The Square Pub in South Kesteven

Nothing wrong with the place but asking for a tap water you suddenly get charged £2.50 for a bottle. Try to query and there’s nothing to be done. Turns out there’s not responsible people in this pub that I’ve visited for years…

Drinks are way over priced. Staff are rude to their female customers. Atmosphere is dead. Would recommend going across the road.

Good food, good price, friendly and covid 19 trained staff.

Nice smoking area and staff are quite good. Only problem is the deafening music. For such a small 'pub' there is no need for the music to be so loud. Also the coke machine breaks sometimes leaving you will rum tonic rather than rum coke.

On this one occasion the drink proportions were terrible, but 9/10 great pub

Good selection of drink and quick service. However the door staff are rude and aggressive for no reason, other than they think they can be. We were having a quite drink and asked to drink up because it was closing time. Fair enough. However the attitude to the door staff after that. I've told you to drink up, if you dont I'll take it off you. I've got another job to go to. All the whilst another door man was stood behind him. We felt intimidated and a little frightened. Door staff are there to make people feel safe not fear. I won't be returning until the door staff are replaced.

Visited Circles last night for Thursday's Tapas, for the first time. Lovely venue with pleasant, helpful staff. Selection of both wines and gins was extensive and reasonably priced. The tapas menu offers a good variety of dishes with some suitable for vegetarians as well.The 4 for £16 offer is very good as are the portion sizes. A really enjoyable evening, so much so it could become a regular Thursday night visit. Thoroughly recommend that you try it!

Recently changed hands so time will tell I guess. Alright afternoon and early evening but probably suits the younger crowd later on. Mostly lager on tap and shots/gin bar. Not sure they sell enough real ale to keep what they have got decent. Service can be a bit slow sometimes. Pleasant enough and have cleaned it up a lot from the last owners. Retained the Jukebox but lost the pool table for a 'lounge-style' area. New theme bar just opened upstairs instead of old Thai restaurant but too early to judge if it will be any good or not.

Love this place. So much better than it used to be. Staff are polite and friendly and has an amazing selection of drinks. Highly recommended.
