Lovely little cafe, servers were polite and efficient, food and coffee was well priced and absolutely delicious, accommodating dietary requirements was no issues for this place, the owner should be very proud of the standards set and maintained, looking forward to coming back…..

Great little find on a walk around Leigh...little upstairs terrace which was lovely to be able to sit outside. Had the chicken shawarma which was lovely and my girlfriend had chicken and avo...Will be back

Squeeze has a great roof space . Real shame you can’t book a table outside when it’s for 8 or more . I even offered a deposit for a special occasion . Plenty of other places that offer an outside booking . Shame !!

Visited just before closing for coffee and cake for the first time. Changed my baby in the loos - clean and accessible. The Americano was a bit water and could have been stronger. However my fussy dad had a juice and said it was really excellent. The blueberry muffin was delicious, best I ever had. Most importantly the staff were friendly and kind, especially the lady who has her own kids, which was much needed after another business on the Broadway had been extremely rude to me

I've visited the Squeeze Cafe three times recently; two of them were for my own private hire events and another occasion for brunch. The food has always been tasty while still looking pretty on the plate. The private hire menu caters for all dietary requirements as well as having a wide selection so there's something for everyone to enjoy. The cafe itself is so beautifully decorated and haven't had any issues with other dining guests or the layout. The roof terrace is amazing with the sea view on a sunny day and a cold drink in hand. The staff have always been very friendly, relaxed and approachable and if they're not sure of something they're happy to go find out for you. I'd highly recommend The Squeeze Cafe for a casual coffee, brunch or especially a private hire event, it's a fantastic space for a get together with loved ones! Thank you to the team at Squeeze for helping make both of our events so special. Support our local independent cafes and give them a chance, there are enough Costas around!

late review from 02/2024. We sadly did not have a great experience here, despite its reviews. Although its a small venue, it appears that the layout makes it less usable. That said we settled down and awaited our menu. It took a while for our waitress to bring us menus, it then took a while for her to take the order. a full English and bacon, egg and avocado on toast with a cuppa. The food looked delicious when it arrived and my companion said it was quite a good breakfast overall. But my scrambled egg was a little undercooked for me, which i feel is quite a difficult thing to do. It was also not a nice experience eating warm toast, warm bacon, warm egg and really cold mashed avocado. An unpleasant experience really. The coffee was weak and i requested another cup, stronger which she brought over but it was still not very strong. When she came to ask how our meal was i told it was uncooked and not to my liking. And that was that. She said she was sorry to hear that and walked off. Other customers had dogs & children with them which is all very lovely but Im not interested in strangers children or cooing over them or their pets. My time is for me and my companion and other guests time I feel should be for them and their kids and their pets. It was all a little to "familiar" for my liking. I finished my toast and bacon as I had scraped the slop off the top and was preparing to leave but needed the loo. Sorry to say, this was in dire need of a thorough clean. I am gobsmacked when all these hospitality venues think putting a smelly up and some bleach in a pan is enough. The seat was grubby, the toilet seat hinges were filthy, the pipes walls, skirtings fixtures etc all covered in dust. Totally put me off. Wont return.

Great food, rude staff. Banana and chocolate loaf is the only thing that keeps me coming back. The staff are quite abrupt.

I don’t leave many reviews but effectively made this account to leave this one. Upon first glance, The Squeeze is quite a quaint coffee shop in the heart of Leigh-on-Sea, friendly staff and even the bonus of some lovely dogs watching their owners sip coffee. Unfortunately, that’s where the dream ends. The stark reality of the place is extraordinarily long waits for food (in excess of 45 minutes… for soup. Really?) & over exerted staff to near breaking point. A generally less than positive experience, which is a shame for someone new to the area. Thankfully many other coffee shops in the area so I won’t have to frequent this establishment. A certain must avoid.

Sadly, the noise levels are such that this is no longer a quiet place for lunch. Their own music blaring and people with laptops with their solo music blaring too. The cafe is too small for this. Time for a change for me

Honestly some of the best food I've ever had, the potato dauphinoise is to die for and there's a great range of dishes to pick from. Starters come out one at a time which is really good for sharing with friends and family.

