Went there yesterday and loved it. Staff were great. Really good value for money is amazing, and the retro games kept us entertained all night. Ping pong, pool, free pinball machine and beer pong. So cool!

Latest incarnation of the pub nearest to the bus station. Located next to the student halls of residence for BNU. Its currently being refurbished and bought up to a decent standard. Pool, lagers and live music.

Lovely place to go for a drink and a laugh. Thursday night is karaoke and always fun

Only stayed for 1 drink but from what I saw (clean loo,s and very friendly barman) it looks like it will be a very friendly place to drink... Nice new paint work too.

Great to see young local bands having a friendly stage with a full sound deck to play live. This is so important for bands to get better. Rock on.

Literally just done a gig there with my band: 'Apathy Avenue' and it was amazing!! All the staff are so friendly and welcoming I felt like I was constantly among friends!!

If your young or old this can be fun or pure gold.. many a great band will keep you out late and good beer to hand. MGBM Artworks...

The phoenix bar is a great venue for live music, I love that it has something for everyone. Karaoke nights are always a winner. The new revamp has really spruced up the place and toilets are actually clean for a live music venue which is lovely

Toilets have had a revamp. Are now clean and smell lovely. This was the only area of concern. Great live music venue and very much needed in the town! Staff are amazing and cover genres from Rock, pop, ska, punk and metal what’s not to love !

A great pub venue with an excellent team there and a nice selection of lagers 😊 The Satellites had a great time there and we are looking forward to returning 😎

Live music events are great and with a combination of open plan design but proper venue feels with a proper sound desk at the back fir some great music. Bar itself had amazingly friendly staff, just let down slightly by some roudy folk and frankly very grim toilets but as a music venue, fairly cool 👌

Friendly Bar Staff, Friendly Customers; Great Music.

Watered down, over priced drinks.

Let me say this first, the bar staff are incredible and this is a fault with the pub itself, at the time i went in, there one bathroom was closed and the other labeled unisex, which is fine, what i didnt expect was the floor to be flooded in the open toilet and a lock missing from the door. The music was far too quiet for karaoke, and to add to this I could sing louder than the actual microphones, horrible quality. Drink prices were extortionate for 7pm, and if it wasnt for the exceptional barman I wouldnt have even bought them. (To the barman with purple hair, you are amazing at your job).

I like this place a lot. I have done a gig twice here. Great vibe and great bands. However, sound varies depending on which sound guy is there. But most of the time it's great.

Excellent bar for gigs. They held an awesome metal festival recently! Best local festival I've been too in years. Just leave your coats at home because it gets warm inside.

Barman was pleasant enough. Drinks were ok. Place was pretty dead night we visited and little off putting considering we had a customer (regular I presume) swatting flies at tables around us.

Really inviting pub with good quality food and entertainment. Have been going here for years and always enjoyed it.

Overpriced beer in not so clean glasses. Prices go up as the place gets hotter. No aircon, and the toilets were last cleaned in '68

Always great playing shows here. Would be nice if there wasn't a a £5 minimum on card though.

Really welcoming atmosphere, staff always polite and attentive. Serves a variety of drinks to suit any occasion and food too. A lot of events on through the week too including live bands, kareoke and DJ battles. I highly recommend bringing your friends to play pool or game of darts accompanied by the vast selection of tunes on the juke box. Always a great night out!

My favourite place in HW, nice people and staff, many concerts and events, pool, dart, jukebox and everything you need to spend a nice evening. Highly recommend it.

Proper music bar, rough and ready with freindly staff and great bands, courtyard smoking area parking outside town center opposite bus station and 10 minute walk to the train station.

Absolute trash bar. I bet the guys working their a pound for a match of pool. They stole my pound and when I tried asking for my money back, they tried telling me that they gave me the pound to play. Then threw me out. Completely filled with no integrity. Can I rate less then one star?

Great venue , craft beers & standard mix of lagers & others available for all music lovers. Toasty real fire keeping the place warm & sociable. Very friendly & chatty & informed bar staff. Proper stage & sound technician. Gigs!!!

Nice bar with friendly and responsible bar staff. They not only were more than happy to engage in conversation and put up with my drunken babbling but also cut me off when they felt I'd had too much which is of course equally as important at a proper alcoholic venue. Very very good, genuine place 😊
