Excellent service kind and and friendly people, quality food at a great price

The worst place I have ever been. Staff very rude and clueless for just a chips shop . Simple dinner took nearly an hour and after that still got the order completly wrong.

Just spent nearly 40 pound on 2 small kebab no salad no sauces 6 year old wanted chicken fillet I asked for mayonnaise they put chilli on it my large mixed kebab was smaller than the 2 small kebabs n also had no chicken so nearly 40 quid wasted my misses is now cooking frozen pizza plus no answer when you call

The food was not that good and we have wait like 40 min before we got food .

Waited 25 minutes for chips, asked how long they were going to be, another 10 minutes, the original waiting time, everyone complaining about the wait, I asked what the problem was, he just kept saying it’s a bank holiday weekend, not very busy but the people waiting were not happy, got a refund and went somewhere else down the road

Great place to eat after night out, proper big chips, not stupid fries.

Went here the other day for some lunch. Within three hours had terrible stomach pains which lasted through the rest of the day and night. Followed by diarrhea. Won't be using this place again .

Batter on fish was soggy, battered sausage cold as though it was heated in a microwave and had some uncooked chips. 1 out of 10 please avoid at all costs

We tried Fish and chips along with chicken doner kabab. Taste is good. You will find options like lamb, pork and many more.

Okay. I got a fresh haddock with chips and curry for £9.90. The fish batter was soggy and goey. The chips were decent with the sauce. Overall I was disappointed and had high expectations. fish and chips could be more cooked and crispy.

Ordered a delivery and found a long dark hair in my food (I am blonde), fish was also soggy and mushy, tried to ring the restaurant many times and had no answer. Disgusting

Just got our takeaway and there was part of the order missing , when we phoned to find out if the rest could be sent out the person we spoke to was rude and basically told us it's not his problem and hung up , if there was a no star rating that's what I would have given .

Not worth it We were visiting Lincoln and walked past the take away it looked good so we got home and ordered to be delivered it arrived but some of the order was missing so we called to try and rectify this the staff member on the phone were very rude said there was nothing he could do and I couldn’t have my order or a refund and then lied saying they had no drivers and hung up when we said that our food was just delivered

Having gotten a take away delivered we noticed there was no doner meat on the doner and chips that we had ordered. Having phoned to ask about this the person on the phone was very rude and abrupt and didn’t want to know about it told me nothing can be done about it. Told me there was no driver available even though the driver had just dropped off my food 5 minutes previously. Would not recommend this very rude staffed place

Ordered food from Hunters for supper. when the order arrived we had items missing. We phoned the business and polity asked them to amend the order to which we were told that the driver would kick off and that he couldn't come back. To then be told they didn't have a driver despite the fact the driver just dropped off our food. When this wasn't an option we asked for a refund. Well the person on the other end of the phone decided to hang up rather than correct their mistake. Very rude and abrupt service. Would not recommend to anyone.

Struggling to find anywhere to eat, went in here, 2 fish and chips and 2 cans of coke, was all right, fish was crispy, not cheap and not the biggest portions but we were staving and needed to eat something, was ok.

Awful robbing scam artists. Charged us £12 more than menu price, didnt give us half of whst we paid for. avoid these see you next tuesdays. Horrible rip off merchants

Missing food, Wrong sauce tried to contact the store and no answer paid nearly £20 for a wrap and chips due to missing items!!

If you go here the thing to get is the chips and curry sauce. Truly great flavour, I wouldn't rate the rest of the food as highly but the curry sauce is delicious

Little bit pricey but food excellent as it was cooked fresh

Bought The House Pizza, 10". With "Extra Beef (?)". No Olives, No Cheese, No Tomatoes, No Pineapple, No Peppers, No Onions, No Salami, No Tuna, No Chicken, No Ham, No Beef, nothing just Kebab, Kebab and more Kebab and lots and lots of Sweetcorn for some strange reason. Extremely Salty and Greasy. Cost £13. I would advise to stay well away from their Pizzas, certainly not Pizzas by any stretch of the imagination.

Best burgers in Lincoln, amazing chef and ridiculously clean for such a small place. Definitely worth a visit on a night out or a day trip. Wish I could rate it higher

the food was disgusting, the meat looked fake and the chips were just sad. they over charged us and it’s already pricey for the food you are getting. the tables we not cleaned and it wasn’t enjoyable to eat inside. when we got home i threw up all the food. this is a warning to never go there.

Saturday i went to hunters fish and chips. The staff were really rude and snappy with me whilst taking my order. Soon found out the next day that I was charged double than what I should of paid for my kebab. Overall, my kebab was disgusting and the chips were frozen.