We have tried to like this cafe. The service is so slow that we have walked out twice now. Wish they would train their staff. Not a smile in sight and breakfast will turn into lunch by the time we get served. Appalling

Have visited The Squeeze multiple times both in its new & old locations. The food is always so delicious! We’d say the best cooked breakfast in Leigh on Sea. Excellent portion sizes too - such good value for money! The staff are really friendly & attentive. The only drawback is sometimes the toilets can be a little messy. The baby changing unit is extremely high up on the wall making changing a nappy quite tricky.

Lovely little spot with lots of great options. They have recently moved to this location and I actually much prefer it. Well worth a visit

We were seated in a small room upstairs when we enquired about a table. All good. Gave our order and waited 39 minutes for drinks to be told we needed to move tables to accommodate a larger walk in party. Moved to a worse table and waited another 30 minutes for food. Rubbish.

Lovely coffee, had the chill sausage bagel, wife had the bacon/avocado sourdough, both amazing. Haven’t been for a while, so glad I did.

First visit to the Squeeze with some friends who are regulars. Very warm welcome from the staff and taken to a table upstairs with plenty of space. The food was excellent, great fresh produce, well made and delicious. The children sausage, potato / mustard hash and eggs bagel was fantastic. The vegan breakfast and salmon and eggs bagels also excellent. Great coffee. Great service. Highly recommended.

Their chilli sausage bagel is out of control! Literally took the time to write a review just for that... Staff are great etc etc too but that bagel man... WOW!

We had a very tasty lunch, we sat up stairs, it was a warm day and with the decor you could have been abroad. The food is very good nicely presented and served by pleasant staff. The menu is varied and so healthy.

I live locally to the squeeze and would never say no to a visit! The squash salad bowls with giant couscous are delicious and filling - they don’t skimp on portion sizes. I had an amazing veggie breakfast recently and couldn’t recommend enough (avo was added). I have also had the wraps and wedges which are lovely. All food is of excellent quality. The coffee is amazing and the shakes are a must, holy kale is my favourite! All staff are friendly and helpful and the venue itself is lovely, a small outside area and a beautiful flowery upstairs area. Check it out!

The service is great, we usually like to sit outside and watch the world go by. Looking forward to seeing you again.

4 friends out for the day after lockdown.... Gorgeous food for both veggies and meat eaters, heaters, great coffee and happy smiley staff who let us overstay as we were still chatting hours later

Came here for brunch with a couple of friends, never knew it existed so glad it was recommend to me as I would defiantly come back! The breakfast and brunch menu looked delicious and the food was so tasty. Had a veggie breakfast which was so tasty, the mushrooms were the best on any cooked breakfast I have had out, so much flavour. The staff were all very lovely.

Popped in for brunch today, my wife had baked eggs with feta, whilst I had mushrooms and halloumi. Tasty but my halloumi was slightly undercooked. I particularly enjoyed my “Basil Rush” smoothie, which was delicious. The service was polite and friendly, but the restaurant itself could do with a tidy up.

Popped in one morning for breakfast before work, the coffee and food was great. Menu is a little limited.

Sorry but I’m quite disappointed. Myself and my 2 friends came for breakfast this morning and all our orders were wrong and my toast was burnt so I didn’t eat it. No one came to ask if our food was ok or came to take our plates. My friends don’t like to complain so I didn’t like to say anything. Such a shame because I don’t get to go for breakfast with my friends often.However, the smoothies were good.

We have just had brunch and I rarely write reviews but feel I have to in this instance. We waited 55 minutes for a sandwich and toast with bacon and not once were we updated or reassured our food was on the way. The food came and was ‘ok’ but I’ve never not had an apology for such a long wait before. Some advice. Let people know when the kitchen had a delay. And when you clear plates, apologise or ask how it was! If they had given us an update or drink while we waited it would have been a much more pleasant experience.

I have often walked past The squeeze and thought it was a smoothie place. But visited recently and found they have a great food menu. Healthy and plenty to choose from. Lovely place with friendly staff.

