Had a lovely mother's day meal (roast), food was lovely, atmosphere was great and staff were very attentive (checking everything was ok with with food and if we needed refills with drinks etc..) special mention to Adam and Charlie who were looking after our table, both were friendly and helpful, will be back soon ☺️

Great Sunday lunch in a very quiet restaurant. Meat was very tender, wonderful selection of vegetables. Free car parking nearby. We will be returning again soon.

Popped in on the off chance as Wetherspoons was packed. Had a lovely meal with friendly service. We didn't use the rooms we just popped in for a drink and food

Lovely town and lovelier place for a Sunday roast

Really impressed with the improvements to the bar area and the new staff who are amazing . Harry behind the bar is a credit to the Hotel & the awesome Erin who absolutely adores our puppy . Our lamb shanks were so tasty! We’ll be back!

I was staying here last night. Great service, great location the rooms are relatively clean besides the bathroom which had hair in some places. But the main issue was the shower the pressure was amazing but the temperature went from hot to cold. It was a great stay and great reception.

Just had a lovely Christmas lunch, the nut roast was great and plenty of veg on the plate. Service was very good and cheerful. Thankyou

Great placenta stay so local to the town centre and great food reasonably priced

The food was lovely,big portions,warm and tasty,the waiter we had Clive was very sweet,and helpful. Good value for money.

Friendly staff, clean room, good full English even though there was no black pudding, good location with parking. Excellent value for money

We come and stay here away from work the bar staff are amazing and very helpful especially Shan who goes up and beyond to help out

This is a good location, its a shame the rooms are dated and not cared for very much, staff was good, it was just ok. The rooms and surroundings need some eye for detail. The carpets are ageing and to be honest most of the fixtures are also, the ones replaced are low quality. I spent one night here only. The town is an old market town and well worth a visit this place probaly isnt ideal for a tourist visit over a few days but its ok for a night as was the opinion of a few others staying here, some of the rooms are very small also.

Had a lovely roast dinner served by Harry Baily. Nothing was too much trouble and he gave us service with a smile. We asked for a lot of extras ( sauces, more gravy etc). Plenty of food, we had enough to take some meat home for the dog. Highly recommend !

Only went for food. Went for breakfast but was advised that they only did lunch. Was about to leave when a staff member said they would ask the chef if he could do breakfast. Which they did. Great customer service.

Sunday roast was fantastic, particularly good roast potatoes. Great service from Benjamin and Shan.
