If you are after few drinks and food this place is a great. Plenty of parking spaces and beer is fresh clean pipes and adequate fizz. Get suggestions from the chef for what is best today. Clean tidy place and there is a grand garden...

We went as a couple and enjoyed the friendly relaxed atmosphere. The barmaid was extremely friendly and took our orders promptly. The food pricing was good and the food was delivered hot and to a very good standard. We will definitely be going back

The Stag Country Pub and Dining Wexham Street, Slough Looks ok from the outside and nicely decorated inside. Had reasonable drinks & food myself but wife's Steak was not so good completely overcooked & was invaded by some visitors who overran the place.

After come to the stag for the past few years and being slightly disappointed each time, this visit, I assume under new management has been fantastic! The service has been friendly and personable. The food was absolutely outstanding and had great reviews from every one of us! All at very reasonable prices! Would now recommend the Stag to everyone and anyone. With a play area in the garden it's even good for kids! Highly recommend!

The venue is ideally placed along the main road taking you from Slough to all the surrounding villages and is not far from Fulmer and Stoke Poges. The building looks rather drab, reminiscent of an old man's working club, but thankfully the interior was really well designed and the décor was nice. The bar area is well positioned and laid out really well. It was a shame that there were some chavs drinking outside the front door which made the establishment look initially really undesirable. The Landlady and barmaid were super friendly and took our order. The venue had a good selection of ales and beers on draught. The service was really pleasant. The seating area outside at the back is plentiful and there is more than enough space to accommodate droves of people. The menu had a fair range of regular pub grub but it would be inaccurate to suggest that it was in any way a fine dining experience. The meals were fine but the portions were rather small considering the prices were all around the ten pounds mark. The booths/ partitioned seating areas were a nice feature as were some of the period features that were inside the building. We were asked whether the meals were okay and we were acknowledged as we left, which was a really nice professional and courteous touch. Some of the clientele in the venue are a little untoward with gossipy gaggles of young women and chavs swilling pints. The atmosphere is relatively relaxed.

Nice venue, great garden, friendly staff. Toilets could be cleAner and ladies toilet needs a seat. Food is average and takes a very long time to arrive. Portions are very small. There is a new menu however the size and quality is smart as previous.There is also a lot of flies which I have noticed on a number of occasions. This can be very annoying whilst eating and especially leaving food uncovered.

Fantastic service, I found the staff to be very welcoming and friendly. Prompt delivery of drinks and really lovely food. I didn't find anything suitable for me on the menu because of multiple food intolerances but the staff very kindly put together my special meal request for me so that I could join in with my family for dinner. Very well priced & a lovely garden. I would recommend.

Decals all over menu "out of item" for staple items like rice, etc!Kitchen staff bamboozled with 4 tickets, murmuring what to do.1 dish delivered every 10-15 minutes Twice delivered a dish we didn't order3 servings took 42 minutes 1 dish barely cookedThis WAS a lovely place for a Turkish kebab done well.Now sitting at home with off taste in mouth burping bad meal.Ever so sad to say AVOID, but that's how we all felt.

I could not recommend The Stag too much, everything was excellent. They took into account everything we asked for and much more, we were a gathering of around 40 people and everyone independently said how good the food was. I will be returning for a sit down meal, which I am looking forward too.Thanks to Arlene, Helen and the team who all worked hard to get it not only right, but perfect.

We visited the pub on a Monday night, it being our local and we hadn't been in since it was under new management. Despite there being a handful of people in the pub, our main course took some time to come out. We ordered the lamb shanks and the chicken burger as well as the garlic mushrooms. The mushrooms came out on a bed of what seemed a couple of days old lettuce and the main courses were lukewarm. The chicken burger was raw in the middle and when returned to the bar, I refused the offer of another burger and the bartender by the name of Kully simply told the waitress to refund the money. When we asked to contact the owners of the pub so that we could provide feedback, Kully quite simply said 'ring in the morning'. We were also told that the staff had checked the chicken in the burger and 'the reading showed it wasn't raw'. Clearly the pub didn't need the custom of lying customers. A very disappointing visit. The new owners really need to think about the service provided by their staff and also the quality of their food to truly attract the local custom which they have seemed to have lost. Not a great place.

