If you like old and alternative then this is the right hotel for you. Don’t expect a high class service and atmosphere. This is a very young team managing everything and i think they do a great job. The breakfast is spot on! And the rooms are nice and big. I have 2 negative points though: - the hotel is also a pub so it can be noisy now and then - the breakfast is in the pub area, so in the morning there still is this disgusting beer smell from the night before. The hotel has this very nice cocktail lounge area where you could actually have a nice peaceful breakfast with a tiny buffet. I don’t understand why they don’t do that. Overall it is a nice place to stay for a couple of days.

Four of us booked ourselves a random airbnb flat about three doors up to go to a live event on the beach. On our return to the airbnb, we decided to call into the bar for a drink before bed. Once we got our drinks and sat down at the front, I went to the toilet. I then heard more music and fun being had, so I adventured around only to find a great dj playing at the back and an amazing crowd of happy people dancing. I returned to our table to inform my friends that this place was indeed a "hidden gem" that had much more going on that you would have guessed by looking from outside. So, we took our drinks and continued dancing, even after multiple hours at the festival. My personal highlight was going to the bar and asking for some sort of non alcoholic drink for the warm weather (no longer a drinker), I felt like having a "nohito." Unfortunately, there was no mint. The friendly barman ( Mick?), said he would create something for me, so in trust of him, I sat down and watched him put so much love and talent into making me the most delicious and refreshing drink. Decorated with a twirly lemon skin and a branch of thyme burning on top. I was amazed at the attention to detail and the range of adjectives he was using to describe the flavour he was creating. Couldn't have dreamt of a better end to our already perfect day in Brighton. Groovy vinyl songs, a "Cuban" feel to the atmosphere and very comfortable seating to relax on. Thank you to all the kind staff for the experience, but a special thank you to Mick, I hope I remembered your name properly! 👏

Highly recommended. I booked this Artisan hotel for my friends 60th birthday. I have been before and loved the whole experience and hoped it wouldn’t disappoint, it was even better. The Southern Belle is a beautiful unique hotel. Staff are friendly, welcoming and amazing. All staff were individual and nothing was too much trouble. Thursday is ‘Open Mic Night’ which was great listening to local singers. I booked a table and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. They have a varied menu from small plates to main courses. Alice served breakfast which was very nice. Definitely looking forward to going back. They have a stunning bar area along with additional function rooms.

Stayed for one night, room was lovely and the location was ideal for us. We didn't have a drink but wished we did. The breakfast was also very good in the morning - would stay again.

My friends stayed overnight and I met them in the bar for a frozen margarita. The place is lovely, the lady serving us was really friendly (I watched her make a bloody Mary and she was telling me about the ingredients- so fascinating) and I would definitely come back. I didmt realise the place was there but now I know, I'm going to return! Thank you.

First time heading down to Brighton for a few years and we were looking for a place we hadn't tried before. Came across the Southern Belle and liked the look of it so took a punt. We were not disappointed. Loved the place from the moment we turned up. Despite being busy due to the Brighton Marathon being on, the staff were very attentive and welcoming from the moment we checked in. The look and feel of the place ticked all the boxes for us. The bar area has a great atmosphere, the room decor was great, food outstanding (awesome breakfast and had 2 evening meals too, sensational). Right across the road from the seafront which is what we want in Brighton, but away from the centre of town. And all of the staff deserve a shout out as they looked after us perfectly. It's only a small place, but I can't recommend it enough.

The best place to stay in Brighton, especially if you have a dog! Location is perfect to explore Brighton. The room was modern and spacious, breakfast was cooked to perfection and the staff were so lovely, helpful and welcoming throughout our entire stay. Couldn't recommend this place enough for anyone staying in Brighton.

The Southern Belle is a wonderful gem of a hotel, restaurant, and bar located right off of the beach. When you first walk in you’ll be greeted with an excellent bar where you can get a beer or you can step into the back with the cocktail lounge for a more relaxed drink. The rooms were fantastic with enough space to spread out and relax. Finally, make sure you get the breakfast or come down for dinner. You won’t regret your stay.

I love this hotel - friendly staff, great location in Hove - close to the sea and amenities. I loved the decor of the place and such a great vibe. Great breakfast and cool bar area. Highly recommend and will definitely return.... Thank you for a wonderful experience x

I have only been to the pub (they have rooms too) and like it a lot. It's a more traditional lovely pub just by the seafront, great vibes and service and one of the best Sunday roast I ever had!

