My TOP recommendation for somewhere to eat in Kingston. I used to live in Kingston and have been visiting The Souvlaki from when they had a stall in the market. I’m so happy they have a shop, and visiting last night proves the food and staff are still a 10/10. Delicious food for reasonable prices and the staff are so friendly and caring. They cater for vegetarians and vegans and the quality is always amazing. This place is a MUST ❤️

Terrible at delivery, do not ever think of ordering from them. Earliest you’ll get your food is almost 2 hours, if you are willing to eat at dinner order your food lunchtime! Ridiculous service!

I tried many greek restaurants but after i tried this one,i never went back to any other. I even went to Greece for Gyros and this one is better than that. Best takeaway option. Meat is hot and juicy and fries never soggy, proper amount of sauce. Great.

My favourite Greek place! Their gyros are the best I've had. Quality hasn't dropped since they opened in 2017-2018.

Driver had too many deliveries. They were sent up to Roehampton area before coming back past the restaurant to deliver our meal, which although delicious was Luke warm. We understand that drivers may have to do several deliveries at a time but maybe next time don't send out orders in opposite directions.

Use to be a regular customer here, haven’t had the food in a while so made an order.. I am disappointed with the decline in quality. Meat still lovely though! The rest, disappointing and all the food arrived cold and past my delivery window. Also Driver was waiting at the restaurant for a long time.

Decent but they need to limit deliveroo orders and prioritise in person as the wait on a Saturday was horrific for what should be fast food. Also lack of seating and was only a single chef too which explains some of the huge wait.

Popped in for dinner while the kids were in Pryzm and couldn’t believe what I discovered - only the best Greek fast food I’ve found in the UK! Souvlaki just like I’ve had in Corfu, Crete and Zante over the years right in the centre of Kingston. Good value and staff were really friendly. I ordered a regular box which had a chicken skewer, halloumi, chips, pitta, salad and tzatziki, it was £10 and it was massive, really filling. Popped back again for drinks after Pryzm with the kids. Highly recommended, and reminded me of Nick the Greek in California. Much better than that Real Greek high street restaurant chain. Definitely coming back!

Absolutely love The Slovlaki! Greek food in the heart of Kingston packed with flavour. The gyros is our go to and the chips (fries) are delicious too. I’m super fussy with chips so that says a lot!! It’ll be difficult to chose what to eat as it’s all so great!

I'm Greek, I know what a good souvlaki looks and taste like. I also know hiw much a normal portion should be. We bought the large portion and surprisingly it had 2 souvlaki sticks in the boxx, the Large portion....the normal portion even in London area has 4 sticks. To pay £12.5 for the this low quality food and the reduced portion is simply unacceptable! That was the last time guys. Sorry!

This place has the best Greek gyro wraps I have been able to find in London. Unfortunately, it's becoming quite pricey. Nevertheless, I highly recommend it!

I visit this place for far away only for this Greek souvlaki because I’m from Greece. The wrap pork was absolutely bad. The meat was uncooked and with bad tasty. Potatoes was great and tsatsiki was very good.but never again for souvlaki here. Sorryyy.. I forgot the coke diet also was very good 😅

Amazing atmosphere, delicious food and lovely owners. I took my Kingston University students to The Souvlaki at Kingston upon Thames today and we enjoyed very warm welcome. All 30 orders were cooked on the spot, at fast-paced and served straight away. The taste is just mouth-watering.

Lovely place nice food it’s not the healthiest but it’s still healthy if it makes sense? The food is fresh and tasty it’s probably my favourite place in Kingston I love that they make food fresh and the staff is very friendly can’t fault this place!

Lovely food - best Greek food in the area by far. And the steak is better than most steak houses, full of flavour and well seasoned food. One thing I’d love to see is hallumi available as a side/ extra on the takeaway menu. Highly recommend.

