The TVH has the traditional style pub atmosphere without trying. The food is excellent and service spot on.

The food is home cooked I've been here a few times now and the food is always hot and fresh and very affordable The staff are very friendly and the food is just absolutely beautiful

Brilliant food and staff all homemade great price. I found somewhere that can cook fish and chips and steak just as you like it/ well done we will certainly be back. this is a pub as they used to be no fancy decor or loud music .

Great homemade pub grub, reasonable prices, it's a pity the pub decor etc is a bit off-putting, but sit down and enjoy the food.

We stopped at the pub for a post ride catch up after a bid day out on the motorbikes , secure parking and a lovely outside area , have eaten there a couple of times and can't fault the food and it's great value.

We both had a roast beef dinner. It was ok, nothing special but not bad. We'd go again to eat but would try something different

First time I've eaten here and it won't be the last. Food was amazing, 7 adults and 6 kids all satisfied.

Went for Sunday lunch the food was amazing and really reasonably priced and the portion sizes were great, 3 courses for £15.The staff and service was excellent really fast will definitely be going again.Woukd highly recommend.

Me and my Fiancé went there on a Sunday and had the three course meal, for £15, this is to be snapped up as the food was top notch, friendly clientele in quiet surroundings, the starter, main especially the beef was top quality and topped by lavish desserts, will recommend to friends….

Love this pub, small and friendly, they have a log fire which adds to the old worldy decor.

I've recently moved to the area and this pub has become my local. We regularly come here with family and friends(and the dog) and its such a relaxed atmosphere. The food is home cooked and amazing! Prices are good too! Just had tea tonight and we have booked to go here on boxing day too.x

Had a lovely lunch today we ordered the special on the board .It was great we all enjoyed it. we had mini fish, sausage chips mushy peas curry sauce and 2 potato scallops. nice and hot and plenty of it. The bar staff were nice friendly and helpful.

Wouldn’t normally leave a review on pub food locally, but I believe it’s customary to check once a meal is served, to check if all is ok? This place obviously didn’t get that memo. Went for Sunday lunch, we were not expecting much, but an edible roast dinner. Carrots and mash ice cold, asked for more to be brought out, but told we haven’t enough, but we can warm yours up. (No apology) Being as they were now on our plates with gravy, thought better of the offer. After food almost finished, more were brought out, (still no apology) but to our astonishment, only the carrots were hot. But still no check to see if food was ok???? We gracefully paid and left. My wife messaged to give some feed back. But then to be called a liar and told we were trying it on and their food wasn’t cold!! Funny as we had just paid in full and left. No manners, called a liar, cold food, no apology. Very bad attitude. Eat here at your peril Locals need to know, to avoid this place or anyone else for that matter !!

Food is fantastic value for money. Always a guest beer on. They do great events and quizzes. Lovely little family run pub.

On my first time trying tame valley the food was amazing however when going today 3 meals out off 4 was stone cold so I took them back to get 2 meals hot and the 3rd meal cold 2 times after the first time what is going on tame valley really not happy with the food or service I received today and I wouldn’t even mind I went when it had just opened no excuse for cold food

I can sum up tonight's experience by saying, you get what you pay for. If you want a rough and ready, loud pub experience, then this will be for you. Food is cheap and cheerful, not bad for the price, but that's all that can be said for it

A nice, traditional local pub that does tasty food at reasonable prices. Large beer garden to the rear, off road parking, pool table and darts.

I went here for a meal. Parking limited for all people. Entrance for all people. Chose a table and got menu s from the bar.staff friendly. The food was quick and very good. The hotel serves food for most of the afternoon. Prices highly competitive.

Favourite place to eat. The specials are amazing always look forward to the specials being posted the night before. They sell everything from toasties and sandwiches to full meals. Food delivered in a timely fashion and very tasty. A small friendly pub with friendly staff. I should give it a 1 star so that there is always space when we go but unfortunately i have to give it the stars it deserves. And it definitely deserves them.