I used to like the pub/restaurant, service seemed to always have its problems but he food made up for it & I reviewed this place before with good results. Went there on Saturday ordered a lasagna & mixed grill, the lasagna arrived so dry I couldn't eat it, cold plate of chips and a saucer with a tiny bit of salad, they totally forgot my husbands food. When we went up to the bar to complain, the young lady shrugged her shoulders, went into the kitchen came back & said I'll take it off the bill?? Sorry but it's the end for this pub, shame!!!

I have visited The Stag on many occasions, and every visit does not fail to please. The service is fantastic and the staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. The food is great value for money and I recommend the Vegetable Lasagne! It is a lovely atmosphere for family and friends as the environment is very pleasant. There is an outdoors garden area with seating which is ideal, especially on a nice day. I would highly recommend The Stag for dining and drinking as it is suitable for everyone.

Went to the Stag pub for a friends birthday what he booked out for it,staff unfriendly and as for the prices unbelievable £5 for a vodka that tasted very week all served in a plastic cup!!

Booked a table ahead although no need to as very quiet mid week . Saw waitress that did not smile nor was very welcoming. Should of left then however continued. Got colder and colder. Food arrived and was ok, not good, In fact felt unwell afterwards, must of been from eating too fast to get out before we froze!!!!Not looking to return

I have been several times to this pub. The staff are efficient but can't be called friendly (the lady behind the bar not the type to strike up conversation with). The food is decent however terribly overpriced. The restaurant always seems quiet which doesn't make for much of an atmosphere more of a funny feeling that u are keeping this place open. The lager is good with a good range comfortable chairs and a nice fire place. The drinks are priced well with the rest of the area so overall a nice pub to have a couple of drinks in from time to time.

I visited here with my brother and dad, open entry I noticed it offered it was nice and warm and smelled pleasantly of smoked charcoal coming from a fire or the kitchen. The pub seemed very clean well looked after, it offered a very relaxing feel to have a beer. The Turkish food was excellent very fresh and tasted very good. It's located very close to Wexham Park hospital, I would visit here again and recommend it to friends.

Really cant fault the food but should think about a lunch deal as could work out expensive when you work at the hospital and want a cheap lunch

As we were visiting Pinewood Studios nearby, and needed a proper lunch that would last us all day, we thought we'd try this restaurant which was recommended. We had a great lunch of well cooked Turkish food in the unusual setting of a country pub. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and our meal was rounded off by the best baklava I've ever had,(light and delicious). It had been made by one of the owners that morning. Ref a previous comment about exorbitant beer prices, a pint of draft Caledonian XPA was £4.00. .

We were recommended to this place for the Turkish food & have visited twice. On our first visit on a Sunday-early evening, it was almost deserted but it was raining heavily. We had a drink each & looked over the menu. I asked the chef a few questions & he sent over a complimentary starter & then we added a couple more. These dishes were delicious. We returned 2 weeks ago and had a full meal. WOW, everything was just lovely. we were pleased to see the place buzzing with people of all ages, eating in the garden-nice day this time-at some bar tables & most of the restaurant was full. The waiting staff were all very friendly & pleasant, however, the service is a tad slow. We didn't mind as we were not in a hurry but we could understand how some may have got iritated by this. I asked about their food being made on the premises & we were assured that everything is prepared & cooked in their kitchen, the only items reheated would be casserole/moussaka but they make their own, it is not prepackaged fayre as we so often get served these days, so I expect that service will take a bit longer than other places. It was all worth the wait & I would recommend this place when you are in the Slough/Uxbridge area.

Looking for something different? Here is a great location for good Turkish food in a very family friendly pub. Loved the kebabs - very tasty and served piping hot from the charcoal grill! My friends' lamb shank, mousaka and prawns looked good as well. A plate of cold starters made for a flavoursome and fun beginning to the meal. If I have to make a small improvement the pide bread would have been served warmer. Staff were lovely, attentive and very flexible and patient. thank you for a great evening.

We live locally and come here often for the food. The lamb is so fresh, and consistently tasty! It was taken over by a Turkish owner, who really put effort into creating the menu and they take great pride in this.In the sunshine, the garden has sun all day long, and with a kiddy area its family fun too.Its a proper pub, with a unusal menu at good prices so I would recommend giving it a try!

