfying and great value for money. Service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and we even got a wee extra treat as it was our anniversary. Would thoroughly recommend this resturant (and hotel) and looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Westville !!!!

Fantastic menu we had today in the terrace restaurant at the Westville , the succulent duck was a great starter just perfect, but leaving room for the beef main which was cooked to perfection and of course our sweet dish which filled me to the brim , I even had a lovely coffee . The room was nice and people seemed relaxed as the chefs worked away through the hatch that everyone could see while waiting on their meals , toilet s are so clean here too makes the difference in a good restaurant , definitely will be back and truly recommend this place at lunch time .

We had a meal here last night and it was delicious. Staff were attentive without being in your face. Welcoming and friendly. Only thing was I like Australian red and you didn't have any by the glass, maybe a good thing : 0 Thank you to Patrick for ensuring everything was to our satisfaction

Food lovely, great coffee, clean excellent staff would recommend a visit to this hotel when in Enniskillen.

La comida es muy buena, pero el ambiente es blahhh. La iluminación es elevado en general así no hay sensación de intimidad. También suena eco así que oír las conversaciones de todos, lo que significa que oír el suyo. Mejor cruzar el vestíbulo del hotel y relajarse en el salón.

Mi familia y yo (5 adultos en total) eran de "Ins" para este establecimiento. A la vista era muy agradable, excelente decoración y bien presentado en todos los sentidos - en el camino. Nos dijeron que había una fiesta privada en el restaurante y nos guiada a la zona de bar. . Que estaba bastante concurrido con familias comer tarde un domingo por la tarde, muy acogedor. Esa es la opinión buena. .

We enjoyed a delicious evening meal in the lovely surroundings of The Terrace Restaurant. The room has a nice atmosphere especially for winter evenings. We had the sharing platter to start which was plentiful and lovely. The salmon I had for main course was just perfect. The portions are ample so be sure to be hungry on arrival here for a meal.

tried the terrace as it was close to where we were staying my wife had the scampi with proper chips and she said it was the bet she had ever tasted I had penne pasta with chorizo and chilli fab well worth a visit staff very young but very good

Took a group of 40 to the Westville for a leaving party. Staff were so helpful and friendly especially Finola and Jamie. Food was good we had a curry /stroganoff buffet and everyone got a good portion with chips and garlic bread. Nice location for a group as they had curtained off part of the restaurant for us and reserved tables in the bar for the music afterwards.

The restaurant was not open ? So bar was doing food ? The starters well chicken wings ? Yuck.sauce was to salty. ? The wing looked blonde? No colour and it was ery chilli hot ? But no flavour? The "pig and bird " over cooked chicken? Pork was ok potato was not a fresh potato. ? Frozen pellets. ? The sauce .wow ? Foget the desserts? To sum up to knowledge in the kitchen ? Get a chef pay him then watch the return .

Me and my young son went here and had our dinner in the bar. food was fine nothing too exciting but enjoyable all the same the only reason I wanted to Write this review is to mention the waitress on duty that evening who was very polite and mannerly and also very helpful seemed to be enjoying here job always smiling was a joy to see would like to thank her and maybe if you could give her a mention as well to show our appreciation Monday 21st around 5 o'clock was only her and another fella working at this time

We decided as a family to hold a funeral reception for my mother here as it was beside the cemetery. We thought that as it was close it would be convenient for all our family and friends to walk to from the cemetery, and therefore the guests wouldn't depart straight after the burial. We agreed in advance with the hotel to have the buffet service ready for 3.30p.m that evening and all we wanted was a row of tables along the rear of the room where people could help themselves to sandwiches tea/coffee etc. Unfortunately, the service provided on the day proved extremely poor; people started arriving at 3.15p.m and were sat at round tables and nothing was ready for the guests! The guests were offered tea/coffee. The main bulk of the guests starting arriving at 3.30p.m, but the food wasn't ready. We spoke to the staff and asked if they could get the buffet/sandwiches out for the guests to which they replied it will be ready in 5 minutes. The hotel staff had to put up an extra two tables as more guests arrived, but at 4.00p.m the food still hadn't arrived and guests started leaving. Some of the guests had even commented "are they providing food". At 4.10p.m the food eventually came out, 40 minutes after the agreed time. By this time, about half of the guests had already left without eating and overall the situation was very embarrassing for us as a family. To be fair there were no problems with the standard of the food, however the service as a whole was a great disappointment. If you are looking for somewhere to cater for specific needs then unfortunately we wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Food was awesome!! Sea bass was gorgeous, Creme Brulee was massive for a dessert, lovely food and great staff.

A group of friends ate at the Terrace last week. It was Love Local evening with all the produce from around the area.The Chef came out during each course and explained the dish. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Look forward to eating there again soon.Thank You.

we stayed at the Belmore hotel so this was next door. We nipped in for a meal at about 8 45 after a visit to the hospital. The meal, a burger, was very filling so much so that we were unable to finish it. The cost was very reasonable .

