The Swan at Ullesthorpe in Harborough

My three companions enjoyed an excellent breakfast. Unfortunately I am surprised that my shakshuka was allowed to leave the kitchen. It had obviously been kept warm under a source of heat for far too long. Forget the egg yolk mixing with the tomato sauce as the yolk was rock hard. Forget the slightly creamy white as it had turned to rubber. Hopefully this was a mistake and not typical of the cooking.

Myself and work colleagues found the Swan while working away for the week, First impression was it looks expensive..... we were welcomed into the pub by the staff and soon felt at home The food is great, massive portions and value for money, we ate at the Swan every night and have already said we will be back there when we are working in the area again in November Overall I would recommend this pub to anyone in the area

We called in on our way back from the Cotswolds and managed to get a table early evening last Saturday. The food was delicious (steak was excellent), staff were friendly and efficient. A lovely pub, clean and nicely furnished. We will definitely go back, well worth a visit and so pleased we found it by chance!

Had a lovely evening at the Swan and the food was delicious. Waitresses were really pleasant . However it was very busy and service was a little slow. But we've already booked to return in a couple of weeks. A must for food lovers!!

We have been to the swan a few times during our visit to a friend in the area . We loved the food & atmosphere & were very impressed by our waiter Anthony , nothing was to much trouble .. Thankyou

Excellent food, from pie night Monday, Italian Wednesday (their Garlic Bread is superb), and Sunday Lunch is to satisfy anyone, simply a delight. Nice touch was cauliflower/broccoli cheese served in an enamel dish, made with proper cheese! It's our go-to place for superb pub grub!

Called in for a late night tipple, friendly staff and other visitors too. The glasses were sparkling too, which makes a rum on the rocks a delight!

What a lovely find. Sunday lunch, at its best. Yorkshire puds huge, soft and fluffy. I had the beef, p had the pork belly. Really good. Highly recommend.

Fantastic Sunday lunch provided by Head Chef Paddy and his team.....we will be coming back again soon!

Had a lovely meal with 3 friends. Very quiet that evening so atmosphere couldn't really be judged but it was many years since we visited and were very impressed with the refurbishment lovely food and friendly staff. Unfortunately they had run out of gluten free pasta on the pizza/pasta evening hence only 4 stars given.

Arrived with my niece and nephew on Pie night. What a really fortunate combination. We tried 3 different pies and each was packed with delicious meat, lamb/chicken/beef. The mash accompanying our individual just added to the pleasure plus the roast root veg. Service was great, friendly and swift just what we required. I can whole heartedly recommend the Swan if you want to eat tasty food at, in my opinion, very good prices to suit all appetites this is the place.We also enjoyed the range of drinks available, in fact, every part of our experience last evening.

Lovely Sunday lunch, great service and reasonably priced.

My partner and I regularly go through the Swan for Sunday lunch. The food is exquisite ,flavoursome. And the staff are friendly and helpful. Great place to eat.

We spent a lovely Xmas Eve night here, and really enjoyed ourselves. The drinks are extremely reasonable, staff very welcoming. We didn't have any food but I hear that the food is great too.

Food was ok, plate was a little empty compared to a lot of places. Even the girlfriend cleared her plate. Very nice place to be and eat though

The Swan is a lovely country pub in the village of Ullesthorpe, Leics. Steve and his staff are always friendly, the beer is brilliant, I recommend Tribute which is nectar. The food is always beautifully cooked, don’t worry about leaving g hungry as the portion sizes are more than generous AND great value for money. I would count this as a “must visit” pub. Andy Keeble

Highly recommend Monday Pie Night. Pie was full of meat ! Delicious, & fabulous service.

Monday night Pie night. Was not disappointed at all. A very generous portion with what I thought was a lot of meat within the pie. I choose the lamb pie with garlic and tarragon mash. I would highly recommend and was very good value for money.

Had a fab Sunday lunch with the family, and two dogs, in The Swan's lovely little beer garden. Delicious food, fab service, and the sun was shining!

Had another wonderful night at The Swan Inn again last night. We had the beef ragu lasagne and the nasi goreng. It was amazing! The desserts delicious too. We has a slight wait due to the pub being so busy but it was definitely worth the wait and i would highly recommend it! The staff were always smiling which creates a great atmosphere. We will be going back again today for the Sunday lunch! Thank you very much!

