Lovely café with lovely staff. The food and coffee is excellent, but a little pricey. They have some really nice cakes and pastries also.

This cafe is at the foot of the funicular railway (which is currently out of commission). After an early morning walk on Cairngorm we were in the mood for bacon baps. They were delicious! A window seat gives fantastic views and we were lucky enough to see such rare birds as Snow Buntings and Ring Ouzels.

Det er et stort lyst lokale på 1. etage indrettet med de moderne franske Tolix stole. Der kunne ha´ været en fantastisk udsigt over Cairn gorms hvis ikke det var for to store containere stablet ovenpå hinanden.

We stopped in here whilst at Cairngorm Mount. It was a bitterly cold day but the staff were warm and welcoming. Great, hearty soup to warm you up and the chips and curry sauce was amazing. Looked like a small portion but very filling. Well priced too. Nice to relax for a bit after a walk and enjoying the amazing view.

Went up the mountain on a cool wet afternoon and popped in for a bowl of hot soup and a coffee. It didn't stop the rain but my goodness it felt better. Nice staff and delicious soup. Not dog friendly which is a shame.

Adequate for cuppa/snack but too noisy to spend low here. Cakes all nice and staff worked quickly to keep the queue down (which was at times pretty long!)

There's been a huge change in the atmosphere on Cairngorm Mountain since the current management (Natural Retreats) took over. Such a shame as its located in a beautiful position and should be teeming with customers. As we entered a couple leaving told us "not to bother" - we soon saw why. Sadly disinterested staff (watching a video on their phone behind the till) and rather pricey offerings - all in all not very inviting. The adjacent shop has some nice stuff for sale but most of it is ruined by the words "Natural Retreats" which seems to be plastered over many things on sale. We didn't purchase from the cafe or the shop in the end and left feeling disappointed.

Went up to the Ski Area for a look at the Skiers/Boarders and went here for coffee and cake and was very surprised as it was actually very good. My only gripe was the door leading into the Restaurant constantly banged, so it would be good if they put a spring or other mechanism on it

My partner & myself were luck to find 2 spare seats to sit down for food at 1130. The jacket potatoes and salad were tasty and also really enjoyed the apple strudel. Cannot fault the hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream on such a cold day. Only down size was the price.

Under no circumstances choose to eat here. Bring a sandwich or just don't bother eating and save your money and your veins from the fat overload. Expensive and poor quality. Never eat anywhere if the specials board has Sausage Rolls and Portion of Chips as options.

Dropped in on the way down from Cairngorm after a day on the hill. Just a couple of teas but very refreshing. Nothing special and a little expensive but the additional costs associated with the operating environment justify a little extra - but maybe not this much.

Called in here as we were passing with the intention of just having a coffee, but then I saw the cakes - wow what a fabulous selection!! I had the biggest meringue I've ever seen and it was delicious. My husband had the spicy chicken sandwich and said it was really tasty with the perfect amount of spice (and he's fussy with sandwiches!)

This is a very welcoming café when you've been outside on the observation deck at the top of Cairngorm admiring the amazing views! Even on the last day of July, and with several layers of clothing on, it was perishing outdoors, so it was so good to come inside for a Hot Chocolate and a Chocolate Brownie. The Brownies were terrific! The must do a roaring trade in hot drinks I bet!It is a self-service place, and was fairly busy, but there seems to be plenty room for everyone, as people are constantly going and coming back and fore up and down the mountain.

Starbucks coffee served. We sat outside in the sunshine soaking up the view and imagining what it would be like with skiers and snow ! Super spot. Although it is on the first floor there is a lift and a ramp so it can be enjoyed by everyone !

