Yesterday, Myself and my cousin booked to do the cocktail masterclass which was the perfect start to our Christmas. All the staff are super friendly and so welcoming, making the cocktails was so fun and would definitely like to do it again in the future. The food was all so delicious and so were the cocktails. 10/10 would recommend.

What a fantastic afternoon spent making cocktails. Lisa and her team are brilliant. The food platters were absolutely delicious. The service was really first class right from the initial enquiry through to the day when Zac did a masterclass of cocktail making that was interesting and entertaining. The venue is cosy and rustic chic. A real gem. Highly recommend. Well done Lisa and team, we will be back.

Actual best place to spend your evening in Barnstaple. The atmosphere is just perfect, with the low lighting, smooth tunes and friendliest, most helpful staff going. Nothing is too much trouble, the team really know what they're talking about and are amazing at recommending the right drinks and tipples to taste. The food is so delicious and presented so beautifully. The drinks selection is divine and we're already planning when we can go back for another perfect night at Craftys.

Absolutely love this bar! Always an amazing selection of cheeses which are beautifully presented and served. The owners and staff are always friendly and attentive and there is a lovely, chilled out ambiance so you immediately feel very welcome and relaxed. Great playlist too. Can't wait until our next visit!

A lovely little cocktail and beer venue, with perfect nibbles and service to boot. We visited with our doggo (outside!) a few times over a weekend, and each time we were very welcomed and attended to. Great cocktails, and fantastic charcuterie board. A little bit chilly to sit outside in the end, but we were given blankets without asking. Finally, big thanks for the owner sprinting down the street after us after we'd left our dog blanket behind!

Amazing selection of beers, wine and a lovely menu, based on local produce. We had the cheese and charcuterie sharing board and added bread (we didn’t need too, there was lots left over!) They offered to wrap it up for us to take away. We were celebrating our anniversary and my husbands work family called ahead and gifted us a bottle of bubbly as a surprise. The staff, were so friendly, accommodating, nothing was too much trouble and very knowledgeable about their drinks and menu they were serving! They were closed in the evening for a private party and seeing the preparations and getting ready for evening, I was secretly jealous and wanted to go to the party! We finished with a cocktail, the best espresso martini I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot!) An absolute hidden gem and we will most definitely return. Thank you so much and so wonderful to meet you all . Brilliant service and reasonably priced. Always Happy to support local businesses.

It's a lovely place to eat and drink cocktails. The four of us struggled to eat it all. The cocktails where nice, the taster beers are a great idea. The table next to us where a bit noisy it overall we enjoyed the evening as we have done in the past.

Came here after reading another review and cannot recommend it enough. Beautiful place with a great selection on cocktails had bread with oil and balsamic vinegar which was soooo good. a definite must try!

What a little gem! Modern, classy, and with a distinct USP, it is an incredible spot to enjoy rare wines, great cocktails, artisan style dining, craft beers, etc, superbly situated along the best shopping street in Barnie (what’s not to like about Butcher’s Row?!) Good for solo, couples, group time, with a range of events and bookable experiences, it’s one to keep on your Hit List for future occasions I’ve visited a lot on my own, as well as a handful of times with my Sister. Visits were from July 2022 - March 2023 ranging from a weekend in Barnstaple to a seven-week stay I love Lisa and Al! During my many visits over the past year, they’ve become friends. Thank you both so much for being exemplary hosts, for furnishing a true haven, and for making it such an enjoyable place to ‘just be’

What a great find! We popped in and found ourselves tucked away in the snug for a cheeky Saturday lunch. Fantastic sharing platter and great choice of bottled and draught drinks. Perfect.

Cocktail masterclass... absolutely amazing experience, totally recommend

We booked for a cocktail masterclass on a Saturday afternoon. It was such a lovely treat! Lisa really looked after us and made the cocktail making so fun and interesting. The charcuterie board was delicious and the cocktails were fab! Everything was made with fresh ingredients and spirits and liqueurs we'd not tried before. Could have stayed there all day, it was brilliant. Thank you so much for having us - we'll definitely be back!