We got their at 2:10 & ordered not long afterwards.!stly. My coffee was more milk than coffee, they did put another shot in it! I got told because its a cappuccino, it's like that! NO it really isnt!!! I drink cappuccinos all over the world... IT should taste of coffee! Insult to my intelligence...Then at 2:45 still no food? 2 chicken burgers? So we asked for the bill & food to go... 2 /3 members of staff couldn't add up nor split the bill in half??? OMG.. used calculators the bill? All very worrying when it was £22.odd!!Under new management, I'm not going back.. It took forever to sort out & get! They weren't busy!Loads of young staff doing not alot. When I did get food home, it was covered in grease. So not healthy!Sweet pots not great.. They used to be the best ever here!Sad..

Great little place in Leigh on sea. Nice variety on the menu. Smoothies are excellent and the haloumi and shrooms off the lunch menu was tasty and presented beautifully. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Good local eaterie.

I am gluten free and vegetarian and they had many options for me to choose from. The staff were very sweet and reassured me my meal was gluten free without me asking, I love this because a lot of places I get scared they forgot or messed up my order and I feel too anxious to ask.

I have eaten here before and had no issues but I was very disappointed the last time.

I have been here before for lunch but recently went for just a smoothie and it was very pricey ! The space is very cramped and clustered which makes the place difficult to move around in. all the staff are very nice but just not very quick and just stand in groups and talk. I know this place has nice decor and looks very rustic and modern but is so overpriced. I went in and had a small smoothie to take away £4.95! That is the price of a large smoothie and I finished it in about 5 mins ! Although the smoothie tasted nice , when the women said the price I was utterly shocked !

Finally this place is making ways to its full potential after changing ownership. Great management of FoH team and consistently great food from experienced chefs.. For me, the only place to eat in the daytime in Leigh on Sea.

Popped in for lunch with my husband after coming here for a party some time ago and really liking the food they put on. Busy downstairs so we were seated upstairs which was fine. We sat by the window and watched the world go by while enjoying some lovely food washed down with a nice glass of viognier and a cider. Service was friendly and attentive - would recommend and will be back.

Smoothies were good here. Seating was a bit cramped as a party was expected. Would recommend a smoothie from here even as a takeaway. Been coming here for years!

I loved my brunch of home made spicy sausage, poached egg and hash potatoes on bagel. My partner would have preferred his full English bacon and sausage cooked more. Great juices freshly prepared but with plastic straws. With so much about plastic use, this is really disappointing.

What can I say... I celebrated my 30th Birthday here at the weekend and had a blast! The food, service, live music and atmosphere was perfect... Definitely recommend!

Love this place. Ideal to meet friends for a catch up or just watch the world go by. Good coffee and great selection of juices. Breakfast is good too and prices are very reasonable

My boyfriend and I frequent this place most days and I keep meaning to add a review, so hear it is ! It's a friendly place with a great selection of healthy and tasty food. We haven't found anywhere local like it that offers good food, smoothies and even alcohol ! We love the breakfast and lunch options and always find the service friendly and helpful. Would recommend !

Have had some lovely experiences and food in this cafe have been coming for years. However the past two occasions I have had the rudest service from staff. Being pushed into seats, asking what we wanted to order after one minute with just one menu between us and tuts when we weren’t ready! Tried again today to give the benefit of the doubt and again the icy service was there. A very hostile place now with rude staff who can’t be bothered to serve you. We won’t be back

This is a lovely little cafe with a good vibe. The food is decent and the coffee good. Unfortunately the level of service can be indifferent. Some of the waiting staff are excellent. However, some waiting staff fail to cater for customers sitting outside the cafe. On two occasions recently I sat outside waiting for service and was ignored. The last occasion was for more than 15 mins and I left without being served. If this was a large establishment I could understand the oversight but this is a small venue and the indifferent service shows a lack of attention to detail by the management of the cafe.

Visited on a Friday to surprise my Aunt. Food was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. On the Saturday evening attended my relatives 50th party. What a superb venue. Food excellent and service impeccable. Would highly recommend for a visit or to hire. 10/10 service.