Very tasty cold starters, and the vegetable and lamb moussakas and the prawns baked with vegetables were particularly good. Friendly and helpful service. Nice dining area with a garden at the back.

It's expensive ! £7.50 for a pint of beer ?? Wouldn't return when there's another pub down the rd (500 metres) selling same beer for half the price ! Staff also very unfriendly when asked about price - Please read and change pricing and train staff to smile atleast mr manager/owner

Yes it was tidy, yes the staff seemed polite. However, we questioned something on the menu and the girl new as little as us. She did go off to ask but when she got back said that she had forgotten! 2 of our group gambled with a dish and lost. When the waitress took our plates away she asked how it was, and was told awful (this reffered to a chicken dish that sits on yogurt and torn bread). No starters, 4 mains and 4 deserts. Add 2 pints of shandy and some soft drinks, £98.50.

The Stag is a pub/eatery local to us. We visited last year (2014) a couple of times. Then we found the food to be good quality, and the owners to be very friendly and helpful. The only real moans we could have was with choice of plates for the starters (basically they are saucers!) and the waiting staff. They removed the finished starters whilst my wife was still eating hersWe visited again yesterday, July 19th 2015. Oh dear. Service was poor. The waiting staff ignored me at the bar. The owner served me eventually. I wanted drinks first. Large bottle of sparkling water - sorry we've run out. Start a tab - no, not if you are outside (I guess that is fair enough). Read menu outside, and came back to order. 3 starters, 2 kebabs, and a burger - £54. Not cheapStarters arrived, and were litterally plonked down on the table, nothing was said, and the waitress walked off. No knives and forks. None came. We had to go inside and find them. I don't mind finding my own cutlery, but since you are paying top prices you expect that they could at least bring it to the table - or at least make it obvious you have to collect it yourself.Again the starters were on the saucers. Such a poor way to serve the food. Anyway, the food itself was very nice. They gave us a bowl of pitta bread which we shared. They had done the same the year before. We finished the starters and the breadThe mains arrived, and this time a different waitress did at least speak to me, asking if we wanted any chilli sauce, and I said yes. There was no offer of salt, or vinegar for my son's chips (with his burger)This time, they didn't even bother taking the starter plates away! My mixed kebab was dry - lucky I had the chilli sauce to liven it up. My wife's veggie kebab was mostly peppers, just one piece of tomato. My son liked his burger and chips (adult portion) - I saw a another family's children's portion and it was considerably smaller - they were offered mayo, vinegar, and ketchup with theirs!!The promised open air bar at the end of the garden was also not present, and the car park was beginning to look over grown at the edges. Wasps were also having a lovely time annoying everyoneThis place could so easily be brilliant. I could fix it in one afternoon. Sack the waiting staff for a start. Bring cutlery with the food. Remember to offer ketchup etc, and clear plates away when every diner has finished that course. Get some sparkling water. Offer pitta bread with the mains. Then it may be worth the money they charge for the foodWill I go back? Probably, yes, but if it is the same as this visit, then the next will be my last

Lovely pub with a lovely bar and garden. Food is really tasty I love the mezze and mixed kebab. Came here for Christmas day last year and was lovely. Plan to come back this year. Give it a try.

It is a legal requirement for restaurants to know what allergens are present in their food. My waiter (who I suspect was the manager) clearly had no idea, and when my 'gluten free' moussaka came it was with couscous (wheat), and had soy sauce on the plate (unlikely to be gluten free). I think the gravy in the moussaka contained gluten.Not only was my food poisonous, it also had cold spots in because it hadn't been microwaved for long enough.

It was a quiet evening. The service could not have been better, and food was v. good with generous portions.

