A delicious dinner, full of flavour, thoroughly enjoyed by the three of us. Recommend the scallops and zucchini fritters as two starters. And the fish n chips, seafood curry and seafood linguine for mains. Terrific wine list too. I echo other reviewers in that the service was top notch. Thank you. We would have loved to try dessert but our time was up (you're given 90 minutes for your reservation) . A shame as 30 minutes later we walked by the restaurant and our table was still empty...

Love this place. The food was super tasty and well presented with good sized portions and a varied menu. The service was both efficient and friendly. I already want to find an excuse to come back.

Stopped in to the beautiful town of Beer recently and the Smuggler’s Kitchen caught our eye as we went through. Just as they opened we asked for a table and they could only just squeeze us in as they were fully booked. Within 15 minutes every table was taken and we could see why. Fantastic quality food for everyone with great sized portions and brilliant service. Would happily recommend stopping in here for some quality food

Had booked the Smuggler's after reading the reviews and it was busy when we visited. They had a varied menu and we had the sea bass and steak. The food was lovely and the waitresses were friendly and efficient. Worth a visit!

This little gem of a restaurant has saved our bday night out. We hopelessly called literally 20 minutes before closing time and unexpectedly a nice lady told us to come without hesitation. They greeted us with a smile and great professionalism, we ordered in 5 minutes without stress and the food was out of this world, especially my pan-fried sea bass with pesto gnocchi. Big shout out at the kitchen staff and at the amazingly super polite waitresses. Hope to be back soon, keep it up!

A delicious meal, great serving size (just right - not too big, not too small). Great tasting burritos . The children's menu was good, a well sized too for an older child. Lovely service.

What is there not to like about this place. First time stay in Beer. We didnt want pub grub, so going by the reviews we had to try The Smugglers Kitchen. Well, it certainly didn't disappointed. Staff, service and choice of food were excellent. Portion sizes were ample. The fish curry was so tasty. Hubby had the shin of beef with risotto and it was faultless. Definitely a place you must try. Booking is essential as it is so popular. Always a good sign. Hope to be back next year.

Nice enough, maybe a bit overpriced at £61 for starters and burgers&fries and onion rings as extra and 2 beers.

Visited here in May 2024. It's the best restaurant I've been to in a long time. I stayed in Beer for a week and ate here twice, I would have eaten here more often if I could've got in. Thank you Smugglers! I hope to get back to Beer sometime next year and will visit you again. I will book in advance.

Honestly, one of the best meals we've had in many years. Faultless service, food and drink. Definitely returning!

Superb! This is a great place to come and eat at. The decor has some really good features. The staff are all efficient and helpful. The meals were all delicious! Highly recommend the crab Cakes and the seafood linguini too! We managed to squeeze in a dessert at the end! Some good beers and drinks available to wash down the meal.

We were very lucky to get a table, it was very busy, lovely atmosphere, great attentive waiting staff. Extensive menu which made choosing very difficult. Food was delicious 😋

The service is second to none at this lovely restaurant really efficient helpful staff. Orders were taken promptly and food arrived in a timely fashion too. The Greek platter was delicious and we opted for mussels and the fish and chips which I couldn’t finish as there were soooo many chips! Wine was amazing as was the cheesecake. We will definitely return when in the area

We visited 3 times during our stay in Beer and each dish was absolutely delicious. The service was fantastic, everyone was so lovely. Cannot recommend enough!

A wonderful evening, the Beef Bourguignon, Marry Me Chicken and the Jambalaya were all enjoyed enormously. They also went out of their way to make a gluten and dairy free version of a dessert.

Not a bad word to say about the smugglers. If you come to visit Beer, then book yourself a table. The food is great and the staff are friendly and attentive. It's head and shoulders above anything else in the town. Would recommend!

The fish was excellent and very well cooked, tomato pasta cooked al dente were appreciated by kids. The price reseonable. The waiteress was very kind. We had a very nice super.

Visited on first night of a 3 night stay in Beer. Great food, good atmosphere & really lovely staff. I had fish & chips & it was delicious & very filling! My husband had the pan seared Venison Steak & loved it. We enjoyed it so much we booked to visit again on our last night! I had a Ribeye Steak that was cooked exactly as I had requested & was 'melt in the mouth' & my husband had Mussels & said they were spot on! Will definitely visit again if we are in Beer.

Second visist to this wonderful restaurant , the staff are so wonderful warm and welcoming, the food is fantastic I had curry which was delicious and my husband had a steak and said best ever

Amazing food Bring vegan I had the samosa to start ( thought it was only one but got three) then fake cow burger … all delicious Partner had whitebait to start then the venison and finally the cheesecake At 68 years young he said it was the best meal he had eaten Very friendly service too

6 of us dined, but only 5 meals arrived. The other meal had been missed completelyby the staff. That meant us sending all the meals back, and waiting, or one person eating alone. It wasn't a decision we wanted to make when it was a special occasion tbh!

Beautiful smell of cooked seafood as we were welcomed into this restaurant by their staff. Warm and easy atmosphere and a great selection of dishes including vegan and vegetarian options. Jackfruit burritos and a seafood linguine were very much enjoyed. Looking forward to exploring more of this lovely village and know where we’ll head for some food next time we’re down.

Set perfectly within the lovely village of Beer. Offering a good menu to choose from. The food was excellent, and the service was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble. I can highly recommend this restaurant, and making a reservation is a must as it can get busy.

Very very tasty food. Great portion sizes. I would highly recommend the pork burrito as this was delicious particularly the smoked rice.

Delicious main course. We had jambalaya and Sri Lankan curry. Excellent service. I was disappointed with the key lime pie. It was actually a lime meringue pie with pastry base. Key lime pie should be creamy and made with condensed milk.

