Party of six I ordered Madras curry hot it was anything but the portion of rice was small the curry was anaemic in colour and didn't have the appearance of any ghee didn't taste like a Madras should I wouldn't recommend it has changed along with the new name abduls

Had THE most amazing curry today. Exotic garlic masala. Awesome, tasted so good OMG you have to try it. Staff are brilliant, service excellent, can't fault it . . . . AT ALL ❤️

It was delicious. There are so many Indian restaurants and most of them are very good. This is the best. The food, service and environment are too notch. Great bunch of lads, great restaurant 👍

very disappointed curry served on luke warm plates and no spices at all in 4 of the currys tikka massala's looked revolting and one curry a tikka bhuna tasted like tomato soup with a bit of chicken in it wife would have sent it back but did not want to cause a fuss with many other family members present so we tried to eat it and make the best of it then when bill came £42 00 for two so called currys and two drinks just paid it and left WILL NOT GO BACK AGAIN EVEN IF ITS FREE

Very disappointed by our visit. We decided to visit here instead of our usual curry house because they had recently won an award and it is our nearest restaurant. We pre-booked a table for 7pm as it was Saturday night instead of just turning up. Our drinks order was taken before we had even taken our coats off to sit down & we hadn’t even looked at the menu to see what drinks there were! We then waited 20 minutes until our food order was taken. A couple walked in and sat at the table next to us & they were obviously regulars as the waiters came over and talked to them, addressing them by their names and their order was taken immediately. Our starters arrived at just before 8pm & we were starving so they only lasted 5 minutes. I have to say that the onion bhajis (4) were amazing - they weren’t greasy or heavy. The pakoras were some of the nicest I’d eaten but there were only 2 & they were very small. The main courses of the regular couple arrived shortly after our starters & they had virtually finished their meal by the time our mains arrived. The food was nice and there was a lot of it. Can’t complain about the quality of the food at all - the meat was tender and for the price it was good value. Our plates were taken away & we then waited ages before anyone came over to ask if we wanted anything else. It was heading up to 9pm before we got our bill - I have never spent so long in an Indian restaurant! When we received the bill it did seem rather expensive - when we added up the amounts of the individual dishes and drinks we had been overcharged by around £10. My partner took the bill back to the bar & it was recalculated correctly. So, all in all… the food was nice but the service wasn’t what we’d expect from an award winning restaurant. On top of that, to be overcharged… very disappointing & as a result we wouldn’t visit again and would rather drive further afield to a restaurant with better service.

Food was absolutely delicious, nothing of the meal could be faulted Staff were also lovely and very helpful Was also able to ask for a curry in a less spicy option

saw the review of this restaurant on fb saying it has won the lancs best restaurant ,and wanted to visit seeing all the good reviews ,rang to book a table for 4 as we have visitors from Australia, asked about the set menu adding if we wanted we could swap some dishes if we wanted to even if we had to pay more and was assured we could. Lovely place and decent ambience when we were ready to order stated we wanted to change some dishes but was told we could not do that even after being told we could, the starters were very good and we all enjoyed them but when the mains came they were tepid and cold and the curries were some of the worst we have ever had they took some of the dishes away and microwaved them i complained but no body seemed bothered need less to say after looking forward to this experience and being treated the way we will NEVER set foot in this place again and how this has been voted eastlancs best is totally beyond me

Visited with family after someone recommended it to us. Had big expectations. Ordered drinks, I'd asked for a dry white wine but was given a sweet wine. I asked for them to swap it for a gin instead which they did and no charge for the wine. Starters came, which we all enjoyed. Chicken pakora was beautiful with light crispy batter, one if the best I've tasted. For mains I opted for lamb tikka with a side of curry sauce. Sadly the lamb was so chewy I couldn't eat it. Paid for the meal and was given the usual steaming hot wipes, complimentary chocolate and baileys. I may go again but order a different main.

Booked for Saturday 6pm...received a confirmation by e mail at 1 am which they should look at as could be easily missed. However...sat down ,had an extremely passable pint of Madri. Ordered food which came relatively promptly. Popadums ,Chutney and then 2 curry dishes...all very good and pleasantly served. Great idea also to allow people to pop in just for a drink as there are v few pubs in the area. Well done all...will be back.

Rang for a takeaway tonight from Abdullahs at 7.15pm. Was told delivery 8 till quarter past. Rang back at 8.25pm as meal hadn't turned up. Got lied to on the phone,'It's on its way'. Curry was remade and delivered at 8.50pm. Rice was cold. Hottest chicken madras and chicken rogan josh we've ever tasted, threw most of it. Thanks for nothing Abdullahs.

I ordered takeaway from here and the food was delicious, it tasted really fresh and flavoursome, the delivery was really quick. I will definitely order again xxx

Ordered takeaway. having not used Abdullahs for a while, it’s fair to say the food was of a reasonable standard. Ordered 2x Tandoori main meals was shocked at the £27.70 price tag. In comparison to other takeaways in the area this is very expensive, for the same food and same standard.

Absolutely fantastic food, great atmosphere and the staff are really friendly and attentive. Will be back for a meal very soon!

