Great experience all round. Rooms superb, atmosphere lovely, service impeccable ( eg rooms get cleaned and replenished every day), fine dining on the ground floor is a massive plus especially as it’s all hosted by the fab owner Will who is the font of knowledge about the local area. Can’t wait to visit The Smugglers Rest and Miss Fea’s Bistro again. Highly recommend.

We have just had a lovely 2 night stay at The Smugglers Rest. This was our first and we will definitely be back for more. We had a friendly welcome from the owners, who called us on our arrival day to make sure they would be there when we arrived to check in. The room was beautiful - cosy, clean and high quality in every aspect, with lots of character. Breakfast was delicious and only made us want to come back when the in-house Bistro was open. Perfect location for accessing a stunning North Devon stretch of coastline as well as Woolacombe beach. Very cute village with two pubs. Thanks for a great couple of days.

A wonderful place to stay. Delicious food, the comfiest room (every detail thoughtfully considered) and the loveliest setting - a pub and tea room a stones throw away and wonderful walks from the doorstep. Will and Stacey are brilliant hosts. We'll be back!

Will, Stacey and their 2 cute girls and not forgetting kingsley, the dog were most welcoming on arrival. When they Saw my wife walking with sticks and without question, they immediately changed our room to a lower floor into their most popular Lundy room , for which we were most grateful for. This B&B was run very professionally and the breakfast was exceptional, so compliments to the chef.Although we were unable to walk very far, this location is ideal for beach lovers, surfers and ramblers. I wish this young couple and their family all the best for the future, Thank you for a great weekend.

The Smugglers Rest is our favourite place to stay in North Devon. The location is very convenient for Woolacoombe and the surrounding area, with access to village amenaties. The rooms are comfotable and beautifully decorated, and they serve an exellent breakfast in the morning. We have stayed here many times and will continue to do so.

A gem of a place to stay. The rooms are individually decorated and very tasteful. The owners have even gone as far as supporting local artists with gorgeous art pieces throughout the building. The breakfast choice and quality is delicious. There is literally a fabulous circular walk that takes in the coastal path. The owners arrange a good parking permit to use across other local car parks. It's well worth it, plus saves you money in the long run. We loved the B&B and owners we returned back after a month. I stayed with a group here for four nights in late April 2024. The rooms are beautiful. The food is outstanding - fresh, healthy, and perfectly presented - a million miles away from a pub grub and lazy menu you can find in a million eating places. The owners and staff are extremely personable and the whole experience makes you feel welcomed and appreciated. From the warm greeting from the marvellous front door retriever to the late night martini espresso. Everyone dining each night at Ms Fea’s on every table looked happy and relaxed and enjoying themselves. The hotel is right in the heart of Mortehoe with a public car park a stone’s throw away. Whether it’s a couple’s night or a group gathering, a short weekend or a longer break, Will and Stacey and their team have created a very wonderful formula.

I recently stayed at The Smugglers Rest, a beautifully run B&B with bistro in a small village location, perfect for exploring the North Devon coast. The customer service ethos runs through every detail from the welcome, to the decor, to the quality of the fresh cooked food and the helpfulness of the team. I would love to visit again.

Love this cafe we visited a few weeks ago. The menu is reasonably priced given the focus on quality, making it a perfect spot for breakfast, coffee and cake—or even something more substantial. When we visited, I went straight for The Big One. They serve breakfast until 2pm which is great news if you’re a late riser or if you’ve been out the night before! The Big One is for those with an immense appetite (£14.95) but there are smaller options available. T went for the Ultimate BLT Handcrafted Sandwich (£11.95), swapping crisps for fries for an extra £2.25 from their lunch menu which also includes paninis, toasties and jacket potatoes to mention a few things. I can safely say that the cooked breakfast was an immensely satisfying plate of food. The meat is sourced from a nearby butcher and you could taste the quality; the bacon was thick and flavourful, and the sausages were meaty and dense. It came together like every big breakfast should—with lots of toast and a good cuppa on the side. The Ultimate BLT was an absolute behemoth—packed full of thick cut bacon and served with fries (a new option on the menu, swapped for crisps). The soft fresh bread kept packed sandwich together in a chunky bacon filled parcel – you need a big mouth to chomp it in one! Along with breakfasts and lunches, there are fresh cakes and their legendary waffles, for those with a sweet tooth you have plenty of choice. They're very dog friendly and willing to go that extra mile for customers 😍
