I have been having Lamb Karahi from loads of restaurants all over the Uk for the past 10 years, this is the best now. Just had an Indian Tawa yesterday after a long time, I got to say best ever. The lamb karahi was very rich in taste. I didn’t like it few years ago when I first tried it, but thought I try it again. I have been going Dera in Caldmore for the best karahi but when I tried them I think they have improved and beat them. The only problem is there is too much bones on the meat maybe I will ask for boneless next time and have this again but the taste was tantalising so will be back again. So I will give this a 5 start and call it the best Karahi in UK now.

Visited yestrday with family. Food was delicious and good size and variety on thawa. Great service and pleasant atmosphere.

Bland food absolutely mediocre. You expect a decent meal by so called celebrity chef! And the portion size for the curry In the Tawa are very less. They try to be smart by adding lots of fries and nan.

Great place to eat, with food being served on a large tava (pan) which is deceptively bigger than you think. Was plenty of food for all.

went with family for iftar when food was served all starters were cold an other table sent there's back as was cold when complained to waiter after paying so they don't think wanted discount only 3 tables in answer from waiter was its iftar time with about total 15 people what an excuse (pre ordered food aswell)

We visited as a family a booking of 13 guests (mixture of children and adults) We ordered a grill and an indo Chinese tawa both tasty and the children ate a variation of burgers or kids meals. Everyone was able to pick something from the tawas to enjoy and the portions were very generous! The staff were attentive, food was good and we had a good time as a family. They have a prayer area upstairs which was very handy however upstairs smells of heavy smoke and also the carpets need a clean upstairs (it was empty and appeared to be used as storage space anyway to be fair) The toilets were clean, however, no soap in the dispensers.

Meat curry just bones and hardly any to actually eat apart from the sauce, the special curry had 1 King prawn, 2 pieces of lamb and 2 chicken. The curries leaked in the bag, the sauce from the biryani went everywhere. Just a disappointing meal. Not worth the price at all.

First time ordering from here Food came on time which was good but I didn’t receive the chicken karahi bone on , no popadom, I ordered a grill dewa received wrong item which was deshi style dawa had to give it to my next door we couldn’t eat it because we’re not fan of rice or dry dish. the kids like grill food that’s why I ordered it. But will re order order again

Very dark dining room, the furniture has seen better days. Ordered 1 Turkish thall. Food tasted ok. Nothing to shout about. The chicken wings was raw. Told the manager and he said mmmm. Paid and left. Never going back.

I love the vibes in here! The food was so well cooked and the flavors were so delicious. We ordered the Tawa which was an amazing portion of food for our group. Service and food was top tier.

Attended a wedding in the banquet hall. I found it a filthy place with a lot of maintenance issues. Cobwebs were visible in many places, the carpet was very dirty, the toilet floor was very dirty with thick layers of dirty, and wall panels were broken in many places. Provided heating system was very unsafe and had no warning signs.

The food was piping hot, and very authentic. Very polite stuff and reasonable price. Very cosy atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Decided to visit Lal Haveli as we had seen they offer an Indo-Chinese Tawa which not many people do. We were a bit hesitant about going in, as when we arrived the restaurant looked rather empty, however we decided to give it a try regardless. The food was decent; some dishes were quite nice and flavourful, like the noodles, Manchurian chicken, but some items were not that great. The prawns had an odd texture and the ‘lamb’ chops, were quite chewy, and I’m assuming they were mutton due to their size. The manager was nice and welcoming, and also adhered to our requests with altering items without any issues! Overall, a decent Tawa place to try out in Walsall. Not the busiest place, hence lack of a good dining out atmosphere, but the food was decent.

Lovely food and atmosphere. The service was good too. We ordered a desi tawa for 4 and some extra dishes. Food came out quickly, and the staff were very attentive. It wasn't busy at all, only 2 or 3 tables there at the time. I shall definitely be visiting again.