Ordered through the Uber - sent fish without chips. After call started lying that this was driver fault - but all packed and sealed with receipt. Ignored calls. Bad service, average quality of food. AVOID!

Terrible hygiene, rude service, bad food.

Miserable service, no hello, no please, no thankyou, server was wearing a dirty t-shirt, surely an apron would be more appropriately. I paid on card but couldn't see the amount on screen as it was never offered to me. The chips were tasty, but the battered sausage was revolting, left half of it as it was that bad.

Absolutely appalled that Sam ordered a cheese burger and chips and a coke which was late then his brother was asleep and the driver lady pulled onto the drive with full beams at 23:23pm at night, it was like Blackpool illuminations. I also don’t understand why he was charged £20 when the order was only £12. Please issue him a refund.

Good Fish and Chips, mushy peas are good too, ordered online but no options for salt/vinegar.

I have waited 2 hour for my order from hunters fish and chips and we still have not got our food.

I ordered food at 5:41pm and I have now been waiting 2 hours for it to arrive and I've rang them so many times but no answer and no call back. Won't be ordering from here again.

I hadn't been before, but came in with my friend who said that it was good. The food was good enough, large portions, so I can't really complain. It's not the best fish and chip shop in Lincoln, but it's surely not the worst either.

Had a chicken burger and curry chips for lunch, by far the best curry sauce around, and the burger and chips were very tasty. Highly recommend 👌🏻

Always a warm welcome and the quality of the food is good!

We went here for lunch time fish and chips. The hygiene didnt look too good but we stayed because our usual chip shop was closed. We had fish chips and peas. We left over half because the chips had little taste and the fish was strange. Next day both of us had upset stomach and spent the day in and out the bathroom....

Battered sausage had a slight fish taste to it and the batter was rubbery The curry sauce had gone solid within the 5 minutes it took me to get home and its also very bland And the chips were average at best with about 25% of them being the dreggy left over chips Rather walk the extra 15 minutes and go to the one on Burton Road

The posh restaurant were overcrowded so stopped here. 5 star service a winner for me. Had tasty mixed kebab wrap generous size, fresh salad, killed the hunger happy to explore rest of the town 😀

DISGUSTED that I was charged £24 for a regular £2.40 chips tonight after finishing work. The chips were half cooked and tasted disgusting too ! I am not impressed with the service and felt completely rushed. I am appalled and have been overcharge massively! I want my money back!

Food was good found a hair in my food and told the front of house and the security tried starting over it definitely wouldn’t recommend to my friends till that security guard is gone she’s rude and pushing me and my girlfriend out when we put a complaint and we had our food thrown in our faces

Not cheap but worth the price. Excellent service, good food and plenty to go around. One "small" was big enough to share between 2 boys aged 5 and 3 and other between a grandmother and 1.5-year old with leftovers.

Nicest pizza I've had in a long time. Also had cheesy chips and gravy which were to die for. Not the cheapest takeaway but well worth it!

We had an error with payment online, nipped in and it got sorted straight away! The customer service was amazing, the loveliest guy served us. Will definitely be coming back! Would recommend to anyone

Delivery driver was disgustingly rude claiming I hadn't paid for the food I showed me order which confirmed payment method and he tried to tell me it was an old order. I attempted to ring restaurant no answer voice mails left but no returned calls which is disgusting. Do not order from here it's not worth the agrivation

I’d say it was the worse chip shop in Lincoln but it has some stiff competition. Definitely one of the worst. Just don’t bother. Greasy, soggy batter on the fish. Undercooked slimy chips.

August 2020 first time Take Away order: I had Lovely new potato chips & Great Chicken fillet burger with the fresh salad. Very Tasty, Enjoyed my meal, Great driver who adhered to social distance. Many Thanks. October 2020 I had small mixed kebab with fresh salad & burger sauce it was Great Very Tasty, with good chips, large tasty coleslaw & good tasty strawberry cheesecake. During lockdowns have had take way a dozen times from here! Good Service & Fast!

Becareful, i ordered from there own website as it stated they were open till 11pm. My order went through and the payment was taken, to then find out it was closed. When i rang the next day i was told they were unable to give a refund and i would have to go to MOO (myorderonline.co.uk), as they run the website and transactions for them. The only issue ... MOO only deals with takeaway owners. There's no where to claim back.

Quick great food, only had pizzas from he and they tasted great not too much grease but just enough to knownits probably not too healthy for you.

