We ate outside and watched the busy world go by. Very attentive service, nice appetizers and delicious pizzas. We thoroughly enjoyed our late afternoon meal there.

This place was so good!! The garlic bread was delicious, and so was my pasta! The atmosphere was so cozy and nice, and yet there was plenty of tables!! 10/10 recommend!!

Decided to stop by Stone while starving, having lived in the Kingston area for 10+ years without ever having gone in. It's been open for longer than I've been here, so I assumed it must be at least decent. Glad to say this might be the best pizza I've had in the UK. I took a Capricciosa (so sauce+cheese & ham, mushroom, olives) for £12.50 and I was unable to really find any room for improvement. You can also get it cheaper - read the bottom paragraph. Charred but soft and tasty crust (and I'm always a crust-leaver!!), great relatively thin base, very good sauce base and toppings that all "tasted expensive". Definitely authentic-Italian style and not just a cheap imitation. The lady apologised to me for what was just over a 10 minute wait... from being seated to having the pizza and sides!! Atmosphere inside is nothing extraordinary, but quite warm and pleasant, with nice and fitting decor. Good location as well - Kingston Central, right off Eden Street. Stone is one of those rare finds that seems to be good for everything - a cheap meal, a romantic date or a get-together with friends. Safe to say I'll be coming back again! 😊💜 ⚠️ Worth knowing: The restaurant itself is rather small, although it has outdoor seating too. It is a fair bit cheaper (£6.95-9.95) to get their meals takeaway rather than dining in (abt. £12-15?).

Great pizza, lovely waiters and a friendly atmosphere.

The Tagliatelle Steak Pasta was absolutely delicious! The steak was cooked to perfection, and the pasta was creamy and flavorful. A must-try dish! The fish pizza was a delightful surprise! The service was warm and inviting, ensuring a comfortable dining experience.

I had a really lovely experience here!! I have been here a few times now and it is my go to place now. It is the best Italian I have been to and know locally in the area. The staff are always so friendly and lovely!! The food is always so fresh and tasty, I would recommend this place to all of my friends and family!

We ate at this restaurant this evening and five minutes after being seated, the restaurant filled up. The food was excellent and the restaurant really cosy. I was so impressed with Panos, who single handedly took the orders for every table, whilst at the same time, sorting out deliveries. All of this was done in a friendly, efficient manner. Quite possibly, the best service I have ever encountered in a restaurant. Service is not included in the check, so please take this into account whilst rewarding the hard working staff.

I went for a very long walk and part way through really hankered after a good pizza. I googled and found my way to this place. I sat outside, watching Kingston life walk by. The pizza was perfectly acceptable. What wasn't acceptable was the two people on separate tables who thought it was fine to have video conference calls on their phones with friends/family with the tinny microphones turned up loud. I've noticed this is also starting to happen on the train. I'm not sure why people think this is okay and don't appreciate that others really don't want to hear their conversation. One of the two people was clearly bored and just kept phoning various people from her address book. Get some headphones. Or better still a book. This had nothing to do with the restaurant and hasn't affected my rating, and they did ask one of the people to turn down her phone. I just feel better for writing it down.

Bolognaise tasted like it was made yesterday and heated up in the microwave … pizza looked great though, service also good.

What a find, just proves that Trip Advisor can still be relied upon! We were attending a concert at Pryzm and wanted food before we went so called in there and the gentleman was very friendly and attentive. Excellent service, prompt etc, and food was lovely - we just had pizzas, but they were spot on. Not burnt like many chains do, and the base was a decent well made base, not like some chains. Whilst it was prompt service, you were not rushed and had plenty of time between a starter (just garlic bread to share) and the main meal. Very relaxing. Mains of - Margherita, Siciliana, and Nico, all tasty and the Nico was spot on, flavoursome but not too spicy. Idea of aubergine on a pizza is a cracking idea and the wife loved it. Good selection of drinks and everything was very reasonably priced. Couldn't fault anything, and what makes a nice change is that there is no service charge added - when restaurants do this, do reward them with a cash tip! It means a lot to them. Will definitely go again when down for another concert. Well done!

Met with friends in Stone Pizza - really lovely staff - very patient with us as we spent so much time chatting and not ordering! Great food and music was in the background and did not interfere with our talking! We will be back!

Great food, wonderful service and relaxing atmosphere. We had their most popular pasta dishes- carbonara and bolognese along with a pepperoni pizza. All three dishes were delicious!

Food was disappointing to be honest. The garlic bread was good but the pizza was super bland.

I was pretty skeptical when people mentioned that the staff were really racist - but they were actually really kind to me. I'm a chinese person, but they treated me really nicely and were just all in all amazing. At the very least I couldn't tell if they were racist which is great. Atmosphere is really nice, dark and ambient, quite the scenic view for a date or a casual nights out. Fancy aesthetic which I enjoy with a reasonable price point. I personally love the pizza since I enjoy a greasy pizza, but that being said some people may not like a greasiness. However, give it a try anyhow since it's the best pizza I've had out of Franco Manca and Pizza Express's.

