Took the parents out on Sunday and visited Anwick Garden Centre. After having a wander around the Garden Centre and purchasing a few items, we went into the cafe to have a drink and chose to dine, as it was lunch time (13:30ish). I went with the house Cheese Burger and both parents went with the Sunday Roast (on this occasion Beef). I had a can of soda (Vimto) and the parents each had a pot of tea. Food wise, the burger was well cooked and chips and salad were also good and overall it was a great portion for the price. The parents both really enjoyed the beef and the roast potatoes, the only issue being the vegetables, both would have preferred it slightly more cooked, and father would have liked a slight larger vegetable portion. Overall though, we’ll be visiting again, and I would recommend a visit if you’re in the area…

Amazing food with an amazing atmosphere, run completely by volunteers, so you get great value food, with all profits going to the church. The cakes are particularly great, all homemade and lots of dairy & gluten free options.

Our children love having lunch here to mark the 1st and last day of each school holidays! Simple beans and toasts are piping hot and quickly served, and the array of cakes always makes it difficult to make a choice... A great place to pop into to lift your spirits and fill your tummy!

Lovely setting mainly visited by older people. Limited lunch menu, more for snacks/elevenses. Plenty of seating and tables but a bit cramped for wheelchair/pushchair access.

Always plenty of choice of snacks and delicious cakes. Lovely surroundings with lovely volunteers. My grand children are 'soya and dairy free' but there is always something that they can be treated to.

I didn't actually go to the café but visited the church. A kind lady in the café let me in the church to have a look around as late in the afternoon. The church inside is beautiful with many stained glass windows and a superb alter. A couple of little chapels and some stunning angel sculptures on the ceiling. Well worth a visit

My husband, 2 children and I just love this precious gem in Leighton Buzzard! On the first and last days of the school holidays, we always try and come down for beans on toast, drinks and cake, and even though the children and now 10 and 13, they still love it and regard it as an enormous treat! The cakes are homemade and delicious, and the beans on toast always hits the spot. Thank you to all you busy bees that make this cafe such a pleasure to come to, and so very affordable - we wouldn't be able to treat the children so often if it wasn't for your fantastic prices!

Alright, so Leighton Buzzard is not exactly a seething metropolis but High Street shopping on a Saturday is a busy, noisy affair, even in the most sedate of towns, so a relaxing place to sit down away from the bustle is invaluable. The Spire coffee shop offers just that. The few times I have been here it has largely been frequented by, and indeed run by, elderly people. I am not quite in that bracket yet, myself, but the advantages of older people running a café are not inconsiderable, if I can be forgiven for stereotyping in an entirely positive vein. They tend to be friendly, calm and polite, making for a pleasant atmosphere. Moreover, they are the generation most accomplished in the art of the satisfying cup of tea and the homemade cake, both of which were very much in evidence on my last visit. I had a great pot of tea and a slice of tea loaf. Both perfect. I drank three good cups of tea and had a large slice of the cake (with a pat of butter), costing me a total of £2.60, which might just about get me a very small drink in one of the coffee chains. The café is housed within the stunningly beautiful All Saints church in the town centre - the one with that magnificent spire that is visible from miles around and gives the coffee shop its name. Again, I am not a religious man but often find religious buildings tranquil and attractive. You could do worse than have a mooch around the church once you've had your tea and cakes. Whilst the coffee shop itself is relatively modern inside, it does share some of that feeling of serenity and does feature some wonderful old leaded church windows that give a view into the leafy and pleasant churchyard. Highly recommended.

Comfortable little tea and coffee shop; located at All Saints Church in the heart of Leighton Buzzard town centre. Run by volunteers, always helpful and welcoming. Providing sandwiches freshly made to order and light meals. The unique selling point of this Café is the selection of beautiful Home Made Cakes. The price structure is very reasonable. If you have a moment; there's a good opportunity to look around the historic Church while you are here. At the time of writing: the opening times are 10am to 3.30 Tuesday, Friday and Saturday (Tue & Sat coincide with Market Days). Summer Shutdown, in 2015, is from Sat 8th of August at 3.30, re-opening at 10am on Fri 4th of August

Lovely food all freshly baked. We realised they missed a part of our order so contacted them and they were very apologetic and quickly sent the missing sandwich. Thank you for a lovely lunch

FOOD - 5⭐️ The food was amazing, everything was tasty and delicious- and for someone who lived in turkey for 7 years it tasted the exact same. The portion sizing was quite big and I could have done with less chips with the lamb chops. SERVICE -4⭐️ we went on a Friday and it got quite busy. We had a lovely blonde English girl serving us who was very social and polite alongside making us feel very welcome here and not rushing us. Alongside her serving was a young girl lad who was again a polite chappy who had all the same qualities as her. I had to knock a star off of the service tho due to the amount of time the manager spent outside smoking. We were in for no long than an hour and 1/2 and he must of been outside 3 or 4 times whilst the young waiters were left to do everything. When he came in the subtle smell of smoke lingered too which slightly put us off. We also always tip in cash for the staff who served us the most to keep for themself and we saw them put in all in a pot so the main waitress/ waiter probably didn’t get they exact tip from us which was very disappointing due to them doing such a good job. When we come back to leighton- we will be sure to return!