Bloody useless the first time I ordered the curry and the peas was smashed in the bag and unedible so I thought I would give them a second chance and this time I'm they forgot the sausages off the order so we're left with chips with sauce. I did ring them up and they said they could deliver the sausage an hour later after I've eaten the chips that's brilliant. ... not

If it would be possible to give zero stars I would , frozen cold limp chips ... Worse standard than micro chips. The kebab was the most vile chicken ever known to the planet ... Ate a mouth ful and two chips and then straight in the outside bin. Disgusting and disappointed 😠 first takeaway in 2020 and won't ever order from here again . In fact I might write to the owner

Quite glad I didn't spend more than about £10 on this order. It's probably the worst fish and chips I have ever ordered. Firstly the delivery driver delivered my order to the wrong house, and then went back to see if it was still on the door step where he left it and then gave it to me. Not ideal. The fish batter is anaemic and the curry sauce is so watery. The chips are the only decent thing about the meal and they still aren't great. So disappointing.

chips is discusting can see like oil going out... and for garlic mayo pod separately charging one pound. Good luck team.

Always thought this was one of the best fish shops in Louth but was very disappointed with my last visit. During lockdown they offer telephone orders, but never answer the phone! So I went and ordered at the door. My wife and I had what was the thinnest sliver of cod ( not sure it was cod) we’ve ever had! Won’t be going back in a hurry!!

Lazy driver couldn't walk up to 2nd floor. left food outside. I had to leave my crying child alone to go and get food. don't work as a delivery guy if you are so lazy.

My daughter wanted fish and chips during lockdown. This was the only proper chippy doing that so we gave it a go. We had fish, chips and mushy peas. The peas were minted. Not my first choice but then there was no option!Fish was nice and fairly fresh. Batter was a bit limp as were the chips but it had been delivered several miles by the point I received it so you have to expect that somewhat. Perfectly respectable fish and chips and would happily order again if necessary.

Food arrived late and cold plus chips were soggy. The delivery driver almost put my front window through banging on it with a pound coin and didn't adhere to government guidelines regarding COVID-19. Won't use again.

This was the only fish and chip shop doing delivery during lockdown for covid 19. The delivery man was very good and our order came 30 minutes earlier than stated. All good! However both the fish and chips were soggy and the mushy peas like pulp. And, the food was Luke warm. Disappointed!

Shocking service, don't answer their phone... When it did turn up over HALF was missing. Absolutely appalled!! They got 1 star as this was the lowest rating possible!

Orderd of just eat tonight never tryed the food here untill today and it was perfect warm and very well cooked the only small issue was my batterd sausage didnt really have alot of batter on but the food was so good that really didnt matter .. the delivery driver was very polite too which is allways an added bones.. would higley recommend and will defernatley be ordering again

I came here last night after my friends had raved about the food. I wasn't disappointed! I only had a portion of chips, but they were golden on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Really filled me up after a night of drinking :)

Have to give one star as they won't accept no stars. Went into the chippy while in Lincoln for a footbal match, there were a few of us. Some of us wanting various pies, only to be told as the owners religion didn't allow us to stock them.Fair enough we respect peoples Religions views, but really when you have a chippy like this and don't let people know before they enter.Plus we found the staff to be rude and slow. Why????? Who knows.

Lovely chips, fresh and not greasy

On the corner on the high street we found Hunters after being told about their delicious Lincolnshire fish cakes. The staff told us that the fish they use is landed in grimsby and we like to buy British produce so it was ideal for us.Hunters don't only sell fish, they appeal to a wider market selling pizza, burgers and kebabs and you can eat in or take away.If only we had ordered on line, we could have saved 10% .

Our cheese burgers were plain and boring, served in stale buns without salad or sauces. They didn't give us what we ordered and while everything was freshly fried, it tasted old. Don't waste your money.

Went there the other night had a large kebab meat and chips the chips were not large and as for the meat it was a small amount spread across the top of the chips for £6.80 I was disappointed

Tyrical take away fish and chips with basic eat in tables and chairs, but excellent quality fish and chips, generous portions and great value. What adds to the experience is the friendliness and service of the staff...brilliant. After we had finished our meal Joseph, one of the staff, came over for a very friendly chat.Location is good, particularly if you are heading for the New Theatre Royal which is just a few yards away across the road.Will certainly visit again

Not a particularly good chippy! Salty fish and poor quality kebabs. Might help the rating if the staff had some manners...wouldn’t return.

Very good fish and chips. Would like my food on a plate and a proper cup. It is what it is a take away place.