Had the Sunday roast. My god one of the best roasts I've ever had. The gravy is fantastic. Not one word said at the table whilst eating which in my household is impressive. Get yourself down there and waste no time else where

Food was fantastic, a very nice atmosphere and all the staff where friendly and helpful. and had a good selection to cater for various tastes, including the children. I’d recommend the black pudding scotch egg starter and the mushrooms in wine and garlic sauce. ( i think the black pudding scotch egg would be nicer with a sweet chilli jam, but that’s my preference). Looking forward to coming back with friends and Famiy.

Hidden Gem! Hands down the most incredible food! The ragu lasagne was outstanding and the best one I have ever had aside of my own anywhere! The burger was equally as good! Every single garnish and finishing touch was of a high quality and fresh and presented beautifully! Fantastic staff! Too good to not review! Thank you 😊 🥰

We have been a few times but on this occasion we were shown to our table ordered food once we were on our mains nobody came to check our food was ok and we were waiting to order more drinks .. my partner caught the eye of someone taking an order but she never came over after taking that order so we had finished our food when finally we got drinks .. we then could not get anyone's attention to pay the bill so ended up walking to the tills to pay .. We will go again but on this occasion we thought the customer service was not the usual standard .. food was nice as always...

First time at the swan in ullesthorpe we live local and decided to eat here for my birthday. Food was delicious and nice and hot friendly staff and after we stayed for a drink in the garden.It was a great evening and hats off to all the staff for some wonderful food will definitely be booking again.

Great staff and good selection of beers. Always a friendly atmosphere and have a good range of cocktails. They also have an Indian restaurant on site which has never let me down for a great meal!

Had a takeaway on Friday 1st of April the worst chicken madras I have ever had, I've been eating curries for over 40 years and this was awful. The base sauce wasn't cooked down it had raw onion and garlic I'm dreading tonight unfortunately. The one I had 3 weeks prior was passable.

The food is divine. Menu is extensive and to a particularly high standard. The place is beautiful and staff are super friendly, Absolutely amazing! The food portions was definitely 100% worth the price, the decorations fit the aesthetics to a tee and set me up for a good meal. Would highly recommend!!!

Love the pub..warm and inviting. Indian food....husband loved his lamb madras but the fish bhuna was pretty tasteless.....it was a takeaway otherwise would have provided feedback..

Eaten here a couple of times, food excellent in both cases. Yesterday we had two delightful curries with a keema naan and pilau rice. Couldn’t fault it. It would be five stars except it’s really quite expensive. Large G and T with a bitter £14.50!!! Cough….. And even the side dishes like Bombay aloo etc are £5.50 each. I mean £5.50 for a few potatoes and a little spicy sauce? Pretty sure they were £4.50 last visit? So to summarise, lovely food but expensive. Special occasions only for me…..😢

Fantastic food and always a warm welcome. The food is out of this world, I would recommend you try this gem of an Indian, because you won't be disappointed.

People here are toffs not being mean but that's not my type of place, besides the curry is really expensive for what you get, beers nice though so that's why it's not 1 star

Amazing I came last night night with my partner and it was perfect , the staff are lovley and the atmosphere was beautiful will be coming often ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Visited the new Swan to try the Tandoori restaurant, lovely interior and good range of beverages – shame about the clientle of local Travellers crowding the bar area shouting at each other whilst allowing their children to run amok, which me and my wife found to be rather intrusive and intimidating. Curry was ok, little lacking in flavour.

Had a takeaway shortly after they opened and were very impressed, so visited for a meal. The meal and takeaway were superb and full of flavour the only downside for us was that we found it a little noisy with the bar and other diners loudly talking so our conversation was minimal as we found it hard to hear each other and prefer not to shout. So prefer to keep to takeaways , but it remains our go to indian.

Curry was ok but spices needed to be cooked out more very raw. Had one chilli meal felt like a 2 to 3. Early days hope things can be corrected and they go far good for the village

Good friendly service and delicious food.

The food was fantastic on my visit on Saturday. Could not fault it. Every dish was of very good quality. The wait time from poppadoms to main dishes was very very long though, definitely need to work on that and one of the waiters needs to smile a bit more but as for the food, absolutely faultless.

Got a takeaway from The Swan last night. Great service, didn't have to wait too long despite it being a busy night but just had time to grab a quick beer. Good beer choice available, Red Stripe, Estrella, Inch's apple Cider, Tribute IPA to name a few. Our food was tip top, Garlic Chilli Chicken was amazing! Best by far and deffo well be back again. Cannot wait for the takeaway to open in Broughton in 5 - 6 weeks time.

First time diner, the service was excellent! The food wasn't bad either! 😉
