The Swan Inn in Wychavon

It was our first time there but everything was superb. We didn't have the carvery but our food was really good, we were very happy.

A lovely pub with plenty of car parking available. Very popular venue serving a great carvery with a very good selection of meats and vegetables. They have a normal menu available with a good selection also for all tastes. Will certainly be coming back again in the near future.

Really nice place for a Sunday carvery, mine was for a special occasion with all the family which made it more special, the staff were very attentive to all our needs.

Booked a table of 14 and arrived on time. Told the table wasn't ready and we would have to wait. After a wait there was no movement on our booked table so we had to put our own tables together and move chairs etc. Staff ignored the issue.

First time to go there and the food was spot on. Family had a carvery and they like it, i on the other hand ordered grilled gammon and it was properly grilled.

walked into the swan for afternoon meal, only to be told meals have finished for lunch and no afternoon service untill 18.00hrs barstaff and waitress not very helpful .

Four of us arrived for our 5.30 booked table at 5.25. We were ignored at the till for 5 minutes, until one of the staff grudgingly acknowledged us. We were shown to our table and informed that there was a 45 minute delay when ordering from the menu. We said Ok, and ordered food and drinks. We then waited until 6.55, without being approached by anyone so we decided to leave. The staff suddenly came alive and told us that our food was coming next. I thought that after waiting and being ignored for almost 1 1/2 hours, we would be better off going elsewhere. If you're the owner reading this, I feel sorry for you. I cant comment on the food of course, but the service was lousy.

Went for a carvery with 2 cousins for a catch up. It was packed to capacity only one space left on large car park several large parties gathered for their Christmas lunch but staff were not fazed one bit, the service was very good,the staff were very pleasant cheerful and friendly and the chef worked his way quickly and professionally through the extremely long queue of customers. The food was hot and plentiful and well cooked. Very enjoyable experience

I went with two other friends we had a goody table near to the carvery which I had requested and the meal was excellent..the beef was so tender..will definitely be going again ....

Met family for a Sunday carvery and there was 30 odd of us which wasn't a problem when booked in advance. All ready for us when we arrived. Carvery was great and now rates in my top 5 anywhere in the country. I was so impressed with the place that we went back (only 4) of us as we were in area. Carvery ws great again and we will be back again. Staff were friendly and courteous and polite. Easy to see why its busy and people keep coming back for the food.

Always a good place to eat. Great service and a wonderful selection and choice of dishes. The carvery is especially sumptuous. Plus they now have mashed potato on the menu😋

We popped in tonight for dinner. We didn’t have a reservation but were lucky enough to get the last available table at the time. The food was lovely - two carvery dinners and a burger. The service was exceptional though, our waitress was friendly, funny and prompt - what more can you ask for!

Great place for a carvery! We are regular customers because of the food but the staff are also great. Autumn and Liv are always super friendly, chatty and a good laugh too. They both always interact with my son as well, which he loves . Thanks for making our experience enjoyable girls.

Not sure who vets there staff here but absolute terrible staff who decided them selves who is allowed in and who’s not. I took my friend in to watch the football and because he didn’t drink he wasn’t allowed in. Complete joke and a terrible atmosphere they’ve created. I wouldn’t go in the even if I was an alcoholic.

Be careful when booking online, there are 5 Swans in Bromsgrove and we booked the wrong one for Sunday carvery (a common mistake). The understanding staff made room for us in the bar and we ate. The carvery is very good with a large selection of veg that isn't over cooked. You get a tray for your plate, so your gravy doesn't end up everywhere. The ales are kept well. Not our 1st and not our last visit.

Absolutely amazing food and great pub, staff are amazing and polite would definitely be back again, only thing I could fault was the fact the dog friendly aspect is bar only and no where on their website or google said it was only the bar, if they could amend that because if we weren’t able to be reseated in the bar we’d probably have had to leave. The website states all aspect of the pub cater for 2-4 legged friends

Amazing food for my 30th birthday! Everyone really enjoyed the carvery and everyone who has mains including myself were shocked how quick the food came out, as well as the generous portions! A few on our table had starters which were absolutely lovely! The service was second to none, I couldn’t have asked for better service. Thank you so much to all the staff at the Swan for making a very special occasion that little bit more special! Would definitely recommend this amazing establishment to anyone, thank you all again!

Sat in the bar for a carvery with family and the dogs. The staff were friendly. The carvery here is delicious. Everything always tastes fresh and home made. The meat is cooked perfectly and the cauliflower cheese is amazing. Thanks, we will return again.

Very acceptable Mother's Day carvery, 2 courses £19.95. Extremely popular, place was heaving and that was at 5.30pm. We were a party of 9 and were well looked after by very hard working staff. Would recommend on any day, tbh.

My first experience and review was based on a quiet lunch time meal for two and was rated five stars. The last two visits for evening meals for six adults have been appalling. The first our table for six o'clock would not be ready until at least 6:30 as the previous guests had left the table to visit the outside bar and for their children to play! We ate in the bar area despite there being other table laid and set up for the next day! The choice was limited and the carvery was cold. We were also reminded that service to the bar stopped at seven despite waiting til 6:35 for our meal to be served so I guess a sweet was out of the question. Tonight our final attempt to enjoy a meal here was a disaster. Our booking was for four o'clock to avoid the busy evening. Arrived promptly and shown to our table and curtly reminded that we could stay for up to two hours as there were other bookings. Again not everything on the menu was available, and we waited over 10minutes for a drink order and about 40 minutes for the main course and carvery which was served by staff that appeared cross or ill tempered and bothered by tiresome customers. It seems that in summer the temptation to increase profits outweighs the care for customers. Plenty of staff but none seemed to have any energy or will to serve table. Get the bookings in shove out some average food and listen to the till roll ring. No way to serve the community that supports the establishment throughout the quieter months.

