Le Pisani in East Devon

Had a great meal here to celebrate my birthday. I can fully recommend the 'Seaton special' seafood pasta dish. Was absolutely gorgeous with that glass of wine. Excellent and very polite table service as well. Thank you All at Le Pisani 🙏

Enormous menu, absolutely delicious. Prawns, mushrooms and pizza and Beer sparkling water.

Always a wonderful atmosphere, great staff who are very attentive and the food is amazing. 😁 We can where again tonight to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary and had a superb meal, the fillet steak was melt in the mouth!

The food is amazing and comes in generous portions and the staff are very friendly. A nice welcoming place.

I went to Le Pisini a few years back and would have given it (a generous) 3 stars. Over the years it has really matured and made little improvements every time I've visited. The last visit was comfortable 5 star. It shows that with constant culture to improve you fon't have to start perfectly, but you'll get there and stay there. The food I had was interesting and full of taste. I had a prawn based pasta. Cocktails were well made. Service attentive and my teenage kids liked the ice cream desert. Didn't cost too much either...

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining at "Le Pisani" on Saturday afternoon, and it was an experience we won't soon forget! While she indulged in the delectable "Fungi Pappardelle" pasta, I savored every bite of the mouthwatering "Fungi Bianca" pizza. The flavors were exquisite, perfectly capturing the essence of Mediterranean cuisine. What truly stood out was the exceptional service; the staff went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From their helpful recommendations to their efficient service, every aspect was top-notch. "Le Pisani" is a culinary haven where delicious food and impeccable hospitality intersect, making it a must-visit for anyone craving a taste of the Mediterranean.

Very hard to review this place as it was such a mix of outstanding and OK. Service was 11/10 - staff were really friendly, attentive and numerous. We felt at home and at ease straight away. Decor and atmosphere is great - we loved the circular building and the lighting. Whitebait starter was delicious, as well as nicely presented. Mains (fish & chips + Bolognese) were only OK, flavour-wise. Maybe we chose badly. Portion sizes were good. I'd probably still return because we enjoyed our experience so much. And order something different perhaps.

Garlic mushrooms not really garlicky. Well done steak still had horns and mood. Staff spot on right on money service 👌. Pizza look good but slightly lacking in favourersum tones. Cocktails top notch and deadly.

We’re a fan of seafood 🍕 pizzas and this place was simply the best with not one but four seafood options! A great Maltese wine too which made a change. Lovely building, great service. Will be back for the Malta special evenings.

I went here for a meal with my husband. We were so impressed with the quality of food and friendly service.

While heading towards Christchurch we decided to stop off in Seaton. And while strolling around we saw Le Pisani. So we thought why not. Nice little restaurant with a italian/Maltese twist. We only had coffee's and Paninni for lunch. Great service and the Paninni were great. Sounds silly but you can mess up a good sandwich, and they didn't. For me the only let down was the coffee. The bean possibly was a blend, and like a good italian coffee, Kimbo - Lavazza. Sorry that's me. Overall a great stop.

Visited yesterday for a special Maltese Food night. The food was incredible, the staff were amazing and the whole atmosphere really was something special. Due to the nature of the event (and the fact we had wine), the prices were a little higher than usual, but still very reasonable when taking everything into account. Would highly recommend a visit, whether it be for a meal or visit for something to take away. The perfect little Mediterranean escape in Devon!

An absolutely fabulous meal with professional and friendly staff! We had the halloumi and goats cheese starters, followed by some pizzas, pizza had plenty of topping and a beautifully light base. The gelato was delicious.

Had our valentines meal here.Altjough busy, the staff were attentive and friendly, the restaurant has a wonderful vibe and the food is excellent, would highly recommend.

If I could give 6 stars I would. Great Italian dishes - all very tasty. Quality food at great prices and brilliant service. Really down to earth restaurant with friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Very knowledgeable and accommodating of allergens. They were super lovely to my daughter (8) she loved their bolognese.

Absolutely amazing food the people are lovely. I had the bruschetta as a starter, it was the best I’ve ever had. Then I had a half and half pizza which was delicious. The owners are very friendly and the kindest owners you will meet at a restaurant. All the food is fresh and I highly recommend.

Dropped in for coffee - lovely cafe/restaurant, very welcoming staff. Wud recommend.

Delicious food good service but had to sit outside as we had a dog and the heaters were not working due to storm damage. Would definitely go again.

Husband’s pizza had so much chilli on it that it was almost inedible. He took half home, but most of that went in the bin. My bolognaise lacked flavour. The ice cream was lovely, but we wil not be retuning.

