Absolutely spot on can't say a bad word excellent service

Went a couple of days ago and just tried the chips which were pretty good (enjoyed by my friends) so went again today and this time tried Chips + Cod Pieces + Masala Fish. Again everything went down very well with myself and my friends enjoying the fish in particular. Also really enjoyed the chilli sauce I asked for. I will certainly look to patronise Kamz Plaice again.

Just passing by this fish and chip shop, I was amazed at how low the prices were compared to where I live. Food was great, I had lamb Doner the whole experience was a surprise, they used state of the art equipment to cut the doner, really friendly and spotless, partly because it’s looks like a new business overall top marks

Great food and great customer service freindly staff. The food is flavourable and filling ive had the mixed kebab and the lofte was cooked to perfection n the donner was filling n succulant. The salad is amazing to with the sauces

This is exactly what Walsall needs! Some REAL TURKISH Lamb Donner, authentic turkish style Chilli sauce like no other and decent grilled skewers. The side salad is lovely and almost a meal in itself, I usually keep it for lunchtime the next day 🤠🤠🤠. The only caveat is this type of Donner only tastes best whilst fresh, and at the current prices of the kebab (£8.50 & £9.50) it's 🤯🤯🤯 I feel it's overpriced on the whole and unless the kebab is turning over quick the quality does suffer a lot. A family of 4 could go and eat in at a half decent restaurant for about the same. The fish and chips are by far the best locally. Light crispy batter on the fish, perfectly cooked chips and a lovely staff team. Again a bit pricey for local but decent size portion which, as a one off now and then, won't break the bank. In short, good quality food, on the pricey side as a weekly regular but probably worth it as an "occasional treat" Potential to be a top takeaway if the prices were more in line with the locality. 5 stars from me are based purely on the food we received on our visit As for service, the regular team is good except when the big guy with a beard is there, he really doesn't have a clue how to time and expedite the food. Packing fish and chips before the rest of the order is done? It was nearly 20 minutes before the kebabs etc were ready to be packed by which time the fish and chips sat in the cardboard box were not very edible. The guys are obviously new to this industry so plenty of teething problems, hopefully they will improve with time.

Really nice donner kebabs and lamb skewers and staff are very kind and funny. Nice range of salad and sauces that are unique.

Very good and fresh homemade food

Used these first time the weekend via uber. We had 3 large cod and chips and 2 kebab boxes with chips and salad. This has got to be the best fish and chip bar in walsall without question. The fish was like what you get at the seaside tasted nothing like I've ever had before in walsall. Lovely thick white fish perfect amount of batter chips were amazing no grease in the box at all. The kebab boxes were nothing like any chip shop I've known serve. The kebab meat tasted like it's made with high quality meat and the salad it came with was the best salad I've ever had with a kebab it's so different to what every other chip shop does. The sauces on the kebabs were all home made not your regular sauce out the bottle smothering your meal. If you want to try what real fish and chips and kebab meat from a chippy should taste like and how it should be served then give these a try. I will never use any other chip shop again these guys have set the bar high on how this cuisine should be. Keep up the good work.

I got recommended to try this place out from my brother and I have to admit, they did not disappoint! In my opinion, probably the best fish and chips in Walsall - fish tasted like what you get on the beach - fresh, crispy and good ratio from batter to fish. The donner meat is as authentic as you can get - proper lamb which was juicy and full of flavour. It may be a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for… QUALITY!

It aint london...its walsall...lower the prices...food aint all that

Absolutely loved this place. I love a good salad and I've never actually been to any chippy that does coleslaw. It was so creamy. All the salad options were lovely. I had the donner meat and chips, had to have all the salads and chili and mayo. The chips were nice, crispy on the outside soft in the middle and best of all no dreaded oil or greece. Donner was different to what I normally have. I liked it, a nice change. All the sauces were different they appear to be made in house. I really liked the inhouse chili sauce they have. It was the opening so all the food was half price and looks like they are going to have a pretty good food menu, can't wait for the gluten free menu. I think you can join up to the loyalty program by joining up to be a member on the website.

Good customer service food was provided quickly with good selection of drinks. Chips perfectly cooked not overly salted. Fish tasted amazing perfectly cooked and at a great opening price £1.. I tried the salad too next level for fish and chips shop. Would totally recommend. 😋

Placed an order on just eat for a large breakfast at 10.30am, constantly ringing the restaurant as it was late, seems to be a communication barrier, as no one can speak proper English, order came at 2pm, not one thing on this breakfast was eatable, don't bother ordering from here, just go to the shop and get what u want, seriously 🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕

Food was sloppy staff didn't want to know plus they forgot half of the order never go there again

Ordered fish n chips and curry sauce and it was disgusting!!! Fish looked about a year old. Chips were green. And the curry sauce was so thick I couldn’t get it out the container. £15 for 2 large fish n chips and they won’t refund or hold any responsibility. Do not order here please. It’s very bad!!!

