Probably the best fish and chips ive had in reading, considering i got it delivered too my house too, it was piping hot still and fresh, the batter on the cod was so light and crispy and the thick white flakey cod inside was amazing and there was literally no grease at all , i will definitely be coming here from now on

Ordered at 5:30pm and requested a delivery at 6:45pm. it turned up at 7:45pm. During the hour delay the time to delivery varies between 25 mins and 11mins and switched between them so we had no idea if it when it would arrive. How do I get a refund please?

ordered at 6.15pm didn't turn up until 8.03pm burgers were fine but the chips could've done with being hotter.

The driver was late and had no idea where to go. He wasnt even in the right road. He called to say I had put the wrong address down. I explained I hadn’t and told him where to go. When he turned up the food was obviously stone cold. This is the third time this has happened now and completely unacceptable. Why are you using couriers on bicycles or people that have no idea of the local area People that order food don’t expect it to taste like its just been served from the fridge

Delivery said 18:10 to 18:30. Actually arrived at 19:26. No communication to say it was delayed until 3 minutes before the food arrived, when it updated on the app.

I order from the tasty place at least once a week the food is fantastic. Their service is brilliant and the food is hot when it arrives. Keep up the good work tasty place.

the driver bought me the wrong order I'm not happy so someone else has the wrong order to help has taken the food back but it was not delivered

I go to The Tasty Plaice because they do GF on Sundays. I always liked the food but was not totally happy with the fish today. There was too much batter and not a lot of fish, and I know it's not because of it being GF, as I've had very good fish in the past. I also noticed today that GF is dearer than non GF. Why

The tasty plaice is well priced with tasty food and lovely staff who always welcome you with a smile. They offer gluten free on Sundays which is great for me due to having a gluten allergy and cannot fault the quality of the gluten free food. Lovely local family run business 🙂

Great! , the place l ordered from was a great fish&chip dhop in the 70's, 80's , then someone else took it over , food was horrible , more like Mr Cod , frozen fish in bread crumbs , frozen chips , but the new owners have got it RIGHT ! very good ! ,

Pre ordered for 17.00 although understood it would not be 17.00 I felt 17.45 latest would be reasonable. Food was delivered in a paper bag and needed warming up again, not helped that there was an additional delivery stop before ours, arrived 18.30

Food is great quality, polite staff & friendly. Donner Kebab is worth trying i was there yesterday and because it was so good went back the next day.

Please change the bread for the kebabs back to the way it used to be

Everything was nice except the cheese and onion slice that looked like it had been over cooked in the microwave.

I suffer from headaches from eating oily foods and batter, but the taste and the texture was amazing I loved every bite out of my food, I have tried loads of chippies but this place by far has been the best I’ve ever had in my entire life, it is a bit pricey but honestly so worth every penny spent, the sausage was so good and the chips were very light and fluffy no oil present at any point, even the chicken strips were made to perfection.

We ordered a lot of food the day before for a family party. It was a little bit late in arriving but cant complain about that due to the amount of of food we ordered. It was hot and very tasty. Large portions as well so plenty of food for everyone.

I'm a regular customer and tonight I ordered a chicken lamb kebab that was well undercooked I'm so unimpressed

Lovely place, sweet fish and chips, chips were lovely and fresh lots to choose from I jumbo bed sausage and chips with a pickled egg and it was lovely. Seemed all freshly cooked service with a smile not too bad with the queues bit of parking out front.

Lamb donner very tasty and good value for money. Only thing I would change is a little less chilli sauce . The chips are lovely too .

Fast service and food has been on point every time I've been. Rare to find a chippy where the batter isn't soggy and the food doesn't taste of old oil. Will be going back many times I suspect!

Although we were informed via the app that delivery would be delayed it was still frustrating and considering the distance from the shop to our house the food was nearly cold. felt like it had been on the hotplate linger than it should. normally I have no complaints about the tasty plaice but today they just didn't deliver. very disappointed

I regularly collect food from this takeaway but had it delivered this time because I was busy. The large chicken kebab was smaller than its usual small side. It was very sloppy, the chicken was cut very thinly in an attempt to bulk it out (it is usually large chunks). The lettuce was warm and there was no other salad despite being requested. The chips also tasted old. Really disappointed.

One of the haddocks was very dry, unfortunately, although the other was delicious and tasted more fresh.

Food arrived cold. The portion of chips ordered was not a large. Will stick to collecting it myself in the future never had cold food or small portions when I have collected before.

Never consistent food, either very good or unfortunately like tonight we'll overcooked almost burnt.

Absolutely fuming food is cold took ages to get here not sure if drivers fault or restaurants but when looking at map tracking it driver had it for a fair while and looks like delivered more than 1 customers so if that's the case surely should have been notified angry as my son is autistic and when it states a time and I tell him be here at such and such and then 45 minutes late so he has a meltdown and hungry so disappointed

Seems to depend who is cooking, sometimes quite nice, othertimes overcooked and greasy.

I normally get Uber eats to deliver from the Tasty Plaice, however on this occasion there was parking outside. Glad I stopped, friendly staff and very helpful. The foods good too. Recommended. Thank you.

Hi I have been ordering fish and chips for my mum most Fridays. She has complained a couple of times that the fish has been overcooked. Maybe it’s been fried too long as the batter is very dark in color. Just wanted to let you know so you can keep an eye on that and I can keep mum happy. I’ve ordered here myself many times and I love your grub😁

Amazing gluten free menu! It’s so difficult to find a chippy that does gluten free. The food tasted amazing and the service was fantastic. Highly recommend!