Had a delicious meal. Been here before. The only thing is that do not serve the food on a piping hot plate so half way through the meal it starts to feel luke warm. This is a shame as there has been a great deal of effort, thought and talent in the preparation.

I do not know where to start with such a fabulous evening. Susie was just incredible in helping us organise a surprise meal for a milestone birthday for 24 people. From communications (which started 9 months prior) to table decor, being available for dropping off of decor and cake to the service on the night which was 5*. We had pre ordered our choices and the food was all ready at the same time, piping hot and not a single person had a bad word to say about any dish. Many that hadn't pre ordered dessert made the decision to add this on the night, not because they were still hungry but because their mains were so tasty. This was accommodated and there was no delay between the pre ordered desserts arriving and the additional. Large tables can be a lot of work, and if we were Susie and her team did not show it at all. The whole night went perfectly, we could not have asked for better. Certainly will be returning. For the service and the absolutely incredible food. A smaller menu but with the largest variety. And every dish perfected. Thankyou Susie and all at the Smugglers.

Really fantastic service. I'm on a very restricted diet for medical reasons and a vegetarian. The staff were incredibly accommodating helping me find options i could eat. Particularly good for gluten free options.

The food and service are outstanding. Booking is essential as very busy. We love it here and visit when down in Beer. The take away burgers are great value for money. The menus is great and never been disappointed with our food. Well done to the team here a real gem.

I am not surprised that this place doesnt have a single bad review because the food in here is just sublime! The flavours are incredible, meat is cooked to perfection, menu is creative and exciting but not crazy and pretentious. I wish I could eat here every week! I take everyone here and nobody has ever complained. Its on a pricey side but it is worth it, you wont leave disappointed.

Had an evening meal with my wife and friends. First time we have used the restaurant, and won’t be the last. Good menu choices, and really nice staff, who were very accommodating. The food was well presented and flavoursome. The restaurant itself is very pleasant with a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Staying in Beer for a couple of days so decided to book this for an evening meal. So glad we did, as a lot of people tried on the off chance, only to find it fully booked. And understandably so. Everything was first class - the food, staff, ambience, price. We had seafood linguini, jambalaya, plus a sharing Greek mezze - all of which was super tasty. Would Definitely come back and would highly recommend.

Amazing little place we have eaten in and taken away many times . And they have the ability too produce some amazing food. This time round we had booked a table but our son wasn't well so we ordered a takeaway instead As usual the food was amazing and well made. It didn't have the same atmosphere as being inside which I would of much preferred. But these things happen. ,I certainly recommend this place to anyone visiting beer. , be warned they book up fast and the cue can be out the door for takeaway so be warned.

We came here Wednesday 13th September for dinner. The first thing we noticed was how nice the ambience was. We both enjoyed our starters and mains which were beautifully presented, portions were just right and flavoursome to eat. Photos are of the beef carpaccio and chicken flatbread.All reasonably priced and very good value. Would definitely recommend and return if we base ourselves in Beer again.

Booked in on Saturday late afternoon for a meal here and what a meal it was, we all had 3 courses and couldn’t fault any of them all were so delicious. The safe were all lovely too and looked after us.

Lovely restaurant, very comfortable layout, really nice staff and the food that we had was excellent. Prices are very reasonable. Children's meals are good and the options are similar to what you may see elsewhere however the quality of them is extremely good and freshly prepared. We ate early but were put under no pressure to observe the 90 min rule as indicated. We perhaps were 5/10 mins over. On booking I mentioned that were visiting for my daughter's birthday and that if this could be mentioned to her on arrival that it would make her day. They went a little further and made a bit of a fuss over her which was nice. This part of the evening was obviously special for us and no- one else. On the basis of quality and taste of the food, the restaurant layout, excellent and friendly service, I can understand why you need to book ahead to visit. I would not hesitate to recommend and if in the area again I would definitely return

I’m always apprehensive when I see Indian, Vietnamese, British and Italian cuisines on the same menu. The Vietnamese salad was the highlight dish, being a perfect combination of sweet, spicy, crispy and herbal. Desserts were also amazing and a great end to the meal. The lotus biscoff cheesecake had that perfect caramel flavour and was complemented by the rich clotted cream ice cream. I found the pizzas a bit of a disappointment due to them having too much cheese and being bit bland.

Booked a table for 4 whilst on holiday to celebrate my 60th birthday. We had such a lovely evening. We asked to move from our allocated table to one by the window, away from the door and this was no problem. Great service, Friendly staff. The food was amazing, 2 tasty pizzas, mussels and seafood linguini - all freshly prepared and generous portions ( the pizza we couldn't manage was boxed up to take away). The puddings were to die for - warm lemon tart, brioche bread and butter pudding and chocolate tart. All priced fairly. Would recommend this restaurant for delicious food ,drinks and atmosphere 😋. Takeaway Pizza- that genuinely did not disappoint. Having seen my dream pizza on the menu (goats chees, red onion marmalade and red pepper- I thought myself dreaming!! My friend and I ate them on the beach and it couldn't possibly have been any better!

Fabulous food would recommend highly, a bit loathed to do so makes it too popular. The 4 of us dined on the chicken wings and the cod lion and tahini plus puddings excellent. Staff very friendly really enjoyed the evening. We will be back next week.

We had the pleasure of dining here yesterday with our two small children. Friendly from start to finish. Children very well catered for and they ate more than I've seen before. For the adults, we had an amazing meal, Vietnamese prawn salad was full of flavour and the chowder was best I've had. My wife's risotto was just delicious and washed down with some lovely wine. Thanks for a wonderful evening. Highly recommended

100% recommend. I have a severe allergy. The attention to detail to avoid any chance of cross contamination was exemplary. Six of us had a splendid meal. Staff brilliant. Definite one to go back to. Do try it for yourself
