A great local restaurant ! Extensive menu with something for everyone . Good value with attentive staff, highly recommended.

Food great really tasty. Would definitely go again

I would say probably one of the best Indian meals we have eaten at a dine in Indian restaurant for a long time. Naga Chicken Tikka Masala is amazing, not sure why no one has come up with this before. Sunday and Wednesday they have a deal - 1 starter, 1 main, 1 vegetable side and either rice or bread for 15.99, massive value! We will definitely be back.

I ordered food here that took quiet a while to arrive that includes the starter. Wine does not take long at all nor do poppadoms. Seems to attract people with children. Food itself, not good, too much red food colouring in all dishes and my meal which I was promised would be cooked the way I like it, no, I had to return it I ordered a Dhansak which was not how a Dhansak should be cooked, too red in colour and the flavour was not there of a proper Dhansak, portions are also on the skimpy side. This restaurant seems over rated but again it depends on how much you know about Bangladeshi food and how long you been eating Bangladeshi food, the old chefs no longer work or they passed away or moved back to their hometown, but the younger cooks or chefs dont know how to properly cook the food, its rushed in the kitchens and dyed red to make it look appealing to certain customers. Red food colouring should not be used in cooking Indian dishes or Bangladeshi dishes it means they are not using proper spices. Wont be going to this restaurant again.

We have been ordering for over two years everything was amazing. One time we ordered and it was not very good we raised our concerns and the staff sent out a complementary meal and the quality was restored. These guys work so hard and when it's not right they work even harder to make even better! So a huge thank you from us and we will continue to keep ordering from the best Indian curry house in the UK 🇬🇧 try them they are the Best 👌 10/10

Worst curry ever all pre brought tasteless slop. No flavour to any of the curries same constituency like baby food. Banquet night admittedly you get alot for 16 pounds but my advice avoid at all costs. Will say the staff was very good.

One of the best Indian restaurants in the area. Very fresh and tasty, if you want something a little less spicy or more spicy it's no problem just ask. Some very traditional dishes on the menu, if you're interested in choosing something different from the run of the mill Indian restaurants.

My first time at the Spice Lounge and very pleased with the quality of food and service at very competitive prices. Excellent. Will go again.

Great restaurant and food but at 8 quid a starter and 15 quid for a main without rice, this is over the top and we wouldn't come back at these prices. Sad as we do enjoy the food here.

Super average and overpriced. Decent lamb but average everything else. Charged us nearly a tenner for the usually free chutneys they bring out for poppadoms, bizarre. Half pint of soft drink is four quid. Bottle of Cobra over seven quid. Main waiter was very moody and offered no explanation for the extortionate chutney conundrum. Food took over 45 mins to come out. Wouldn’t bother going again.

Booked a table for two. The meal was acceptable but very small portions and we were charged £.2 48 each for for the mango chutney which was placed on our table without us actually ordering it. The meal was ok, but for 2 small samosas and 2 onion bahjis and 2 main dishes naan and rice and a couple of beers the bill came to a staggering £82! I presume the 2 After Eight mints were also chargeable. Overall, yes the food was nice but well overpriced and we won't be returning. Small portions, extremely expensive and the charging for chutney which assumed came with the overpriced poppadoms was a step too far.

Varied menu with some new dishes. The ginger chicken dish was lovely. Served in a hot balti dish. All rice is the same price but looks to be different quantities? Lime and cashew is very nice. Naan breads varied and all lovely. Prices have increased a little but the food is still good. Nice ambience. Polite service. Bottle of Prosecco sensibly priced. Had mismatched glasses though. Should all be the same. We would happily return.

A great Indian restaurant in Higham Ferrers main street. Food very tasty and at reasonable prices too. We travel from Corby to experience a lovely meal.

Food OK, bit loud, service brilliant

Very very good meal here recently. Food was excellent as was the service provided. Will recomend and visit again.

Generally we only tend to only eat 'curry' when we eat out. We have a couple of go to places and we also every now & then try somewhere new. Last night, for our wedding anniversary, we ate at the Spice Lounge. Its only a few minutes from us but had not eaten there before. The restaurant itself has a very modern up to date feel. It was their banquet night but we were still surprised at how busy it was. Always a good sign to eat somewhere thats busy. I started with a new to the menu 'fiery buddha' & true to its word it was fiery chilli hot but also delicious & tender. Mel started with onion bhajis with a hint on honey. Also great in flavour & texture & not oily. Opting for the banquet, which included the starters, we had as mains lamb tikka karai which was also great in flavour with beautifully cooked soft, tender, lamb. Not overly spiced & not chilli hot. The chicken achari was also full of flavour with a hint of sweetness. For sides we went for two paneer dishes. Mutter paneer, far better than any cheesy peas, &, sag paneer. We went for a tandoori roti bread, perfect accompaniment for our meal & something we very rarely order. Lastly the rice & this was divine. Not normally a dish I would big up, but this was special. Lime & cashew rice with black mustard seeds and curry leaves. It smelt, an almost popcorn aroma from the curry leaves, as good as it tasted. All in all well worth a visit & good value for money.