Great little hotel with really really wonderful staff. Great breakfast too. Close to the beach and if you're lucky, you'll walk in on a wonderful Irish music session too! Fabulous place and everyone was so friendly.

The place was absolutely brilliant. We came with our two year old and they were so welcoming to us all. She was allowed to stay in one of the pub rooms until much later than she could manage! Great size room with lovely big window and a modern bathroom. Walk-in wardrobe space too. Super friendly staff and brilliant breakfast options. I'm not sure whether we'll be back to Brighton to stay again but I'll definitely recommend it to friends who visit. Tiny bit of feedback: a door stop for the door between the bathroom and the room would have been really useful when getting the pushchair and suitcases in and out.

This is for the restaurant's Sunday Roast on Mother's Day. First of all, the dining room is an eclectic mix of design that I think works well. We had a toddler with us - who was welcomed with open arms and treated as a star. I had lamb (and beef). Both meats were delicious. The roast potatoes were cooked to perfection. The gravy was delicious, and the stuffing was amazing. Portion sizes meant that I actually had no room for pudding. 🤣 The staff were welcoming, friendly and were attentive without being over the top. The price was more than reasonable. I will be eating here again.

What a beautiful boutique hotel / bar. Great location! Staff were lovely and helpful. Loved the quirky room / bathroom design; clean and cosy. I had the vegan breakfast … wow!!!!!!! I think it’s the best I’ve ever had! Absolutely delicious! I sat at a table by the window and had a view of the sea. The only slight negative was the music playing from the bar which could be heard in the bedroom, making it a little hard to sleep. Although I am sensitive to noise and wasn’t out late … so I’m partially to blame for that one. Saying that … I’d definitely stay here again.

Booked this place for our 40th and can't fault it, excellent private facilities, great food, and good drink selection. Highly recommended.

I was very happy with everything from the room with its attention to detail to the breakfast in the lounge. Location is great too.I am in hospitality myself and nothing goes unnoticed. I will definitely choose here again if I can!

Nice hotel with very friendly service. The rooms are large, the beds are comfortable and there is everything you need. The breakfast was really excellent. :) Unfortunately, the windows in the room always fog up despite being ventilated and there is a bit of a draft, otherwise all in all a perfect stay.

Cosy pub with rooms with great food, regular live music and friendly staff. Food is best described as traditional with a gastropub twist but on all our visits has been both delicious and plentiful. The bar is cosy and welcoming with a great beer selection and always a real ale on pump. Cocktails are a feature, complimented by the second bar and seating area to the rear of the pub. Live music and quiz nights run weekly and are well organised and friendly affairs. The second seating area always allows comfortable space for those who just want a quiet drink and a chat. The location is great, just a few steps from the beach and both Hove and Central Brighton are easily accessible so it makes a great destination for a beach walk. Can't wait to return.

Fab Sunday Roast! Our group ordered every variation of the roast and everyone was super happy with their food. Extra points for the ever so friendly and lovely staff who made sure to accommodate our friend with a bunch of dietary requirements. I'm confident anyone visiting will enjoy the food, location and atmosphere :-)

Just returned from three days at the Southern Belle and what a place this is. Our room was fantastic, huge bed, wonderful bathroom & shower and all very tastefully done. Staff are all so friendly and happy to help. The bar area is really cool and the food was great too. We enjoyed ourselves so much we've rebooked to go back in a few weeks. Such a lovely hotel. Nice sized room, cool decoration. Breakfast super tasty. Bathroom really nice but could have done with just a little bit of extra cleaning.

Great Afro/Carib food on this first (for a while) pop up kitchen. Food was good service excellent and usual super atmosphere from the great crew who work here- 😀😀

Nice place with a Bohemian touch. Good linen (crisp and thick cotton) and quality toiletries. Good breakfast as well. Seems to be run by a young couple who were very nice.

I booked the Southern Belle for my Wedding after party. I have been emailing and met face to face with a very lovely lady and booked the place. the fallowing day when i needed to ask for a confirmation ( before i order in the invitations) i recived an email from another lady (the manager) who advised me that she has been on holiday in Miami and i have been dealing with her staff and that there is a fee involved as well as i have to book all rooms above etc There was a lot more involved then I have been told originally. Also what made me step back when she kindly told me that doesnt need my booking as she has a very good business going and she has already reached her 12 a year big party bookings. Now this is what i found absolutelly arrogant and rude. I would of happily paid but not after this comment. The place itself is great! Lovely deco.

