Le Pisani in East Devon

Popped in for Pizza after a bike ride down the sea front. Friendly staff, well priced food. Nice atmosphere, good decor. Would like to return to try other items on the menu.

Takeaway 'coffee' was just warm milk! We had lattes, just NO coffee flavour. I was tempted to go back and ask for an espresso to pour in, but I ended up binning half of it Disappointed, as I was looking forward to a good coffee. ☹️

Fabulous menu, great service, decent wine selection - genuine hidden gem this place. We stopped here for a meal with friends when we visited for the annual Grizzly race. The menu selection was great and the food super tasty. Definitely coming back - a new tradition for future Grizzly weekends!

Delicious food - big menu- and friendly staff. We came during Xmas /New Year for a short break holiday and enjoyed the local Devon attractions. A friend recommended the restaurant and we went. We didn’t book a table but would definitely do in busier times. We really enjoyed our meal and we will return when we’re back in the area.

Not really Mediterranean, the choice or taste just wasn't there. Pleasant atmosphere and well decorated. Ordered hake, which came with a tasteless tomato sauce, but the fish was ok. My husband had pasta with prawns, and again, the sauce wasn't very good at all. The salad served with the whitebait that my husband ordered and my deep fried goat's cheese was very basic. The staff are friendly, but the service is slow.

It was amazing. All the food was wonderful, it took us back to Malta and the staff were really kind and attentive. Also an amazing touch of Mediterranean food in the heart of Seaton. We will definitely be coming back.

Welcoming friendly staff, superb food with such generous servings but whatever your appetite you MUST leave space for the best ice cream genuinely from Torino, it really is second to none … please please support this wonderful restaurant. Ate here Saturday just gone and also the Friday before. Having not been for some time. Service was great, as was wait time for drinks and then food. Both times I went for Anchovy Special with the king prawns. Absolutely lush. Recommend. I need to catch them at lunch as really fancy the fish pie and other pies I see on the boards.

That's the best restaurant we have found in Seaton so far. Seaton special was full of seafood and it was delicious. Definitely see you soon again.

The building is very attractive with warm and interesting interior. The food was excellent, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

One of the best meals I’ve had for a long time - lovely atmosphere, delicious food and charming staff. I had the special anchovy pasta which was really good. My husband had the carbonara which he devoured and my toddler son loved his pepperoni pizza. I’d highly recommended that you visit this place. Was such a nice way to start our holiday.

We came to Seaton for my husband's birthday and stumbled across this lovely little restaurant. The food was brought out promptly and was absolutely delicious! We especially enjoyed the carbonara, and highly recommend it to others. Most of all we were impressed by the young staff members who were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. My husband and I were made to feel so welcome and we will DEFINITELY be back.

Some delicious food in an airy light space. The menu was a (Maltese) deviation from typical Italian with a leaning towards fish, and full on flavours. The service was excellent, very attentive and efficient, so a big thanks. Definitely the best restaurant in town, having visited many times

We had the most amazing fish & chips. The batter was out of this world & the fish was so white. I can honestly say it was the best fish & chips I have ever had. The service is second to none. All staff were welcoming, polite & attentive. Excellent service.

We happened to just find this restaurant when wandering round and went in. The staff found a table for us. They were so accommodating, and friendly. The food was amazing and well cooked. We enjoyed our evening so much we even booked a table for the following night where we had another fantastic meal. So glad we happened to find this restaurant would definitely recommend.

After ordering two takeaway pizzas l was told by the chef it would take twenty minutes. When l returned he had forgotten all about the order. He had one check on the go when l arrived and nothing when l returned. Not a reflection on the restaurant but thought I should bring it to attention of owner

Had takeaway Pizzas for all the family. Everyone raved about them, top quality. They were really busy when arrived, but food was served up right on time. All very impressed. Will come again and eat in next time round Seaton.

This was one of my husband & I top five meals ever. We both had a seafood pasta special dish, he had the tomato sauce I had the cream & herb. The staff were so lovely, we sat in the sun & it felt look we were abroad. Amazing & must if you visit Seaton

We found Le Pisani one damp and chilly day when we tried to find food at a pub. The pub had no chef but they recommended this restaurant. We loved the food and the people. So much so we returned the next evening. We have returned twice more since then. What's not to love? Freshly cooked food, excellent service, and friendly staff. We look forward to another break away so we can do it all again.

We had reservations for another restaurant who decided they weren't doing pizzas. So we rang up. And they fit us in in 20 mins! Let me tell you how glad we were the first restaurant didn't have pizzas. This place was incredible. The staff were so friendly. They interacted with the kids. They made us feel welcome. I just think the whole experience was perfect. Thanks so much again for having us.