I will always speak highly of soulvaki. Yes, you usually have to wait a short while for your food but it will always, always be worth it. The lady serving is always kind and recognises myself and my partner whenever we come in! The food is always delicious and I will never get tired of the chicken gyros! Closest to authentic Souvlaki in the area. I’ve been to various Greek islands at least 30 times over the years. I’ve tried all the local Greek restaurants in the Kingston/Twickenham/Richmond area. This is the closest you can get, locally, to proper Souvlaki. Particularly the pork. My only suggestions would be: on Deliveroo, have an option to swap chips for extra pita. Be a tad more generous with your herbs. Actual Greek salad with the box meals rather than lettuce, tomato, onion. All of the above can be managed by prepping a proper Greek salad at home or ordering extra. It’s the quality of the meat, the (perfect) cooking of it and the seasoning that is key, and these folks have more or less nailed it locally.

The Souvlaki wrap with the delicious Souvlaki sauce just tastes amazing. We had the Halloumi and Chicken Souvlaki wraps which were equally as great. We always receive excellent service and great food.

The pita was huge which is a plus, The potatoes were huge which is not. And the meat even though we ordered the large portions, was tiny. Way too pricey, 2£ more than other similar restaurants. The sitting area was ok-ish with the tables being too close together. Wouldn't recommend that.

Quick dinner with partner. We opted for the meal deal is £11. Ordered one chicken and one pork gyros. Very filling but you get your moneys worth. Friendly helpful staff always happy to help.

Being Greek, I was brought up with souvlaki. I'd say the pork cubes are above average, the gyros wrap is average, the plain gyros is below average (a little dull, should be more crispy). The chips are the frozen type. I do buy from there occasionally as the experience is definitely withn the "Greek range". BUT it is a very strange restaturant if you want to take away food. Unless you order online for collection, you will probably not be served as the waiting time would have been excruciating, or you have to wait a very very long time. I never had to because I either left or I ordered online prior to going there. Basically it is a delivery factory. They take too many orders and have optimised production line for that purpose. It is not really a take away shop of the traditional type. Once I adapted to ordering online first, things started going fairly smoothly. Waiting times are 10-15 mins. I did not experience what some other customers describe: Missleading waiting times. If anything the lady there always advises people not to wait and when they insist how long they have to wait, she does say the truth (30-50 mins usually).

This place is literally God sent, the best souvlaki in London, HOWEVER they are almost never open which really ruins the shop’s reputation.

Pathetic. Went last Wednesday 11th May 630 pm after checking website showing closed Monday and Tuesday as it has happened before that I’ve gone TWICE when it says should be open and it’s closed. Well what a surprise. Rocked up and dark and …closed. No sign and no website note. Wow. I will never go again as it’s the third time. Last time the large pork giros was also poor quality and very gristly so I thought I would try one more time as I have been going for a long time when I could eat in. The chef owner is a law o to himself and loves to come back and abuse customers who leave a negative review of anything so no doubt he will be at it here…anybody who used to eat in before vivid I’m sure would have also heard him yelling at the poor girl on the till too constantly. It’s like faulty towers. I have been going for years but that’s it. Deteriorating quality of yiros and such unreliable opening times are it and I’m done. Opens when he wants and stuff people who rely on what is posted. Never again. Don’t waste your time. There are a lot more Greek places open now so don’t pander to this place’s ego.

Definetly the greatest place in Kingston. Friendly staff who really care about the food they give to the customers, cleanliness and everything else! Dont pay attention to "food takes too long". Because the restaurant is amazing and popular, sometimes the queues are long and its also not a fast food restaurant for the food to be made in 1-5 minutes ; )

Ordered at 6:30 on Deliveroo, food eventually came at 8:20, lukewarm & insipid. Hardly any meat in all 3 of the pittas but plenty of chips & sauce to hide the fact. £40 for what were basically cold chip butties & a few cubes of cheap meat. Used to be good but not anymore.

Great small place who runs by real Greek family! Quality of the food always great. Yes sometimes you need to stay in the queue. But it’s worth to wait a bit. Vegetarian 🌱 friendly! Love souvlaki with the Halloumi cheese ! Even better then in Greece 🇬🇷 last week .
