Awful if I could give 0 stars I would 31 pound in the bin the curry sauce was like sludge chips were rank chicken in the curry was rubbery I could have throwed it up the wall and it would have bounced back to me this used to be amazing food from here but won't be going back again after tonight utter rubbish

Food was delivered quickly and bonus it arrived hot and was best chinese ive had will be ordering again loved the fortune cookies too

Few days old warmed up here, Zero flavour to over 5 diff dishes.... Having a laugh

Nice food, very quickly prepared! Decent portions, too - I usually have enough left over for the following day! Been back a few times recently and the food's as good as ever! Nice to have a place like this nearby, where you know the taste and quality of the food is always consistently good. Been in today - the food's as good as ever! Walked in, ordered my food, and less than 10 minutes I was walking home with my tea! Staff friendly as ever and the food still consistently great! Highly recommended! 10/10 Just been back again tonight after a long day at work.. Food is just as good as it's ever been! Portion size is great, and no complaints about the quality of the food either. No wonder they've always got food deliveries being collected! Very popular place with consistently good food. Highly recommended.

I ordered my food about 30 mins ago and ant turn up yet and I phone them be 10 mins

Just have food hot and spicy ribs no meat on it .small as my little finger full of fat won't feed it my animals

The quality has improved ten fold int he last year or so. After Ken left, it really went downhill, The food now is really quite good. I usually have a special Chow Mein or Special Curry and both have a good amount of meat in them. The large spring rolls are good soo, very filling. I live close by so always collect. It's nice to have a good take away in the area again. May 2023. Food still good.

First time ordering from this place and I've got to say it's the worst Chinese we have ever had lemon chicken is just hard chicken batter like it was yesterdays meat hardly any sauce and don't even taste like lemon chicken , duck curry had no taste and was full of skin . . . The lot went in the bin waste of 20 quid wouldn't recommend will order from else wer in future

Good food , tasty, last delivery took over an hour and the food wasn't as hot as usually but I think the driver made a delivery (or 2( before he brought our food nevertheless I use these regularly

It was a late night takeout for quickness. Food was hot didn't take long to cook. Gravy wasn't the best was lumpy. And the lady wasn't very pleasant but might have been a hard tiring shift who knows!

The Mayflower was always the local go to takeaway when I was younger, and continued with it when I moved out of my parents. It is true that it did go downhill a little after Ken left but the past couple of years it's been fabulous and more recently its been faultless. We've never had an issue with delivery, drivers are always lovely, orders always correct, hot and tasty. There's some nice vegetarian options, the salt and pepper tofu is my absolute favourite and the best compared to others in the area. Would be nice for a few more veggie options, but if it isn't broke don't fix it I guess.

We found hair in our food and the rice wasn’t fried, there was a wrong item and refusing to give money back, unbelievable

Have been looking for a good chinese for a while. Mayflower deliver really tastey food, good portions and it is always hot. Drivers are pleasant and I have been really happy so far.

Row and smelly chicken. The rice so salty, unable to eat. When I called The restaurant, they called me liar and they put phone down on me. I have reported them to Food Standards Agency. So, disgusting and antiprofessional actitud. I am just wondering how is the whole food hygiene!!!

Don’t buy from here the rice portions are tiny and the food has no taste.... I had Singapore chow mien from here is was tasteless had no spice at all and the rice I had as a extra portion was just enough for one priced at £2.10.... I should have drove down to another Chinese in bloxwich which would have been worth it

Used to be our favourite, but steadily getting worse. Frequently get the order wrong. This time the Chinese woman on the phone who barely understands English sent the Chow mein with Bamboo shoots and water chestnuts which my dad hates, instead of the Full House special chow mein. Couldn't understand the concept of the order being wrong, tried to tell her which one we asked for and she constantly repeated the order back to us wrong. We asked for her to send out the correct item so we could swap with the driver and she said: "Maybe later". We asked if there was someone with better English and she said she would call us back but never did. Fuming and starving. Might as well give up. Like talking to a brick wall. I understand that its a Chinese Takeaway ran by Chinese people but at least put someone who can understand this countries language on the phone to take orders.

After my last review about the mayflowet they really have turned this around. I always have a bang bang all in one as they call it and upon my last 5-6 visits for takeaway it's always delicious. The guy behind the counter is always very pleasant and sometime you see the cooks/chefs and they are always pleasant too. One of my favourite takeaways in walsall.