Wide selection of beverages, beer, wine, cocktails, and the all important cup of Tea if you need it 😝 Alan/Lisa and staff all very warm friendly and welcoming. Small intermate location but does not feel crowded, its a must if your in Barnstaple, one of the best local independent bars around.

This is a great place to sit outside and watch the world go by (weather permitting). Had a first rate coffee and a lovely piece of fruit cake. Great friendly service at a very reasonable price.

Crafty's knowledge, attention to detail and hospitality... second to none. I have been twice now and each time equally perfect. Great atmosphere, clean and inviting. Perfect for anyone who has a true interest in beers and wines. Very very impressed by a shop in Barnstaple serving natural (orange) wine. And a fantastic one at that. What a fantastic evening. A great spot to just truly chill out. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Good knowledge and happy to help in any way. Perfect place for a "get away" drink and Charcuterie with friends.

I spent last Friday afternoon (3/6/22) here with my wife and some friends. What a fantastic time we had here. A great range of beers on tap and in can. Good choice of wines too. We wanted pork pies but they had run out so we opted for a small cheeseboard instead. What arrived at our table was a work of art. It really showed me they cared about what they were serving up. The staff were brilliant, really engaging and proud of their produce. Wonderful afternoon. I can’t wait to return.

Really lovely bar in a historic building on Butchers Row. Great craft beer selection (and wines and spirits too). Fantastic hosts and staff as well. My elderly father and I enjoyed ourselves greatly! And although we didn’t sample any food we sneaked a peek and it looked amazing!

Love this place! Amazing range of craft beers, cocktails and wines. Been there so many times and keep going back, with always something new to try. Recently had the sharing cheese & charcuterie board for 2 and it didn't disappoint, I thought we might be hungry after with just light food but it was so enormous, we couldn't finish it! Every bit was so tasty, couldn't fault it. Lisa and the rest of the staff in there are always so friendly and helpful. A fantastic addition to Barnstaple.

Crafty find for Barnstaple's beer connoisseurs

Went in randomly for coffee and ended up ordering a snack as well. The hummus with feta (vegan option) was so so so good. Over all we really like the place and would be back for sure! It’s a true hidden gem!

First time in the place, staff were very welcoming, very friendly, food and drinks were excellent - give them a try, would recommend!

It's not possible to explain how amazing Crafty's is. Never in my life have I ever had a proper 'local' or really felt so welcomed than I have here. Lisa and Al are amazing and always always look after us. They're never too busy to see how we're doing, what we've been up to, and have a good old chin wag! The beers are amazing - the negronis are TO DIE FOR. And I cannot recommend their cheese and meat sharing platters more. If you go to one place for a drink in all of North Devon - MAKE IT CRAFTY'S!

This is my new favourite place. The best cocktails I've had in a long time - the amaretto sour is out of this world. The sharing board is really well put together. I've told everyone I know to try this place, whether for a romantic meal or girl's night out, it ticks the boxes.

Lovely and recently refurbished shop, and friendly, attentive staff. Nice takeaway can selection including Deya, Verdant, Mad Squirrel, etc. Let down a bit by a heavily oxidised £4 half of draft pale ale, which the staff didn’t recognise as faulty when I asked them about it. Crafty beer shop is fantastically novel, sitting in the street on a peice of fake grass drinking Passion fruit martinis takes some beating. Owned by a lovely couple and we'll worth a visit. Amazing choice of drinks.

Absolutely wonderful find. Came here for a ‘lock in’ on a Friday night, where we’d booked the inside table and were met with the most incredible food platters, showcasing some outstanding local cheeses, meats and nibbles. We then chose the beers we wanted to try throughout the night from the huge range on display, each of which was served to us by the lovely owners who had exceptional knowledge about what else we might like to taste. The service was faultless - we were so, so well looked after and nothing was too much trouble, including serving incredible vegan food platters and mixing up off-menu cocktails for our designated driver. Also looked to have a great range of local gins on the menu, although we barely scraped the surface of great beers first. The absolute best place for a nice and friendly evening drink in Barnstaple. Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat!