A normal tradition for my friend and I is to end our night out with a sit down restaurant for food, normally it would be Pizza. We quite often land between Stone and Al forno for their great food and our dinner here was the perfect example of why Stone is one of our favorite restaurants in Kingston! We went fairly late in the evening near closing time and was greeted by Phanos who was the server along with the front of house man. He kindly greeted us and gave us a table in the corner where we had a chance to speak with him. He was really patient with us when we ordered starters but needed a little more time on our mains. He was nice, attentive and super helpful when we asked for some dipping sauces. We started with Calamari which was cooked great and the pizza is a great, reasonably priced choice. They even cook is out of a built in stone oven which reminded me of my Pizza back in NY! If you get the chance, try Stone. Its great for all occasions and the staff are wonderful.

Guys-such a shame that your pollo Milanese is now frozen and not fried fresh. Also that you no longer include bread with the prawn gamberoni. Your food was much better in the past. I wouldn’t mind paying more money for better quality. Cheapest isn’t always best,

Just been here for the first time as working in Kingston this week. I had a florentina pizza and it was honestly one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten

It was a pasta feast this time with the family at Stone Pizza. Very delicious and reasonably priced. The service is great too. Unlike other restaurants, service is not included. It is optional, but we were very happy to leave a tip.

Pizza was too chewy the crust. Garlic bread couldn't taste sea salt only rosemary. Overall wouldn't order again but on a positive when I went inside to dine previously it was good so maybe delivery is not good only.

Always great food and service, it's the place I love to go to when having a special day with my daughter. Staff are lovely, it's very clean and pizza yummy (I am partial to the chocolate soufflé too!)

Had a very enjoyable lunch here with a friend. We both had a pasta dish each, mine was pasta and salmon, which was delicious. We also shared the equally yummy homemade tiramisu. The staff were very attentive. Very authentic Italian. Highly recommend this little gem.

I had an amazing time at stone pizza, my server was wonderful. She said her name was nicole, she was running back and forth the whole time I was there and yet still had time to meet my every need and sprinkle a fun chat inbetween. Even when we did get a little natter in, nicole still was able to notice and jump to other customers in need, a truly impressive waitress! She made me feel very welcome and ran the front of house all by herself. Nicole really brightened my day and makes some simply delicious cocktails such as the 'kiss on the beach' which went down a treat with my caesar salad. I will 100% be coming back for the food and service!

My family of 6 had a wonderful meal here today .It was a lovely atmosphere .Our waitress worked very hard and i thought she was very friendly .She gave a very good customer care and seemed to be the only one there.The pizzas were very tasty and a reasonable price for the size of pizza .I recommend the Stone Pizza for its pleasant atmosphere.If you want a place to chat freely with your friends then this is the place .Well done to all the staff for an enjoyable day .

Surprisingly good. Wasnt expecting much but service was good and food fresh and promptly served. Desserts seemed frozen but not the end of the world. Can't leave a tip unless it's cash though.

I’ve just had a gorgeous solo dinner here, the staff were friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere very relaxed and the food delicious. I had the melanzane and Quattro formaggi pizza and it was wonderful. Will absolutely come back.

I'd seen this restaurant many times over the years and always intended to visit but hadn't. Today my husband and I were on a shopping trip to Kingston together and decided to get lunch to fortify ourselves before starting! Pizza was what we fancied, from the well-known pizza chain. We walked to where there used to be a branch and found it had gone! Then to its other branch at the Rotunda, where we were met with such a wall of sound from the many young children there that we turned straight back out again! My immediate thought was then to finally try nearby Stone! It is very conveniently situated extremely close to the Rotunda, Kingston bus station, Kingston train station and the shops, surrounded by many other little pavement cafes and restaurants. While it is in a busy thoroughfare, this is one of the calmest restaurants I have visited! It is small inside, with around seven inside tables, so I would think booking is advisable in the evening. It has an unusual and attractive decor. There is nice soft music playing in the background at just the right level. The big plus in summer is that it has plenty of pavement seating in a cordoned off area with a blind above. If like me you are not a sun-worshipper, then at lunchtime, and I suspect the rest of the day, these are nice shaded tables due to the direction they face. We made a snap decision to eat inside, which was fine, but as today was warm it felt a bit hot and sticky, so in retrospect we would sit outside another time (couldn't see any wasps, always a bonus)! There was some kind of AC or fan unit on the ceiling but it wasn't on. Our waitress was lovely and very efficient, and our drinks and food arrived with perfect timing. Just a pizza each, a Peroni, and a house wine for me, all very nice. The Fiorentina pizza I had planned on having at the chain restaurant was also offered here and was very nice! The pizza bases, being stone-baked, do have that thick crust around the side, and I always find that in the end they are too filling, so we did leave some of that, but not because it wasn't good! Husband's Nico pizza also good. Plenty on the menu as well as pizza - lots of pasta dishes and salads. Prices entirely reasonable for what we had, in my view. This is such a calm oasis in a busy part of Kingston and we will certainly be back again, and I'm looking forward to trying their other pizza and pasta dishes, as everything coming out to other tables also looked very good!

