Got here at 7:40, lights off and nobody in 40 minutes after opening time

Not open at the time they should be

Service was good food arrived quickly. I had sausage egg and chips the eggs were rock hard. The sausages were of poor quality I would not recommend.

What a great find, the Food was very tasty, the service friendly and fast and since taking over the cafe in this past year the new owner has taken pride offering the best he can.

Asked my youngest where would you like to eat the reply cracked us up....the funny man who cooks faces ...we knew what she meant as the chef cooked a dinner and made it into a face only this time got her to eat once again with design on a plate with chips placed into a man surfing on fish finger and beans as the sea So creative and amazing with getting her to eat. food delicious service outstanding

I had breakfast #2 ..it was amazingly good I shan’t go elsewhere now..good portions..friendly place..definitely the best place for breakfast along southchurch road …give it a go you won’t be disappointed

Freshly cooked food. Hot & really good food. Friendly staff. Clean environment. We go most weekends for our lunch there as the owner is very happy & friendly and a great cook

Myself and my wife had curry goat and jerk chicken. The food was fantastic authentic and really lovely portion price wasn’t bad too. I would recommend this Caribbean experience to anyone, you will thoroughly enjoy it

Got takeaway from one of their special Caribbean nights where they serve awesome curry goat or jerk chicken. Good portion size, awesome taste and reasonable price too. I'll definitely go again on Caribbean night. Breakfasts are the best around too!

Wow where to start came in this welcoming little gem of a cafe the gentleman welcomes all of us individually very polite took the time to speak with us asked us how our day was going etc when we ordered I said to him my daughter is not easy to get to eat so do something small as didn't want to waste it she's nearly 4 to my amazement he came with her lunch making a face out of mash beans sausage on her plate We all thought that was funny never have I seen my daughter so quite and finish all of her plate without a struggle to feed her Total shock to us all and said if she finishes it she can choose anything from the fridge for eating it all Food was outstanding service greeting impeccable literally went above and beyond 5 stars is not enough for this cafe and 5 stars is no where near enough for what this chef deserves genius getting my girl to eat .wouldnt eat anywhere else after this experience. Super clean super friendly simply amazing.

Food is spot on. A huge choice to choose from. The sausages are the best around. Friendly staff, quick service and freshly made food. Would highly reccomend this cafe. Even a takeaway service available.

We chanced our luck as it was quite late in the day, but the lovely chef let us in anyway. Lots to choose from, best curry sauce I’ve ever had. Left there full after our tasty lunch will definitely be back to try something else off the menu as I couldn’t make my mind up. Thanks, see you soon.

After seeing the cafe was under new management thought would stop off this morning. From the minute walked in we felt welcome was even aloud to take my puppy in with me . food was cooked fresh big portion sizes service was spot on very reasonable prices . Probably the best cafe in Southend in my opinion. Always a pleasant atmosphere in here. I find it's hard to get a cafe with good quality meat especially sausages but everything is 10/10 here and I'm a fussy eater.

We came in for lunch after a bit of hard work it was really nice greeting and filling would come in again and eat again it was brilliant

Menu options clear and easy. Food preparation is quick and comes out piping hot. Smashing cuppa. Service is friendly and helpful.

Staff are very friendly and efficient and the food is great in the tradition of working mans caffs. Their black pudding and fried slices are delicious. I only eat breakfasts there so can't comment on their lunch offerings but I have seen other customers enjoying them.

If you want a slap up full English then this is the place. Food served quickly and decent price for what you get.

Este es un gran café. Los fritos no es grasienta y el tocino es excelente. Te dan dos lonchas con el desayuno estándar y para las 5:50 conseguí dos huevo frito, bacon, salchichas, champiñones, buenas tostadas y café, todo fabuloso. Personal amable y limpio. No sé si la tarjeta. No almuerzo y café ofrece comida estándar. A veces es posible aparcar en la calle en los alrededores o detrás southchurch carreteras más probable