Food is ok but, it now more expensive than any other Indian restaurant within a 10 mile radius. Portions are small and rice at £5 a portion for basic basmati rice is shameful. They really need to look at their prices.

Very disappointed - usually the take out are excellent. Yesterday the portions were tiny. Looked like they trying to stretch the dishes. The curry accompanying the chicken biryani was less than half full of the container. There was hardly 2 or 3 pieces of chicken in the biryani. That container was only two thirds full. The lamb dish was very poor. The lamb was chewy and seemed under cooked. The naans were ok. Was the regular chef on leave?

Had a lovely evening here celebrating my birthday. The food was amazing and came really quick. The staff were friendly and the right amount of attentive. Very decently priced too. Looking forward to visiting again!

Very varied menu and helpful staff to direct you to a dish when you described your tastes. Prices have gone up a lot. £4.99 for all types of rice and it’s a small portion. Bombay potatoes delicious but equally small portion. Curry and cashew rice delicious as was the sun dried tomato naan. £146 for 4 including 8 large Kingfisher is still a good price and the food was spot on. You can return many times and try a different dish each time. Shot of Baileys at the end. Would happily return and recommend.

This was an experience for sure, the staff seemed a little fragmented on our arrival. . Not sure where to sit us down? The place was near empty,? Along with waiters not sure whether to bring us menus or get us drinks first it just didn't flow... almost that they could not be bothered...I think over staffed...and no one one knew what to do...The food was excellent ....though they did not bring me what I had ordered.. I didnt make a fuss or say any thing as there was a few of us and we were hungry ... The food was very tasty...but very expensive...I would presume that many locals use this restaraunt and they return on a regular basis, and it keeps it ticking over. Personally I have had better Indian food, but I think this type of food can please one but not the other.

Lovely friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff really made our meal memorable. The food was quick and very tasty. Portion size was perfect and every dish was full of flavour. There was a meal deal when we visited which was good value although not everything on the menu was included.

Visited on Xmas Eve. Was left waiting for our table for 15 mins as they were clearly over booked and trying to get as many people in and out to make more money. They couldn’t care less about quality of service or food. It was...

The food is very good. So are the cocktails! The only downside is that our local Indian takeaway is fantastic and so it's easier and cheaper for us to go there. However we do enjoy eating at the spice lounge with family and friends. However you can not get in, in a wheelchair and if you wanted to go into the cocktail lounge you can't as is up some rather steep stairs.

Good food, reasonable prices snd friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

We had a lovely family meal here today and I decided to pre book. On arrival we were shown to a window table. The drinks and popadoms came quickly after been ordered. Sadly I only took a photo of my starter which was onion bajji as forgot to take one of my main. Service and food were above our expectation level and we would happily return again.

This was our 3rd meal. Last 2 were delicious. Really disappointed with this one, all chicken dishes, chicken was tough and tikka was dry.

Invited to restaurant from out of the area for a family 25th Wedding Anniversary last night . Table booked for ten of us. Firstly the restaurant was full to capacity and yet they allowed their reception area to fill up with people waiting for tables irresponsible in the current COVID climate . Our table was neglected from the word go. Waited over half an hour to order drinks. Main course did not arrive for over two and a half hours ! Drink and food orders were wrong . The only reason we ordered any food or drink was by chasing the staff the whole time. Several smaller tables were seated hours after us and they were served numerous rounds of drinks fed quickly and paid their bills while we still hadn’t received our mains. Overall the restaurant is modern with good food however the SERVICE WAS APPALLING and none of us would go back !

LOVE LOVE LOVED MY MEAL. Lamb Dansak with Mushroom rice is to die for, will be back next week, absolutely love this place.

Last night we had chicken tikka masala it tasted like tomato and chicken it was awful we also ordered onion salad we received two minute portions and two tiny pots of pickles there should of been five pompadoms they were all crushed and one garlic narn which was stone cold. It was a takeaway and was charged £30-09p. rang tonight to complain and was told they don’t use tomato in masala and would not refund for the masala so our dinner was ruined. I have never in my life had to complain about a takeaway but this was inedible . They would not refund the money for the two masalas the manager said they could not do this but if we had another curry tonight we could have 20 percent off apparently it was a different chef last night and a different manager tonight. It says it all. Just letting you all know was definitely not value for money and would definitely not return to be ripped of again with the size of the portions.

Got a takeaway from here, you could sense that they were busy, so, I was hoping for delicious food when I got home. It wasn’t to be. The curry wasn’t good. Nans were soggy and papadums smelt like it weren’t cooked in fresh oil.Probably avoid this place in the future.
