Excellent, Excellent festive lunch and looked after by the staff so well. Apparently we were their first festive lunch this year - well if that's the start don't know how they could improve - brilliant, thank you.

We had the 3 roast lunch(beef turkey and pork) and the Vegetarian Mushroom Wellington. Not huge portions but tasty,well worth the money and served hot. Staff friendly and polite;and welcoming to dogs a bonus.

Great food and very reasonable prices maybe this would have been the best place to visit with children but I would return if in the area again

Well it has its ups and downs. Went in for lunch and it was busy so didn't think much about wait times for food and it wasn't that bad tbf. The food though was missing a few ingredients from one dish and one of the kids chicken breast burgers looked really ropey so that was left. When we got there the tables were unclean so we asked at the bar if someone wouldn't mind wiping them over because there were no napkins anywhere and we were met wit a huff and felt that we had annoyed the server a lot for this reasonable request. She then flipped a cloth across the table flicking bits if food onto the floor and left abruptly without a word. She slammed a sauce caddy down on our table without a word also. There was no one to ask about the food issue and there was a rather long wait for the kids for their dessert which we had to ask for. We just wanted to go in for a bite to eat and ended up spending over an hour there mostly feeling a bit in the way. There was a couple of lovely servers, the place has a nice enough vibe and the live music and football entertained us so not all bad. Just bad food and unfortunate service. Also the mayo was well out of date- the sticker that they put on there showed that.. the server also cheered up a bit towards the end and was a bit more friendly and apologetic about the food. The dessert was good. Dunno it was a bit of a roller coaster honestly! I'd give it another go another day. The prices were alright.

Pop in here quite regularly now with my best mate (and sometimes her kids), but also my mum and nanna. Always really great service from all of the staff (only caught Char’s name though sorry) and the food is quite good too. Nice relaxed atmosphere during the day, and can get a bit more lively in the evenings.

Popped in for lunch recently, All three of us in our party really enjoyed our food so no complaints there, even better was there selection of ales at the bar, I love craft beer and IPAs and there was a few to choose from, Charmain behind the bar was very pleasant and knowledgeable in helping me choose, a real credit to the place, we will definitely be visiting again.

Chose the venue because we'd been before 5 years ago. A meeting with friends we hadn't seen for 5 years. A Sunday so my husband and I had a Turkey roast. It was awful .When the plate was put in front of me it looked disgusting. As if it had been under the hot plate for 2 hours waiting for someone to order it .My husband ate his as he was so hungry ,I left most of my dried up food .Beef gravy was served with turkey .Our friends chose differently and said it was OK. I felt ashamed to have chosen the place .Not a good experience!!!

Ordered rump steak meal for me, and chicken chips and peas for my mum. Waited nearly an hour for service, even though there were only a handful of people in the pub at the time. My mum (79 years old and barely able to walk), went to the bar to ask where the food was, and the staff completely ignored her and served several people before her - even serving others that came to the bar after her first. Meal eventually arrived. Steak was like boot leather, chicken overcooked which my mum had great difficulty in cutting, peas were like solid plasticine. Peppercorn sauce was almost non-existent. Left over half of my steak. No wonder it was empty when every other food serving pub is packed. Should have gone on my instincts and avoided this place. Terrible

I had a roast Sunday dinner in the station hotel. It was one of the best roasts I've had. It was very tasty and agood portion. Very well priced. The staff are really pleasant, who go beyond to help. The prices are very reasonable. I would like to thank all the staff for there service.

A great find. We had five plates of food for 12.99. The small plates offer. Well worth the money. We will be back for a meal next week.
