Plenty of free parking and a lovely sylvan location. The cafe is very popular with golfers and walkers. A reasonable number of tables, some with comfortable seats. It's waiter service and seating. Very polite and friendly staff, quick service and they were busy! A bright and modern building with glass 'walls' and great views of the golf course. Prices were fine and the food was good.

We were a mixed bunch of baby, dog, pensioners and younger family members. But on entertaining the cafe we were warmly greated and taken to a table. The food was delicious and wait times were not long. The staff were so attentive to my little girl and by brother in laws puppy. So lovely to feel so welcome, when usually having a dog and baby in a restaurant can feel so stressful. We will definitely be back!

Lovely place but poor service with no management systems in place. Waited 30 minutes for coffee and scones which they meantime sold to someone else. Basic processes should not allow this when a customer has already paid. Won’t rush back which is a shame.

What a wonderful time we had at The Stables Cafe for Afternoon Tea. We hired the venue for 26 people so we could have a get together to welcome our new grandson. Catriona and her staff were at their best (as always) and had everything prepped and sorted for us coming in. Asking at all times what we needed and making sure my youngest daughter (who has autism) was ok throughout the day. The food was delightful and the venue is nothing short of stunning for such an occasion. We sat on the terrace at the end, sitting in the sun watching the husbands playing golf, just in time to take us all home. Catriona could not have done any more for us and for that we are really grateful. She really is a valued member of staff in there. The venue is stunning, the staff are amazing and the food is delightful.

This is a nice place, but let down by poor service. We began to feel as though we were invisible as others were served around us, but staff ignored us.

Terribly disorganised! We asked for coffees at the counter but were asked to sit at a table. 15/20 mins later no-one had taken our order but umpteen other people had been served at the counter. Lady was unapologetic so won't be back.

Visited today with friends for lunch. There were signs on the tables telling us kitchen was closed Monday and Tuesday but sandwiches, soup etc still available. We were happy with this as we didn't want a big lunch. However the waitress came over and told us that there would be no food served at all and advised us to go next door to the golf club lounge. They were selling food however it was very basic food compared to the menu in the Stables. Food adequate however afterwards we decided to go back through to the Stables for coffee and cake. When we went to order we were told they had no cakes but they could go next door to clubhouse (to where we were for lunch) and bring some scones through. 3 friends had scones and coffee and I had a pre packaged piece of carrot cake which when it arrived it said was gluten free...I would've preferred the staff member told me that at time of ordering. I also ordered a glass of tap water which was luke warm to drink. The whole experience was disappointing and I wouldn't be tempted to go back any time soon.

Popped in after taking the littles ones to the park. Friendly welcoming staff. We had breakfast babs with coffee. The little ones ice lollies, of course. Great food and service. Would recommend.

We popped in here for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were great, very welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious and reasonably priced too. The cafe is dog friendly with inside and outside seating available. Our dogs were even treated to some sausages by the staff. We definitely will be back!

Terrible service. Multiple tables needing to be cleared. We ordered and waited!!!!.......and waited........and waited. Other people arrived after us & were served. 4 staff. No organisation, no leadership. Other people asking how to order & over heard others asking where there order was as they had waited so long.

I've been to both these golf cafés several times, and the food and drink is consistently good. This visit was no different in that regard, though it was spoiled by the most miserable customer service I've ever experienced. This was totally unalike any previous visit, and a very unpleasant surprise. I've never been served by this joyless and ill-mannered senior waitress before - and I hope and trust I won't be served by her again.

Visited yesterday. Was so impressed we went back today. Good food, including kids menu, very reasonably priced. Clean and tidy and nothing was too much trouble for the staff even down to refilling a water dish for the dog. 10/10.

We popped in for a quick coffee after a busy morning at the park. What a surprise!! It’s beautiful inside with oak beams and very spacious! After seeing the menu, we decided to have lunch and it was delicious! The haggis panini is perfect and the kids had pick plates (which they wolfed down!) The staff are lovely with fantastic customer service and are very friendly! We will definitely return!! Thanks guys

The recently opened Stables cafe and visitor hub in Belleisle park has been constructed using stone from the original stables block. Inside there is an impressive oak frame and lots of glass to admire the view over Belleisle golf course and watch the world go by. Tea and a BLT sandwich was served by welcoming staff who seemed happy to be there. Personally I think the design/style and materials used in this building would make a great starting point for a replacement Ayr railway station...just my thoughts 🙂

Had lunch here on a quiet Wednesday afternoon. Sits on a busy corner of the main street but once inside it opens into a bar area and good restaurant area and garden overlooking the river( and boatyard). Menu has a good selection of classic pub food. Took a little time for our meal to arrive but as is was freshly made this was not a problem. The boatyard burger was one of the best burgers I have had in years and my wife was delighted with the chicken pie with mash and fresh veg. The chef knows how to cook!! If you are in Girvan this place is worth a visit for the food and the view.

Drove to Dobbie's for lunch at 1pm today. The roll and sandwich counter was busy as usual, but the hot food counter was empty, I liked the look of the cauliflour cheese, a waited to be served, and waited, and waited. To my left people were being served, to my right ( coffee point) people we being served, i made a point of looking like I would like to be served, i noticed a staff member or possibly the cafe boss made a great job of ignoring me as she wandered backward and forth several times. Eventually I gave up, I shan't be going to Debbie's Ayr any more.