I have just been to this restaurant and may i say it was a brilliant evening serving excellent food and great hospitality. My first visit was 3 and a half years ago and it was good then but its excellent now i had a lamb chop curry and my partner had a dahnsak both excellent dishes. And with 2 complimentary brandys after the meal and a loyalty card with 5 pounds off our next visit. We will definitely be visiting again 5 stars for me

We have been here many times and we have always loved it. We have never had any reason for complaint except for tonight.. First of all it wasn't very warm in there tonight but a couple who had had their meal gave us their seats next to the radiators. We ordered drinks then we ordered our meals.. The waiters were quite pushy and we weren't in any rush. We said can you give us 5 minutes. They didn't come back to us for about 20 mins which was fine.but when we got our meal it was quite luke warm. We were talking to another couple so we didn't complain at the time. When we were paying we told the waiters but they just said sorry So disappointed as we usually love this place.

Always good food and has always been delivered before time stated , must get in to eat at the restaurant at some point.

Just been for a lovely meal with family for Mothersday, what can I say it was amazing. The food was so lovely and portions so big. The staff so welcoming and service really good too. I couldn't believe it wasn't booked up, obviously not many people know about this lovely place. Really enjoyed it, will definitely return.

Food was delicious as usual. However it was 2 hours late. I get it’s new year but don’t take so many orders. And apologise when contacted. Ridiculous service tonight. We are regulars and order once a week. Will never order again!

It’s been over 3 hours since I ordered & still no food. Rang over an hour ago to be told it would be here within 30 mins. Still waiting...

Order from here regularly and have visited the restaurant a number of times. Always very good, that's why I order time and again.

I asked for chips instead of prawns in my curry & did not get any, I normally do because I pay for a meat curry & just have a sauce :(. I also asked for no mango & 2 onion chutney & that was ignored :(. I did how ever thouroughly enjoy my food, it was delicious

Everything was hot and delicious

Ordered several times and I always have something slightly off menu (a plain curry sauce instead of a bhuna) and every time they delivery it without fail and it's to die for! Amazing food! Delivery is always prompt. You will not go wrong ordering here.

Ordered for 8pm for a reason and came 40 minutes early, so into the oven it had to go. Food is generous quantity. Ordered biriyani and it was different from the last time, no egg and no sultanas. Can't say I care for the sultanas, but the egg was missed. Tasty food otherwise though.

Food was only ten minutes late but when it got here chips where missing and starter platter luke warm to cold. I rang and asked if they could send a new starter platter and chips. They re sent all the order in quick time and it was super hot. Thank you so much in correcting the error it is so appreciated. I always order from here. Normally its great. First experience where food has been missing and they corrected it straight away. Thank you

The chicken tikka was cold and the Coca-Cola was hot I was happy with the chicken tikka masala and the naan bread and the poppadum thank you

Ordered set meal for two with Chicken Korma and a Tikka Masala. Absolutely beautiful.... like bringing restaurant experience home. Selection of 5 dips with the poppadoms. Korma and Tikka Masala both excellent. Real full bodied taste .. korma beautifully fruity and tikka very rich and smokey flavour. Everything packaged and presented perfectly. Meal for 2 was more than enough for two adults. A hungry teenager and a 9 yr old. Thank you.

Everything was full of big chunks of tomatoes, no flavour at all and the chips tasted stale...yuk... they went into the bin, not as to the standards I remember when ordered last year... Very disappointed, will be looking elsewhere next time...

Delivery arrived nearly half a hour after specified time even though received an email stating food was on way 40 mins earlier , rang restaurant and they were apologetic and it wasn't a major problem, main problem was we ordered a lamb madras and received a chicken one which spoiled the meal as one person didn't like chicken. However all the food was excellent and despite this I will be using again as I appreciate they were busy

Very very good. Food was reasonably priced and quick service. One mistake was I didn't order rice/ shame this wasn't flagged up or noticed and many takeaways include this anyway. Overall nice food

The food was cold, poppadoms soggy chutney and mint very watery not happy full stop will not get a delivery from there again. The containers used are the cheap ones. Very disappointed.

I think they have a different chef. We always order from here but we're very disappointed tonight. We spent £34 + and sadly the food lacked flavour (never usually like this) hardly any chicken in the masalas too. The colour wasn't right like normal and it was thin. Have to find a new restaurant now. Upset!! Sorry guys but I paid a lot if money and that was my last test meal before starting a diet regime. Delivery however was fast.

Delivered a full hour earlier than we had specified. We love the food from the Spice Room - but they nearly always deliver early. This time it was beyond any acceptable level.

Quality food, super fast delivery, amazing value

Having two children means we don't get to order take away very often so it's important that the food is good and it's delivered promptly when we do. The food arrived exactly on time. It was hot, tasty and looked fantastic. Cannot fault any aspect of the meal. I will definitely be ordering again.

First time customer...I was waiting far too long for a small order of food to be delivered! After contacting the restaurant to question the delivery time. I was told that it was going to take longer which I wasn't pleased about. Perhaps in future a simple courtesy phonecall to your customers advising that you're running late!! I was very disappointed to say the least! I CANCELLED my order and found a quick alternative elsewhere!!

I must have ordered on an off day given the other reviews, but this meal was inedible and went straight in the bin. In fairness the mixed starter was ok but its was all down hill from there. 3 of the chutney tray items had been dropped in the bag and emptied all over the bag. But the worst thing was the curries, a Korma and a Room Fusion Special. They are easily the worst curries we have ever had. Based on the other reviews I'm surprised at how bad this food was so hopefully we caught Spice Room on a bad day but I wont be ordering from there again.