I placed an order at 13.10 today via deliveroo, and never received my order. The number on the app was a mobile, and the guy told me to phone the store. It rang for ages, but after that it was constantly engaged. I am pre-diabetic and needed to eat before going to work. Was really looking forward to the breakfast. By 14.40 still no food, so I complained via live chat on Deliveroo. Never had any issues with any other deliveries from other places. Just these! If you cannot deliver, why take the orders? Or at least phone me to let me know there's an issue!

40 min wait for pizza and a small chips. Told would be 2 mins 5 times.

The food was absolutely terrible, waited 25 minutes for a mini fish and chips which I don't mind if the food is good, however the food came out and it was so greasy it was almost unedible, on top of this the fish was a dark brown colour as the oil clearly had not been changed. When I threw the food in the bin and told the owner he didn't even acknowledge what I said and not even an apology let alone a refund. Overall the worst fish and chips I've ever eaten

Used to be the best battered chips and great food..not anymore!! Will not be eating from here ever again! We've never known "fast food" this slow. Stood in the tannery waiting for almost an hour for food (it wasn't busy only one other customer) we only asked for a couple fish and chips and a couple extra bag of chips...the curry sauce was disgusting and stodgy, the fish smelt like it was off and the food gave us stomach aches!! Avoid!! Will make you ill!!

Took 2 hours to get here missing black pudding I paid extra for, Walm bread instead of toast, thinly sliced cold tomatoes and won't answer the phone. Don't buy from here

Closed down in September by the council for Rats and poor hygiene(Google it). Which explains why my last visit here made me ill. Had a kebab that tasted like it had been there for 3 months festering. Chips were burnt too. Go somewhere that can keep up with their cleaning requirements.

ask for a DONER KEBAB they gave me doner meat in a tray with salad & sauce no pitta bread but other than that food was nice

I ordered food on Deliveroo from these guys I ordered chicken curry £5.99 and instead they sent me 2 tubs of curry sauce I called them but they never answered phone. WOULDN'T EVEN GIVE THEM 1 STAR APPAULING SERVICE DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE GUYS.

Don’t deserve 1 star, but no option to choose 0! Ripped me of at the tune of almost £18 for 2 kebabs! Both had more chilli sauce on them than meat! Chips cold and solid! Curry sauce could of been used to hand wallpaper up!! Will never order again!

Very poor food at the cost of £8.99 there was more chilli sauce on my kebab than actual kebab meat. Naan was soggy n cold curry sauce was more like a curry jelly the two three chips that I received in the portion where cold and soggy won’t be eating here again

Randomly I was visit this shop and order a large portion of chips and a large curry . The taste of chips especially Battered chip is to much yummy and the one of the famous thing about this shop it can cooked the food fresh. The staff is also cooperative and friendly. My first experience for this shop is to much good and I refer to everyone must visit the shop and taste the food.

Never ever had a bad meal until tonight. Chips was hard ordered 2 beef rolls no beef just full of onions and cold vile. Gravy was also in a the meals ordered and it was one lump or a pot full. Sorry but been put off using you again.

It does not take 45 mins to cook food fish like rubber pie was cold curry sauce freezing and like snot chips extra chewy was not impressed would not recommend Give ya head wobble and sort yourself out Diabolical

Waited 2 hours and it was cold the eggs weren’t cooked won’t use again

Waited over 3 hours for food, then went to restaurant and they could only say its on the way tried phoning multiple times just hung up straight away. Shocking

I know they have had some recent issues but think they have a new staff he absolutely amazing speaks proper English and is a very talented cook had food there couple days ago he was so good my wife was so pleased that this time she did not get looked at 20 times over decent guy good food no issues very pleased

Have had a few problems with wrong orders when ordering by phone. An latest one was the 16inch Margherita we ordered was spicy. An when we complained about this, were accused of being liars an threatened to be blocked from ordering from here again

Let's just say you've lost 4 customers.. Sorry lol Donner meat was covered with greece. And The lettuce tomato and cucumbers was like mushy water dripping infact and the chips were rock hard and again so greecey. Why do you guy's love putting way to much greece on literally near enough everything. 🤮

Delicious food , order Tannery Special breakfast for the guest and they just love it , also ordered the 2 tannery special pizzas it was properly cooked freshly made . Definitely Recommend .