Escaso personal que no parecen capaces de informar a los clientes que pueden ser sólo el desayuno, o antes del 12 pidió cosas en el menú no están disponibles o lo mejor de todo, no cuando se paga en efectivo, tarjeta de la máquina y un cajero automático al otro lado de la no tener dinero!

El exprimir era un lugar genial para mi grupo y acomodar fácilmente a unos 85 personas. Yo no me pregunto cómo las diferentes habitaciones/áreas sin trabajo pero no teníamos que habernos preocupado. El espacio de bar de abajo sirve como el área de recepción y luego tuvimos la comida distribuida en la pequeña habitación de arriba. También fue la pequeña zona de estar en la parte superior de las escaleras y el espacio de la azotea era el área principal para la música. Esta era una zona muy bonita en la noche con luces de colores y otros adornos. Llevamos algunos de nuestros propios adornos y nuestra propia música.

Este lugar siempre está muy concurrido, que es testimonio de lo espectacular que (normalmente). La comida es excelente y que no todos los tipos de té y batido que pueda imaginar. Un montón de comida vegetariana/vegana/opciones sin gluten gratis también. El servicio puede ser lento...

Esta crítica es muy retrasado, sin embargo, he visitado el apretado en un número de ocasiones. Tengo que decir que su completo desayuno inglés es el mejor en Leigh. Vine aquí para el desayuno el domingo 11 de junio, y quedé bastante decepcionado. Mi novia y yo pedimos un desayuno inglés completo, así como los huevos escalfados sobre una tostada con aguacate añadida. La comida primero tomó un largo tiempo, algo que los otros comensales estaban quejando. Entonces, cuando llegue, la tostada en ambas era bastante extensamente quemada, y el chef tenía evidentemente olvidado de mantequilla. No estoy seguro de por qué era. Pedimos a la camarera de la mantequilla cuando ella pasaba por ahí, y volvió con dos paquetes de más de cinco minutos más tarde, uno de los cuales era de unos 20 días de la fecha! Además, el aguacate extra, pero fue olvidado a la factura. Apareció para el desayuno. Tuve el tomate a la parrilla sobre pan tostado con pesto y queso parmesano con tocino y aguacate, mi pareja y tocino huevos escalfados sobre una tostada. Los dos tuvimos un zumo y batido. Todo muy sabroso, servicio con una sonrisa y algo de música de estilo indie animado para comenzar el día. Gran ambiente, excelente comida, excelente servicio y precios razonables.

at last! a place that is trendy but serves good food and well presented - a nice change from style over substance that most of the restaurants are nowadays.I had the chicken burger and chips and it was delicious. also some fresh squeezed drink that I've forgotten what it was exactly but very refreshing (it was green!)although some yummy mummies in their natural habitat i.e. organic juice after their gym sessions it wasn't too unbearable..I will definitely go again and it was refreshing to part with cash for reasonable price without the ouch factor.

I came down from Sheffield to help celebrate my nephews surprise 30th birthday party. Squeeze has a laid back feel with super helpful and friendly staff.Great thoughtful food and amazing cooled fresh apple juice. The buffet was fantastic including a marvellous Thai curry all freshly cooked.I will definitely return to resavour the food and atmosphere.

The food at this place is fantastic, I've been recently twice once I had lunch with a friend and it was so yummy! Great flavours and good portions and then I met a group of friends for Breakfast which was 10/10 they didn't mind me being fussy and changing a few items round and it was cooked to perfection.My only criticism would be slightly slow service butgenerally very very good and would return and recommend!