I wasn't sure what to expect - as a walk in, they were very accommodating and friendly staff. Being in a tourist hotspot, it was busy - with what seems like locals and tourists - the place looked great, clean, vibrant. Drinks and Food was delivered fast and were hot, even though the place was busy! My pizza was ok, the price point was slightly higher than I would expect for the quality but with the tourist hotspot premium it was fair! My partner's food was also nice, but reported to be a little bland - we skipped dessert as they have an ice cream shop attach - which were amazing in both value and taste. I would visit again!

Ordered a takeaway. 3 pizzas. Toppings were good however dough disappointingly quite dry / dense and lacked and chewiness. May have been a not so good batch I guess. Not sure if the dough was made/ stretched on the premises or not.

We rang up around 5:15 as we went to a restaurant that didn't have a chef in to cook pizza. So we all piled in the car and rang up. They were so efficient and had us a table within 25 minutes! We showed up. Warm welcome. Lovely atmosphere. The lady that booked us in was so welcoming. The food was incredible the atmosphere was incredible and we were thankful that the restaurant before us didn't have any pizza because this experience was so much better than we could have anticipated!!

We had a scallop and chorizo pizza and chips,take away. Wonderful, so fresh,lovely scallops ,chunky skin on fries. What a treat,really , really yummy. I went inside for a look and it looked a nice place, would have been happy to eat inside and will eat another next time I'm in town. Like the Terminator, I'll be back!

We booked a table for my daughter’s hen party and Rosabelle the general manager was very responsive and helpful following my initial enquiry. In the end a table was booked for 13 of us and there was an offer of help to decorate and all food allergies in our group were catered for. On the night the restaurant was very busy but the service was amazing, for our drinks and our food. The menu was great and it was a real dilemma trying to choose and several of the ladies have decided they have to return with their partners to try another menu choice. All the food came out at the same time and as far as I could see, most plates were cleared, no doggy bags required! We had a fabulous evening and we felt very well looked after. Payment was straight forward too with us being able to pay individually for our food and drinks rather than having to try and work it all out ourselves. Massive thanks to Rosabelle and her front of house team for the fantastic service, but also the chef and kitchen team for producing such wonderful food. We can’t recommend more highly

Always a wonderful atmosphere, great staff who are very attentive and the food is amazing. 😁 We can where again tonight to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary and had a superb meal, the fillet steak was melt in the mouth!

I went to Le Pisini a few years back and would have given it (a generous) 3 stars. Over the years it has really matured and made little improvements every time I've visited. The last visit was comfortable 5 star. It shows that with constant culture to improve you fon't have to start perfectly, but you'll get there and stay there. The food I had was interesting and full of taste. I had a prawn based pasta. Cocktails were well made. Service attentive and my teenage kids liked the ice cream desert. Didn't cost too much either...

Garlic mushrooms not really garlicky. Well done steak still had horns and mood. Staff spot on right on money service 👌. Pizza look good but slightly lacking in favourersum tones. Cocktails top notch and deadly.

Very hard to review this place as it was such a mix of outstanding and OK. Service was 11/10 - staff were really friendly, attentive and numerous. We felt at home and at ease straight away. Decor and atmosphere is great - we loved the circular building and the lighting. Whitebait starter was delicious, as well as nicely presented. Mains (fish & chips + Bolognese) were only OK, flavour-wise. Maybe we chose badly. Portion sizes were good. I'd probably still return because we enjoyed our experience so much. And order something different perhaps.

We’re a fan of seafood 🍕 pizzas and this place was simply the best with not one but four seafood options! A great Maltese wine too which made a change. Lovely building, great service. Will be back for the Malta special evenings.

I went here for a meal with my husband. We were so impressed with the quality of food and friendly service.

While heading towards Christchurch we decided to stop off in Seaton. And while strolling around we saw Le Pisani. So we thought why not. Nice little restaurant with a italian/Maltese twist. We only had coffee's and Paninni for lunch. Great service and the Paninni were great. Sounds silly but you can mess up a good sandwich, and they didn't. For me the only let down was the coffee. The bean possibly was a blend, and like a good italian coffee, Kimbo - Lavazza. Sorry that's me. Overall a great stop.

Visited yesterday for a special Maltese Food night. The food was incredible, the staff were amazing and the whole atmosphere really was something special. Due to the nature of the event (and the fact we had wine), the prices were a little higher than usual, but still very reasonable when taking everything into account. Would highly recommend a visit, whether it be for a meal or visit for something to take away. The perfect little Mediterranean escape in Devon!

An absolutely fabulous meal with professional and friendly staff! We had the halloumi and goats cheese starters, followed by some pizzas, pizza had plenty of topping and a beautifully light base. The gelato was delicious.