Our booking was for a party of nine for a Birthday Celebration, the food was excellent and very tasty and the service was faultless . All courses arrived hot and arrived at the same time, no one was left waiting, The staff were very warm and welcoming which added the final touch to a perfect evening. My wife, daughter and I took our dogs for a nice walk in Black Park and decided to go for a drink in a local pub.We had only driven up the road a mile or do and came across The Stag. It looked an impressive place in a lovely location and we're pleasantly surprised that we could have our dogs with us in the beer garden.Whilst having that drink we were tempted to have a meal by the lovely smell coming from the BBC / Grill .The building looks like a country pub from the outside but is quite posh inside. The restaurant is very nice and light and the music from the bar is not too loud to disturb you. Our food was cooked to perfection, the lamb and chicken both very tender.The prawns with roasted vegetables was a little oily but was very tasty have read the other reviews and yes the waitress first language not English and she did take my wife and my plates away before my daughter had finished eating. Just a small training need really.There were 3 of us and had starter and main course each and drinks for £60 so not too pricey really. Will definately go back again hopefully on an evening when it's warm enough to eat outside in the lovely beer garden.

First impressions were very good. Plenty of parking, large beer garden in sun, clean premises. On entering, the dining and bar areas very posh and clean. Shown to table and served by Turkish waitress who spoke little English saying she had been in UK for two days. Not a problem, drinks ordered and very nice Argentillian white wine. On ordering, tried to explainthat our daughter has a nut allergy ..... (not good) trying to ask whether the food choices were suitable. Order placed on safe side with salad for daughter but minutes later with the drinks, came a packet of peanuts! Nooooo. Main courses came and shish kebabs were excellent as were chips, salds and humous. Two of us had finished but daughter still eating when the waitress started clearing the table. Then we were left for ages (over 20 mins) waiting to ask for bill which finally arrived, gave cash but never saw change.Overall, nice food, nice decor, nice facilities but left down by service (and lack of English).Kebab meals around £10.50. Most other dishes £9 - £14.

Setting itself up as a Turkish/Mediterranean Restaurant. Food not bad but prices a bit steep for what it is.

I've been quite a few times since this started offering Turkish food and to start it was great. Now however, apparently the chef has changed and even the waiter sympathised when we left the food and acknowledged the food wasn't great!What a shame as there's not a decent Middle Eastern/Turkish/Greek restaurant for miles.Interior nice, service ok and they also have live music at the weekend, just a shame the food's letting them down.

Was looking forward to trying this restaurant with my family, the restaurant itself is nicely decorated, still has that pub feel to it, sadly that's the only positive thing I can say.On entering we were seated and the first thing we noticed is the huge increase in price to the Menu we had posted through our door last year, all of our orders were taken, one of the starters arrived and that was it, we were a party of 8, while the rest of us waited for the rest of the starters the waitress came up with a main course, we said we haven't had our starters yet, it just went from bad to worse, "seasoned fries" that would mean Oven chips then! , luke warm food and chewy, fatty lamb, Someone asked for mayonnaise & ketcup , they were handed 1 little sachet of each, at these prices you would expect condiments on the table, we had so many problems we asked to speak to the manager, well .. Very Rude and unhelpful , I have never had such bad attitude from a manager,when we looked at our bill we had also been over charged, would I return ? NEVER!! Well done to the waitress's who were trying to put things rite and apologised.

The Menu price list on their website is out of date. Some items are £5.00 dearer on the menu when we arrived. Very misleading !

My friend and I went for dinner in this pub, with a new restaurant which serves Turkish food.On entering the restaurant at 8 pm, there was only one other couple there. This did not phase me at all, and in fact I enjoy an empty restaurant!The service was pleasant, but even though the restaurant was empty, the server was rushing us, we felt. Clearing dishes before we finished.........we were feeling a little hassled!Now to the food: The starters were very good. The mains of lamb shish was a lovely plate of food with salad, and rice. But the lamb was very gristly...and obviously of rather poor quality.My friend's pud was good, but mine was inedible. I did mention it, but didn't receive an apology, or indeed have the price of the dud pud docked from the bill, which I would expect.All in all then it was a mixed bag. I would return, but I now know what NOT to order on the menu!

I come today with my family for a roast and I would say it wasn't amazing. The food they had bought out was cold. My Yorkshire pudding was like a pancake not even a Yorkshire pudding and the potatoes tasted like they were cooked the day before ready for Christmas. I wish I had stayed at home as my potatoes would of been crispier. Not impressed at all. Felt rushed when I come in and felt rushed out. Orders was all wrong awell and not professional. I think next year they should stick to doing Turkish food not trying to do traditional an English roast.