Completely blatant racist staff. Servers could be heard making disgusting comments about foreigners and how they should not be allowed to enter this establishment.. If that’s what you can even call this place. Pathetic

Unfortunately my friend and I did not have the best experience here. The servers today made some racist remarks about our ethnicity and thought we couldn’t hear their conversation behind the counter but our table was right beside them and we heard everything. When they realized we were listening and noticed that we were upset, they quickly changed the topic. Completely ruined our dinner and our outlook on London.

Visiting from North America on a work trip, decided to try this place, everything was good till we overheard the two servers behind the bar that was right next to our table make a comment about our American accents and ethnicity, how we Americans don’t speak proper English, and he asked his coworker why he let Indian ppl in. We also witnessed him refuse another Indian family at the door. DISGUSTED. Will never ever go back here and neither will my coworkers who are always in town. Will share this experience in UK years to come. Please learn to respect people and their ethnicities.

Sadly, my pizza was undercooked. The mushrooms on the pizza were barely cooked...more hot and raw really, and the pizza lacked that "wood fired" flavour that comes with parts of the crust being well cooked (slightly charred... the signature really of a wood fired pie)...the ham was disappointingly just bog standard sliced ham rather than something along the lines of Prosciutto.. I mean c'mon guys... it's supposed to be Italian. A simple pizza of ham and mushroom, let down as both ingredients, and the base were not approached with love. The three (four with cheese) components of a simple pizza need to each individually shine to make a great pizza...this was edible (even bad pizza tastes "good"), but no where near special... I wouldn't go back, let's put it that way.

The pasta is actually alright but the margarita pizza was horrid. I have had better pizzas from kebab shops

Great little pizza restaurant in Kingston, the pizzas were lovely with a nice thin base and great quality toppings. The chicken Caesar salad had freshly prepared warm chicken on it and was delicious. calamari – as you expect and the prawns were very nice and a spicy tomato sauce. Service was friendly- recommended.

This Italian restaurant on the corner of Kingston Town, was a beautiful find. 10/10 with their food, portion size, service. I will definitely be visiting again. Spent £20 each on overall 2 mains, 1 starter and 1 drink - quite average.

This pizza express is nicely designed and has great views. The ambience is great for a special meal out. Staff are friendly and alert. Food is great, from pastas to pizzas and starters. Would definitely recommend their dough balls.

I just ordered a pizza here. The WORST pizza I have bar had. Cheese tastes like nothing, Tomato takes like nothing. I had one slice and felt so embarrassed I asked them to put it in a take away box and left. Gave it to a homeless man and made his day. Huge waste of money.

As good as it gets! Absolutely delicious pizza! My wife and I had the pepperoni pizza, and it was seriously difficult to find any room for improvement. The sauce was mild and gentle, the mozzarella was stringy and rich, the was strong and packed a lot of flavour, the dough was slightly crispy on the outside and had a warm and soft inside. I would have liked more tomato sauce and some fresh basil, but this is more personal preference. The service was excellent. The pice was in the higher side because we ate in. Take away is cheaper.

While in London during January and February, i visited this restaurant a couple of times. They serve truly Italian Pizza. Really tasty. It is so much different from what Pizza Hut and Dominos serve. With Chilly Olive oil , it tastes really amazing. Loved it. Would definitely visit this place again

We order regularly from Stone. The pizzas are tasty, made with quality ingredients, and the staff is always very nice.

Small review for a quick lunch in this restaurant. The service was simple and nice. Enjoyable atmosphere. Pizza better than many restaurants in the area, however the carbonara pasta was too cooked and garlic. I understand than English people like garlic, but it is wrong to going beyond a normal limit. We will try again for dinner time without rushing because I saw attractive plates around me.

Happened to come across this restaurant after walking down the street. With a try mentality, I went in with my family. The place was not big but the decoration and background music were comfortable. The food tastes were good, especially appreciated the fantastic service, we will definitely come again.

Our new favourite Pizza place (amazing pasta too). Staff are friendly, and food is always amazing. My ONLY complaint, is that they do not accept tips via card payments... I felt bad not being able to tip.. TAKE MY MONEY!! 🤗

Nice and intimate restaurant with really nice decor. Really warm welcome from our hostess. We had garlic bread and rosemary bread for starters and they were Devine!! So soft and doughy. My wife had risotto and I had pizza. Both increasingly tasty. Risotto was bursting with flavours. Pizza base was cooked to perfection, no charred base here! Good range of drinks too. Highly recommended.

Worst carbonara that I’ve ever tried. Still wondering why you say Italian if you have nothing that is Italian… never go back there again