Comfortable clean restaurant, delicious food. extremely generous portions. would definitely eat here again.

I went to the Westville twice, both times I ordered the same food, beef stir fry, and both times the beef was off!! the second time I went back , I don't like complaining, but built up the courage to say to the bar staff that my beef tasted off they apologised and brought my plate away. 2 minutes later brought it back out and told me that is was fine and set it back in front of me and walked away. My friend told me that we should leave so we got up and went to walk out when they came running after us shouting YOU NEED TO PAY!! I explained the situation that the beef was clearly off and I was discussed that they were going to make me pay for a meal which was out of date or at least try to fix the problem by making me a new portion as I did not eat my food! Which was followed by her tackling into my friend about why she didn't pay for her food (which she didn't eat either!) Horrible place, will never be back!!

Two Family members and myself attended the hotel on Sat 15th Aug at 1pm for lunch. We went to this hotel as we have used it many times over this past number of years, for different occasions, and have being more than happy with the service and food on offer. Having ordered our meals and drinks which all came within five mins, which by all accounts is very fast. The reason for this very fast service became clear when the food was served to you, 1st it was a mess on the plate and 2nd having tried to eat it it was clear that this food offered to us had been re-heated to such a level it could not been eating. I raised my disappointment with the staff on duty, and in return all i received was a sorry followed by been asked to pay for meal. As said I have used this hotel many times before, but it is now clear that the level of food been offered is no better that a road side truck stop at double the price. staff on duty - Gillan Bar 3 15th Aug @ 1.12pm

My wife and I dined here for our anniversary and found the experience extremely good.We were seated quickly in a very nice dining room, which was quiet on the night we visited.The service throughout was very good especially a young waitress (Erin).The pork belly starter was as good as I have tasted and the steak main was excellent.The dessert menu was a little uninspiring but adequate.Overall we certainly will return.

The service and choice of menu again in general the staff most attentive and most pleasant no no rushing us through the meal and good follow up wuth regard our meal

The evening meal was excellent, with a good menu. Each of the 4 in the party had a different choice and all were pleased. Including a bottle of wine and soft drinks we were pleased with the very reasonable cost.

The Sunday lunch at the Westville was probably the worst I have ever encountered, for a hotel not to have roast chicken at 2 o'clock was bad enough but to serve roast beef that was curling up at the edges,new patatos that were green in colour and not cooked,cold veg served in a dish that you could not touch it was that hot was bad enough it was embarrassing

Sunday lunch, disappointed, very average. On entering dining room the waitress looked like- Oh no, more work for me. I considered leaving. Waitress in bar area was pleasant. The veg was served in bowls like soup bowls, one each of cauliflower, carrot and parsnip and roast potatoes. Between 6 this was not adequate.

First I would like to point out the the staff are all world host trained which gives them the benefit of being 1st class in customer service so the customer is already onto a winner in this establishment. I have eaten both in the bar area and restaurant with friends, family and sometimes solo and no matter what the occasion or number of diners, have been treated exactly the same by the staff. They couldn't be more welcoming or hospitable which might I add you do not get in all of the Enniskillen restaurants.The food is good quality and standard both in the bar and restaurant and never fails to deliver for an enjoyable relaxed place to dine no matter what the occasion you get such a warm welcome.

We were supposed to have a 4 course meal, paid for by our son when booking the Belmore. When the waitress found out we were from the Belmore her attitude changed entirely. We were given a separate menu (much shorter than the official one) and then were told we could only have a main course and coffee. No effort was made to ask how our meal was, did we enjoy it etc. Felt like we were not wanted. Would definitely NOT recommend it. Totally spoilt our trip!!!!!

Good breakfast, included with the room!Helpful staff, quick service, good choice of food.We were later than planned, so the fruit juice and bread for toast were in short supply, but were replenished upon asking!

I've had the pleasure of eating in this restaurant on several occasions, be it for Sunday lunch or for an evening meal (also eaten in the bar) and I haven't been disappointed yet. Being in the catering industry for over 20 years, I have to say...I love this place! The food & staff make it a pleasure.

Enniskillen needs more restaurants of this calibre. The decor is subtle but classy. For entree I had the tempura prawns, which were well cooked and accompanied by a very flavoursome green salad. My wife had the rib-eye steak medium rare and I chose the lamb rump which was very succulent. All this accompanied by a Peter Lehmann Chardonnay for a total of 68 GBP. I know the reviews have been mixed but we had no complaints about the service or the quality of the food.

