Delivery super fast. Food quality was good and well cooked. The main dishes were quite bland however. The murgh makhani was drenched in cream. The other two mains quite bland as well.

I'm not sure if there's a new chef or what but the balti I ordered didn't taste right at all and the lamb was so chewy.

Ceylon was a little bit bland… Karahi was very nice but we did expect a lot more flavour in the Ceylon. Was very average.

We used this so called indian take away for the 1st time 1st time Saturday. Ordered to be delivered at 7.15 as per their website and it turned up at 6pm. The food was disgusting, all we could eat was the rice and chicken tikka. I complained straight away and was told oh we will look after you next time. I said NEVER AGAIN !!!!! The rest went straight in the bin . Absolutely shocking

2 baltis were very watery and korma was very sweet and very disappointed as usually always amazing , alot of money spent and nobody ate it

I bought a selection of dishes to bring home to France with me the following day. Not strictly 5 stars but very good. Sag Aloo was a little bland but everything else was lovely. The Tarka dall was especially tasty. Friendly staff and comfy sofa while waiting which wasn't long.

Do not buy. You won’t believe this in my rice. I found two nails that you bang into a wall with a hammer metal no I am not kidding to apologise they sent up a bag of chips and a Coke unbelievable

As always absolutely spot on, fresh juicy chicken cooked in the perfect sauce! Nans hot and fresh, rice perfectly cooked never yet has the spice let me down every time is a little bit nicer!

I called the restaurent to just try get a update as it had updated to "delivered" when it hadnt been only to be answered with a "what do you want" with an aggressive tone. I don't have a clue what I did and the phone signal was awful. Upon trying to explain the issue I was hung up on. Severely disappointed and the delivery apologised for the time which is fine but, the way I was treated wasn't warrented at all. I did nothing to cause such a outburst and phrase. The food isn't to its normal standard either. Normally it is lovely. I don't understand the aggression I recieved and sudden hanging up.

The food tasted good. The chili rice was spicier than expected. When picking up I had to wait a few minutes until someone was available.

Got my meal but was cold my wife’s food was missing so phoned the restaurant and got no joy said would phone be back but never did rip off merchants food has no taste if I where you I would give it a wide berth

As a vegetarian, I was attracted to this restaurant because it offered several vegetable main dishes at a good price. The main dish I had was vegetable dhansak and it was gorgeous. Also the Niramish was excellent too. I'll be eating here again.

This is the third time I have ordered from The Spice and it didn’t disappoint. Great food only one comment each dish seemed to have 7 pieces of meat . We are a family of 4 so had to disappoint someone !

Food was swimming in sauce with poor taste, very runny, more like casserole than curry

Honestly not a good Indian at all. Several different dishes were ordered and it was clear that they were all cooked in the same sickly sweet korma-like sauce. Samosas could have been from Iceland, onion bhajis dry, everything else mediocre at best. The only thing we enjoyed were the poppadoms. 2/10 would not recommend.

Beautiful, Both Pilau rice were light and moist but not sticky like dough balls. Murgh Byangs were exactly as described and went down a treat. Poppadoms were light and crispy and not too crispy, best I have had in Dover. Nan breads were lovely and not burnt like a lot of takeaways Lastly the onion bhajis were actually round balls like they were many many years ago. Better than the flat squished things thats turned out nowadays. Until The Spice fails me, this is now my Indian from now on so don't fail me. Thank you for 2 lovely meals 👍👍👍👍

Unfortunately there was no king prawns in the tandoori it was normal sized prawns that were like little rubber bullets. The tandoori has more of a sweet flavour than anything else not what you expect when paying over £12. The chicken byang (chefs special) seemed like a korma again very saucey. Unimpressed with the food really which is a shame. Things have down hill

We usually order the same thing but unfortunately this time round it was too spicy to eat. We’re used to a bit of spice but this was too much. Really disappointed as this was our go to curry takeaway.

My Partner and I ordered a Chicken Madras & a Vegetable Madras. As my partner prepared her meal, the Vegetable Madras, she was appalled to receive a dish with a quarter of a potato swimming in a bizarre red curry sauce. There was some finely diced vegetables and a suspicious wrinkly broad bean which she could have “cracked her teeth on”. My partner was dissatisfied with the quality of the fodder. She decided to phone the Spice to see if they could replace the “inedible dish”. We were happy to return the ‘curry’ dish. She was met by an unpleasant individual who shouted at her and became “hysterical” during the conversation. The Chicken Madras consisted of some chicken swimming in a bizarre red curry sauce. That was it. We will not be using the Spice ever again. Disappointed!!!

This food was delicious, they had a great choice and some really different things available. We have never ordered fish before and thought we would give it a try. It was so good . Everything arrived hot and would definitely recommend and use again

Delivery was brilliant, food was not good. Chicken tasted off, stringy, couldn’t eat it. Naan was soggy and wet in parts. Not an appetising meal. Won’t order again!

Over priced for what it is. We ordered, and when it was delivered were charged £15 more than quoted on the phone, had no choice but to pay. Food was nice and good portion size but felt like we’d been taken for a ride .

The curry was too runny, chips were greasy, poppadoms were dry and there was a hair in my food. Just Eat wasn’t interested in resolving this, and then deleted my review from their site.