We booked the restaurant in the afternoon for my daughter’s first birthday party i was really disappointed by the service that was provided to my guest there was no drinks provided as my guest we’re patiently waiting as well as kids were thirsty and manager gave me excuse that its their policy that they serve drinks when food’s been served because more glasses will be wasted 😫 when the starters were served it was really cold when i told the main chef whose name is abul instead of checking up on these matter he choose to ignore it completely i am really unhappy by the service that was provided to me and my guest

Food was great but was let down as I ordered a bottle of coke and it wasn’t delivered, was told by the just eat rider to call the restaurant and was told by the restaurant to call just eat, then the restaurant said that the rider will drop off a bottle of coke. Never happened. First time of using the restaurant and sadly service let them down.

Great night out with the family and kids .become a regular place now for my birthday.food was on point as usual fresh hott and sizzling., we ordered the mix grill tawa .and boi we ate all food and just left the tawa for the waiters, great place and atmosphere wasn't to busy as we went on a Monday evening but the ambient setting was just perfect, staff were very friendly and new faces ..would deffo go back with family and freinds .

Visited this place 3 time now in all for my dad's birthday..Well actually because I LOVE the food here really , 😋 the grill style tawa Is our favorite cost around £77 feeding upto 6 people mixture of all the starter once could ask for .The staff were very kind and attentive .would recommend to others would also advice that they should flavour the peri chicken more and grill extra on the grill .but in all was lovely eating at this place ..

I remember going there once and booking a buffet for an event. The food was really cold and bland, and when asking for a refill, the trays came half full. Very disappointed with the service.

Best tawa in town absolutely delicious

Went with family to have a nice meal back in June. Ordered lamb chops which was the size of an iPad. The meat on the chops was really hard and on the menu it was lamb chops. Chicken tikka pieces was so big and had loads of colour on them. Told the guy on the till who just done nothing no apology or refund for lamb chops. Would definitely not go here again. Premises needed a good clean. Please improve your business.

Visited with family of 5 based on a recommendation from a friend. The food portion was not sufficient for the price paid £82. Ordered the Turkish Tawa , being a regular to turkey over 20 years I had high expectations, unfortunately even basic expectation was not met. The Adana Shish was very fatty and tasteless , the chicken was exactly the same. The rice was over cooked and tasteless, and it only got worse with the rest. The chops were tasty and the sauces. The restaurant was far from hygienic, with the floor sticky , the menus covered with curry stains, the toilets were absolutely filthy with mould over the taps and toilets clearly not cleaned or maintained. No hand wash was available , I had to ask for this which was rather disgusting. This was the only and last visit to this place. I would not be returning, and to make matters worse i suffered a very upset stomach. So all in all a colossal waste of time and money.

I ordered tawa for 2, the fish pakora and chips looked as if they were cooked in old engine oil. The shish and shami kebabs (size of a 50p coin) were cold and very dry, the curry was a spoonful portion, the chicken was hard to chew. One roti given for a tawa for 2. The coke was warm seem to come from a heater than a refrigerator. The toilets were in a filthy condition, I nearly tripped on a step (no warning sign).

The food is great but the service was really poor. Food is really slow coming out, missed orders, wrong dishes. The place is run by incompetent staff - awful service! I would have given it a 0 star for service if it had one!

I had attended with my husband and my two children, I was greeted by the waiter where he approached us with a very friendly attitude. I had ordered a desi 2 ppl and 2 kid meals, the desi tawa was quite nice while being quite cheap. Would definitely recommend!!!

Very good quality food & service

It's not fair that the Waiter's have to deal with so many complaints. Manager needs to step up and stop hiding! Food came after almost 2 hours and even then, a lot of my family members still never got their food and kids were upset. Drinks were not given to us?! The food all came out really hot and fresh but was lacking salt which gave it a bland taste

The food came 1 hour after we ordered that wasn’t a problem but the food wasn’t hot enough considering how long we waited and mango mock tails was just rubicon mango with slice off lemon and bit off mint I ordered a coffee that wasn’t hot enough as well and really average I will not be going again and differently not worth the £253.17!!