Worst chippy ever, I’m currently writing this review on the toilet as I’ve got food poisoning the kebab meat is rank the chips are rank everything about this chip shop is a joke people who run it should be sent down, I can’t even get of the toilet for longer than 5 minutes I’ve lost about 5 stone today, hope the place gets shut down scutty place

This place is a bit hit and miss, sometimes the food is great but sometimes not so great and their mushy peas tend to suck, wouldn't go at all if the Ramsay Fish Barr hadn't shutdown.

I placed a order over the phone, for the whole family. My donner kebab arrived on nan bread, with nothing hardly on it, apart from a few peaces of donner meat. I then asked for a replacement and had to wait for nearly 30 minutes for delivery (considering I live 5 minutes away), which resulted in me missing my evening meal with my family. When the second order arrived, it was worst then the first one, with chunks of donner meat, that look liked the off cuttings or last strands that are left on the edge of the kebab stand. This was frustrating and annoying, considering I waited nearly over a hour for my meal. Won’t be ordering again from here.

If I could have given no stars I would have. Chips were hard and lukewarm at best, mixed wrap came without the salad and no sauce, also the wrap was like cardboard and the roe was rock hard. We threw it all away and ended up having beans in toast.

Didnt ask if i wanted salt or vinegar. Food made me feel ill.

I wanted to put no stars. Waited a long time for my order. My roe was dry and hard, my sons southern fried chicken was raw blood on plate (refer to photo). I was offered for this to be replaced but refused.

Popped in a week ago and had the Doner meat and chips... All good! The Doner meat was very tasty and the battered chips were great! Went again the other night and had the large cod and chips. The fish was cooked fresh for me and only took a few minutes. Really impressed with the cod! It was nice and big, perfectly cooked, with a nice crispy batter. Chips were absolutely on point again! Staff were really nice and friendly and the prices are very reasonable indeed! Great place.

Food was freshly prepared, my husband and son who had the food said the pizza was the best they had ever had. If the food hygiene rating was higher I would have given 5 stars.

Awful food, awful service. We spent £26 on food for 5 of us, both normal chips and battered chips. When they turned up they were far from cooked, they were rock hard & a fork could not be pushed into them. When we called them to complain, they refused to believe us and refused a refund, offering us just one bag of chips. They then offered to send a driver to collect our food to prove it was awful, they failed to do so. A couple of years ago it was a great chipshop but it’s gone down hill massively since. We will not be going back.

First time I have ordered on uber eats from here. Absolutely terrible. Don't even deserve 1 star. I paid extra for some mushy peas and was not given any and the food was so dry and overcooked. Best battered chips by far in Walsall. Menu competitively priced and there's some good lunchtime deals to be had. Portion sizes are good, I struggle to finish off a cone of chips never mind a normal bag of chips. Fish is nice and decent batter on it. Not tried the kebabs or pizzas but freshly made to order. Remember closed on Sunday's and Monday

Waooooooooooooooooooooooo Today I purchased a 16'pizza from this place , I was very pleased with my order as the order was very delicious with fresh vegetables and toppings with perfect flavours.

Slight confusion on my order, but that was probably how I worded it; had to wait a while for the fish to fry, but it was worth the wait! Service was excellent and attentive, food was delicious, portion size was just right. I only popped in because there was a queue in the rain at my usual chippy, but I'll definitely be returning.

Really good food especially the fish. The guys a re really nice and you can call ahead. I don't know anyone who has a bad word to say about this place. Definitely recommend

Really really poor food and service experience. Walk in order, was told 5 min wait which was no problem. In the end it was 15mins, other walking got their order before me and I wasn't waiting on anything being freshly cooked etc. The servers where prioritising delivery "just eat" type orders ahead of us. The order was prepared incorrectly and I twice had to correct the server and remind him of additional ingredients missed. Got our order home, no salt and vinegar used. My husband's large mixed kebab meat, salad and chips was lacking in the sauces ordered. My mixed meat in a pitta was the other extreme - soaked and soggy in excessive sauce to the point that the pitta fell apart. It was inedable. All in all very disappointing.

I had great experience from this fish and chips shop. I've ordered kabab with naan bread, pizza and one fish with naan must say every thing was bang on. Staff was really helpful and very fast service. Best thing about this shop is its not just takeaway but you can also sit and eat.

On my visit to UK, I visited here with my family. Loved the fish and chips and their pizza. So perfectly cooked. Great service, friendly staff, prices were on point.Highly recommended

Service was atrocious! The young guys serving completely ignored me & kept me waiting while they waited for something to be cooked! I only wanted chips so they could have easily served me whilst they were waiting! Granted it was a few years ago now & I haven't been back since & nothing will induce me to go back either!
