Food hot and tasty, staff were very attentive and friendly felt very welcome definitely recommend, great selection of beers

The service was absolutely amazing!! The servers were so friendly and polite and always had a smile! Specially Alain, he had absolutely amazing service and was so friendly and helpful! As well as Kailey she was such a gem, so polite and kind. The service here is absolutely amazing and the people are fantastic as well as the food, sooooo delicious!!!! Definitely recommend going here for fabulous food and friendly service :)

Called in on speck to see if they did breakfast to be met by Aleesha who was the perfect host. Welcoming and informative with a pleasant demeanour. Service from her was excellent and the breakfast perfect. A great place for a Sunday breakfast

This place used to be ok for a quick lunch whilst travelling through Warrington, however, when visiting recently I found It was filthy. There was thick dust everywhere next to our table, I thought It must be a one off? but on the return journey a few days later, It was still there. It looked like a few months worth of dust build-up. I'm not sure if they even have a cleaner? No wonder this place only has a 2 * Hygiene rating. I shall not be returning anytime soon :(

Alan our server was kind, caring, polite and friendly. ( these words are from my 2 boys 8 and 10) not been in for a very long time has the standards had dropped a long time ago. We popped in after taking the dog for a walk and thought let's give it a try. Food and drinks amazing been in 5 time in past 6 weeks and can't complain about anything. Staff awesome 2. Welcomed our doggie with treats and comfortable atmosphere 🙂

We come as a family with the dog at all different times to watch the football matches. We have food and drink and chat with the staff. All staff are happy and quick to join in on any jokes. The manageress can't do enough for you. She comes and chats with customers and can be overheard being polite with staff thanking them for doing jobs. She was so patient with my nan explaining the vinted day. Since she has come to the pub it'd a true community hub for the local area. We wouldn't go anywhere else. All the staff are great with us and my dog.

Its now a Great crossover between restaurant and pub, lots going on inc. cabaret, bingo, quiz nights, sport on TV, good beer, nice staff, nice food and friendly.

Wow what a fabulous day in the stonemill the cabaret day is amazing and such a good atmosphere kailey the manageress is an amazing lady and had done so much for community since being at the stonemill , young old it doesn't matter she makes everyone feel welcomed , my brother said he will definitely be back next time , food fab , entertainment fab and kailey is amazing as are the staff who was working today well done 👏

Terrible experience. I had to usher my son out as the language coming from the manageress was disgraceful, shouting abuse at her staff, she had no control whatsoever, I felt disgusted with her foul language, nothing I can repeat on here. My youngest son was subject to this, so we left. I felt sorry for the young staff having to tolerate her behaviour. I shall not be returning anytime soon.

Great times are back at the Stonemill, great food, lovely staff, good beer. Family friendly location great under new management and it shows.

Since the stonemill has changed to a Joseph and Holt the menu is not as good by far and expensive. Asked for a fresh orange and sold out, this is a staple of any pub and should not be sold out. They stopped the carvery or the cake aways which where great. Food turned up fast but was nothing special. Will be going a farmhouse in as far better menu...

Food is absolutely gorgeous, i had the 3 tapas style plates and it was honestly stunning, so much flavour and all 3 plates cooked to absolute perfection. The manager was so genuinely lovely and couldnt do enough for everyone in there. I will definitely be returning

We went for a family lunch and can I just say amazing staff really helpful lovely food super fast service and we even got extra roasties 😀 would highly recommend Sunday lunch and chocolate fudge cake. Well done The Stonemill

Staff really pleasant but carvery could have been a bit hotter. Maybe cover veg to keep heat in? I’m not usually someone who is bothered about food temperature and it was definitely edible and good quality. Would I go back? Yes!

We run a small business and being local to the stonemill decided to use them for an event of 40 people. And we could not fault them whatsoever. From booking, opening early for us, the service, the food to taking an interest in what we were doing, the stonemill and stonemill staff were amazing. The food was fabulous, variety spot on, and tasted great. We will definitely be hosting another event for sure!

Courtney (pink hair) has been a great help today her service was outstanding and she and Sophie have been very helpful too! They deserve a pay raise and promotion both are so helpful and polite Courtney helped me with a drink issue and Sophie and Courtney worked together to fix the issue with my drink. 5 stars to them both

Spot on, Stake and Ale pie is to die for. Kids meals more than reasonable priced and then chuck on two scoops of an ice cream for a pound 👏🏽👏🏽 recommend for families

It was my mums birthday, one lovely lady was giving us a heads up on what's good (small plates), another guy, very friendly with a good sense of humour, came over for a chat asking us what we liked/disliked. Even all the staff came together and made her feel special and sang happy birthday. Your staff really made our night, which is the reason for the 4star. thankyou to your wonderful workers this evening. The downside.. The steak and ale needs looking at, tastes like tinned meat, and your hanging kebabs need more meat as it was mainly veg and onion. Your small plates were more appetising than most of the meals ordered. The lasagne was fab tho. I'm only reviewing this evening as your staff this evening made it special. Customer service was bob on!

Absolutely disgraceful. Great staff, very accommodating and friendly. Great tasting food from a good varied menu. Very reasonable prices. Actually this would be a great place to stop for a break if you were travelling on the m6 as its easy to get to and way better than any service station.

Food was really quite nice but the service was poor. 4 staff members stood around chatting (pub was virtually empty) whilst my wife and I waited...and waited...and waited for them to clear the table and bring deserts. At least two of the staff caught my eye and looked away to continue their conversation.

My friends and I had a lovely meal here this evening. The food was cooked perfectly and we didn’t have to wait too long. The staff were really attentive and friendly. I felt sorry for them as they had some things not on the menu due to shortages but what the did order was very nice. A shame to see the place so quiet, but we will be back.

Ordered a 2 stakes both came overdone then sent back and came back out underdone. Also the open kitchen is a great addition so you can hear the kitchen staff talk horribly about customers. What I lovley place if you want to feel robbed and abused by staff. The only way to better this place would be to find a chef who actually knows how to cook not one that got tought how to cook a steak by a vegan!

I walked in looking forward to a Roast and a big slice of cake (or 2) but to my distain not only have they stopped doing cakes, they only have carvery on Sunday's now! I reassessed and looked over the menu. I plumped for the chicken burger but was told they didn't have that either. So I ordered the cheese and bacon burger. Being a burger lover meant this seemed a decent consolation. I added breaded mushrooms for a starter. The disappointment worsened sadly... Firstly the mushrooms were a rip off. £4.70 for a handful of them, laughable! When my burger came I asked where the cheese was and I was informed it was on the top half of the bun. I would've felt embarrassed but the fact I struggled to find it says a lot for how much of it there was. And really the cheese should be layered on the patty.... The patties were overcooked so very dry. Even my attempt to drown them in BBQ sauce had little affect. I never thought I'd regret adding an extra patty to a burger! The service I received was mixed. One staff member couldn't break a smile. Another was friendlier but still needed asking to provide cutlery... My final disappointment was the football result but I can't fault the pub for that!Really sad to see such a decline at this place and I won't be back...

Staff are always so welcoming especially when you have wild toddlers Sam has always made a huge effort with my son Dylan. Louise has also got to know what Dylan likes. I love how they remember all their customers and what we like
