Fantastic tasting menu, nothing the fault the service and staff were very professional, served approx 60 people very efficiently, would definitely recommend.

Amazing food staff and location. 60 of us had an amazing evening at The Stables have a taster menu. Great value, and the food and wines were excellent. Then there's the staff, each and every one of them looked after us all in such a professional and friendly way making the evening even more memorable. This is our 3rd such dinner at The Stables and we will definitely be back.

Recently attended a taster evening with a group of friends and cant praise The Stables enough.Both the food and staff were excellent. The venue itself is an amazing place for a function too. Waiting now for the next one.

We were looking for a nice place locally to bring 22 of our friends for lunch - nice meaning…where we knew the location was lovely, ambiance was classy and food and service excellent. We had visited Stables as a couple before and been very impressed but even though we had seen events happening which looked awesome, we had never experienced one. Had an initial conversation with Ellie to outline our needs and it was an easy commitment to make. Ellie made the conservatory available for our 22 guests and on the day we literally could not have asked for more! Service and attention to our group by Debra, Laura and Sam was outstanding, food was amazing and even for such a large group was brought to the table soon after arrival and everyone was hugely impressed, with some in our group now considering holding their own family celebrations at the Stables. Amazing lunch and thanks to an awesome team of people who really understand what it means to be customer-focused….

We hired The Stables as a venue for our son's first birthday. In the run up to the event, we had the pleasure of meeting with Andrew who helped us arrange everything. The whole event went smoothly and the support we had on the day from Andrew was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble for him and his team. It's worth noting the bar staff were all excellent and all super friendly too. It was such an important event and thanks to Andrew/his team, it couldn't have gone better. Thank you!

We hired the conservatory and the Perone room for my mother-in-laws 80th Birthday party for 60 guests. After a slightly frustrating wait to get in and set up, everything went very well. We had provided our own outside catering (Hog Roast) but we had staff come in regularly to take drink orders. The staff were efficient and friendly. The Perone room is lovely with the wood burner going, very welcoming! We had plenty of room for all of our guests as we also hired the large conservatory. I would certainly recommend as a venue.

Private room for 16 of us. Christmas meal.The room was freezing some of us sat at the table in our coats or scarves over our legs. There was a wood burner which was not man enough to warm the room nor I suspect was lit early enough. Several staff made several attempts to put the radiators on but to no avail. I wonder if they actually ever work or they'd have been long before we arrived. Starters were ok although my brioche was dry. Main meal veg consisted of a minute portion shredded yes shredded sprouts one piece of roasted carrot and one piece of parsnip 2 roast potatoes. We were expecting bowls of hot fresh cooked veg to arrive lol! I had the vegetarian option and my gravy was lumpy. Dessert was ok probably the best bit although my beetroot Wellington was def home made and good. We had coffees..........cold coffees and we were charged for them. Thought management might have let us have those given our constant complaints about the cold room. Service was good But they had an opportunity to prmote their business but failed to impress any of us enought to return

The Stables hosted us for our sons 18th birthday party, held in the Perone Room. We had the fork buffet for 20 people and the food was fabulous, everyone commenting on the quality and how tasty it was. Lovely venue, and atmosphere and very pleasant and helpful support from the in-house team both on the night and beforehand.

We held a Surprise 60th Birthday in the beautiful Perowne Room with 40 guests for a 3 course dinner and dancing. Andrew and the team were absolutely outstanding throughout the evening and during the planning process; professional yet friendly, approachable and very accommodating - nothing was too much trouble. Our guests were blown away with the venue, the service and especially the food - compliments to the Chef and his team. The banqueting menu is very impressive. Thank you to everyone involved for helping to make it a night to remember!

Omg… the Buttermilk burger was amazing!! Definitely a classic That and a couple of appletisers as I caught up on some work! It was so tasty… mmmm! Thanks to the staff especially Rosie who looked after my order. Great service… in the words of the terminator.. I’ll be back!! 😃

We are members or the golf club just started lessons and 6 Hole academy course. can I please send a huge AMAZING review on Tonia, Anne and Andrew in the restaurant these amazing peoples customer care is very good!!! 10/10 They are so good with customers, quick, efficient, kind and always happy. andrew was so busy today and still kept us comfortable, With our drinks and food, nothing was missed. Tonia makes the best hot chocolate 🤪 and lloyd for golf lesson he is incredibly patient and calm! Golf course amd restaurant amazing !!! a MUST VISIT !

Called in at this oasis of tranquillity and bucolic perfection for a bite to eat, it might seem OTT to enthuse so glowingly about a latte coffee and a bacon and egg bun but honestly I cannot remember when I enjoyed food more, the polite, helpful and efficient and lady who took my order had no problems with my request for gluten free and soya milk and added to my meal a portion of the most beautifully cooked, tastiest skin on french fries that I have ever eaten, just the thought of that delicious bacon and perfectly cooked runny fried egg dipped in the chips makes me feel hungry and I shall be back soon to sit on the relaxing terrace and savour well some more well cooked and presented food

I booked afternoon tea for me and a friend and it exceeded all expectations. The food was delicious, the setting beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely return.

Booked up for Sunday lunch the day before. We sat in the wonderful Perowne Lounge - very stylish and elegant. A little removed from the main dining area so we were slightly concerned that the service might be slower. This was completely unfounded! The service from all staff was excellent. We had soup and the terrine for starters followed by roast beef main course. I have to say it was one of the best lunches I have had in a long time. The food was really very good indeed. Definitely no room for desserts!! Highly recommended - great food in lovely surroundings.
