The atmosphere was tremendous, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a revisit.

My friends and I went to terrace and my friend had thick flat shoes on (without a back) whereas I had slim heels on (with no back). However, the manager insisted she was more likely to get glass in her foot than me and proceed to deny us entry even though her shoes were more substantial than mine. The female manager, proceeded to let men in flimsy shoes in to the bar, and it was no more than a demonstration of misogyny. Absolute shambles of an institution, avoid at al costs.

The owner is absolutely pathetic and supports men more than women. A man in a completely flat shoe is allowed entry and a women isn’t, absolutely shambles. The door staff are so rude, and the owner is incompetent and holds double standards for men and women.

Bouncers were awful. Bar was OK but the moment I walked completely sober the bouncers had their eye on me. Got thrown out when I went to the toilet. Completely out of order the way I was treated.

Drinks are too expensive, DJ changes songs every 30 seconds and cant even mix them correctly.

Went both Friday and Saturday night. Friday was kinda dead but Saturday you could hardly move. Great atmosphere and vibe

Visited this place with two friends. We didn't even get in the building. They turned away because we do not have vaccine passports.

Me and my partner went out for a few drinks one evening and decided to try this bar for the first time. Well we won’t be going back. For two drinks we paid about £25 bearing in mind we only ordered 2 double vodka and lemonades???? And the bar wasn’t even of the best atmospheres either to be in.....

The good place for dancing and good place for spend a gpod time with friends. A lot of kinds of alcohol. Recommend.

I was refused entry due to carring an empty glass from a previous establishment, so which I asked if they had a recyling system (I was trying to get rid of said offencive glass item). If you're going to recycle old music, at least recycle glass/bottles 😘

Grumpy bar Lady owner, If you're wanting peace & quiet in your bar on a Saturday night you should have considered opening a library.... I didn't realise Leicester City bars had racism to this level,! I would never recommend this place to anyone... We were a crowd of over 40s looking to have a cracking night and apparently we were being too loud..... She basically lost a crowd who were willing to spend money with out a care...You'd be mugs to put money in her pocket

One of the bald door staff was very ruthless and threw me down the stairs, injuring my hand for absolutely no reason. Saying that his "Boss"told him to? Which doesn't make any sense.

Was asked to leave because I was very drunk 😂 but door staff was very professional and dealt with my drunk behavior very well. I have had bad experiences with door staff before where they have beat me because I was arguing about being rejected from a premises so hat's off to the terrace door staff for being so patient and understanding and have restored some faith in me that not all door staff are muscle heads and who think they can beat up innocent people because they are drunk... Thank you door staff !!

IF you can get in it is always ridiculously packed. you spend around 20-25 min queuing for a drink. Bouncers are rubbish and so is the management. they refused to give over cctv footage of my mate getting beaten up because they didn't want to ruin their reputation. I will be avoiding this place for sure!

Advised 1 in 1 out. Waited 25 mins. 7 peeps had left and they'd let 2 in. Made a comment about it within earshot of the door men. Then another 4 peeps left and they only let 1 person in. Made another comment. We're at the front and guy decides to be egotistical and advises I'm not allowed in but my wife and 2.family members are. Neanderthals need educating in Math and how to speak and greet paying customers to their establishment. Place is otherwise great inside as been many a time but sort your door men out......

Read a review regarding a guy getting glassed & the bar not having any sort of reaction to help him at all. Protecting awful bouncers & being immoral. Haven’t been to the actual pub, but wouldn’t plan on it.

After my boyfriend being glassed in an unprovoked assault in here terrace has refused to release CCTV of the attack. I am absolutely disgusted with how they have dealt with this. Worst night of my life by far!!

Fab night out at the Terrace with a bunch of UoL mates, who might I add "get" the pub and club scene a little bit better than I do! But we did have a whale of a time though. Place is big and tight, so it was quite fun taking the time to explore every nook and cranny of the building as the night went on. Staff were attentive, got drinks quickly and we never felt too encumbered by the volume of people dancing and hanging around the place. Couple of idiots, but that was nowhere near enough to hamper the evening. Fun night out.

I visited on 8th Sept, my rum and coke tasted like it had no rum. I took it to the bar man and explained, he said I needed to ask the lady that served me, he tried to call her but didn't catch her attention so instead of going up to her he shrugged his shoulders and carried on serving another customer. After waiting for another 10 mins, I stopped him serving another customer and asked what happened to calling the lady that served me? He said "you need to go find her" and walked off!! So it's up to me to go up and down the bar on a Sat night when it was busy to go find the lady and tell her?! This idiot refused to help me! I then told another barman who was quick to check my drink and poor some rum in.

