The Station Hotel in Shropshire

It would of been nice to have a bar like in the pictures, but was closed . You get booked in on the pavement? No reception, no dining, no staff. This is NOT a hotel, it's a room with an aged bathroom, clean I must add. The kettle is on a base and did not stop boiling, you have to pick it up and off, but was far too hot to do so had to unplug it. The room was small , big bed ,not much space. This place does not at all fit the description advertised, a phone number in place for emergency. But is right opposite to the railway a plus . Will not stay here again .

Me and my sister stayed here over the weekend- we travelled from Glasgow on the Thursday night and arrived in Shrewsbury at 7am on the Friday- at half 11 we called to try our luck and see if we could check in as check In was 3pm and we where exhausted, got told to call back at 2pm but within 10 minutes of hanging the phone up we was called to say our room was ready, greeted with Amanda at the front door and shown to our room! A few bits wrong in the room I.e our sink was cracked and the curtain rail wasn’t in the wall properly. We could still use the sink and still able to close the curtains. I must say though the bed was the comfiest bed I think I’ve ever had in a hotel and the pressure of the shower was fantastic! Will be back next year

Excellent value for money Great location close to the centre of town

I'm very disappointed. The information and pictures of this location dud not meet expectations. Although it shows facilities bar and food none of this was available. There was a notice on the entrance to ring a number and someone would come to us, which they did, but we were let into a hallway, handed over keys, asked to pay and were left to find our rooms by ourselves.

Could really do with updating but bed was clean and comfortable ok for real budget hotel

Giving a 5 star due to good price and location and last minute booking. The room was a decent size, as was the bathroom. Comfy bed. Clean enough for the price. Towels and shower gels provided . Room 9, 2nd floor, we both got a good night's sleep, both nights at weekend