I love Starbucks so nice to see it in Aviemore - I had a Hot Chocolate to heat me up. All the rest of the food is non-Starbucks. Try the Caramel Shortcake - its deliscious! The Store House is slightly hidden (well it was to me!) In the building next to the Funicular Railway, there is a shop on the lower floor and then upstairs there is a cafe, this is it. You can also access via the side door in the space in-between this building and the Funnicular Railway. The service isn't great, we had to wait at the counter until 2 staff members finished their casual conversation before we were served and they continued to chat in-between serving us. The when seated at our table the waitress was clearing a table and dropped a fork across the floor which hit my foot. She left it there for 20 mins before returning to pick it up. In the time we were there the tables were very slow in being cleared which made the cafe look messy

During our week long visit for snow sports this place offered a welcome rest between some the runs. There is plenty of choice whether its a cake and drink or a warm lunchtime meal and given the captive audience the prices were not as extortionate as i fear they could be.Used this place everyday and although at times it is busy there is a quick turn around as people head back to the slopes and seats always seem to be available.

Lacks all the charm of it's predecessor. Clinical and drab, not a patch on how the mountain used to be after a hard day on the slopes. Better off getting lunch at the top...not worth hanging about for a pint after. Getting yourself into town would be a better option in one of the pubs with more atmosphere at a cheaper price. Missing the banter, the PORTION OF CHIPS ONLY and general everything about how it used to be at the bottom of the hill. SOULLESS!!!!

Visited the mountain resort earlier this year and had Iunch at The Storehouse. I have to say it was fantastic, the menu was varied and the quality of the food was what I would expect from a top class restaurant, not what you usually get in a ski restaurant. It was all freshly cooked utterly yummy and just what you want when coming in from the cold, some good wholesome comfort food.!

No food on offer other than crisps, ice cream and a meagre offering of cake, shocked as we were there for a 1pm show and had travelled over an hour thinking we would be fine for lunch at the theatre. Staff were fine, no hint of getting things done in a timely fashion and not much interaction with customers. Decor is depressing, such a big space makes it cold and echoey. Just no atmosphere whatsoever. Very disappointed and won't be back.

We stayed at this Inn/Hotel at the beginning of November, returning home we received an email asking us to review our stay. This we did by email, however, we did not receive a reply nor did we receive a reply to our follow up copy email, which I now type below. "Many thanks for your email, usually we send a report good or bad to Tripadvisor, as you have asked for feedback I am happy to share our thoughts with you initially. I have an email from you confirming our reservation from the 4th to the 8th November, 2024 in a Garden Room. This was because we have a dog and thought this would be an easier option should she need to go outside. When we arrived we had NOT been booked into a Garden Room for our five nights, as per your confirmation. We were offered a garden room for 3 nights and two other nights elsewhere within the hotel. I really did not feel changing rooms, packing and unpacking for two nights was a good idea, so we opted to stay again in Room 111 for the five night stay. I am sure you will agree, this was not a good start to our holiday. I spoke to another couple who had also booked a garden room only to find they too had been misallocated a room and these long established customers were very upset and vowed not to return next year for their 8th year. I feel it necessary to draw to your attention the lack of servicing for Room 111. Each day our duvet was "just turned over at the top", the bottom sheet was not straightened and the pillows were as we had arisen, not even straightened and aligned. The cleanliness in the bathroom left much to be desired. As I am sure you are aware there is no toilet brush next to the lavatory. The toilet was not cleaned throughout our stay and the bowl after five nights was turning a light shade of brown, however, diligent attention was paid to folding and making the spare toilet roll and the one for use look pretty. I would have preferred a clean toilet. This takes me on to the bath. On arrival there was a single long dark hair in the bath, as we did not use the bath and both have grey hair, this was still there when we left!! The shower doors require a thorough clean and polish, there is black mould on the wall and around the base of the shower. During our stay this was NOT cleaned at all. Mould and Mildew spray with a toothbrush would solve this problem. Likewise the wash hand basin was neglected. No dusting or vacuuming was carried out in the room for the duration of our stay. For your information I left a piece of cotton and a clean tissue on the floor and they were not picked up. When we had dinner in the bar area dogs were quite welcome. However, in the morning we did feel rather like second class citizens as we were with other dog owners required to use the alternative dining room, which was uninviting and a long way from the self-service area in the breakfast room. On two days for breakfast we were along with four other owners with dogs, allowed to use the breakfast room. No explanation was given for the flexible rule. To end on a good note, the staff were pleasant and helpful, always willing to assist in anyway they could. It is with interest I await your response. " On our next trip to Scotland we shall stay elsewhere.