Attended the restaurant during Ramadan. Food too long although I ore ordered, there was a full restaurant with two waiters! Hmmm.... 🙄 Food... Well it was hot, presentation very good. I ordered the turkish tawa. Different flavours that isn't turkish food. I geuss it had it's own little twists and turns. The starters well that's where I can confidently say it was ready made hummus, and the same applies for the cazik. And you definitely don't have a turkish chef because the standard was cooked by an Asian chef (bengali) Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed it, I'm not going to talk about the timings because it's ramadan and of it comes out late this runs across the board. We ordered a burger for the kids absolutely banging really good and fresh. I'll be back again and looking to trying out the whole menu 👍🏻

This place cannot handle a large booking. We waited 90 mins for our food. It was a horrible experience. The manager avoided to handle our complaint.

Do not recommend this place to any one waste of money Service was really really bad. When requested to speak with owner he made me wait and then waiters said his busy. So they are ok to take your money but will not speak to you. Very disappointing. They say the chef has won awards, doesn’t look like it to me.

I went there once with my family. We ordered mix grill tawa and had to wait one hour because they forgot about our order. Many people came and served, not us. Then on complaining, they apologised and served after 10 minutes. Well Food tasted good.

Honestly speaking this place is a MUST VISIT GEM! Coming from the City of Birmingham to Walsall for food! Ironic right? Hence why I highly recommend this place. Thank you again for the great service, great food and amazing atmosphere! 5 stars from me!

Wasn't the beat experience..their was only one member of staff seeing to everyone. The food was overpriced and not very nice. We didn't receive some of the stuff ordered. The starters were served on plates and went cold so quickly and had such a strong tangy taste it took over the rest of the flavours The lamb karai was not a karai was more of a normal curry lots of sauce and didn't taste like lamb. The drinks were served in glasses and went flat within the first few minutes. Wouldn't go again

Food when I went had plater was great then I took big group was not all that so it's not consistent in producing the flavours. But interior is nice good staff and services.

We chose lal haveli for my husband's birthday dinner. We ordered desi tawa for 4 people. Food was good. Lamb karahi and chicken jalfarazi was yummy. Not happy with seekh kebabs and chapli kebabs. Other was all good. Lovely decor and calm atmosphere. Service is little slow. But overall all good. Must visit and try there desi tawa

Chicken Karahi had gravy and not many pieces of chicken meat. Flavour was average too. Turkish Tawa - dry kebabs, rice lacked flavour, wouldn’t recommend. Chinese Tawa - good spices, prawns non existing. Chicken lollypop was dry and burnt.

Food and service has gone down the pan, food is terrible I suspect I have food poisoning feel so sick, used to be ok but these days they are giving stale food and don’t really care anymore about customers won’t be using again- even the karahi dishes have more bones and sauce in them than actual meat better places to spend your money and eat avoid at all costs

Went out for a family meal to celebrate dad's 40th . Staff were welcoming and friendly , food was top notch loved the mix grill tatwa had a variety of chicken meat lamb wing allsorts of statter specials . .which came to total of £75fed upto 6 people and still had food left-over to take home ..kids loved the mocktail drinks..would recommend to other to go and try this place out .

Visited La Haveli for a family meal. Though the food took a while to come out; the food was really tasty. We tried the indo-Chinese fusion, the grill and Turkish platters. Really flavoursome. The restaurant itself is cosy and they had space for those that wished to pray.

Mix grill platter for 2 is very nice for 2 poeple and it's priced reasonable and it's worth every penny. The food overall tasted nice . I would defo go again

I had a great experience. Booked a table and gave them special instructions as it was a birthday dinner .food was amazing and staff was so good .I was so surprised when I see the bill. Its quite affordable and wonderful customer services .they have veg food too just in case u are veggie .I can totally recommend this place .

Went here for my birthday, was sceptical at first but was pleasantly surprised. The food was quite good and cooked really well, I especially liked the lamb pilao! My family really enjoyed it and they are hard to please!

Been there on couple occasions. Food is ok, waiters are nice. Just cannot hear your own mind because all the kids screaming around. Last time we ate a platter for 2 and have horrible non stop diarrhoea and vomiting for 2 days. Not halal at all will never visit again.

Worst experince ever not once but twice tawa food was dry and steak was over cooked burnt level asked to be replaced took way to long end up walking out and never going here again. Was so angry asked for the bill which also didnt come so walkee straight to the counter and spoke a few words paid n walked out never again.

