Scruffy, dirty, run down place with rude, aggressive, threatening staff, who spend more time hanging round outside, smoking, than doing their jobs. I wish I could rate it as worse than terrible but that’s the lowest that Trip Advisor allows. Give it a miss, it’s truly awful.

my friend an I were on a night out Saturday. she cut her foot open blood everywhere and I somehow got man handled and thrown out forcefully by the bouncer, ready for the punch line. id dared ask for a plaster. just to clarify my friend was wearing open toe shoe boots.i have called trading standards.

I popped in for a pint, wasn't very impressed, should have known by all the cigarette ends outside the door, smoke if you want but tidy the pavement.😞

I liked the place when it first opened as the Tap in 2016 but I think it’s had a change of ownership so isn’t as good anymore. It was well decorated when it first opened (albeit unfinished) but lately they’ve put tacky pictures on the wall, removed some furniture so nowhere to sit, and the place looks a mess. It always feels cold and damp in there as well. When it first opened the music was good in there, but since they put in the juke box you either have to pay for music or sit in silence. Still have the odd drink in there, but never want to stay in there as long as we did when it first opened.

Good central location, and an excellent music being played, but a bit quiet, not many in so not much atmosphere. To be fair, it was fairly early (5 ish), so probably livens up later. Good bar staff, and a reasonable price

Wanted to support this fairly new reincarnation of the old Hairy Lemon in the hope that it had improved. We will not be returning! The barmaid was wearing her coat behind the bar so she could rush outside for a smoke and chat to friends at every opportunity. The female toilets are unfinished - walls are not all tiled. The male toilets had no soap or hot water. We enquired about the special offers on the blackboard to be told that they were all unavailable. We left and spent the rest of the evening (and our money) at The Station.

We called in after a shopping trip in Sutton. It was a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the manager made every effort to make us comfortable! Definitely worth a trip!
