Had an enjoyable first time in this pub, cannot comment on the food but the beer and prices were ok

It's funny how all of the reviews are old. Probably because the current management have decimated the amount of customers that they had

Great prices but very flat before the Barrow game. Don't know what's going on as its usually rammed before Barrow games.

Friendly bar staff, good for footy ground. Can park for football just buy a drink.

Pretty flat, few locals in but otherwise I was very quiet, staff are fine and the prices are reasonable. They did have music on and they clearly do have entertainment at times.

Don't do food, the craic is good. If ya haven't got a sense of humour, don't bother.

Been a few times recently and have to say current staff and management are friendly and fab! 2 pool tables, darts and 7 tvs showing premium sports plus a great range of drinks! Lots of fun to be had, karaoke nights, weekly raffle competitions… oh and loads of seating inside and outside. Lots of fun to be had by all.

Great place friendly staff Around good atmosphere . There's a jukebox. Plenty of seating and a pool table. Not a bad bar to be honest. My late daughter's wake was held there .

My dad went in 1972 while the Type 42 destroyer for the Argentine Navy was being built at the Vickers shipyard. He ate orange duck with a slice of bread accompanied by a pint of Guiness. Great memory of the place!

Great pub. Loads of space inside and out. Locals always make you feel welcome. Friendly atmosphere. There is usually live music on at the weekend with local talent playing. The drinks here are really reasonably priced.

Wasn't drinking booze at the time but offered me soda water for free! Also met Billy who organises the local celtic supporters group. Very nice chap along with his friends.

We called in after the Barrow football game. Unfortunately the two bar staff cope with the sudden increase.

Great time in Talley very enjoyable on Barrow AFC home games and staff and landlords arre really good I am warming to the spot.

Typical boozer near the ground. Nice and friendly, no hand pumps for the Real Ale boys but only 5 mins to Barrow FC.

Good old proper boozer. All booze is good and cheap, plenty of deals. Perfect before a Barrow match. Plenty of seats outside if weather is good. Get yourselves in and have a decent crack.

Have just spent a couple of hours at the Tally Ho and I've got to say it was a really pleasant experience nice friendly staff, good beer and lovely clean toilets areas. It has a beer garden with plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Will definitely visit again.

You are always made to feel welcome. Prices at the bar are great value for money, and the pool tables are popular. Wall mounted screens allow customers to follow sport, in the lounge, or the bar, both rooms are comfortable. The lounge is a great space to consider for a private function. Karaoke evenings are supported with enthusiasm by the locals, and we have had some brilliant evenings when music groups, or individual artists have been brought in to entertain us. Wednesday evenings the pub plays host to Drink And Draw, a community art group, and a quiz evening has just been introduced that will follow on at 8.oopm. The Tally Ho has been part of the local community for many years. Call in and share your story.

NEW OWNERSHIP Just been taken over about 2 weeks ago. Pints were £2, must be a special offer... but there was karaoke on and was a good atmosphere. Apparently going to be all about cheap beer and sports... Will be good for summer. Only thing is... kids have to leave by 4-5pm so the barmaid told me when we asked about why the kids play area had been ripped out, it's no longer a child friendly pub.

Haven't been there in a while so I was surprised how quite it was When it first reopened they were serving food which I must say was lovely. The roast was one of the best and good value for money. Now several new managers later no food and not a lot of customers.

Looks nice from the outside but unfortunately the clientele let it down, lots of what appear to be drug users and alcoholics

My friends and I wanted something to eat on good Friday evening this was nearest our accommodation. Apparently even though the sign outside said food was available this was not the case. A bleak uninviting pub apparently under new management. I am afraid it will need to try harder if the new management is going to make a success of this place !

The pub has been recently refurbished to a good standard, the food is excellent and good value for money.

Try the Duke box on the wall and have a drink top class

The Tally Ho has recently been very tastefully renovated, and the Sunday Carvery is back once again after many many months absence. Congratulations are due to the new chef, each and every carvery item was perfectly cooked and well presented. There were two meats and three veg to choose from; vegetarian options were also available, but only if pre-booked. Both the beef and the pork joints were beautifully cooked, and proved to be extremely tender and very tasty - I tried both. My wife tends to lean towards a vegetarian meal, but when she saw the well-done crispy outer surface of the beef joint her eyes lit up, and the carver was only too pleased to put some on her plate, saying that because most diners preferred the centre pieces they were normally put to one side. There is an outdoor decking area for the warmer weather, and a capacious indoor area to stage live music . Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for the staff, and I have no hesitation in fully recommending this dining experience in pleasant surroundings.

Very good menu choice, serving lite snacks, toasties, starters, mains & desserts. Visited as a couple, hubby had Cumberland ring with mash, peas, onion gravy & an egg on top! A pint John Smiths. I had Hunters chicken served with steak cut chips (think they were home made) small side salad & coleslaw, drink was blackcurrant & soda both meals were tasty & adequate. Service was with a smile & the bill was just over £18. At the moment the outside decking area is being re-done so should be complete by the time the next heatwave arrives.
