Have been going here as a kid since it opened in the 80s. Well done for the great transformation of the restaurant. The food is amazing and the service is perfect. Melksham needs restaurants like this, that feel like something you would experience in a city; as opposed to just kebab shops.

We had a meal here on Friday evening and it was absolutely delicious. Everything was perfect; the food, the presentation, the decor and the staff….Can’t wait to visit again.

Best restaurant/takeaway in town. Ordered a takeaway and food was delivered within an hour. Food was cooked to perfection and hot. Not your standard takeaway food. More like restaurant standard food delivered to your door.

Went here on New Year’s Eve for a meal with family. Found the food very nice and authentic and a real good team Work there. Feels a real family vibe. One of the top restaurants around.

Excellent ,we enjoy are meals glad they kept the same chefs after refurbishment .

Had takeout from here. The food is delicious 😋- onion bhajis are off the hook and a must order! King prawns are left whole! And plenty of chicken! Will be adding to the regular rotation! Haven't eaten in yet so can't rate the atmosphere.

Just back from a delicious meal at the updated and reopened Melksham Tandoori. It’s our second visit and each time meal and service first class. It was very busy but made no difference to the service. Well done to all of you.

Highly recommend the tandoori the menu is amazing so much choice . The food is out of this world amazing . The service outstanding there was 7 of us . The food came out all together and when we needed a drink the service was so very good . The staff our so friendly and welcoming and helpful with the information on the dishes . Very poor takeaway curry. Dry chicken, grainy. Maybe the worst curry I've ever eaten. I've done better at home!

Take out, great to have the Tandoori open again. Nice pint of kingfisher whilst waiting . Food was excellent. Can’t wait to be back to use the fantastic looking new restaurant .

We went to the The tandoori on Saturday evening for a friend's birthday and the whole experience was fantastic!!!! The service was friendly and very quick when ordering drinks. The food itself was super tasty and nice and fresh, I couldn't fault it. It's great to see it back open after the refurb and can't wait to visit again soon.

We must have placed the first take-away order as soon as the doors were opened on 17th November post re-furbishment - They are back with the wow factor for sit down customers and the food we collected was simply fabulous! Welcome back Melksham Tandoori - our number 1 go to take-away and restaurant - can't wait for our next curry night! 11/10 for food & service.

Amazing evening with outstanding food and service! I organised a meal for 36 people to celebrate my husband's birthday and it all went smoothly and lots of people commented on how great the food was! I recommend trying the Dalcha lamb!

Absolutely delicious take away, I had chicken Rajasthani, and it was perfectly spiced for me, the naan was perfect, and absolutely loads of food, I couldn't eat it all, freezing the rest for another day 🤓.

Chicken korma was delicious as sauce was nice and chicken was tender. Also the one who served me was very nice and helpful.

Collection was fast and food hot but we ordered two passanda’s which didn’t taste like passanda’s at all. The curry’s were also quite salty and oily and the onion bhajis weren’t the best I’ve had

This review is really only based on the food and the collection as we had a takeaway. Collection was bad as they just leave it out unattended and have to help your self so had to check but someone could take others food as well and non the wiser. Food well that's poor as unfortunately made us very ILL last night so have spent the night unwell being SICK, clearly NOT cooked properly. I would NOT recommend this place and certainly NOT going to be returning.

Ordered for me and my partners anniversary and we're incredibly disappointed. Naan breads were flat, unraised and tasteless, madras and sag paneer lacked flavour too. Overall dissapointing. Put an absolute downer on the whole evening

Absolutely awful meal took an hour and half to arrive, the food was cold and tasteless and naan bread was overcooked and stale! Dreadful would certainly not recommend. Thoroughly disappointing complete waste of money.

The food took hour and 15 minutes to arrive, despite my calling they didn't pick up the phone. When even eventually it arrived the food was cold and tasteless AND the naan bread was stale!! Totally unacceptable, extremely dissatisfied. Will not be ordering again and nor will my friends and family. 😞

Delivery was about an hour and half late. Once we got it, the naan bread was STALE. Stale as if it was cooked a few days ago as well as the chicken. You could tell it was microwaved and they gave us the left overs. Awful.

Normally receive nice food from Melksham Tandoori however tonight my curry was cold, flavourless and soo watery I could drink it. Hopefully it's just a bad day at the office

Bone in lamb passanda. They also forgot one of the dishes we ordered and when we went to pick it up it took 30 minutes for them to sort out.

This is one of the best Indian restaurants in the area. Love and recommend the chef specials. Can't wait to eat in house again but meantime take away is great.

The food was cold when we got it. It wasn't good at all

Regularly visit with either friends or family and the restaurant although in a traditional building is modern and comfortable inside and the service good with helpful staff. The menu which has recently undergone an update has all the old favourites but some new and adventurous suggestions.

I went for a charity event. The staff coped well with a full house and donated the event for free, meaning the cost of the tickets could all go to the charity. This would have cost the restaurant around £500

Although tables seemed small for 4 people the portions were large enough and the quality of the food was excellent. Good atmosphere with very pleasant attentive staff. Would recommend.

Very disappointing meal here last night..first two courses were faultless and a " banquet" meal was ordered for main event ( being a birthday party) but all we had were two chicken dishes in a sauce..not a variety of meat dishes eh lamb or beef..a real shame as it's always been excellent here when we've been before!

A really good example of the more traditional Indian restaurant. It has one or two surprises in its menu of excellent food. The decor is simple and the staff are helpful and friendly

Lovely place to go for a meal, also fast deliveries. Only place I get Indian from. Prices are reasonable , portions are massive. And the staff are very warm and welcoming. Highly recommended

An impromptu stop, led to the discovery of an excellent little resturaunt. There seemed to be a lot of locals in there, a good enough sign for us to stop ans try.

I visited as part of a group doing a quiz night. They managed to squeeze us all in and were efficient serving the food. Everything was very tasty. I would try it again on a less busy night.

Delicious food ranging from the familiar to the specialist, it caters to most degrees of tame and adventurous. The staff are always exceptionally warm and friendly. The one detracting point is that the food often has slightly too much ghee or oil for my palate, but beneath that the flavours are balanced and vibrant! The venue isn't exceptional but is nonetheless comfortable and much cosier than local competitors (of which there are several!). It appears to be kid friendly.

Just ordered from them as their food is usually nice, however it turned out to be the worst Indian I've ever had. Runny ,with very dried out chicken ....not even what I ordered very disappointed

Always excellent food, backed up by courteous and efficient staff. I have no hesitation in recommending the Melksham Tandoori.

Its the best Indian restaurant I have ever eaten in and every time I come back its always perfect. I have been eating here since I was a teenager and it has always been the best. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Prices are very reasonable and the chef has been the same for over 30 years.

"Great Indian Food" Went for takeaway and decided to try the melksham tandoori after having heard a lot of positive news about it. Ordering was simple enough and prices seemed reasonable to me. Food was very good and the tikka masala was still hot when it got home. The rice could have been warmer but the peshwari naan made up for it because it was outstanding!!! All in all very good and very enjoyable.

Really nice curry here, although the nan bread leaves a lot to be desired.

Hadn't been here in years but always used to come as a child with the family. So was apt for a family gathering. Loved it. The food was gorgeous. The staff were brilliant and some I recognized worked there all those years ago. 😍
