They keep putting the prices up and not updating them on the menu

Just had a scallop that was more batter than potato and that was had and cold

Best fish and chips so far, according to my partner who has had better taste buds than my own. Edit 6 years on they are still the best, in fact know people travel miles and miles to enjoy them.

Had so food just not very good feel like been cook a long time and chicken not good

Bought my families dinner worth £15 and what I got is not what I expected,food was cold,hair in food and daughter tried to eat some chips and one of the staff asked to leave cause not allowed to eat in a takeaway restaurant.woefull service and management

Food is always delicious and hot. I take my daughter's after school and they're always greeted with a smile and leave with lollipops. Happy customers!

I had chicken & chips in a box chicken cooked in the microwave 🤮 will not be going again

Used to be a nice place to get chips but last few times I have been here the foods been a bit rubbish, I tend to avoid going here now as much as I can as there are much better chip shops not to far from this place where the foods nicer and the portions are bigger.ok if your stuck for food but if you can walk 10mins go else where

Had some chips a few weeks ago,was lovely,didn’t know if it was just because I’d had a drink,went back again sober and still the same,lovely fresh chips,cooked in nice fresh clean oil,the best I’ve had for a long time,and the elder lady that served me was lovely and friendly

The food is half decent and be tasty at time. But I can't say thr same gor the staffs hygiene, when serving customers I regularly see the servers cough into their hands and and wipe there nose with the bag of their hand. And then go onto handle food with the bare dirty hands. I've had to ask staff to wash their hand after witnessing said things

The older lady in here is absolutely horrid, I never leave reviews but this is the second time I’ve been and the second time she has been rude, will not be using again! Now I know why it’s always so quiet

Awful. Went here this evening for food asked for a large mixed meat kebab in a pita, got home and it was a small donner kebab, rang up and when they answered I got "who's this" not hello how can I help etc just who's this! Refused to rectify their wrong doing aswell as speak to me like I was nothing. This chippy just wants money and couldn't give a monkies about customer service and how to treat people either 🙄 😒 felt like a dog when I got off the phone. Must say I will walk an extra couple of minutes to the other chippy down the road next time. Avoid like the plauge unless you just want to be spoken down to.

Goodness I never experience such poor customer service . I walked in the lady at the till was moody , with an airpod in her ear talking instead of focusing on the customer . I ignored that I ordered the food and decided to mind my business . Sis was still in the phone . She then started serving the food , I noticed she had long pink nails , no gloves and she took her airpod from her ear and place it on the counter . She then bare handed my started handling the food , I politely asked her if she could please kindly get another clean container and avoid touching inside this one . She went off (lol) like I still don’t understand what the drama was about . Anyway , another Asian man came and asked what’s wrong I explained he served me with an attitude but still served . I didn’t even get the drinks I ordered with the meal . I will be reporting them as hand hygiene is really not a joke , if you can’t work with people don’t ! . I would definitely not recommend . The food was ok it was edible .

Came here on. Lunch time for kebab meat and chips, asked for salad but apparently no salad so went across the bus stop to eat it and it was rock hard like it was from Saturday night 😩, so I go back to let them know politely and the staff came on the attack sayinh I’m a begged and that I really loved the food but I just want money back! I had hardly touched it and when I showed him a piece of the kebab he turns round ang says that’s cold! Yeah I know it is 😂 definitely needs a course in customer service anyone else would of been like oh I’m sorry would you like to try something else not call hes customer a beg! Just rad all the other reviews and you will get the hint not to go here even if it’s the last place on earth

Wont be returning, I walked in as the guy behind the counter was playing on his phone he looked up no hello what would you like. Very rude not my idea of customer service definitely will not return,they need to learn some manners.

"Don't touch the glass mate", was the response to me gently laying the back of my cold hand against the hot food range so I left and went home and had buttered toast and a banana instead. And juice.

They need to update the sign outside the chippy. As they don't sell pizza as stated 😒 very disappointing when I asked they were very rude. We never sold pizza in the first place 😫 😕 😩 why have a sign up saying you do.

Food was awful, so disappointing. The customer service was also poor - a smile wouldn't go amiss! We had to wait to be served whilst a staff member stood crossed arms, very rude. For these reasons I won't be returning again.

Good service and food is great, especially the southern fried chicken

One of the best fish & chip shops I've been to, and I've been to quite a few. Fish and Kebabs are fresh and tasty and portion sizes are usually generous, at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Clean well laid out, only 3 people inside due to COVID19. Good food, parking outside in bays.

All your favourites available to eat ,if not on show fresh cooked to order. Lovely fish n chips battered sausages ,battered mars bars , pies ,pizzas made to order and kebabs. Local Staff friendly and helpful. Visit there monthly when visiting family.

The food is nice but the owners come across as not very friendly 8/10 for food quality 4/10 for attitude.

Went in bought out dinner got home food was cold and we only live across the road.

I usually go here a lot because I can't stop loving the food. I haven't had any problems with the staff or the food. Great service and yummy food. Great variety of selections that fit your likings. Wish there were more seats but apart from that I love it

The young woman is so rude gone it 9.45 and shegetting mad customers coming 15 mins before closing. Hardly anything u have that time bec put away

got a kebab and 90% of the meat was dry and hard and curled up. totally inedible. won't be going here again. either its been left to go dry or its from yesterday. absolutely disgusting

Usually good. But just now had a mix up on an order and recieved terrible customer service and attitude from a member of staff. Put me off the store and i will be spreading the word.

Not the best in the area. Usually greasy and flaccid chips. Was ok for a while under new ownership. Didn't take long to revert back unfortunately. Southside is worth going the extra distance for imo.

Value, quality and excellent service. Proper potatoes and huge portions! Mmmmm
