The Station Hotel Bar & Grill in Falkirk

Went for dinner with father-in law recently and the food was exceptional. Hadn’t realised what an amazing little place this was. I had the pork loin with burnt apple. Cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. Ideal portion size and presentation was spot on. Will definitely be back to try the new menu. So many tasty options. Serving staff were attentive and happy to help.

Bar which serves craft beers, great atmosphere with restaurant attached serving excellent food and friendly professional service. This is a good business that should be rated number 1 in Larbert. The standard of food makes it excellent value. The beers not bad either. Overall a great venue.

The message is in the title! Visited recently for Sunday lunch and although previously been in the Station itself as a local, never been in before for food but would certainly recommend it after our visit. Not only was the food excellent but the service provided by the waitresses was superb, so a big thank you to them. Prices also very reasonable for good, large, fresh portions, so be sure to give them a try if you are passing as it may not be somewhere you realise does food but it certainly does! Thanks again, we will be back soon

We moved away from Larbert a couple of years ago and always seam to find our way back to the station hotel. Went yesterday to watch the rugby and have some food and drinks. The bar staff are amazing helpful and friendly.As usual great drink and very reasonably priced . Had dinner in the new refurbished area up the stairs. The rugby was still on in the bar down the stairs at this point and I jokingly asked if it could be put on the big screen in the restaurant. It was quiet so the staff agreed and after a few technical hitches the big game was on the screen. Amazing! We went for the full 3 courses and it didn’t disappoint. The food was tasty fresh and hot . Had a lovely fillet steak one of the best I have had for a long time.Great food ! Again the staff were so friendly and the service was outstanding. We will be back Thank you 😊

In for a few drinks with friends on a Sunday night. Bar staff and owner decided to close the bar abruptly before their advertised closing hours with no warning ( no last orders call) and were very cheeky when we politely asked why there had been no notice. Owner of pub is a very smarmy man who seems Unaware that it’s the customer that pay his bills. Won’t be back.

A regular stop off when I make my trips to Stenhousemuir FC. Right outside Larbert station so very handy. Always two or three real ales on and as ever on form. Food being served again so no longer possible to eat cobs purchased from the nearby newsagents…fair enough I say.

My husband and I had lunch here yesterday and were bowled over by the fantastic customer service. Our waitress was a lovely young girl who made us feel very welcome and took time to chat to us despite the restaurant being busy. The food was great too, mu husband reckons it was worth driving from Wales to Scotland just for the steak pie. Look forward to returning when the opportunity arises. Would give service a 10 star rating if we could. Thank you for making our visit such a lovely memorable one.

I have been a few times and never been disappointed. Took my friend here for her first visit. Food was delicious and well worth the price . Piping hot. Never take a sweet but couldn’t resist the banoffee pie and I was not disappointed . Really yummy. The very young girl serving was lovely and so welcoming . Definitely be back again

Absolutely amazing food, I had 2 starters. I know pure greed! Glad I did, vegetables soup and haggis bon bons, delicious. My partner had prawn cocktail. A cheese burger and HM steak pie for mains and we even has the cheak to order desert. I will make this place a regular place to eat

Highly recommend for food and drinks. Cheerful, welcoming and friendly staff. Nothing is too much of an ask. I am currently gluten free and having to drink hot drinks, including juice. This was not an issue to the staff, Ashleigh in particular. She was very attentive and heated my drinks and provided a gluten free menu. This isn't the first time we have been for a meal and have to say we have never experienced a bad one yet. Will koy hesitate to go back.

We have wanted to try the Station for some time after it opened and eventually found the time to do so. After booking in advance we turned up and after being kept waiting at the door for a couple of minutes, we were approached by a grey haired gent who was abrupt and not welcoming. The waitress left us menus and returned after some time to take our order. The meal in itself was basic but portions were generous, overall not worthy of the asking prices. The service was slow even though it wasn’t too busy, the staff on shift gave the impression of going through the motions with friendly outlook towards the customers. Overall not a welcoming or friendly experience with no better than average food, slightly overpriced for bar food. Sadly to say we won’t be rushing back on the strength of this visit.

We stay just across from The Station and regularly visited for drinks before lockdown but we are delighted they are now doing food. We visited on Saturday night with family and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal, drinks and the service from the girls. The steaks were cooked perfectly and genuinely better than the likes of Miller & Carter etc, the steak pie was fantastic and a great portion size and the macaroni was creamy and piping hot, just lovely! Myself and my MIL were too full to order our own sweets but we did have a little taste of the others and the banoffee pie and Eton mess were gorgeous. Even though it was an incredibly busy and hot night the girls on service were extremely attentive and friendly and regularly checked in on us which was great. We even had a little check from the owner to make sure everything was ok which was a lovely touch. We will certainly be regulars for food now, especially when it's on the doorstep, this is just what larbert needed, well done team! Read less

This will be the second time I have posted this review. It was flagged as inappropriate by the owner the first time and I failed to confirm so it was removed. I had wondered why it had such high reviews. Bad, really bad I’m not sure what the others reviewing this place have been smoking but it’s clearly not legal. The food is abysmal. Lots of family and friend reviews I imagine. Dated decor and food that’s unremarkable, bland and clearly from the freezer. Dutch inn 2.0 Anyone that has the slightest knowledge of food please avoid. Any chef that uses Physalis as a “decoration” shouldn’t be in the kitchen. I’m embarrassed for them

Took my daughter (21) ish for birthday meal and drinks. Fillet steaks for both. Food and service were fantastic. I like my steak well done and through experience I know some chefs don’t like this. However it was cooked to perfection and much appreciation to the waiting staff who were so attentive.

Absolutely stunning food, friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. Not just your usual pub fare - the food was so fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Had an amazing meal and drinks here with friends recently. Had chargril chicken done on the grill which was cooked to perfection followed by home made lemon cheesecake which was devine. Drinks were fab too - recommend the Seville Orange G&T. Would recommend this place.
