Drop into here 2 or 3 times a week for breakfast or lunch. Food always very good, staff and atmosphere friendly, prices reasonable. They do some deliveries also. Very responsive to customer’s needs - visited and requested salad cream ( not mayo, as I’m a bit common😋). Though they didn’t have any first time there, the next time I visited, they’d got a bottle in! They’ll also cook and trim (or not) the bacon to your personal preference. There’s an atmosphere and customer-focus here that you just don’t get in the big franchised eateries. I’ll continue to support this great local business.

We have met here on several occasions as part of a group of friends. There is a very relaxed atmosphere and the people serving are very friendly. It is family family and even stages special activities for children during school holidays. Although we are not cup cake fans, their items look stunning. There is a free car park not far away on the opposite side of the road.

My friend and I visited this little gem of a cafe and can recommend it to you. The menu provides choices from snacks to meals at reasonable prices. We only wanted a cup of tea and it was served in a china teapot with bone China cups and although the cakes there looked very tempting we resisted as it was close to lunch. The service was efficient, very friendly and welcoming and we will definitely be calling again.

This place is full of drug users and the service is really poor. The manager is rude and needs a lesson in customer service. Avoid!

The place is disgusting, friendly staff. I believe the cleaner either doesn’t exist or likes to hide. Plug sockets and light fittings have black residue in the switch so the sockets aren’t getting wiped down , the mirrors are not wiped down and have tooth paste and spit all over, cups by the sinks appear to have been found on a building site and not washed since their discovery, carpets wore out, distasteful furniture everywhere. Bedroom doors are dirty and full of light damage. Black patch of mould on the bedroom ceiling . The bed was ok, the shower in my opinion is potentially an archeological find, not modern old pipe and tap system by passing the bath tap, this will randomly fail and blast cold water on one foot and hot on the other . I would suggest paying the extra 30 pounds and stopping at a premier inn . For reference I only wanted a clean room and a Shower after driving 170 miles plus eight hours of hiking by Pen Y Fan, I didn’t expect much from a budget hotel however cleanliness was an expectation that was far from met, Simon has also been banned from booking hotels due to this error that he had made. Camping in the Brecon Beacons would have been just as clean with a better smell. I had seen reviews on trip advisor after the booking, I strongly suggest that people take reviews seriously, however , if your the kind of person that likes to freeze one foot and scold the other, touch filthy light switches and door handles, use a tv that is temperamental, look at old furniture have a damaged bedroom door look at other people’s tooth paste on your mirror walk on worn out carpet, sleep in a room where the heating was not turned on in early winter, and you have no controls as all controlled centrally alongside gazing at a patch of mould on the ceiling in the late evening and walk through a hotel that smells of spices, drink in a bar that’s worn out like a Blackpool 70’s disco, well this is the place for you. I felt like a tramp sleeping here. Otherwise go premier inn . Potentially more expensive but you’ll probably have a nice experience and the added bonus of parking . This property would be much better as a demolition site.