I visited this venue with my partner and another couple on sat 25th August 2018. My partner has inoperable and advanced cancer and has been having chemotherapy at Nottingham for the last 6 months which is gruelling and as most know has side effects such as losing your hair, eye brows and eyelashes. My partner has little confidence in her appearance and on a rare night out visited a couple of bars that welcomed her with a hat on. We then went to The Terrace where the two idiots on the door told her to take her hat off. I tried to explain she was having chemotherapy but they couldn’t give a damn!!! Saying it’s policy that there are no hats! I asked to speak to the manager and they didn’t bother instead slouched against the wall in an arrogant and dismissive fashion. My partner who was embarrassed straight away said to leave it but I felt so sorry for her being treated this way again asked for the manager as I thought they would of course understand.... but no they refused and were so unhelpful and rude it upset me. I asked for their SIA number and refused to show me! We walked away demoralised and in complete disbelief!!! We are 42 years old, professional people who cause no problems anywhere. The hat wasn’t a fashion statement, it was just to give my partner some dignity..... but that night they took what little dignity she had left.!!! These guys aren’t professionals they are jumped up little door men who represent an establishment! Supposedly ambassadors of a popular Leicester bar!!! Disgraceful and unforgivable!!! I hope they don’t experience having a loved one with cancer and what a hard time you already have without idiots making life that bit harder to swallow!!Please share!!!

I left my drink in to go out for a cigarette and someone from the bar took it.. however, i went to explain my problem to a nice lady ( Ashley) and she made me a new drink. Thank you and super nice service!

I have never been treated so rudely by staff in a bar. The manager was a joke, and unreasonable when I tried to appeal the bouncers decision to not let my friend in for wearing ‘flip flops’ which were in fact smart Black and sparkly as she cannot wear heels due to a back problem. I am appalled at the other comments from other people’s experiences of the rude and prejudiced staff in this awful place.

This is a great place to drink on a night out and I have been there many times. This time was a Saturday night, we were out for a friends birthday with a few new people with us. We were dressed up in top hats and suits and ballroom dresses but wasn't even let through the door. There were about six of us with hats and the extremely rude doorman wouldn't even let us through the door without putting our hats on the floor behind them. Now I am not saying these hats were expensive but mine alone cost over £60 and I had no intention of putting my hat on the floor in such a busy venue for anyone to come up and pick up. We tried to explain to these doorman that they were expensive hats but he was having none of it. He was even rude to my wife who was one of the new people I was taking to The Terrace. As lovely as this place is inside, we will not be going back again! From looking at these other trip advisor comments, I am not the only one thinking this! Get doorman who dont have a god complex!!!!!

This place needs closing down...was sat with friends most of the night then doorman came over and asked us to leave for no apparent reason....I said I'll leave when ive finished my drink he then decided to physically throw me out leaving me with bruises to my wrist....I asked for his badge number but he and the cocky rude manager refused to give it to us. Unless you're under age they really don't like the more mature people in there. How this place is still open is beyond me!! AWFUL!

Always a good atmosphere and a nice mix of age groups. I have always found Terrace very welcoming and there's a really good selection of drinks available - particularly if you're a gin lover. I would say Terrace is probably my favourite bar in Leicester.

Want to feel like you're in a 1930s speakeasy? Then this is the place for you. Drinks are expensive, but tasty/decorative; bundles of atmosphere!

Great bar with a excellent atmosphere especially when they have the live band playing! Staff are friendly and accommodating, Drinks are reasonably priced with a large selection of spirits, beer and bottled beer and cider. Cockerill bar is upstairs. Great place to go on your night out!

I have been in here and I like the terracedownstairs has wooden flooring and on the upper floor there is seating with quaint candles on the tables and it is a nice place to go on a date upstairsI myself have never been in this place in a really large groups so I cannot comment on that one but I have always had a pleasant time in here and felt safe with the bouncers on the door if any trouble occurredHowever one night a man attacked another man upstairs by just leaning over and hitting him on the head while he was sitting on a stool and the man shook his body with shock (I was over the other side of the room and saw it)It was over a woman and the woman went to the toilet crying I then went toilet myself and saw the friends of the man the guy hit crowding around the guy on the stairs and they sorted it out and probably told him to leave before he wrecked there nightand I would of done the same thingHe may of still had a thing for her and was lonely but it isn't the correct way to go about it because it just drives her further away and maybe he would of woke up in the morning thinking i'm an idiottry this place its a trendy place to go but it can be pricey..