Second visit to the Stag for us last night, not through choice as it was a friends birthday. Our first visit in the summer left us disappointed as the food was of a poor standard, served cold and quite bland, however, last nights experience topped that, my starter did not arrive with every one else's when it did I was told it takes longer to prepare, it was cold, my partners hot starter should also have been on the cold starter menu. Lamb shank main course sounded nice, however mine was missed of the order and I was offered a wait of 30 minutes, three others who ordered the same said that it was served cold with a jug of gravy that must have only just been taken from the fridge, needless to say, I cancelled my order. Not a Turkish delight ! We will not return.

My family go to this place all the time and have an awesome time so this time I went with them to see what it was all about. Have to say I'm very impressed. Best Turkish BBQ I've ever had. Love the fact that they have the different meats on display at the counter. My meal was amazing it was so tasty and the lamb was cooked perfectly. Will definitely be returning and will be recommending to friends and family. Well done to The Stag!!

I have been many times to Stag, we have always received excellent service from Ozzy and his staff, delicious food. recommended to everyone. well done to management of this restaurant.

I just seen a review saying old pub was better, I should say to that person have a reality check mate old pub was horrible without any quality food, I have been living in the area last 20 years and this is the best pub I have ever visited since we lived here, it;s a smart and lovely decorated pub and Ozzy and his staff very friendly and attentive, food is great and the prices are very reasonable.I am so glad such a great restaurant nearby us to visit.

Group of 4 of us went here last Saturday, 15th November, the couple we went with have been here before, but for us it was a first. The service was great, the waitress and restaurant manager were very attentive, the restaurant was not that busy during our visit, he recommended a main course for me as I couldn't decide. Food was served promptly and was very fresh and full of flavour. We all enjoyed our food and had a fab evening, we will be going back in the next couple of weeks as we loved it. Live music was a nice addition, the female singer was very good. Food was also reasonably priced so good value for money.Thanks :)

Under new management now and is absolutely awful. I have visited several times previously and it was lovely so came back with my family for my mums birthday and the new staff are terrible. They do not fully understand English and got several things wrong with our order despite us explaining and double checking our order. My mums food did not arrive and we were then told the waitress had not ordered that meal, we did not even get an apology. Around us I could hear similar mistakes at other tables- the table next to is received the wrong order and another table asked what one of the dishes was as one of their party had a gluten intolerance and the waitress did not understand and had to call her manager. Overall, incompetent staff, rude management who could not even apologise when in the wrong and food not up to scratch. Definitely will not be coming back.

My wife, our four year old boy and her parents dropped in for a drink after Remembrance Sunday and decided to stay and eat, the manager, owners and staff were as always delightful and the food was really good.This is very much a family pub now and has changed dramatically from its former drab interior. We also went to the Hallowe'en evening there and the pub was well decorated to the theme. A lot of effort goes into events here and I can recommend it to anyone who has some idea of standards

Very tasty food well presented and plenty of it. Lovely and clean resturant, the staff were attentive but not over bearing, I went on a Tuesday evening not many people there but it was a very rainy cold evening. The resturant felt cold and I needed to keep my jacket on.I will certainly go again.

We went here one cold Sunday afternoon as we fancied something different to eat and saw the sign outside re the new Turkish menu. We were greeted warmly when we came in, given a choice of a couple of tables by the fireside, and then brought our drinks promptly. The food was well prepared, very tasty and well priced.

first the chair collapsed ... The place is brightly lit with fluorescent energy saving light bulbs. No atmosphere...The menu is hard to understand.. The waitress inattentive and could not explain the food choices..Starter... Garlic mushrooms.. Poor, rubber, bland old mushrooms served on a small plate of mixed salad.Oily humus and cold flat bread.My main was good... Mixed kebab. The wife.. Moussaka ..was ok.One our our guest got the wrong meal served and in the end waited so long that she got no meal at all because she cancelled after waiting another 30 mins .. Everyone else had finished..Oh and they rocked up with the mains without clearing the staters away first....They need to learn how to run a restaurant. Not a kebab van.

