Nestled in a quaint corner of town, Myrddins Brewery & Distillery offers a delightful escape for cider aficionados seeking quality brews in a charming setting. Boasting an impressive array of flavors, this establishment stands out with its extensive selection of tasty ciders that cater to diverse palates. The brewery's intimate ambiance, albeit rather small in size, exudes warmth and a sense of community, making it an inviting spot for both locals and visitors alike. Upon entering, the rustic decor and friendly atmosphere immediately set the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable experience. One of the highlights of Myrddins is undoubtedly its diverse range of ciders, each crafted with evident care and expertise. From crisp and refreshing varieties to bold and complex flavors, there's something to please every discerning cider drinker. Whether you prefer classic apple blends or adventurous fruit-infused concoctions, Myrddins ensures a flavourful journey through their offerings. However, despite its many positives, one aspect that might detract from the overall experience is the allowance of dogs inside the premises. While some patrons appreciate the pet-friendly policy, others may find it a distraction, particularly in such close quarters. In conclusion, Myrddins Brewery & Distillery earns praise for its exceptional ciders and inviting ambiance, making it a noteworthy destination for anyone passionate about quality craft beverages. While the presence of dogs indoors might not suit everyone's preferences, it's a minor consideration compared to the overall positive impression this establishment leaves on its guests. Whether you're a cider enthusiast or simply looking to unwind with friends, Myrddins promises a memorable visit filled with flavour and charm.

There are no shortage of good pubs in and around Barmouth, some are upmarket and expensive, others are cheap and cheerful and everything in between. Myrddins Brewery micro pub is an excellent real ale and craft beer bar and spirits outlet. I enjoyed their own traditional best bitter (amber ale) at a reasonable price; there was a good choice of regional Welsh beers on draught, a vast range of bottles from Wales and the borders, several traditional and flavoured ciders plus a whole bar length of their own spirits. A lovely interesting couple brew the beer, distil the spirits and also served us running the bar. I will definitely visit again when next in Barmouth as this was my first time in the town.

A very nice range of beers and a beautiful location but it’s ruined by the lack of friendliness in the place Me and my partner Untappd our beers and we were looking through what we haven’t had before and taking the beers to the counter, the women didn’t even look up and say hello marely just £35 and threw the card machine at us. I can see from a number of reviews this has been mentioned before only to be responded to with snide responses. You have a lovely product, a smile and a hello and thank you would be appreciated and more welcoming **edit after review reply** How can the brewery possible know if it was busy that day, there was 3 people in the bar when we were there and the staff were more interested in speaking to the locals. It wasn’t busy, and I wasn’t interested in a Conversation about the weather but more the product that they were selling! The card machine was thrown at us and the only conversation I had was the total spent and if we wanted a carrier! If you despise tourists so much why own a bar and brewery in such a beautiful part of wales?

Frostiest welcome in a pub/micro brewery we have ever experienced. Staff incredibly unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome the second we stepped foot in the door. Asked one question about the tasting paddles and received an equally disheartened answer to the point we left after one round. Will not return and do not recommend

Brilliant micro-brewery bar opposite Barmouth Harbour. Always a choice of 6 real ales (usually 3 Myrddins and 3 otherWelsh ales), 5 ciders and Wrexham Lager. Vast selection of gin, rum and other spirits together with a large range of bottled Welsh beers and ciders. All drinks available to drink in or takeaway. Wonderful, relaxed atmosphere where locals and tourists are equally welcome. Tip : try the tasting paddle - 3 one-third beers/ciders for the same price as a pint 👍

Delightful little micropub...staffed only by the owners. The food is basic but we'll priced and tasty, the ales were all in good condition, a great range of gins were also on offer...only minor criticism would be the temperature of the ale was just a touch too cold....but well worth a visit if in Barmouth.

Well , walked across town to try this place but was totally ignored by the barman who was too pre-occupied chatting to his mates . Even ringing the bell on the counter didn’t seem to encourage him to serve any of his waiting patrons , I was not the only customer waiting . So If you are thirsty ..don’t bother ..! It seems in the owners reply it’s beneath him to serve customers as the owner, and he would rather chat about beer ! Silly way to do business if your business is to sell beer

First off - I own a micro-brewery and try and support every micro-brewery I come across as we need to stick together. I was upfront about this and looking forward to a bit of mutual chat about it. I found the owner very reluctant to chat at all about it. Shame. I bought a 2 pint take-out of whatever he recommended and three bottles, again, what ever he recommended. I now understand his reluctance to chat beer as it's clear that he's no idea how to brew. The two pint take out was drinkable, in the way that a homebrew kit is. The bottles (all different porters) were vile. All were a sour base that tasted like they had had different flavoured syrups poured in. I was unable to finish any of them. As a micro-brewery owner I am well aware that not every batch is perfect and that your customers will forgive a slightly sub-par brew from time to time. But this.....NO! As I've already said, I try and support other in the industry but having read the rude replies to other customers I don't see any point in holding back from passing on my comments and concerns. It's a nice atmospheric bar and would do well if the owner stuck to selling only guest ales!

Great service. Friendly staff. Fantastic choice of beer. I had a "dark side of the bridge" dark beer. Like a mild but a little more gas/body to it. 4.5% I think. Nice. I then had one of Myrddins Taps bitters. Sadly I cannot pronounce the name. Clodeau something or.other.I think. It was, however, a nice refreshing beer with a slightly bitter, but not unpleasant, aftertaste. I'll be back there next time I'm in Barmouth They do a tasting board if you are not sure what takes your fancy or just want to try a selection. Loads of beers to take out too. Absolutely a must visit for ale.lovers. Check it.out. Its worth it.