Staff are great Delivery is very quick. But after ordering a mixed starter tonight for my children, i was disgusted by the portion . One bbq rib, 2 mini spring rolls with hardly any filling, one chicken wing one chicken skewer and one prawn toast all of which were over done and its £5.50. Shame really as the last time we ordered it was lovely. Will not be ordering again.

After a disastrous time in Wetherspoons my sister and I thought why not just go home and order a takeaway. OMG best decision ever. Very polite person taking the order. Was told 30-45 mins. It actually arrived after 20 mins. All food fresh and hot. Delicious will definitely recommend to all family and friends. Thank you

Used to be a firm favourite for over 15 years, won't be using again. Forgot part of the order then tried to charge me for the delivery of the forgotten element. Quality of food has definitely declined. Not happy, no further custom from me.

Ordered one of my favourite dishes which is called bang bang all in one, as this Chinese used to be one of my favourites places for takeaway. I thought I'd go back as since it had new owners the last time I used them the food tasted different. Yet again the food tasted different and even came in a different container. The dish is spare ribs, wings and chicken pieces mixed with spices and onions. Now it tastes like it just tiny pork bits and the chicken with no flavour or seasoning even the onions tasted bland. Sorry but not good

Been eating from here for a very long time, only Chinese I will eat from. I was a bit concerned when I heard it had changed owners but the chow mein and curry still tastes just as nice as it always has.

If you want to get food poisen then order, since ken has gone the food is disgusting it comes cold and pre heated from the day before says a lot when there own driver won't touch the food me and my partner have both been I'll since eating Friday night we rang and didn't even get a sorry it was I'll speak to the chef ! So I don't reccomend this place atall ,rats have Also been seen out the back of the premises

We have used this Chinese takeaway for years and I believe they have just changed hands, Ken who used to own it was a fantastic cook and owner but the food now isn't very good at all. I always have bang bang all in one but you can tell it's different and the chefs trying to make it but not with any joy. It isn't just me but my wife and 2 children also have noticed the change in taste of food and even they complained. Until Ken comes back ( hopefully) I won't be returning.

I ordered the same kind of food, but it was a vomit for the pigs, I do not order them anymore, I'm disappointed.

My significant other is a bit of a regular with Mayflower so when I visited we decided to give it a go. I decided to go with a simple meal, triple delight type entree (C10 or C12 cant remember which it was) with egg fried rice and we picked up fried won tons to split. This was a very good meal, not really spicy which was slightly disappointing, with well made fried rice and lots of fresh vegetables. Delivered quickly and did not require any reheating at all as it was quite hot on arrival! Enough food in one entree for two meals, so there can be left overs if one person is eating. This is not exactly the place for those that are looking for a more authentic Chinese meal but is very good for a simple budget Chinese like meal. Will be ordering from them again as this was quite nice for a quick meal

Been coming here with my family for as long as I can remember, Food is always delicious and full of flavor without fail. My favorite is the 138 Curry sauce, Noodles and Chips (sometime with rice) and Bang Bang Chilli Chips as an extra. My dad swears by their Full House Special Chow Mein and Meat packer, which is big enough for him and Mom to split between them and still both have a full meal. Best local prawn crackers, all the others taste oily. My only complaint is that a few times when we have ordered over the phone they have missed parts of the order and one of the family has gone without a meal while the rest eat. When tis a major part of the order we call back and get them to redelivery, if its something like sauce we leave it (even though we paid) because its not worth the extra waiting. Usually fast alright time, within 30-45 mins (to WS3).

My starter never arrived, I got rice instead of chips and I cant eat rice and on top of that there was a horrible long black hair oh it doesn't stop there my main meal was also wrong I ordered a chicken curry with no mushrooms as I have an allergy to mushrooms so what arrived a pork curry with mushrooms. I called to explain the order was wrong and and he had the cheek to argue with me and then call me a liar. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, THE WORST TAKEAWAY EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!

Steer clear of this place, bland food which was delivered cold, the duck was terrible and the pankakes were stuck together so we couldn't eat them. Chow mein was like a cheap microwave meal....crispy beef !!! More like soggy flavourless beef. Phoned up to complain and was told there was nothing anyone could do , this sort of thing happens and don't you have a microwave ?!! Omg.....Don't you have a microwave ??! Total and utter waste of a hour an 15 minute wait for tasteless cold rubbish. Stay away if you have any sense.

We have eaten here many times over the years, as a couple, with family, with friends and with work mates. I usually enjoy coming here but very slowly their standards have slipped and now there are much better buffet places about. I doubt i will go again which is a shame as i really enjoyed this place a few years back.

i loved the mayflower but it shut down xxx epessaly the pork and the sweetcorn soup xx lol :) :)