Worst place to eat guys please save your money and time

Food and service both were really poor. I've now tried this place twice and been disappointed with food quality on both occasions. I like the concept but everything onto their tawa platter tastes the same no matter if you go Chinese Turkish or Desi. Just because you add tomato ketchup or sesame seeds to somethingz itndiesnt become chinese food (just saying) The soft drinks arrived without ice and luke warm. The bread basket we ordered was also not great with hummus neither looking like hummus or tasting like it. This was our last time, won't be going again!!

Just been for a meal with my family. Ordered a Turkish Tawa for 4 people, it did not look anything like the picture on their website. The food was good, minus the chickens on the bone, all chickens on the bone were under cooked and had blood on them. After paying the bill I did tell the waiter and he said "I will look at it". Paid the bill left them a tip not going back as it was my 1st time too.

Absolutely amazing experience for Iftari. Best service by far. This place definitely has organisation skills and team work. Fantastic job Lal Haveli Team. Keep up the good work.

Went to order a take away took over 40 mins then when I took It home and I opened the worst tandoori Tikka masala I’ve ever!!!!!! it was watery and flavourless with random pieces of chicken even had skin in it. I’ve had many a tikka masala with nice sauce and chicken breast with the tandoor flavour . If it wasn’t for the fact i brought it late and waited for so long I would have took it back. A waste of time and money . I won’t be going back and I urge to anyone reading check your order before you leave !!!

I would have gave 5 stars. I went with friends and ordered the taka for 4, although the food was good it came with a tin foil inside. I reported to the restaurant but they did not offer any apologies or any kind of recourse. I would recommend customer service training and advice customers to stay away

I visited yesterday for iftari with my family of 4 people. We all had the desi tawa and were not impressed. i don't want to write a little booklet on the items and how disgusting it was, but just to say we didn't enjoy any of it. The curries were watery and very very bland. The 2 small pieces of sheek bebabs were burnt, the fish pakora was soggy, the chicken tikka was tough.... you get what i mean. After i paid the bill I did complain to the waiter - to give the "award winning primary chef" our feedback. He smiled and gave the impression he's heard it all before. Just to say we wont be rushing back any time soon.

Had to wait for food despite ordering on the phone 2 hours prior. It was Ramadan, and the dining area doubled up for prayer (there should have been some privacy). Food was disappointing - soggy, bland, and cold (yet inoffensive). Atmosphere upstairs was abysmal - looked undecorated and had almost no table service the whole night. Tawa was half price, but won't be going back - Sultans (more so) and Dera (less so) are better alternatives.

Ordered the Desi Tava for 4 people during the Ramadan offer, this is definitely not for 4 people. Lucky it was 50% off otherwise this isn't worth £46.99, was sat upstairs in a dingy broken down restaurant even though downstairs is well decorated. Not a nice atmosphere, forgot to take a picture of upstairs. The food itself was nice enough, Sheesh kebab were not nice and fish pakora was poor quality fish and really saltly. Waiter service was good, Shame about environment upstairs, horrible.

Food was great we had a party of 30 people so ordered 5x Grill Tava that serve 6 people each, we booked in advance so had to pay a deposit, the food was more than enough, the drinks come separately priced, which was a bit too much, service was great, however allot of food was left over, so they made us pack it, (due to covid we had to pack it ourselves). Saleem the manager was attentive, ample free parking, and clean toilets. *Update* Jan 16 2022, tried the Turkish Tava really nice however for spice lovers not spicy enough, we did request more green chillies which we got straight away, was even offered Naga chilli sauce which was spot on, the servers and manager were very approachable the atmosphere/ambiance very nice, any food left over was packed by the staff and handed to us this time, can't wait to go again, please try the Tava grill one of the best in town👌

Very disappointed I went from Birmingham for iftari here. I phoned in the day book the table & ordered my food so we would get it on time for iftari waited half an hour after iftari for them to bring our food the kids burgers were cold fries were cold & burnt the tawa food was cold the service was so bad I would recommend people not to go here to waste ur money & time! Very disappointed.