Returned to Pisani tonight after a 1 year gap. Still amazing, lovely food, staff and atmosphere. Would recommend highly!! Really good food, we both had the special which was a seafood pasta, one of the best I've ever had!!! good service, friendly staff Will definitely be going back

We enjoyed a fabulous meal this weekend in this lovely Italian restaurant. Very generous portions but most importantly fantastic quantity and just delicious food. Staff were extremely friendly and engaging. We will definitely return when next in Seaton.

Lovely place to dine good food wine and service

A lovely restaurant in a great place. The staff and food were brilliant, especially with the coeliac member of our group of 10. The food came quickly and looked & tasted amazing.

Wonderful place very welcoming food delicious made something for my husband who's maltese to remind him of home.

We went midweek during our holiday in the area at around 2.30 pm - I was looking for a place to sit down and eat rather than a takeaway. At first, we thought the place was shut, but it was empty with only 2 single customers. There is a large selection of food on offer, but for some reason, I was expecting a smaller lunch-time menu instead of a full dinner menu. For the 3 of us, the bill was around £65 which I felt was a little expensive, but the quality and service was excellent. Overall, a lovely place to dine, but would definitely love to see a smaller lunch menu up to 4.00 pm!

We visited on 29th August 2023, the last night of our holiday in Devon. We saw what great reviews it had and so thought we'd leave it until the last night. We weren't disappointed! I'm vegan and we had a coeliac and they were fantastic in getting us all something we wanted. I also have a garlic intolerance and they made me something I could eat and it was one of the nicest pasta dishes I have ever had. All our requests were catered for and everything was perfect. All of the staff were wonderful but we'd especially like to thank Freya who served us, as she was super efficient, very friendly and really deserves a huge well done. 😀

Unfortunately it was a pretty unmemorable and disappointing meal.. The Vegetarian Wellington was a complete disappointment and really just a pasty with a small amount of pine nuts, brie and mushrooms spread around the pastry... The salmon linguine was bland but only flavoured with the grapes and when I asked for some parmesan cheese. Our daughters pizza (which unfortunately came late as we were told the first pizza had been burned around the edges) had sooooooo much cheese on it. We mentioned the above issues with staff but didn't think the feedback was received very well as the manager didn't come to us to discuss our complaint and the waitress just looked at us and didn't know what to say. At just under £80 we expected better!! On the plus side, the Whitebait starter was very nice... We've used Le Pisani many times over the years whilst visiting Seaton and had some very nice meals here but somethings changed and, regrettably Its put us off coming back.

Maltese Feast Night at Le Pisani was a wonderful experience with all homemade traditional Maltese food that people travelled as far as 200 miles away to come and share together. Food, language and culture.

Great Italian with plenty of home made dishes pizzas and pasta. All dishes could be done gluten free and were proper size!!

We had a great meal here on Tuesday evening. Really glad we booked in advance as they did not take any walk-ins, it was really busy. Service was great, the lady went into great detail explaining the Maltese wine we ordered. The portions were very generous and tasty. Make sure to add a few cannolis to your bill, they were delicious.

Lovely food but like all restaurants these days they do not employ enough staff. I am not complaining about the (too few) staff - they were working as best they can - I blame the ownership/management! 30 minutes after bring given the sweet menu we finally decided to not wait any longer and asked for our bill - which took another 20 mins!!! This is a great shame as the food and surrounding were great. Please please review your staffing levels or the wages you are paying.

Nice food, tasty pizza, many different pizzas by English standards. The lasagna is also recommended. Nice service, seemed interested. Atmosphere usually depends on the moment and which other guests are there.

Extremely disappointed with our take away pizza's tonight. All of them were burnt around the edges and 2 of them were also burnt underneath. For the price we were expecting something at least fully eduble. Would not recommend or use again. Just to add a follow up to your reply, we were half an hour away so by the time we got home and realised it was all a bit late. Had we been aware at the time we would most certainly have said something.

A lovely restaurant to visit while staying in Seaton. Delicious Mediterranean food with a Maltese slant. Unusual to see Cisk on draught. I’d recommend the pizza!

Lovely Italian restaurant! The staff were really friendly and helpful. I had the salmon linguine which was delicious Everything was quite expensive but worth the money in my opinion.

Food was excellent, as was the service. Not the cheapest but hey, you get what you pay for and plenty of it. Saw many "doggy bags" .

Incredible restaurant, with freshly beautifully seasoned food. I had a wonderful seafood linguini and my partner had the lamb! The couple that run the restaurant clearly love what they do and are so passionate about it. We had a great experience, not only was the food and service great but the toilet was immaculate as was the whole restaurant. Many thanks we will be back when we visit this area again!

