The service and food was fantastic, food was well presented and really tasty, good choice of dishes and friendly staff.

We went for lunch one Sunday. The food is Nepalese, good selection. Food well presented. Staff friendly,nice airy dining area. Would use again.

Excellent Indian meal, and great ale, a Perfect combo. Lamb chops to start, piro with lamb main. All perfectly cooked, delicious!

Looking for a snack. The pub was Nepalese and did Nepalese food, but accommodated us so we had food !.Service excellent, friendly service and we enjoyed our brief visit.

The service was fine but I just didn't like the place, sorry Edit: the Swan replied to my review telling me to stay at home because I don't like anywhere. I give plenty of 4 and 5 star reviews, so this simply confirms my initial review, the Swan is simply not my sort of place. For comparison I gave the Cross Keys in the same village 4 stars. I know where my custom will be going in future.

Their restaurant was superb, was so pleasantly surpised with their Gurkha kitchen as we were expecting a standard English pub with bland food. Best curries and sauces. Outstanding

The food and service at the Swan Gurkha Kitchen was outstanding last night. We enjoyed 4 delicious but different curries and the best ever mixed grill as an amazing starter. All four of us said this was the best Nepanese/Indian cuisine ever. We plan to return soon.

We popped into the Swan for a pint for the first time in ages. Well kept beer, average prices, nice surroundings. If you fancy a curry then it's recommended. Superb Gurkha style is well worth trying.

Gurkha Kitchen does great Nepalese food.

Delighted to see the Swan re-open, now as the Gurkha Kitchen. Excellent food, good atmosphere, freindly and attentive staff. First Class all round. We wil return soon to try more of the menu items.

First time in this newly and beautifully refurbished Gurkha/Nepalese restaurant, which only opened 2 days ago. The food was amazing . The service was friendly and professional. The chilli ratings are not like your standard Indian restaurant, but hotter, but the kitchen will tone down the heat on request. We will definitely be visiting again shortly.

We have visited this pub before and had good food so thought we would give it another go . Think the place has changed hands ? There is a very limited lunch menu but we ordered and waited quite a while as there was only one person on cooking and doing the bar , as it was there was only one other person in dining . The cutlery was not suitable for main meal dining it was very small and looked like in flight cutlery . When the food eventually arrived it was tasty . The young man was very pleasant and kept on asking if everything was ok . Think they need to employ a caterer if they want to up their game and improve the menu . They had none of our first request on the menu .

When you go out for a pub lunch with friends and ask for a Jacket Potato and a message comes from the kitchen that the chef doesn't know how to make them. Ok I'll have no. 9. Yes you guessed I dont know how to make that. Move on to the next pub I think. Absolutely ridiculous

The reviews below do not appear to mention that Thai food is on the menu at The Swan. Presumably the menu has undergone a significant change since previous reviews.Service was okay, a little hit and miss with a notable gaps between the first people's mains coming out and the last persons. The food was of decent quality, although I was fairly conservative in what I chose.

Had a lovely meal, pork belly for me and festive pie for my partner. Reasonably priced, good portion sizes. Served in good time and was all hot and well presented. Will definitely return.

All day breakfast served well and good quality food. Served by friendly staff and overall the place is peaceful and not too much noise from music or loutish patrons.

We had roast beef dinner and it was awful. The Yorkshires were cold, even the plate was cold and one floret of broccoli and two little carrots all for £9.99 - what a rip off! The new Owners weren't very welcoming and no one seemed to care that our meal wasn't very palatable! I won't be going there any more!

Having just 8 tables in the eating area this place doesn’t cater for many guests. You have to order at the counter and await being served. When ordering I could not get the belly pork on the menu so settled for a burger. Not impressed by the menu anyway. Food was adequate but did not impress to any degree that I will rush back here.

We dropped in for a drink in the way back from Milton Keynes and would be more than happy if this was our local. The decor is lovely and the staff very welcoming.

