Lovely place, sweet fish and chips, chips were lovely and fresh lots to choose from I jumbo bed sausage and chips with a pickled egg and it was lovely. Seemed all freshly cooked service with a smile not too bad with the queues bit of parking out front.

Brilliant food, clean and fresh, and so much variety and the price is reasonable and you get alot for your food.

Lamb donner very tasty and good value for money. Only thing I would change is a little less chilli sauce . The chips are lovely too .

Good food, not too greasy and ok price

Chips were a bit soggy and anaemic but this was a Friday night and they were all pre packaged ready to go so assume they’d been sat there a while

I stopped there during my vacation to taste local food (French tourist), the servings were copious, the food was tasty, the curry sauce was really good but most of all the staff and the manager were really nice !

Fast service and food has been on point every time I've been. Rare to find a chippy where the batter isn't soggy and the food doesn't taste of old oil. Will be going back many times I suspect!

Although we were informed via the app that delivery would be delayed it was still frustrating and considering the distance from the shop to our house the food was nearly cold. felt like it had been on the hotplate linger than it should. normally I have no complaints about the tasty plaice but today they just didn't deliver. very disappointed

I regularly collect food from this takeaway but had it delivered this time because I was busy. The large chicken kebab was smaller than its usual small side. It was very sloppy, the chicken was cut very thinly in an attempt to bulk it out (it is usually large chunks). The lettuce was warm and there was no other salad despite being requested. The chips also tasted old. Really disappointed.

One of the haddocks was very dry, unfortunately, although the other was delicious and tasted more fresh.

Food arrived cold. The portion of chips ordered was not a large. Will stick to collecting it myself in the future never had cold food or small portions when I have collected before.

Never consistent food, either very good or unfortunately like tonight we'll overcooked almost burnt.

Absolutely fuming food is cold took ages to get here not sure if drivers fault or restaurants but when looking at map tracking it driver had it for a fair while and looks like delivered more than 1 customers so if that's the case surely should have been notified angry as my son is autistic and when it states a time and I tell him be here at such and such and then 45 minutes late so he has a meltdown and hungry so disappointed

Seems to depend who is cooking, sometimes quite nice, othertimes overcooked and greasy.

I normally get Uber eats to deliver from the Tasty Plaice, however on this occasion there was parking outside. Glad I stopped, friendly staff and very helpful. The foods good too. Recommended. Thank you.

Hi I have been ordering fish and chips for my mum most Fridays. She has complained a couple of times that the fish has been overcooked. Maybe it’s been fried too long as the batter is very dark in color. Just wanted to let you know so you can keep an eye on that and I can keep mum happy. I’ve ordered here myself many times and I love your grub😁

Amazing gluten free menu! It’s so difficult to find a chippy that does gluten free. The food tasted amazing and the service was fantastic. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately has gone down hill, firstly the haddock was just mush & not flakey. It was covered in oil and would seep out when you cut it. Suggest you train your chefs on how fish should be cooked, I had to throw it out after a few bites. In addition the floor was very sticky to the point you couldn't move without your feet sticking to the floor.

Our go to chippy always friendly happy staff and always good food. Well done

Disappointing. Dry, tough chips and soggy battered fish. Asked for salt and vinegar but they didn’t bother. Didn’t find that out until I got home.

The sausage and spam fritter was over cooked or probably from dinner time and also the cod bites were tough chips were nice.

Always had a fish and chips from here, but recently it’s not been great and now I’ve found a hair actually in a chip.

I waited for about 70mins before calling the shop. I was then told that they had no Just Eat drivers on tonight and that I should cancel the order and make it a collection instead. This is not acceptable how can it let me order a delivery when there is no intention

Ordered our food on deliveroo tonight, I ordered 2 kebabs and a chicken burger. I ordered salad to go with it we had probably 3 strands of lettuce on each item which was moldy, put me off so threw my chicken burger away, the chicken on the kebab was raw!! Didn't get a refund either!! I'm reporting to food standards with evidence absolutely disgusting!!!

Chips were cold. The curry sauce is cold, spam for it was undercooked same as the cod roll just running in oil. Very very disappointed plus the driver got lost

Food was stone cold unfortunately. Driver seemed to be driving around for 10 minutes right by my location.

Everything is good from here, and they do Gluten Free food on Sunday's. The staff are really nice, and obviously enjoy working with each other.

Delivered 20 mins after ordering. Food was hot and tasty. Would recommend that people give this chippy a try

Shocking poor service!! I order this for my 90 year old father. No tracking info was provided and when I called restaurant phone was hung up or staff couldn't communicate with me. V v poor service