Went to the swan for a birthday meal and had to wait 40 minutes for our meals to be served with no apologies from staff or reason for the long wait time. While waiting for our food a couple on the table next to us were waiting for their bill and had asked a waitress for it twice they were met with a very rude server telling them that it was because the kitchen was busy (server with the red hair was awful and should honestly not be working in this industry if she can't fix her grumpy face, we felt like an inconvenience to her) when we finally got our food and carvery we were given a very char grilled (burnt) stake and the beef from the carvery left me with more fat and unchewable meat than actual beef, not to mention the onion that was sat in oil and the gravy that was salty enough to kill a slug. This is the second time we have tried the swan and once again we're left disappointed and will definitely not be making the same mistake of going there for dinner again we would have been better driving the extra 10 minutes up the road for a McDonald's.

Sunday Carvery - I could not be more impressed! Every member of staff was smiling, warm, helpful and so attentive to my GF needs. The chef/carver clearly cared about allergies/intolerances and even offered to use a new/clean knife to carve my meat. The food was soooooo tasty and the range of vegetables was huge....just wow! Wow! Wow!

First time visit, staff found a table for us very quickly, plenty of space, decor very nice, carvery excellent, and the price very good. Pleased we found this place.

We were a party of 9 celebrating a birthday today. All enjoyed a carvery then were told we had 10 minutes to leave the table! We hadn't had desserts or coffee. I appreciate the fact other people book for a later time, but I really think a large party should be given more table time. This spoilt our meal and time together.

The food was really nice, however the service was awful. We had to wait so long for our drinks to arrive we had to go and get them ourselves. The staff are so busy chatting with each other than serving the customers.

Lovely place to have a carvery staff are very friendly and there’s a wonderful atmosphere calm. The food is brilliant and the carvery was still warm which is great as some aren’t.

We usually like the Swan. But today went with the family table of 8 and very disappointed. The carvery was barely warm. The meat to the veg was not like it is usually. I had to leave alot of mine. Sorry. We have just tryed this place again but never again. Waitress looked like she didn't want to be there. Almost all 3 meals was left. She never asked if all was OK. Or did we want diserts. Just a load of miserable staff. The problem is they are all young staff. Could be good with better training. No welcome at all. Never again. You need to pull your socks up

Lovely place. This was the first time I'd been, we had a birthday celebration with a fairly large group of 20 of us. We had a mix of carvery and off the menu. Both were delicious. The menu food came out promptly so they weren't waiting whilst the carvery people were sorted. The staff were brilliant and kept checking for drinks. And everything was so well organised to clear away and get puddings out. Would absolutely recommend having a meal here

We arrived at 1pm for a carvery lunch. I had a slice of ham and one of turkey. Both perfectly cooked and of generous proportions. The self serve vegetables were, in part ,disappointing. The hordes of pensioners who had arrived earlier had plundered the offerings like a flock of vultures muscling in on a lion kill on the Serengeti. Three sad looking carrot slices stared miserably up at me, I apologised to them for not selecting them, the remains of the cauliflower cheese encrusted the rim of the near empty bowl like a deserted coral atoll in the Pacific and the dauphinoise potatoes were reduced to a homogeneous mush in the bottom of the pot. That said, the dining experience was actually OK, the staff were pleasant and helpful and I will come again.

There’s a reason why this restaurant is booked out constantly. What a fantastic visit. Great hospitality and wonderful food. My mum had booked the wrong Swan and on a Sunday they had no tables available (not surprising may I add) Our waitress, Meg F did everything she could and completely went out her way to ensure we could dine in their establishment. A massive thank you to her, as it was our mess up not theirs. We will definitely return and will ensure we book the correct Swan next time!

Only 10 minutes of the M5, Very pleasant country pub. Food is excellent, recommend the carvery. It was fairly busy when I called even at midweek ,but they can cater for passing trade, however i would advise booking. Staff are extremely pleasant. I will be calling again when in the area.

We went for a family meal at 5.30 on a busy Sunday evening and even our 7 yr old grand daughter remarked how quickly we were served! Carvery as usual was excellent though veggies could be a bit hotter- please! Gf choices were no problem at all.

Very busy establishment, obviously very popular. Advise to book to avoid disappointment. Carvery is excellent with a good choice of meats & vegetables. All prepared and cooked to a high standard. Good friendly service. All in all a good experience, would definitely recommend.

Went with my daughter for a Mother’s Day thing rude woman as we went in put in bar no other choice golf cup tv and overloud music awful carvery dry beef and turkey and mushy Veg no salt on table went to get some woman said as I went to get some I’ll bring some through in a really rude way won’t be going again

Very popular location, food was typical carvery fare, and plenty of choice. Only 1 pass of the vegetables allowed, which encourages you to pile up your plate. Slick operation and no empty tables at 2.30pm on a Sunday.

The only place to go for a carvery, as far as I'm concerned! The food is good, the service is friendly and efficient and Denise, the manager, has made this establishment worth visiting. Would highly recommend.