Amazing menu, could eat all of it and the food is so good. The seafood and fish special linguine is soooo good. Service was top drawer as well, really friendly and welcoming, the lovely young lady deserves a hospitality medal!

Lovely food had late lunch so very quite, attentive service. Behind the main sea front road but worth finding. Great for coffee or main lunch or evening meal.

We had a pleasant but unmemorable meal and definitly was not worth £50.00 per head, with rather lack lustre service, forgot the garlic bread. I have had many Italian meals and I am accustomed to a little enthousiasm. I had lasagne which included some salad, and was slightly better than Tescos. I have enjoyed meals at half the price which were better. Neither my partner or her son had any issues with the food, it was just nothing special for the price ...sorry.

Lovely atmosphere and ambience. Food and service weren't up to the same level as the price tag. Very lovely food but lots of shell in crab pasta, cheese on garlic bread flavourless and rubbery and plates passed across table by staff rather than going round. Prices suggest top level service and food but didn't quite reach standards. Beautifully plated.

Clean and tidy place, really cosy. But, waiting time was around an hour, however the place wasn’t busy at that time. Also, I wouldn’t recommend “crab special” because isn’t not special at all, barely contains crab, fussili on its own looked really cheap, the dish isn’t worth £22.95.

Lovely food, friendly staff, delicious meals & desserts

There was a good choice on the menu & it was difficult to decide. We ordered 2 pizzas & a lasagne, along with garlic bread. The food was absolutely delicious. The best lasagne that I have had. Thre was a good srlection of desserts - the widest choice of flavours of gelato believable

Had an amazing meal here. Highly recommend the carbonara, was the best ever I’ve ever had! Also had the meatball pizza which was delicious. Dessert was the white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake which was superb! The service was outstanding, waiters were very attentive and friendly. Will be recommending this to everyone if they visit anywhere near seaton.

It was cold in the restaurant wear something warm.

What a lovely find, we had supper here, staff were amazing, and the food was wonderful.

Great service and excellent food

An okay meal, pizza was nice but only had about 8 very small pieces of pineapple. So if you like ham and Pineapple make sure to ask for a good helping. Personally thought it was an expensive and mediocre although far from the worst dining experience I have had.

Lovely place and very clean. Had the Bella Malta pizza as it stated that had maltese sausage but was a little disappointed as it wasn't Maltese sausage but the pizza itself was absolutely lovely.of course had to have kinnie as I'm Maltese and was looking forward to it.Took our dog down too. Lovely beautiful people/staff ,very very friendly.Thanks Darren and staff.will definitely look forward to come back as our treat. Joan and Steve and Tessa the dog.

Wow. Read a couple of slightly negative reviews but they must be from a different planet. Very clean, friendly efficient service, varied menu and fantastic food. If I could award 6 stars I would. If you are around the area make sure to reserve a table and enjoy a great dining experience

Le Pisani - Disappointed with the service (although two ladies were very helpful) asked a waiter for side plates which never arrived, knives and forks just put on the table muddled up with starter cutlery and main cutlery and no salt and pepper on table. For the price you are paying for this restaurant you would expect to have a table properly laid out. Overall the food was ok some pizza rather tasteless and uncooked vegetables on top of the pizza which are supposed to be uncooked?? Rustic pizza was lovely though would recommend 👍. Mexican pizza was bland, no spice or even seasoning on the meat, looked like it had been chucked in a pan and thrown on to pizza. Do not get it! Would not come back and extremely expensive for what it is.

It was ok, but service a bit lacking. Not enough serviettes, plates and cutlery to share a starter. Could do better is the phrase I choose.

Fantastic food, fantastic staff. We were in Seaton for a week in July and visited twice. Steak is out of this world. Well recommended.

The best restaurant I have been to in a long time. The staff are very efficient and keep moving all night long never stopping to chat. The food is outstanding, well cooked well presented and very very tasty. We were only in Seaton for 5 nights and eat here twice not disappointed in anyway. We are thinking of coming here for my 70th birthday in October and it's a 21/2 hours drive from home that should tell you how impressed we were. Roseabella and her husband run a great venue.

Stopped on the way through town to have a coffee and sat outside - I had a beautiful cortado complemented by an apple and cinnamon pastizzi. The coffee was strong but not bitter, and the pastry was crunchy and enjoyable. Too warm for me inside (personal preference, and an unusally warm day made for that combination) and outside was difficult (albeit not impossible) to park a pushchair so it was out of the way but still at the table. A likeable experience.

Pricey but quality dining. The tables should be dressed at this price point. The fillet is to die for and the cosmopolitan was silky smooth.