Surroundings lovely and friendly staff but food dreadful.Had Sunday lunch aprox 1 year ago and would not return.Worst I have ever had. Steamed meat, over cooked cauliflower and lumpy potatoes. Awful.Please raise your standard and I will return

My wife and I dined her this evening for the second time in about two months. We ate off a 'seasonal offer' menu and for the second time in about two months I was incredibly impressed. The staff were impeccable, friendly and knowledgeable. We'll done Killian, Tara and Kirsty. The food was superb. The restaurant is a lovely environment to dine in. This was fine dining! I ate Lamb on the first visit and the reduced jus to accompany was sensational. Tonight it was a pasta starter and steak for my main. Char grilled asparagus, yum! Please don't discard this restaurant if you looking for a first class eatery. To be objective I feel it would only be appropriate to criticise something....... The chips are too tasty! (It's the best I could do)

We ate here as a family of 4 on a Saturday night in December - we were staying in the adjacent Hotel so this was handy for young children. Positives : Really pleasant and comfortable interior, pleasant seating and pleasant and attentive staff. Negatives - Food was - and here is an Enniskillen commonality it seems - just mediocre for the high prices charged - my Chicken was extremely dry and seemed to have little chicken present - my wifes steak was OK and the kids meals again just OK and overpriced. Presentation of the food was very nice but food quality average at best. Would recommend this place for a pleasant drink in relaxing environment but could not recommend the food unfortunately.

Went here as our first choice was booked up. Had bland sunday dinner in the hotel before so was looking for my view changed. Our seats were excellent, but the service was one of the worst things- no wine chiller, wine not opened, didnt feel looked after the whole night. Whilst ordering I was asked how i wanted my chicken cooked (!). The starters were the best things- gorgeous. The mains werent in the same vein. Sirloin low quality, the chicken dry, the "jus" too salty and like a glaze. We ordered truffle fries, no difference to regular sent them back. Over all not terrible but I wont be raving about it.

we ate there in may 2013, food was terrible, potatoes were instant, salmon was terriblemanager tried to [--] us saying potatoes were real!, fish smelled bad.also felt sick later that night, fake potatoes in Ireland? you have got to be kidding

Really enjoyed our meal last Saturday Night in te Terrace Restaurant.8 of us arrived for per dinner drinks in front of the fire. The restaurant has been newly decorated and provides a great atmosphere.We weren't rushed and had a great choice on the menu.With scallops, steak and sea bass on the menu, all tastes were catered for.Our meal was absolutely fabulous, with excellent service and lots to drink.Thanks toGavun Cassidy and the team at the Terrace.Back soon.

Excellent food offer, which is hidden under fairly humble surroundings. The restaurant was fairly empty on the evenings we ate there, however, absolutely beautiful food offer, cooked in an open kitchen for those with little to talk about!

Food never disappoints, great variety, excellent quality

Try ordering your Sunday roast beef with the gravy on the side and you really get to see what they try to pass off as meat. Still can't figure out how any 'kitchen' could allow that quality of food to be served up. I took the safe option and refused to eat it. We definately won't be dining there again......

After Cafè Merlot we decided to try this restaurant (which by the way was not suggested by our BB host, so it's really our fault) because of the raving reviews and ads on a local tourist guide.It turned out we were the only ones at the restaurant which can be depressing for some, but for us it was ok.Glasses and cutlery were not clean so we had to ask the waiter to replace them. I suppose that being us the only ones to wait one should pay more attention.The open view kitchen is actually more like a 'gas chamber' and you will likely end up smelling like a smoked salmon at the end of the dinner, not exactly what we fancy (especially my wife).The food was ok, but nothing that we should write about, except for the fact that it is definitely overpriced. Service is just ok, but I wouldn't call it friendly or attentive.

I am only getting a chance to write this now, after a recent visit to my girlfriends family in Co Fermanagh, but the memory of such a wonderful dinning experience still stays with me and I had to let others know. I was actually extremely surprised with the quality of food and stanard of service we received in the Terrace Restaurant, when my guests and I went to dine. The Rabbit was devine and all of my fellow guests loved their dinning too.We ate out in Ireland four times while I visited including fine restaurants in Belfast and Dublin and must say the Terrace blew the rest away, trust me I am French and I know great food, can't wait to return. Bravo

I have recently had a meal with my friend there and absolutely everything was made with perfection. From the moment we entered the restaurant, through the whole night. Staff would do everything to make you happy, but with such a quality food, nothing can go wrocng. It is also very resonably priced. You don't have to be resident of the hotel to dine in there and I would recomend it to everyone.

Has an open kitchen-food is excellent-service is a little slow.

I recently had a lovely meal with my girl and I honestly can say it was the best meal i have ever had. Both service and food are fantastic! There is also live musisc at weekends. Would recomend to everyone both for romantic meal and family or friends dinner meeting.

I had one of the best meals of my life this weekend in The Westville Hotel (shouldn't say that as I am married to a chef!!!!) but it was......The restaurant decor is modern and funky and the whole hotel has a boutique feel. The menu choice was excellent and I settled for scallops and lamb but these were very nearly outdone by the between course favours that the chef sent out!!!! At £30 per head, this set menu might seem a little pricy but it was fantastic value and honestly one of the best foody experiences I have ever had. I cannot recommend this highly enough and if you haven't tried it - make a booking as soon as you can.
