Beautiful day, ate outside. Fast service and food was nice. Good selection of beer's and other beverages

Had a lovely lunch in the Sun inn very tasty. Plenty of parking and plenty of seats in and out. The Staff were very professional and polite and a credit to the Sun. Thank you see you again soon. Highly recommended.

Shame they have got rid of the grass in the garden and replaced it with slate not very comfortable for dogs to sit on and the garden looks abit grey and concrety think it looked alot better with grass

Your usual pub menu at standard prices for the area with a good daily 'specials' option. Very busy (was a holiday period) so book in advance. Dog friendly in the bar area and outside only. There are just a couple of tables in the bar area for dining so again, book in advance if you are taking your dog. We've enjoyed it and returned for the third time in a week.

Busy, local pub with hearty food and friendly staff. We had a great meal there and were made very welcome. Would advise booking as it was busy!

Wonderful place, all the staff were welcoming and chatty, the service was excellent. We were able to order kid’s portions of fish and chips which were delicious followed by a zingy tarte au citron. Lots of locals at the pub and a good atmosphere. Thank you!

A little disappointed as we were trying to have an in depth conversation while having our lovely meal. Children were running in and out of the restaurant and were excitedly loud. I was surprised the parents seemed oblivious of other people's needs.

The blue cheese sauce was like water, the chips looked and tasted like they had been leftover from last night. They were disgusting. The steak was thin and looked well on the small size for a 8oz. I have owned several Gastro pubs so I am speaking from experience. On the plus side it was dog friendly.

We are this evening (Valentines Day) at 18:00 from start to finish the service was impeccable, we had my two nephews with us and they can be a handful sometimes. The staff couldn’t be more accommodating, they found some crayons and a colouring pad, they let us order early so that they could wear their meals and were over ensuring nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely fantastic. We will be recommending and coming back.

We ate at the Sun on Friday and Sunday. Both meals were great. Sunday lunch, roast Turkey, was really good value, good roasties and leeks plus veg and trimmings. Recommend Fruit crumble and custard too.

Lunch, good pub fair well priced, very helpful staff. We had our dogs so ate in the bar area, great atmosphere plenty of interest about the area, great open fire enjoyed the whole experience of we are in the area wouldn't hesitate to eat there

We waited nearly an hour for food (school holidays, busy evening) but the food was fantastic. Good portion size and quality. Great pub food. Being picky a warning/apology for wait time would have been nice but the quality made up for this

Very impressed. We booked for our party of 12 for our last evening on holiday. We were accommodated on 2 tables of 6. Various Starters, Mains and Desserts were ordered. We were all impressed with the quality of food and excellent service by all staff. A bonus was live music being in the background!

Great friendly staff, lovely pub in a gorgeous location. I ordered the veggie burger with salad and chips which was quite disappointing. It came, the chips were amazing, but the burger looked like a frozen patty baked and just shoved in a bun with nothing else. Very sad and definitely not worth the price! You can do so so much to a veggie burger to make it amazing, some hummus, avocado, caramelised onions. ANYTHING!

Just went for a drink, they don’t serve food mid afternoon. Went as heard it’s meant to be good. Landlord was friendly.

What a lovely pub. Staff are very welcoming and friendly and dog friendly as well. We stopped off for a bite to eat today and the food was fab and we would recommend you do the same if you are nearby.

We visited at lunchtime spontaneously and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Very friendly staff, overall a lovely family friendly, traditional pub. Great choice of food (especially vegetarian) and beers on tap! Very reasonably priced in today's climate too. Would highly recommend!

Found this pub whilst driving around the back lanes of the area today. Stopped in for lunch, had a wonderful warm welcome as well as wonderful baguettes. Dog friendly in the front bar and great prices too!

Called for a drink. Very friendly and accommodating. Looked nice for food although we didn't eat. Dog Friendly too which is always a bonus.

Delicious food and good service but check your bill carefully. Twice I ordered a glass of wine and each time was charged for an additional bottle of wine. An extra £54.

Dog Friendly? Firstly, The Sun Inn isn't in Pwllheli, it's almost in Aberdaron, so please take the Doggie Pubs app with a large pinch of salt. Everywhere on the Llyn peninsula seems to have a postal address of Pwllheli. Secondly, most of the customers and staff of the pub, including the owner, need to learn how to park. There would have been enough spaces if about six cars hadn't taken two spaces each. Finally, we reached the pub on a hot evening and asked if we could eat outside with our dog. The answer was "No, we're not serving food outside and we're full inside." The only dogs we saw were outside where only drinks were served. Strange for a Dog Friendly Pub. I wouldn't have minded if we had turned up on spec, but I had phoned the pub two days earlier to book a table. I had been told that we couldn't book an outside table, but the man didn't say we couldn't eat outside! I had made it clear to him that we would be bringing our well behaved dog. So.... we never found out about the food. Clearly the owners have so many customers that they can afford to be complacent about enquiries. We ended up at a chip shop in Pwllheli!

Popped in on the way back from Hells Mouth at lunchtime . Cracking pub, food was spot on, as was the draught cider (Henry Westons) 😋 I had the moule frittes & tuther half had the chicken burger. The accompanying chips were delicious, better than chippy chips !!! They also cooked us a couple of sausages for Stan 🥰 (Patterdale terrier) 🐾🐾 The staff were all polite and helpful, would we come again ? Definitely 😃👍🏻

I had a lovely meal, the staff were all very good. I had the best warm pork scratchings I have ever had, my friends said the same.

Very disappointed with this inhospitable pub. We were mid way ordering a special meal only to be told we hadn't reserved and they were full despite there being loads of room in the pub. We were very disappointed and we didn't even get an apology from the staff, just a curt 'we're full' even though the place was half empty.