I go here quite a lot to meet friends for breakfast. Staff are friendly coffee is good. Service can be slow but food cooked fresh. I sit upstairs where you have more room and privacy. In Leigh this is the best venue for breakfast I have found

Wow, highly disappointed. Me and my boyfriend have been to Squeeze numerous times however today was our first visit since January. The service has gone so far down hill, I really am not sure if I ever would return. After walking in and taking a seat I waited 5 minutes before seeing two different members of stuff walking past our table to talk to the people cooking the food (clearly not job related). I then waited even longer before realising I certainly wasn't going to be given a menu and was to hunt down two myself. On our previous visits they were given to us? So I know it's not a help yourself policy. Following this we had to wait another 5-10 minutes before someone else came over to take the order, well I have never seen someone so miserable before. She looked so unhappy and clearly did not even want to be there, a face like thunder I would say. We waited quite a long time for the food but both very excited for a laksa curry which we had been craving we didn't mind. However I was disappointed to discover mine was fairly average. It was chicken and prawn, however surely you should receive more the 2 measly prawns? I mentioned it to my boyfriend who informed me he had way more than me. I then tried some of his and noticed a completely different taste, his curry was thicker and more padded out with chicken and prawns than mine. Have no idea how the same thing can be such different quality? Even on the same day. The whole meal I had a moody looking staff member in my eye line which was putting me in a foul mood. A smile doesn't hurt once in a while even if your fed up! It just made me feel uncomfortable.Over all the experience was poor, I always leave a tip for service but out of principle none were deserving of a penny more. Hopefully they retrain the staff on how to at least bring a menu over, or smile once or twice?

Met some friends here for a drink one Saturday evening recently and really liked it. It's very small inside but friendly, good live music too. It was a relaxed, friendly and fun atmosphere where you could have drinks and a good chat too. I've not eaten here but would happily try the food and would visit again for drinks.

I attended an evening Christmas get-together last week with friends and colleagues from work. Our boss had booked the upstairs room which had a cozy atmosphere. The food was particularly delicious- terrific green curry, pesto pastry pinwheels and great dips (especially the freshly prepared aolli. I would happily eat it all over again.

Lovely place for breakie - all fresh and smoothies great too. Highly recommended. Can be hard to get a table but as a result of popularity nothing else. Helpful staff / service.

Must have passed this place hundreds of times, now we have been twice in a week! Good menu including kids bites, decent coffee and great smoothies. We have had breakfast and lunch, couldn't fault either, tight downstairs but loads of space upstairs and some quirky art in the walls.

Came here for a private function (40th birthday) on a Saturday night. What a great little place right in the middle of Leigh. Its a café / smoothie bar during the day and a bar by night. It has a really pleasant laid back feel about it. Kind of Bohemian. We were mostly in the private rooms upstairs which have a separate toilet. Had to go downstairs to the bar for drinks, which was fine as could then listen to the music from the dj. The bar area downstairs is small but they had the side doors open and some tables outside which made it feel bigger. If we lived closer I'd definitely want to try it for lunch and would want to come in the evenings too.

The smoothies are delicious however, the food is very underwhelming. Having eaten here multiple times the food is always been a bit disappointing, there was just no seasoning. The price certainly does not reflect the food quality.

Small bar / café in Leigh on sea. Downstairs there is a man playing vinyl records on turntables with good taste in general music.Bar staff are extremely slow and keep forgetting small orders and having to repeat yourself over and over again. The Bar lady is extremely rude and arrogant and in my opinion should not be working with the general public.Overall ok but not sure I would return . . . only because of a member of staff. Would rather spend my money somewhere else in Leigh where the Barstaff in this case the lady are happy in their work and treat the Customers with a little respect.

This place has great staff, lovely food and excellent music. It is often our chosen place to go for a drink in Leigh on Sea and yeah it has a lovely atmosphere. We have tried their flatbread and beer offer nights and flatbread was fantastic!! Check them out

Have gone for breakfast several times and it is consistently good, filling and healthy. On our most recent visit we brought our puppy so needed a table outside. When we arrived they were full, but were more than happy to reserve one as it came available if we wanted to come back in around 15minutes. We agreed, walked the dog and came back to find a reserved table as promised. Breakfast did not disappoint and service was friendly.

'Squeeze' may look like a juice bar - and they have an extensive menu of smoothies - but they do great food, too. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Tried the new evening menu which is flat bread type wrap and a beer. Very nice fresh food and value for money. Fantastic service.