Autoservicio y pre-pago en el bar, como cualquier Pub inglés. Mi plato, Chicken Tikka Masala, aceptable, no así los platos de "Beef". El día de mi visita había bastante ruido ya que se llevaba a cabo un Bingo o algo parecido en el salón contiguo, lo cual no fuimos advertidos al momento de la visita.

I had lunch with three mates. Nachos had a really poor presentation, the steak was small and excessively cooked, one mate left the fish...

Since getting new Landlords this pub has had a complete change of atmosphere. It is now a very happy, friendly place to visit with great staff and great food.

Recently visited the swan, which has just been taken over by new management. Nice atmosphere and great fresh pizzas, £12 for a large pizza, £8 for a small, slightly expensive as a large one is about the right side for one person.

Firstly I should say this was my first and only visit to this pub and therefore this review is based on my first impression. As a local resident in the village I have been all to aware of the need for a good quality pub which offers a nice place to have a drink, good food and just a pleasant place to go for a night out with family and friends. It was well advertised locally that the Swan was under new management and offering all the things needed in a village pub, so while on a week off my wife and I decided to go and have lunch and see what it was like. I have to say and I appreciate that it was mid week but we were fairly dissapointed, the beer I wanted was not available, sandwiches were not on the menu even though the menu on line offers sandwiches and the bar person wasnt even sure if jacket potatoes were available (bear in mind this was lunch time and most people only want a light meal).

Pleasent place to spend evenign with friends or to organise some small family or uni events :) It is close to bus station, shops and in fact just near the main road.

There seems to be more Swans in this part of Beds/Bucks than most wetlands. And, like the birds, this one is very hard to distinguish from the rest. A small selection of real ales available during our lunchtime visit. Deserted bar and perhaps half a dozen dining in the restaurant. The barman just about cracked a smile and the place could do with a lick of paint. We flapped off in search of some livelier birds.

Feedback about this place has been variable, but we've visited it twice now and have no complaints, as long as you're not expecting fine dining. Good pub grub at very reasonable prices with pretty efficient service.

Going on TripAdvisor reviews I visited for dinner. The menu is quite diverse and very reasonably priced. I had Moules Frites and they were delicious served in a prawn bouillabaisse with frites and crusty bread. Was really good and just the right sized portion. I had an ice cream sundae which was also very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. Certainly good food at a fair price. Saw other dishes come out to customers and they all looked very appealing. Only in the area for two more nights but will get back to eat here if I can.

We received a friendly welcome at The Swan, Cranfield. We shared a platter for starter which comprised a baked Camembert, various meats , lovely warm baguette, olives etc. it was gorgeous! I chose a Caesar flatbread with chicken breast slices and ham, it was a delicious combination of flavours. My partner chose a mixed grill , a huge meal, but he did have a good try to eat it. He enjoyed the variety of meats etc.

Has become our local "go to" place over the last few years and we go for lunch most weekends. Great food, atmosphere and service with a menu that changes every season and always an interesting specials board. Friendly staff and management always make us feel very welcome.

Stayed at the swan overnight very clean and well presented the food was very good at a fair price,the staff where fist class I would recommend

Mark, the Chef, is amazing. He travels miles to source his food, spends lots of time and effort on creating taste tantalizing specials and cooks them to perfection. Both meals I had at the Swan were superb, good portions and different to anything you would find in any ordinary pub food. The cooked breakfasts were also super tasty. Excellent whether you want good, filling, home cooked food or whether you want to try the more unusual, ever changing specials. Mark also catered well for the children, making the effort to ensure their food was ready first and of high quality. Definitely be returning again!

Since being taken over this pub is a little gem. Go with colleagues and we always enjoy the food and new land lady is great and always accommodating. Just go and try it, you wont be disappointed.

Had a lovely unexpected stop off for lunch here 16/01 as we were out for a drive and a trip down memory lane for my husband who used to live in the village. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was good. We will definitely be returning to eat here again.

Took 18 to the Swan for dinner on Saturday night. We had a vast range of choices from the standard menu and some of the specials. All the meals were well cooked, served hot and on time - no mean feat! We were treated extremely well and our requests for help with birthday celebrations were all met with good spirit.