Firstly, on arrival we received a cordial and genuine welcome. Having booked a table for Sunday lunch it was ready for us. Despite being a buzzy and busy afternoon we were given attentive service. Lunch was delicious and thoughtfully served by the kitchen team. Where a great level of service becomes outstanding is that my friend took unwell during our visit, the level of care and attention we received was deeply heart warming. What we received was the purest and kindest experience that went beyond excellent customer service. A true reflection of the owners genuine passion to her patrons and hospitality. Many thanks.

Have been here a couple of times for drinks, but this time we had some wings/fries/peppers etc. The food was so yummy and we all enjoyed it. The staff are so lovely and very friendly. Would recommend a visit! Just a nice relaxing place to eat and drink and only a short walk from the sea.

Sad story of food was great, but customer service was poor... waited over an hour for our Sunday lunch because they had a table of 24 before us that caused the delay - not even a free drink offered! After we'd finished we were told, not that apologetically, that we'd have to finish our drinks at the bar as the next sitting for our table was waiting... hello?! Sort your bookings out!!! I won't go back - there's plenty of great places for Sunday lunch in Brighton other than the Southern Belle

Came here with my boyfriend for a Sunday roast. The staff were really friendly and attentive, the bar itself is done up really nicely and has a great atmosphere and the food was brilliant. Roast potatoes were crispy, yorkies some really well and my vegetarian wellington was really good. Some places we have been the vegetarian option has been a little disappointing but it’s clear that the southern belle put just as much effort into their veggie substitute as they do the meat. Thanks guys!

Came for our anniversary. Beautiful comfy room, enormous bed, well beyond the '2-star hotel' rating (we'll be looking out for those now!). It's 1min from the quieter part of the beach, but short walk to all the bars and usual haunts. After we checked out we strolled along the coast and enjoyed hot kipper rolls, watching the sea and dog walkers on the chilly autumn day. Wish we'd had space to return to the pub for the roast. Staff are v friendly and the place looked alive and ready for a perfect Sunday ahead.

Stayed here several times.... nice pub at the front with very comfy rooms upstairs. Continental breakfast as well.

Having won awards and have loads of people tell me about the Southern Belle I decided to go there with friends for a birthday roast dinner and we were all blown away. The pub is a nice place to be and the roasts are incredible. We have a mixture of vegan and meat ones, all of which got the thumbs up. Booking early is a necessity.

We made a reservation for Sunday lunch for 24 people to end a weekend away. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and we felt comfortable from the off! We were given a private room for the group which was beautifully decorated. The roast itself was amazing. Beautifully presented and cooked to perfection even with such a large group to cater for. Fantastic and highly recommend a visit.

Great venue, Brighton band stand for the wedding very close by. Food very good, staff amazing, nothing to much trouble. Accomodation very good.just remember this is Brighton so parking is not easy. Highly recommended 👍

Had an amazing weekend stay at The Southern Belle in Brighton. All the staff were very lovely and welcoming for the entire stay! We were lucky enough to be able to get a table for the delicious Sunday roast, the cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets were incredible. Great location & great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

We visited on Sunday 28th April and I was really disappointed. The gents toilets were very dirty and I visited as soon as the pub opened so there had been no-one else in there that day. I then helped someone else with their food later in the visit and was called a human dustbin by a member of staff. The food was quite nice but a better selection of vegetables would have been nicer.

Turned up on a beautiful sunny day for Sunday Mothers Day lunch with my family totalling 9 people. Escorted to a lovely side room which was nice and cool and very restful. The roast beef and Yorkshire pudding were marvellous and the vegetables amazing. Friendly helpful service from the waitress and so nice not to be hurried which made the day so relaxing. The pudding was great. Marvellous atmosphere in the pub which was buzzing. We all enjoyed the day.

We’ve tried a lot of roasts in Brighton & Hove, for that matter all over Sussex and this one is the best ! Highly highly recommended, super quality meats, divine roasties and Michelin star gravy.....well worth reserving and pre-ordering in advance. Good pub, just a little slow at the bar, an easy fix though and didn’t detract from the food.