If I could give 6 stars I would. Great Italian dishes - all very tasty. Quality food at great prices and brilliant service. Really down to earth restaurant with friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Very knowledgeable and accommodating of allergens. They were super lovely to my daughter (8) she loved their bolognese.

Absolutely amazing food the people are lovely. I had the bruschetta as a starter, it was the best I’ve ever had. Then I had a half and half pizza which was delicious. The owners are very friendly and the kindest owners you will meet at a restaurant. All the food is fresh and I highly recommend.

Delicious food good service but had to sit outside as we had a dog and the heaters were not working due to storm damage. Would definitely go again.

Husband’s pizza had so much chilli on it that it was almost inedible. He took half home, but most of that went in the bin. My bolognaise lacked flavour. The ice cream was lovely, but we wil not be retuning.

Returned to Pisani tonight after a 1 year gap. Still amazing, lovely food, staff and atmosphere. Would recommend highly!! Really good food, we both had the special which was a seafood pasta, one of the best I've ever had!!! good service, friendly staff Will definitely be going back

We enjoyed a fabulous meal this weekend in this lovely Italian restaurant. Very generous portions but most importantly fantastic quantity and just delicious food. Staff were extremely friendly and engaging. We will definitely return when next in Seaton.

A lovely restaurant in a great place. The staff and food were brilliant, especially with the coeliac member of our group of 10. The food came quickly and looked & tasted amazing.

We went midweek during our holiday in the area at around 2.30 pm - I was looking for a place to sit down and eat rather than a takeaway. At first, we thought the place was shut, but it was empty with only 2 single customers. There is a large selection of food on offer, but for some reason, I was expecting a smaller lunch-time menu instead of a full dinner menu. For the 3 of us, the bill was around £65 which I felt was a little expensive, but the quality and service was excellent. Overall, a lovely place to dine, but would definitely love to see a smaller lunch menu up to 4.00 pm!

Unfortunately it was a pretty unmemorable and disappointing meal.. The Vegetarian Wellington was a complete disappointment and really just a pasty with a small amount of pine nuts, brie and mushrooms spread around the pastry... The salmon linguine was bland but only flavoured with the grapes and when I asked for some parmesan cheese. Our daughters pizza (which unfortunately came late as we were told the first pizza had been burned around the edges) had sooooooo much cheese on it. We mentioned the above issues with staff but didn't think the feedback was received very well as the manager didn't come to us to discuss our complaint and the waitress just looked at us and didn't know what to say. At just under £80 we expected better!! On the plus side, the Whitebait starter was very nice... We've used Le Pisani many times over the years whilst visiting Seaton and had some very nice meals here but somethings changed and, regrettably Its put us off coming back.

We visited on 29th August 2023, the last night of our holiday in Devon. We saw what great reviews it had and so thought we'd leave it until the last night. We weren't disappointed! I'm vegan and we had a coeliac and they were fantastic in getting us all something we wanted. I also have a garlic intolerance and they made me something I could eat and it was one of the nicest pasta dishes I have ever had. All our requests were catered for and everything was perfect. All of the staff were wonderful but we'd especially like to thank Freya who served us, as she was super efficient, very friendly and really deserves a huge well done. 😀

Maltese Feast Night at Le Pisani was a wonderful experience with all homemade traditional Maltese food that people travelled as far as 200 miles away to come and share together. Food, language and culture.

Great Italian with plenty of home made dishes pizzas and pasta. All dishes could be done gluten free and were proper size!!

We had a great meal here on Tuesday evening. Really glad we booked in advance as they did not take any walk-ins, it was really busy. Service was great, the lady went into great detail explaining the Maltese wine we ordered. The portions were very generous and tasty. Make sure to add a few cannolis to your bill, they were delicious.

Lovely food but like all restaurants these days they do not employ enough staff. I am not complaining about the (too few) staff - they were working as best they can - I blame the ownership/management! 30 minutes after bring given the sweet menu we finally decided to not wait any longer and asked for our bill - which took another 20 mins!!! This is a great shame as the food and surrounding were great. Please please review your staffing levels or the wages you are paying.

Nice food, tasty pizza, many different pizzas by English standards. The lasagna is also recommended. Nice service, seemed interested. Atmosphere usually depends on the moment and which other guests are there.

Extremely disappointed with our take away pizza's tonight. All of them were burnt around the edges and 2 of them were also burnt underneath. For the price we were expecting something at least fully eduble. Would not recommend or use again. Just to add a follow up to your reply, we were half an hour away so by the time we got home and realised it was all a bit late. Had we been aware at the time we would most certainly have said something.