Yuk !!!! This is the 2nd time in a 2 week span and i wrote the toilets were filthy 😳 hoping they were read noooo so now a week later they are not any better but another weeks dirt how they are getting away with it im amazed I will report them to the necessary authorities what also worries me what are the food areas like !!!!!!!!im disgusted

I've been to the pub now a few times around lunch time while I find the food of reasonable eatabity depending on what you order and i have eaten and had take away I found tge facilities I e the toilets filthy! They for me have not been cleaned for some time I don't really understand that no one elses reviews haven't commented as a suggestion I would get this rectified ASAP to keep your cliente coming

Tried the 3 courses for 12 pounds, starter was nothing to rave about but the hot beef roast muffin and roasties was lovely to finish off with a generous helping of cheesecake.

Good food and reasonable price beer

Came on Sunday for the 1st time, heard a few good reviews so thought we'd give it a try. Ample choice on the menu including 4 different meats for roast dinner. The staggered price for 1/2 or 3 course was quite unbelievable. The quality was good, nice hot food and portions were not skimpy at all. Staff were pleasant and good service, will definitely go back soon.

Was a bit chilly and it's not advisable to microwave crumble as it no longer resembles a crumble, but turkey dinner was nice and a replacement Christmas pudding was good but again over did it with the microwave 🌋

Visited for the first time on Tuesday with my son whilst in the area for a few days. Wasn't sure what to expect but had seen good reviews on social media. Very impressed with the extensive menu, prices and cosiness of the pub. Our food was served quickly, piping hot and the portion size was good. Will definitely be back. How have I never been before ?

Was very disappointed with the Sunday Lunch, all veg was cold, the beef was tough, the festive burger served on cheap bap would have been better if it was toasted and chips were cold. We had to sit with coats on because the place was freezing and the staff was miserable from getting served at the bar to table. Complained but no one seem to be interested. My sister highly recommend this place for the food during the week, but she was really disappointed with the Sunday lunch.

We had one festive burger 🍔 with cold chips and the bap could have done with being toasted. Told a member of staff but was not interested. Would not recommend.

Very disappointing beef Sunday dinner, beef very fatty and not edible, mash was like microwave mash and roast potatoes rock hard. Will not be returning, what a waste of money.

It was so nice to enjoy a couple of pints in this classic little pub. Lots of places to eat inside and a nice beer garden out back. Very clean and very polite staff. Cracking pint of Mallinsons btw. It has changed inside since I was last here,20ish years ago but definitely for the better.

Visited for the first time, very impressed with the food menu, good old fashioned hearty pub grub and plenty to choose from, I went for a steak and onion baguette and chips and was very tasty and for just £6.50 you can't argue wirh that. Not a massive range of beers but the German draught beer was very nice and not one I've had anywhere else which was nice to have something different. Would highly recommend and will defo be going 🔙

We went to the Tame Valley hotel after my Mothers funeral today, we booked food fir after the funeral and wasn’t disappointed, we wasn’t even asked for a deposit which I find not only unusual these days but very trusting from the Tame Valley Hotels point of view, the drinks were very reasonable and can only say thankyou to all the staff involved, if you want top notch then “don’t go” but if you want decent food and friendly staff at reasonable prices then I would highly recommend them thankyou once again

Was very disappointed that the last Steak pie had sold out just before I ordered, however had my second choice the mixed grill, all of a sudden I was not that upset anymore. Eleven of us ate and everyone commented how nice their meal was. Will be calling again soon.

Nice local pub, the staff are friendly enough, the food was nice but my salmon was frozen not fresh, l would rather pay a bit more for fresh. The outside area is fairly big and secure so good if children are with you. Would go again.

Amazing lamb Sunday dinner! Plenty of meat and really tasty! Superb price - will definitely visit again. Only issue was size of the jam roll poly - it was only a small portion and was so nice I wanted more!

This is a really good local pub. The outdoor seating area is excellent. They have a couple of real ales at a great price. They sell a good selection of really good value, good quality food. They have a low cost special that changes daily, which is great for lunch if you’re in the area.

Never visited here before but always heard good things and can thoroughly agree the food is great. Quite a varied menu and was spoilt for choice, staff were great all through our visit. We had a rump steak, chicken kebab and hunters chicken and all were delicious. This is definitely going to be a new favourite.

Grumpy, rude bar staff. I got ignored and other people served around me as I stood there. Money in hand asking for dark fruit cider. Then got a mouth full of abuse as I shoved my money away and turned to leave. Quality service ( not) just sad don't think I will be going back there next whit Friday marches ( at least not spending any of my money there) ...