After visiting the Grosvenor nearby and leaving we found this place. Very friendly Brighton Local full to the brim with a lovely atmosphere. We were lucky enough to get a table for Sunday lunch. I think you should book in advance. Lunch was lovely. Really enjoyable and great value. So pleased we found the Southern Belle.

We stayed at the Southern Belle pub and hotel for our anniversary and had the best time. The pub is very cozy with the friendliest staff, we were truly amazed by how welcoming they were. On top of that the food is incredible. I would highly recommend the Sunday Lamb roast!

We went for a Sunday roast here for my husbands 40th! The place was chocca but had a nice friendly vibe. We did have to wait for our table, but of course that was ok...and absolutely worth the wait too. The staff were really friendly and kept us completely informed with everything.

A busy bustling pub that recently won an award for its roast dinners. They were super busy and fitted me in without a reservation which was appreciated. The food was good, and the wine good too. Fair price. The service from the kitchen was slow, but they were packed.

We booked this ages ago for a Christmas lunch. Friends of ours have always raved about this as a venue but today it fell so short of the mark it beggars belief. We arrived at 2:30, And we had to wait ages to get a drink. The bar was clearly understaffed with only 2 people serving drinks, taking food orders and making coffees. We asked about our table - no booking even though our friends had checked only two weeks earlier. Eventually, they found us a table for four! There were six of us!! After complaining several times, the food eventually turned up two hours after we arrived. And, then it was cold. It was sent back. The staff were apologetic but, to be honest, I really didn’t give a damn by then. We just wanted to eat and go. We wanted the Christmas menu but turkey and chicken were off. Victoria Wood (god bless her) couldn’t have written a worse script and we would have welcomed a couple of soups if they’d been hot but instead had to make do with rubbery Yorkshire’s, plastic potatoes and coagulated gravy - yey merry Christmas everyone. We decided not to wait for pudding as We Have A Life and didn’t want to waste it in a Brighton pub pretending to be a restaurant. We won’t be back and a doubt that any of our friends will be either. What a shame.

Hugely impressed with the roast we had last night. Hands down the best I've had in Brighton, service was also extremely good even with the pub being very busy due to a show over the road. Will definitely be returning, probably frequently!

I thought I’d try The Southern Belle Pub for a Sunday Roast, I’d read other peoples reviews about the food and service, I now wander if there only experience of dining out was in Wetherspoons. I booked the day before and was advised to preorder, this I did. Simple. I turned up 30 mins early and was met with a cold uninterested response by the barman.not the greatest of starts. We ordered wine and waited for our table. The interior itself was nicely decorated, cosy and warm. We were then directed to our table and our order confirmed with the manager. We waited, and waited, and waited some more.... after an hour had passed a barmaid came and cleared our empty glasses and empty wine bottle, there was no attempt to ask if we were ok or would like more drinks, she couldn’t get away quick enough. We waited some more and everntually an hour and a half later we got our dinner after asking the waitress. It was ok, nothing great but not bad.... when the waitress brought the food out there was no questions to ask if we’d like drinks, there was no check back to see if it was ok. I had great expectations for this place but I wouldn’t bother. If you want a good Sunday roast and any form of customer service go elsewhere.... there is to much competition to be this lacking in service standards. The basics just weren’t there.

It’s not a surprise that The Southern Belle recently won Best Roast in Brighton, their roasts are amazing! Really high quality, really tasty and really generous portion sizes. The cauliflower cheese side was especially good. Can’t fault it.

We turned up yesterday , a party of 10 for Sunday Roast .We were recomended by 2 members of the party . The meal was a great success , good quality and generous portions.

We were staying at the hotel and when friends came by to collect us for dinner, a 'drink before we go' turned into 'let's just eat here's which turned out to be a great choice. We variously had pork belly, sirloin burger, falafel. Everyone really enjoyed their choice and the room is cozy, lively but very comfortable. A definite yes!

Arrived bang on time to try this Sunday Roast. Table was not ready so sat at a smaller one. Had to ask if we ordered at bar and had to get a menu. When went to place our order was then told there was no vegetarian or pork left. Two were going to try the vegetarian. In the end we ordered 4 chicken, ahead of a table of 5 who also were unaware of what was left to order. We were told that there would be a half hour delay max as they were serving a party of 35 in the back!

I can’t review the food because we didn’t actually receive any. We arrived bang on time for a 3pm reservation. After 2 hours we still hadn’t had any food at all so asked for our money back and left. It was chaotic noisy and unpleasant. A restaurant that can’t deliver food - what’s there to review?