Four of us visited on a Friday night. It was very busy so we were glad we had booked a table. First impressions were very good. The recent refurbishment has been carried out to a very high standard. The garden in particular looks beautiful.The menu is prominently Turkish with some European dishes: fish and meat. We made our choices and ordered our drinks to the fairly disinterested waitress. Everything arrived quickly despite the fact that the restaurant was very busy. The food was ok, nothing very special. It took forever for our plates to be taken away afterwards, I always hate it when this happens. The waitress seemed cross when we brought this to her attention! We ordered desert. The ice cream was absolutely delicious, the best I have had for ages. My friends desert, the baklava, was tiny. Two very small pieces for £4. Not worth it. Wont be going back!

Four of us visited on 11th October for a first time visit and were very impressed upon arrival by the beautiful decor and layout. We were really excited to try the food which unfortunately did not live up to expectations. The prawn cocktail starter contained, tasteless, rubbery prawns which were still frozen in the middle and the whole dish was heavily laden with hot chilli which was not advertised on the menu. Main course lamb chops were a big hit with 2 of our party, but the lamb moussaka grossly overpriced at nearly £12 was inedible due to a thick layer of I presume potato which was totally burnt and to solid to through it. Saturday nights are obviously not the best time to visit as we were served our starters and then had to wait for cutlery. Our main courses were delivered without the starters being cleared and again we had to wait for cutlery. There was an obvious lack of staff during our visit. We left straight after the main course as it was extremely crowded and we couldn't hold a conversation due to the loud 'banter' from other tables and the music which was getting louder. Having now checked their Food & Hygiene rating via the scoresonthedoors website and seeing they have a very low score of 2 following a recent inspection, we will definitely not be returning.

If you like Turkish food then go here, a great pub with good beer and friendly staff. We went on a Thursday lunchtime, sat in the large garden and had our splendid Turkish delights, it is very rare to find places that cook Turkish food unless it's a kebab shop.Inside the pub has been decorated smartly and the food was brought out into the open plan kitchen for all to see, fresh and tasty looking, they cook it on an open BBQ for you to watch if you really want. I started with the stuffed vine leaves, followed by the Halep lamb which is kofte and shish served on a pitta with tomato sauce and melted butter mmmmm you won't be ordering this at midnight after 8 pints of lager!!!Go and try it

Went to this restaurant/pub with my family, after driving past one day and seeing that they now had traditional Turkish food. I usually drive to the Best Mangal in Kensington, but as this was nearer to home we thought we would give it a try. The setting was a surprise and the Pub is a lot nicer inside than it looks from outside. They had a great childrens play area for my 4 year old who loved it. The food was very good, we had the Mixed Meze starter, all served with lovely warm bread and the Liver. All was very nice. We then had a combination of main courses and all were good. I had the mixed kebab and it was great. The kids menu was ok, and my four year old had a tagliatelle which he seemed to enjoy. Good beer selection as well. We had one dessert which was ok. We left feeling very satisfied and full. Nowhere near as good as Best Mangal, but for Slough it was excellent.

we went to the robbie williams tribute on thursday which included a 3 course meal, the meal was really nice, the staff were happy and polite, barstaff the same, the atmosphere was electric robbie williams aka jk was fabulous very entertaining, thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening, even tho the venue was a bit small robbie did a fantastic job of changing all the chairs about moving all the people about to make sure we all had a great time, fun laughter and dancing , excellent, well done many more to come i hope............ phil & jacky

Went for a night out at The stag as they where holding a Robbie Williams night. I found the night to be very disappointing,the staff where rude and very un helpful, The food was disgusting, I had the chicken kebab to find it wasn't cooked properly and was still raw on parts. When I told my waitress that it wasn't cooked properly she replied with " well the rest of it is fine to eat" I was very sick the next day. Half way through are Robbie experience one of the bar staff came over and demarned we paid are food bill straight away. We paid are bill along with a complaint about the food and overall experance, The manger got very angry and wouldn't listen to the facts of the night. We left straight away. Overall the night was very disappointing and we won't be returning to be poisoned again.

I went to the Stag last night and although I'd heard good things I wasn't expecting just how good the food was.This is still very much a pub with a dining area rather than a restuarant but the standard of the meal we had was flawless, as good as any Turkish or Middle Eastern meal we've had in the West End at three times the price.If I had a moan it would only be that the size of the starter, the sharing meze, was so generous that I barely had room for my lamb chops and with hindsight I'd have just had a simpler starter.Service was friendly and polite and the bill was surprisingly small.I will definitely be going again.

