Awesome local chippy! Serve haddock as their standard fish so bonus! Excellent feedback about the cod from colleagues. Have used them for food for meetings rather than standard sandwiches etc, I can confirm my site is now the preferred venue. Really good quality, decent prices and extremely engaging staff. Open at lunchtime. Very recommended 🤩🤩🤩🤩

Good fish nothing too much trouble

I can't say how disappointed we are with this takeaway. The fish was greasy beyond anything I've had before and it was amber in colour so old oil. The chips were so greasy that they were just a mass of soggy potato so we kinda got mash potato. Absolutely awful and over priced. OVOID AVOID AVOID

Went yesterday lunch time, wanted chicken burger and chips to be told the fryer isn't on so couldn't have a burger so just got regular chips and a pot of curry sauce £4.30 😡 chips were absolutely awful, greasy and horrible and the curry was really thick!! Definitely won't be going again.

Went last Thursday we fancied a chippy tea and our usual was closed, was there about 18:00 so food should have been fairly fresh. Had chips beans and gravy and chips unbattered sausage and curry The gravy was so thick you could nearly serve it in slices but even worse got home and the chips were swimming in fat so much that they were inedible and had to go to another shop for replacements Won't be going again

I have just eaten Fish & Chips from here & I'm afraid I wasn’t impressed the fish was cooked too much & the batter was hard & crispy, it also tasted very greasy which is very disappointing as normally we enjoy these & eat every mouthful, not a very happy customer will be a while before we come back again

I arrived as they had just opened , half my chips were fine, half were reheated maybe from Friday night stale burnt flavour, fish was the same had to bin the lot £7.25 wasted never again!

Sorry, this place has a lot to catch up with after being closed so long. Cook a few chips etc, as these sell put more in to cook. People would sooner wait for chips? to be cooked fresh, rather than buy some that had been cooked much prior to their visit,left in the hot plate with a lot of fat on them.

We are regulars here and it's the only place we'd get our fish and chips in Lincoln. Traditional fish and chips are always on point, I love the proper Lincolnshire battered sausages. The staff are friendly and always remember us when we go in, definitely worth a visit as they are now open certain times during the pandemic, two people at a time with marked places to stand, quick service too.

Well I searched all of Lincoln for a chippy and gave up and was heading to a supermarket for some food and drive past this chippy. My god saved my Saturday night so parked up andwe went in, they was just cleaning up but had some chips and two fish left so bought them and got thw meal home and enjoyed completely however they are open at certain times so open certain lunch times and open in the evening from wed to say till 7pm so if you are looking for a chippy then I can promise you this is the only one open so they now have a customer for life and they also take debit cards as well.

Supposed to close at 9pm but staff walking out at 8.45 and lights out!

You are now our Waitrose for fish and chips - lovely meal!

Nicely cooked fish n chips , not cooked in tasteless so-called healthy oils. But tastey traditional fish n chips never undercooked. My go to choice for haddock n chips with a few mushy peas, nice polite staff also.

This used to be great fish and chips but now the fish is overcooked and greasy and the chips are well overcooked as if they have been cooked twice, they must be using cheaper chips as they taste like frozen ones, really dissapointing, the staff are lovely

Relative in Lincoln hospital and not enjoying the food so we went looking for a chippy nearby. This was the one we found and it looked like one of those old school chip shops in appearance. It also had a 1980s backboard of delights alongside 1980s prices! The thing with fish and chips is it’s not meant to be good. It’s quick, nice and hits the spot...normally around the heart. I don’t think this place had modern ideas like mayo or salad...and I don’t think it will ever serve their stuff in mock newspaper or out of a tiny frying pan. It is what it is. We got loads and huge portions. With four cans, we fed a group of nine for less than twenty quid. Chips were fatty and had scraps in with them. The spam fritter actually tasted really good. Curry sauce was a cup of curry and also brilliant. The batter needs improving to get the five stars. Seemed to not stick to anything but the paper. Nothing wrong with the rest

Over cooked fish, the batter was soggy and too greasy to eat having clearly not been drained. Over cooked wet with grease chips. Mushy peas just tasted weird and wrong so went direct to the bin! Colleague bought them for me back to the office. Will never be going there again! Try Burton Road Chippy to see what it should taste like!

Have enjoyed fish and chip meals from here in the past, but the last time we visited was a real disappointment. Everything was greasy and soggy, and the fish was dry. Not pleasant at all.

As always, we use Smith central when we have fish and chips. They have always been the best fish and chip shop for miles

long day missed dinner, the fish and chips here are first class and you get large portions especially for us growing fellas,( but alas more outwards than upwards) , will defo be useing this chippie again ....real traditional treat .

When I fancy fish and chips I always go here. Nice size potions and whatever i choose to go with them is always fantastic - whether it's sausage, pie or fish cake. The gravy and curry sauce are both fantastic but you can't beat their fish, chips and mushy peas. The fish is perfectly cooked and the batter is light and crispy with hardly any grease. The staff are friendly, polite and professional.

Proper fish and chips - so difficult to find these days. Definitely worth the effort of driving from the southern end of the City.

As my local chippy it keeps me coming back. The food is good bit I've had better. Biggest issue is opening times. They change so often I never know when it's open or not.

Great fish and chips, we always use this fish shop once a week and have a Jumbo Haddock and chips between us, they cook the Jumbo for you specially so if you want one don't wait in the queue until it is your turn just tell them your order it is £6.10 for a massive Haddock and chips or £5 for their normal size fish which in itself is very big, best value in Lincoln with great staff

They have great fish best I have eaten anywhere in a long time, I would like the fish batter crispier and chips a bit more cooked and crispy too. The mushy peas though good are a bit flavourless and grey looking maybe a little mint and a little less boiling would sort them out. Friendly staff and they get a lot of custom on a Friday. Hope we are having this today! Fingers crossed.

In common with most fish and chip shops, the chips tend to be a bit flobby, but the fish is always good. Standard Pukka pies. The people who own and serve there are always delightful.