My partner and I found ourselves in the southern belle on the hunt for a roast dinner (google said it was one of the best in Brighton and we were nearby). Unfortunately we were met at the bar by a very lovely member of staff who told us they were fully booked and had been all week! I could’ve cried at this point as I was now getting hangry, so I thought a G&T; would be the best way forward and my partner had a pint (great selection of gins also). A few minutes later, the manager came over to us and said there was a table available if we could eat in an hour (hell yes I could). My partner ordered the lamb and I had the chicken. The food came out pretty quickly and oh my goodness, we were not disappointed! The lamb was incredible, I’m not usually a fan of lamb, but this was the most incredible lamb I have ever had. My chicken was also delicious. We also went for the cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets which were also great. Staff were so lovely and the food could not be faulted. Will definitely be returning, but will book next time.

We stayed at The Suthern Bell and hear about their famous Sunday Roast. So we wanted to try it. We booket a table the day before. But it turns out that you have to book 3 weeks in advance.. But because we stayed in the hotel they managed to find a table for us. Unfortunately we weren't able to get the roast, because the kitchen burned it!.. So we got chicken and lamb. And it was really good..

Went here for a family Sunday roast. We were sat in a strange theatre room, complete with abandoned stage. There had been a staff party there the night before and balloons and debris had been left everywhere. The tables were just plastic fold away tables with DUVET covers as table cloths!!! Food was good but the bar service was very slow. Maybe if we were sat in a different room with actual tables it might have been better but it’s not somewhere I could recommend.

First time eating Sunday roast at Southern Belle. Obviously with a reputation to live up to as the winner for Sunday Roasts in the recent food awards. Thankfully, it did not disappoint.

The pub has recently won an award for the the quality of it's Sunday roasts, so it is to be expected that on a dull Sunday afternoon it might be busy. However, for whatever reason this pub didn't seem able to cope with the amount of people in the pub. Considering you have to prebook a table, this shouldn't be as big an issue as it obviously is.

Recently stayed at the southern belle for 2 nights our room was very nice and clean, bed was huge with a fan overhead great in this hot weather, breakfast was really nice coffee was great. I would definitely stay there again when back in Brighton, staff was helpful and friendly.

We were very impressed by our experience at The Southern Belle.

We were keen to try the Southern Belle due to all the hype around the Sunday roast and it did not disappoint! The lamb was plentiful and tender, the veggies were just right and the Yorkshire was amazing! We got the cauliflower cheese (which is a must have as was packed with flavour and cheese!) as a side and it worked beautifully. Ensure that you book a table. The service was amazing and was made to feel truly welcome and at home.

Definitely the place to go for the best Sunday roast dinner in town. The portions are generous, the food is delicious and the staff are wonderful. It's now a firm family favourite. This pub is dog friendly too.

Visited for a family Sunday lunch and had booked a table, (advisable if you want to be sure to get a table). Pub was busy but staff were friendly and had time for us. Good selection of beers in good condition. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. The roast lamb was beautifully cooked and there were plenty of vegetables served with it. Best Sunday pub roast I have had in a while. Looking forward to my next visit.

We were blown away by the amazing service when we booked very late via booking.com after we needed to stay in the Brighton area on business. The staff were quite simply amazing when we booked about 10pm and they had our rooms ready by 10.30pm, when we checked in. 4 of us stayed in 3 bedrooms. 2 doubles and a twin. All of the rooms were large, well appointed with modern clean shower rooms. Sadly we did not get a chance to eat as we left early the following morning but were able to have a drink at the bar to sample the friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

went today for my sister in laws birthday, always difficult as she loves her Sunday roast and knows what she likes, luckily it got a thumbs up all round, a lovely bit of chicken for me with a yorkshire pud !! lovely fresh veg and gravy , absolutely lovely, belly pork and nut roast for the girls followed by the best sticky toffee pudding . great service from all the staff, a lovely Malbec and a great pint of lager. Cant wait to go back and try something else

Me and my partner stayed here last weekend. We were instantly greeted by the manager who helped us with our cases and showed us to our room. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfy. I felt totally at ease the whole time and all the staff were so friendly. The pub downstairs was always busy, full of locals who clearly love the hotel vibe. You can pay £10 on the sea front to park from 9-8 everyday. We didn’t actually eat in the hotel but the food smelt amazing. Great location, you are close enough, but far enough away from the hussle and bustle of the main city centre.