Had a surprise visit from 4 relatives and they fancied nipping out for a meal with me. Drove past 2 pubs and saw the Stag, stopped in to see and evaluate, female at bar very pleasant and welcoming, showed me menu and we decided to stay. Given a table by the window, menus given and drinks offered. We made our choices, and this was served to us promptly and nicely and we were asked if all was to our satisfaction. Super food, super service, nice decor and not a bad price.

Went for lunch as advertised as a new and local pub with Turkish cuisine speciality.When we visited only one other table vacated so very few customers. Food (Kebabs) was really very good and good value but overall service and ambiance was rather disappointing. The young lady behind the bar had no rapport at all. Never asked whether we were local , nice to see you etc etc Not keen on loud pop musisic with flashing lights playing at lunch time. What was awful was a kitchen member of staff using a strong disinfectant very near to where we were sitting . Smelt terrible - he was cleaning the Restaurant floor at 1 pm with clients sitting nearby !!!!!!

Been here a few times for food,drinks and entertainment. The food is amazing compliments to the chef every time. The staff are all very friendly and its nice to be welcomed with a smile. Entertainment has been spot on every time, I have enjoyed myself at each event I have been to with friends.The Stag has a beautiful outside area for all, as for the décor its modern,fresh and light. Would definitely recommend. Will be going back again and look forward to a warm welcoming each time by all staff and management couldn't fault at all, overall great Country Pub for all.

What a great vibe!!! Amazing venue for all sorts of occasions from family events right through to party animals on a night out! Food is outstanding and a the staff provide a great atmosphere throughout! Especially looking forward to the summer party on the 30th!!!!!!!

Stopped here for dinner with 3 year old food absolutely gorgeous and reasonably priced. Play ground and garden area are lovely ended up staying later than intended due to being made so welcome and son having so much fun! Will definitely be regular visitors :)

This pub has been tastefully refurbished. In its initial months the food was highly recommended. On the first visit the food was cold. The starters were brought out with the main course after waiting for nearly one hour. On giving the pub another chance one main course was brought out the second arriving 15 minutes later. Both were cold on trying to talk to the manager was consistently ignored. Extremely disappointing especially after giving this pub a second chamce

This is a very recently completely refurbished Pub transformed, at no doubt great expense, into a Turkisk cuisine pub/restaurant with take away, theme nights and entertainment. It is spacious and, to be honest, nicely decorated including the large garden. Visited for the first time but was very disappointed. There was only four other customers so service should have been excellent. The barmaid hardly acknowleged us- no conversation whatsoever - like Hello , welcome , is this your first visit etc etc .. The food actually was very good , tasty, ample portions and value for money. What we did not like was the lunch time background flashing lights and disco music ( completely unecessary and very tacky !!!) . What was absolutely awful was that a member of staff decided to clean the restaurant area floor while we were eating and the disinfectant smell was appalling. Even the senior male staff treated us like aliens. Wont be recommending I am afraid which is sad as i believe this site and cuisne would have great potential

Lovely refurbed pub with a great Turkish menu, friendly service and often live music. What more could you want?We stumbled on it by chance after driving passed and seeing the 'Turkish Food' sign. What a great place, even if the nice modern pub decor doesn't quite go with the cuisine. The (family?) running it are so welcoming and the service, food and atmosphere is really family friendly and relaxed.Good food too and really reasonably priced.Definitely recommend and I've been back a few times too!

Eaten here 3 times since the Turkish owners have switched over to a menu true to their roots. So nice to go somewhere and have delicious juicy meat that's not over cooked. We had a cold meze followed by their mixed grill which was plenty for two adults and two children aged 6 and 8. Puddings are not their strong point, the baklava wasn't very good, but the Movenpick ice creams and sorbets were great.Best new thing is that they have had a wooden play area fitted. Everyone is happy. Oh and they do takeaway.

We had been to the stag before but hadn't realised it was now a Turkish eatery. Initially a bit disappointed but ordered the lamb and chicken shish - absolutely delicious with salad, bread and rice. Food was very good and would definitely go back again.