Squeeze is one of the best little cafes around Leigh. The recently updated menu gives a really nice edge to a smoothie bar. The smoothies and milkshakes are creative and tasty. Definitely recommend

When we are in Leigh on Sea we always make a point of having lunch at the Squeeze Café. Their salads are excellent and are full of really tasty ingredients.On the many other occasions that we have eaten there we have also enjoyed the Chicken Burger and the Potato Wedges.Everything is prepared fresh and usually from locally source organic ingredients.The smoothies are freshly made to order and there is a large selection to choose from.Great food at a reasonable price.

Always enjoy our visits to the Squeeze Cafe. Friendly attentive staff and great food make this our favourite eatery in Leigh. I like the idea that every thing is freshly cooked with a healthy bias. Having said that I do enjoy a large slice of flapjack with a latte.

Dinner with a difference, sweet potato wedges, my favourite! Fab Fresh smoothies, with a boost, loads to choose from.. You come out feeling good about eating dinner. Good for on the go take aways too. Have special nights & talks too.

Had lunch here with a friend as she knew I'd become vegan and thought would be a good choice. Food was excellent although we sat upstairs and was really cold and draughty (typical English summer!). Cannot fault the food as was gorgeous. Would definitely return for another meal.

I recently hired the upstairs of The squeeze Café for a birthday party. The venue its cute and has so much character, with fair lights and quirky decorations. The buffet was delicious and everyone was very impressed, there was more than enough for the guests. The staff we very helpful and super friendly. I can not recommend enough! thank you for a great night!

Excellent food and healthy, great smoothies. Can get busy and not room for prams inside really, but really great place. Specials are really good.

In an effort to be balanced I must say this place is 99 times out of 100 very good. The juices are always quality and the takeaway service fine. No where else quite like it in town.

I love, love, love this place. I can't remember ordering anything that wasn't excellent and the sweet potatoe wedges are lovely!!! Haven't tried an evening yet, so something to look forward to.

Eaten here for breakfast, brunch and lunch now! Great service and food each time. Have also been for a drink on a weekend evening with live music. One on occasion a friend and I were sitting outside with our 2 babies and were heading inside to take a table that had just freed up but a couple beat us to it. A member of staff kindly approached the couple and asked them to move as they had noted we were wanting to come inside. Very nice of her to do so.

Great to be able to get some really healthy smoothies and superfood shots. Tables downstairs a bit noisy as drinks constantly being made, but great buzz if you like that sort of thing. Tables upstairs nice and quiet, so you can have a good talk.

I love this little place, I come here for lunch whenever i'm in Leigh. This place does the most amazing smoothies, the purple power I do recommend!The sweet potato wedges are out of this world and they are a must have when visiting.Its a really nice little place to chill out with friends for a quiet lunch or a coffee break.I'll shall be back very shortly!

Came on a Sunday for a bit of brunch based on the menu and reviews.After 20 minutes of swapping tables and chairs. We landed on a table outside. Which was fine only for the trio of punters next to us who kindly swiped a chair from the table for 2.After requesting a spare chair to which they refused, we found out that it would be a 50 minute wait for food.I kid you not, 50 minutes wait for a brekky.Astounding level of service. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere.

This place has been a personal favourite of mine for a few years now. Fresh ingredients cooked clean and friendly, polite waiting staff make for an all-round pleasant experience.

Not a regular review writer but we had a great lunch at Squeeze - warm welcome, friendly service and delicious food. I love the menu has a good selection for both meat and veggie (of which there are a couple in our group of 8). On service we had a very attentive waitress, who knew the menu inside out and could guide us on what to try. A shame to see some negative reviews as I couldn't fault it. When food is freshly made it takes a little time.

I have been going to the squeeze since it first opened. In that time the service has become an utter shambles... Such a shame! The grub is good and so are the juices! However on more that one occasion I have waited over 20 minutes for a coffee? My food turned up before the food did!. Not about that! Being back the old owners!

Amazing juices and usually excellent service. Be careful though if you're hoping for a late afternoon takeaway. I walked in at 4:20pm, all pleased with myself as I'd beaten the 5pm closing time as I wanted to take some fruit juice around to my poorly father.My smugness was short lived - chairs were being put on tables and their was no apology for my attempted custom meeting no service whatsoever even though the front door was still open.
