Super little gem of a place. Everything is Scottish that surrounds you. Carpets and decor. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Nothing is an issue. Nice get away location close to the beach. Great view from Upper window.

Choice of menu rather than set menu would have enhanced the experience of staying at the hotel.

Clean, neat hotel Many from the golfing community stay here. Close to beach, walking distance from shops. 24hr bar (and dog friendly section) Lovely restaurant with delicious meals. Excellent food, very well priced. Always met with friendly service

Old fashioned and dated. Toilets extremely dated and catering blue roll out to dry your hands. Not what you expect in a beach side located hotel. Food was good, menu was fairly limited however it's better to do a limited menu well rather than a huge menu poorly.

This is a lovely place to stay. We arrived after a hard day riding to this very accommodating hotel. We were met by friendly staff who though we were a large group dealt with us very confidently and quickly. The room was airy and clean and I had a good view. The food and bar were both of an excellent standard. Our overnight stay was made pleasant by all the staff. I hope the lady enjoyed her trip round Troon.

Great location as it is close to beach, walking to town for meals, shopping, etc. And very good for getting to many attractions. Great rooms for an older house. Like their gold storage room and dry space when gear is wet. Great staff.

A house of a special kind. Good, well-kept old style and yet dynamic staff. The space is great and the beach is not far.

Best dog friendly hotel have stayed at Mackenzie even had a sausage for his breakfast, Great location for beach, wee bit of a sea view from room which was bright & spacious & clean just wee bit dated. Staff were excellent, very friendly, attentive nothing was too much trouble. 'special of the day' evening meal was superb,

Brilliant hotel... rooms lovely and clean comfortable beds we had a garden room and also a dog with us so that was a bonus.. beer garden great food..staff very attentive especially Alistair and Barbra..

Lovely hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Bedrooms conformable. Great choice at breakfast and dinner was tasty. 2 minutes from the beach and 10 minutes from the town centre. We have stayed several times.