The Stag at Wexham has been totally refurbished - inside and out - to a high standard. Most importantly, the Turkish grill is excellent. We ate on a balmy July evening, and had shared a lovely bottle of wine, whilst smelling the wonderful aromas from the open kitchen. A great selection of dishes - all home made - and everything we had was really tasty. Service was friendly and efficient. The bill at the end was very reasonable. This place would be great for ladies to lunch, as well as satisfying the most carnivorous of partners for dinner. The garden is still being developed, but is already very attractive and also child friendly. We will definitely be visiting again ... and again!

I don t understand some comments about wallpaper and Turkish counter . It's about originality and quality of food with excellent service too. The person who wrote the comment about the wallpaper with horses , would maybe have preferred stags on the wall and rubbish food? Selection of beer is excellent , the food is superior , the staff is friendly and moneywise very convenient as long as the pub is clean who is bothered about horses on the wall !!!!

The Stag at Wexham has been completely revamped and reinvigorated by Tom the landlord. The pub itself has had a complete makeover and is beautifully decorated and has fantastically friendly and enthusiastic staff. My wife and I had supper there on Wednesday16 July and the food was Turkish, beautifully cooked and presented and can be thoroughly recommended. It was a hot balmy night when we dined and with the music and good wine it was like being abroad. Tom has done a fantastic job here and the car park was full. I also know Tom has plans for the garden so it is really family friendly.

Had lunch here with colleagues this week, in the sunshine in the lovely garden. We shared meze between us, the food was really good, excellent choice on the menu. Also good selection of beers & ciders. Service was very good, friendly helpful staff. Very good value for money, £58 for 5 of us. Will be visiting again.

The food was lovely. Decent portions and friendly atmosphere.We went 3 times in one weeks since our friend recommended going there and we are planning to be loyal customers :)Comes highly recommended.

Spur of the moment visit on a friends recommendation. It was like being back in Cyprus! Very polite and friendly staff. I assume the man who is the owner recommended the grill saying it's large enough for two to share. We had a starter and the grill - both of which were great. Very good value for money Food, a bottle of wine and soft drinks for under £40. Will definitely be back soon!

Stopped by the newly opened 'The Stag' in Wexham Street near Fulmer, greeted by the owner and one of his staff with a smile, very nicely refurbished with plenty of space, also the garden area is great for summer evenings.The Turkish food cooked to perfection by expert chef and presented well. We will return again to taste another of the wonderful Turkish dishes. Recommend this restaurant to everyone.

We discovered this charming place by chance and were glad we stopped to have a meal.Here, everything looks new, clean and tidy.First in the garden with the late afternoon sun we had an Ice cold beer, tasty appetizers, a main home made kofte kebabs on the BBQ with rice, fresh salad, bulgur wheat and cool rice pudding to finish - delicious !The cook and Staff were very friendly and definetely we woulld return to try their other signature dishes.We recommend this friendly place to everyone.Thanks guys for your hospitality and courtesy you showed us.

The pub is nicely decorated that is I think what gave this pub above a 1 !! The stag country pub and fine dining ??!! There is a kebab counter in there!! The service was terrible and the manager (ish) looking lady was too busy with her long hair draping around food perpetuation areas to even notice us waiting ! Such a shame I say go to the black horse !!

We went in for an anniversary meal - 5 adults. Determined to have an easy family meal. The menu was simple, but great for a recently reopened restaurant. The staff were really helpful and although the serving staff weren't up to speed they really were very helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. They didn't know what the soup of the day and forgot to bring sugar with teas and coffees, but these are little things and I'm sure they will be ironed out. The food was brilliant. I would have liked to have seen some local produce and maybe some specials which change regularly, I hope that its absence is just a start up issue, I hope it will come. But saying that the food was great, the portions generous and totally delicious. We had a variety of different things, the creamy mushrooms were a real hit and the steak was amazing! Tender and juicy - complements to the chef. Deserts were equally wonderful and the ice cream was something special. With various offers to encourage local business we will deffinately be back.

Have visited twice since the refurb. Lovely to see the pub not losing out to housing development. The food was good and surroundings were pleasant. Staff need further training in serving and being aware of the items on the menu i.e. whats the soup of the day. Generally good but needs to refine the attention yo detail if it wants a full house.
