The Ruby Express in Walsall

Have used for many years now. Food is always fantastic!!

I have been using the Ruby for a long time and have NEVER had cause for complaint. The food is always really nice, hot and tasty with good sized portions. Delivery is brilliant and on one occasion they went the extra mile, so to speak, to deliver despite roads being closed. There may be some negative reviews but..... try it for yourself. You won't regret it. Too many people are too quick to leave a bad review based on a bad experience but the same people never review a good experience. At the end of the day, everyone has an off day and it's no reason to leave a review saying that you "will never use them again" Grow up!!!!!! Use this takeaway and help the small business. They are well worth calling if you want a night in with a great meal

The three of us ordered a takeaway delivery from here on Friday night and were very impressed. The food arrived on time, was hot and was very tasty. We really enjoyed it and will order from here again, thank you!

Hi we had a Singapore fired rice well it was awful no flavour no spicy The prawns had A funny smell the pork meat was just fat and rice I think was microwave will not go there ever again

I will not use another takeaway. The service here and the food are fantastic. Been using Ruby Express for a long time. Don't judge by the occasional bad feedback...... no where is perfect, judge by the good feedback, do yourself a favour and get yourself a meal that you will enjoy. The food is no longer of a high standard very old tasting and the cantonese chicken tasted very chewy and a couple off days old; the egg fried rice had a strange smell...

This is the 1st time we try Cantonese food and it’s worth the wait. The noodles are so special that my parents order 1 more, fried chicken wings are must try here... And I love the way the owner and his staff take care of customers. Will come back next time.

I ordered duck from here to night and it tasted vile when I normally have Chinese i normally have duck but this was the first time trying The Ruby Express and I won't be using it again

Ideal if you're on a diet, not complaining about the the quality of the food, just the quantity. Curry comes in the small containers usually used for rice, but, only half full. All of the competitors around Aldridge have at least two to three times more curry per portion.

Fantastic food friendly staff/owners

Just had our food for Valentine’s Day and I can honestly say that was the worst food I have ever tried!!! All dishes were inedible crispy chicken was rock solid, curry was disgusting and packed full of grease. Even when I know I don’t really like the food I’ll still eat it but this is the first time I have not eaten as it was that awful. Me and my girlfriend will never be eating from there again. After phoning to complain and even offering to drop the uneaten dishes back off for a refund, we were still denied our money back and eventually only granted a £10 voucher if we were to order in the future. However we will not be ordering from this restaurant again!!

Do not use this place, ordered a beef & mushroom curry we only got half a portion which tasted sweet & awful, also ordered a large main meal curry sauce which came in a tiny tiny pot as a dip! The rices were dry awful and the singapore chiew mein was revolting with no taste its very disappointing as this was our first order we will never use again, take my advice & steer well clear of this place

The absolute best takeaway and delivery service around! Hot, fresh and soooooo good. I can honestly say that I've never had better from anywhere in the world, than the amazing service and food we received tonight. Thank you so much for a truly beautiful meal. A*****

Awful Took ages Expensive - 20 quids for a Chinese Small portions Ordered sticky beef - came with just batter, no beef in the batter ... had a meal of plain crispy flour Had to pay for prawn crackers - 2 quid Delivery took over an hour Would never go back ever again

Great food. Service is always pleasant. However, PLEASE PLEASE stop buying The Sun newspaper. It is a hateful, vile, nasty, racist publication. Please stop having it on the counter. Buy a different paper. But, please, stop buying The Sun

A wonderful takeaway but, please, stop buying The Sun. Nobody should be propping up that right-wing, hate-filled propaganda rag in 2020. Please please change to another newspaper. Or better still save some cash for yourselves and cancel completely.

Tried the Mongolian chicken, fruity but not spicey, lovely.

I always like to support local business but... The food is usually of a very good standard, but for the premium prices they charge, the portions are really poor. The chow mein comes in what everyone else calls a side dish portion. My daughter had a soup, it was in one of those small sauce pots yet was the same price as at competitors. There are so many competitors, I would use them a lot more if they sorted out the portion size.

Waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for delivery, had to ring again to find out why the delay, have not waited that long before, I was a bit disappointed with the service.

It fulfils the requirements of a Chinese takeaway. It provides Chinese food, to take away. It's not a 5 Michelin star restaurant, it's a Chinese takeaway people. Chinese food. To take away.

Fantastic meals with consistently wonderful staff. I always look forward to eating at 'The Ruby Express' and would recommend their food to everyone.

The foods always been ok, not bad but not great. The main con of this take-away is although its opening times are displayed on the door, its never clear when they are open. Often they will be advertised as being open but when you walk round, they are shut, this is a frequent occurrence not a one off either.

Recently enjoyed a delicious takeaway meal from this restaurant and it is always a pleasure to speak to such warm and friendly staff.

Decent food, Brillant service always.

Really disappointed with the fillet steak with ginger and spring onions. It was cheap chewy steak. When I contacted them they said it was fillet steak and would tell chief. Didnt offer to replace the meal. Have been a customer for many years will not be returning

Always use the Ruby Express as it's well cooked standard Chinese food will pleasant staff. You know what you are getting and they are consistent and accommodating if you need to change to something not on the menu. Some places do better ribs, chow mien etc but the Ruby Express do everything to a good standard.

Always get nice food here a good choice as well Telephone orders are good and staff are helpful when asked

Had the chicken fried rice. Not nice at all. Nothing like other Chinese take aways, rice was very under cooked. It went in the bin 😞 other take always nearby that are better 😬

Have used the Ruby Express a number of times and have always found the food very good. Tonight was no exception, food was prepared quickly while we waited, and was superb.

great food delicious and fresh. I will definitely go back again and strongly recommend a Chinese takeaway from here. they do use simple dishes ranging from Chinese to thai dishes as well.

At the end of a busy day, a quick Chinese takeaway was just the ticket.Fast, fresh and friendly, the Ruby Express is a fantastic takeaway.Chicken & Sweetcorn Soup, Beef & Blackbean, Chicken Fried Rice. Lovely.

Having tried many, all over the country, I've concluded that a Ruby Express cannot be bettered. I've used this takeaway for more than 20 years, and I've never once had anything other than fantastic food.Our most recent takeaway included Fillet Steak with Wine Chilli, Chicken Fried Rice, Bang Bang Chicken, and Chicken Satay. They were all excellent.The service is always fast & friendly. Highly recommended!

It was the first time we used this takeaway, other takeaway's around us seems to lose their magi, so we tried the Ruby Express, Super fast delivery, food was piping hot, we were surprised that it tasted so much better than the other takeaway's we have been using.