Great atmosphere, music and a mixed crowd. Its an all ages bar. The door staff and bar staff were very friendly. The toilets were lovely , however on the lower ground floor.a great place for a night out, would definitely recommend it.

La última noche nos sentamos en la terraza que unos pocos eventos sociales mantener nuestro negocio para nosotros. Como había pocos más de 10 de nosotros" Asiáticos" nos pidieron dejar. Cuando le preguntamos por qué el dueño dijo que no "grandes grupos". Todo lo que había hecho fue ir a tomar algo y conocí a unos cuantos colegas mientras. La única razón por la que nos pedían que era el color de nuestra piel, ya que no había otra razón. No nos t que es ruidosa o desordenado. Hay muchos grupos con más de 10 personas, sin embargo, nunca se pidió irse, la única diferencia era el color de la piel. Todo lo que puedo decir no será gastar mi dinero allí ya #racistas

Glamorous place, I love the environment in there, plus they take in concern every detail. For example, they have a very fancy aquarius in there, with exotic fishes, that gives to everyone the opportunity to take a picture like if they were in Maldives.

Pareja y multitud elegante a diferencia de algunos lugares en Leicester, grandes hombres de la puerta y el personal del bar. Lo recomendaría más empleados, ya que se llena muy rápidamente, los precios razonables!

No sé Leicester. Veníamos de Londres para visitar Richard III Centro de Visitantes y la Catedral y nos dimos un paseo a lo largo de Market Street a ver las tiendas. Había Fenwick's Department Store y el localizador de tiendas dijo que había un restaurante en el segundo piso. Teníamos hambre y decidimos almorzar allí. El desayuno inglés era tan bueno que tuve uno en vez de una selección de comida más tradicional. Fue muy bueno y el té. Comer en lugar de descanso un inesperado (para mí).

Vino a la terraza con sus compañeros de trabajo como pasado de una noche y realmente lo disfruté.

Hemos ido a la terraza en los últimos 3 años y me pareció un lugar acogedor muy agradable ir a, buena música y un bar agradable y personal de la puerta. Pero los últimos 2 Sábados he estado ha sido absolutamente terrible! El personal de la puerta son muy desagradables y displicente, había cristales y bebidas derramada por todo el piso, el personal no parecía que quería trabajar allí, ha pasado de ser posiblemente el mejor lugar de la ciudad que posiblemente lo peor, siento decir, que solía ser un lugar muy agradable para ir, qué pena!!!

Came here on a summers night and had some very nice cocktails, but they took an age and were made upstairs to be brought downstairs. Lovely leather chesterfield sofas and a very clean venue. Just needs Finer points sorting and it's 5/5

¿Qué es lo que pasa con los tropezarte continuamente con odiosos porteros? Nos quedamos todos tener un muy buen tiempo y uno de los porteros siguieron viniendo y diciéndonos cómo comportarse?! Teníamos 3 botellas de champaña pasamos una cantidad invisible de dinero, por no mencionar viajamos desde fuera de la ciudad para pasar una buena noche fuera y todos nos dieron fue dolor de los porteros. Y cuando pregunté si podía tener una bebida Strawberry cheesecake virgen me recibieron con un recto no!! ¿Por qué no? No coloque la bebida en!! Simple!

Esta era mi segunda vez en la terraza, y aunque el lugar en sí es precioso, se hizo evidente que el personal del bar necesitan un entrenamiento básico.

Visitamos aquí una noche de sábado. Llegamos a eso de las 10:00 como un grupo de 6 chicas y no tuve problemas para entrar en absoluto, de hecho la mayoría de los otros estaban en grupos de más de 6 así que quizás críticas anteriores son referidos a grupos más grandes? De todos modos, pedimos algunas bebidas esperaba una gran factura del bar y de nuevo nos sorprendió gratamente. Un vodka con coca-cola Light was circa 4 libras, por lo que pensé que era razonable y no es caro. El menú de cócteles era abundante y fueron razonables en unas 7 libras - pero muy sabrosos. disparos de donuts de chocolate son vale la pena probarlo! Música comenzó un poco lento, pero estacas tempo alrededor de las 23:30 como el bar estaba muy lleno. Ambiente muy agradable, el personal era muy agradable del bar y una velada agradable para todos.

He visitado la terraza en Leicester un par de veces y tuvimos experiencias totalmente diferentes. Una vez fue un jueves, donde la música en vivo fue excelente y el personal del bar era agradable. Las bebidas eran sin duda tirando a caro pero que podía...

Fuimos al bar a finales de enero con la intención de conocer unos amigos que ya estaban en la parte de arriba del bar. Estábamos celebrando un 30° de amigos.