My partner found this place on-line and we decided to book for a weekend break (Fri/Sat night). We know the area well (being from just down the coast ourselves) so a base within walking distance of the centre was what we were after as we had plans for a gig Friday and train to the football Saturday.

This is our new favourite spot for Sunday roast, we have drunk in here a few times but never eaten and it didn’t disappoint. The roast was one of the best I’ve had with amazing roasties and Yorkshire’s, and the service was fabulous, Zara is a proper star!

My family and I had roast beef dinner earlier. The beef was melt in the mouth and so full of flavour. Roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. Yorkshire pud was huge, light, and really lovely - no oil at all. The vegetables were tasty and fresh and al dente. There was proper gravy, so rich and full of flavour I had an extra pot. Even the accompanying horseradish was quality.

My daughter booked a table for 3 for a Mothers Day lunch. We were sat at a couple of smallish round tables, which was fine. After we had ordered the landlady came over and asked us if we would mind if she took one of the tables for someone else as the pub was so busy. We said that we didn't mind and thought no more about it. Then she came back and offered us a free drink each as a thank you. Really impressed with that.

I have eaten here once before and brought the family back for the delicious pork belly. This time I had a wonderful cut of roast beef, cooked to perfection with a superb handmade Yorkshire on the side. Beautiful and interesting vegetables and lots of fabulous gravy. The staff are all super and very welcoming. This is a by the by- it was Mother’s Day and there were quite a few smallish children who were incredibly WELL BEHAVED and a delight to be around, so it shows the nice customers too.

The pub looks great, and the pople there is absolutely lovely. I recommend to anyone who would like to visit a pub which contributes to the local community and welcomes strangers and visitors as well. I cannot complain about anything, I can just recommend it! Didn't try to food or the Hotel part though, but that will change soon.

Warm welcome! Room was lovely and modern. Super dog friendly. As a new dog owner I can truly say that when I entered our room you would not have known that dogs may have used this room previously. Super clean!

Great pub, fab food and the staff are all super lovely! Children and dogs welcome too. Highly recommended on every level.

The roasts here are amazing. Great portions, delicious yorkie, potatoes properly cooked, good selection of veg and the cauliflower cheese (although you have to buy as an extra) is to die for!!!

Needed a local room for the night and stayed at the Southern Belle. Decided to have a Sunday roast late afternoon, and have to say probably best roast I have had in ages. Pork Belly was cooked to perfection, and so were the veg. The land lady was so accomodating and made you feel really looked after. I could not find the Southern Belle listed on hotels on tripadviser. But if you need a room, they are really good value for Brighton / Hove, I stayed in room 1 which was spacious, really nicely done, very comfy. 5 stars all round for this place.

This was my first time at The Southern Belle. A friend had recommended it, and I took some visiting friends there with their little dog.

We visited The Southern Belle for a late lunch, about 3.30pm ish, with four children and a large dog. We had a friendly reception, was allocated a room at the back due to our parties size and it was all very warm and welcoming. A fairly small and simple menu so not a lot of choice but good options. Food arrived in good time. Really good kids portions, really good adult portions, super quality ingredients and very well cooked and presented. I'm exceptionally fussy with restaurants and eat out regularly in central London but I couldn't find fault with what was served to us by The Southern Belle. It was superb and I would happily go again.

A group of us popped into the Southern Belle for an afternoon drink as part of a 'Christmas' day out. We were made to feel really welcome by staff and other customers . The bar has a lovely feel to it. We will definitely return for more than one drink in the new year and also try the food.

They decided to hold a fundraiser the night we were staying, which was for a good cause, however they did not bother to inform us that it would be occurring! So when we returned from a long day out at 7pm, to extreme noise, we were told to put the tv on the highest volume and wait it out. Volume 70 could still not disguise the live band and drunk shouting. We were told it would be over by 12 and yet by two the noise was still going on. We asked them to turn it down several times and yet this request was ignored. Also asked them to turn the heating down and this too was ignored, was still too hot sleeping naked. Some of the staff were unapologetic and rude, and told us that the manager would be in contact with us yet when we called 2 days later the manager was apparently told we would call them! So yeah don't waste your time, brighton is a great place otherwise.
