Hunters Fish & Chips in Lincoln

Got my order wrong and there were hairs in it

I was feeling very hungry late Sunday evening. Had a stressful day. Thought I’d treat myself to a take away. However when the food arrived I was greeted by a bag of bean juice and some vile looking brown beans. (I had ordered chips cheese and beans). Not impressed, and will not be ordering again.

Ordered via just eat Quick service, pizza was good, burger was good, chips ok but a little dry and I ordered cans of coke but received pepsi. All in all not that bad would order again

Delivery driver was incredibly rude, wouldn’t come to the door despite it raining, and the driver made me feel like a child being told off by a parent for not coming to the door. Was tempted to cancel the order but it was too late by this point

was missing my diet coke but not the end of world

Only comment would be that the fish was not skinless but it was stated on the packaging when received they could not do that, with a sad face. Good quality and hot 10/10 👍

Distuging ! Chips and Cheese ? Joke ! Donner kebab pizza ! burnt , barely any cheese or kebab ! Tried to complain to just eat ... What a suprise you can't !!!

chips very poor half had to be thrown out looked like they where made from bad potatoes, fish was very small for the price and the pop of peas again portion alot smaller than my local chippy.

Popped in late at night for a bite to eat. Served quickly enough but the food was very poor and not worth a fraction of the price they charge. You have to be drunk to eat that rubbish

Slow, talking about the staff mentally, food was terrible quality, took over half an hour for food that should have been 20 min max, still got the order wrong twice, they have no idea what they're doing.

Lie to police, help cover up assaults and didn't even offer any assistance. Awful. Spoke to their manager who didn't care and hung up on me when I just wanted to ask about cctv. Avoid at all costs.

Chips were alright. Fish was okay but was very oily to the point half of it was just soggy.

The food (battered sausages, fish cakes and chips) was only warm which altered the texture and flavour in to a disappointing level. I am very disappointed because clearly the food was left in the package for too long before going out for delivery.

The worst place I have ever been. Staff very rude and clueless for just a chips shop . Simple dinner took nearly an hour and after that still got the order completly wrong.

Just spent nearly 40 pound on 2 small kebab no salad no sauces 6 year old wanted chicken fillet I asked for mayonnaise they put chilli on it my large mixed kebab was smaller than the 2 small kebabs n also had no chicken so nearly 40 quid wasted my misses is now cooking frozen pizza plus no answer when you call

Ordered fish, chips mush peas and the chips didn’t come. Fish was dry and the batter was soggy. Chips cheese and gravy were awful too!

Sausage batter could be more crispy as was very soggy

Box was wet because of the gravy and it was soggy so could hardly eat it

Usually everything is good here, but the chips and cheese came without cheese which was very disappointing

I paid for my delivery, later sat by my open frontdoor as delivery was marked as "due" ,stayed there for aproximately 25 minutes. When I checked a message, it claimed it was delivered. It was not. I saw no-one at all prior to/ during the waiting time , nor was any food left outside my door. Twice I rang the shop but was cut off both times. Please send again the order I placed.

The food was not that good and we have wait like 40 min before we got food .

Chef from the restaurant had to deliver it himself because the delivery driver never showed up. This means it was about half an hour late. The restaurant called me when the delivery driver finally showed up, roughly a further 30 minuter later, but there was no food for the driver to collect because it was already gone by that point. If they hadn't delivered it to me, my food would have been over hour later than the latest suggested delivery time.

I ordered Sausage and chips, some onion rings and curry sauce. The sausage was nice, the chips were horrid, looked pre-cooked and warmed up. Lots of black bits in the potatoes and both soggy and hard. Almost inedible. The curry sauce came in a thimble and was runny like water with no substance to it - thrown away. The onion rings were soggy to the point of being flavourless and inedible they too were thrown away. I wouldn’t order from here again. Very poor quality, tasteless and not fresh.

Unfortunately our food wasn’t great the gravy in the box leaked everywhere, hardly and cheese on the chips and some chips we ate where stone cold

We did not recieve the food and when just eat was told they haven't compensated or refunded anything we basically spent 23 quid on nothing

The chips were great but the sausage was rank and hardly any batter on it,,, I paid 12.50 so expected better

Waited 25 minutes for chips, asked how long they were going to be, another 10 minutes, the original waiting time, everyone complaining about the wait, I asked what the problem was, he just kept saying it’s a bank holiday weekend, not very busy but the people waiting were not happy, got a refund and went somewhere else down the road

Great place to eat after night out, proper big chips, not stupid fries.

Batter on fish was soggy, battered sausage cold as though it was heated in a microwave and had some uncooked chips. 1 out of 10 please avoid at all costs

Went here the other day for some lunch. Within three hours had terrible stomach pains which lasted through the rest of the day and night. Followed by diarrhea. Won't be using this place again .

Okay. I got a fresh haddock with chips and curry for £9.90. The fish batter was soggy and goey. The chips were decent with the sauce. Overall I was disappointed and had high expectations. fish and chips could be more cooked and crispy.

Ordered a delivery and found a long dark hair in my food (I am blonde), fish was also soggy and mushy, tried to ring the restaurant many times and had no answer. Disgusting

The delivery driver refused to deliver it to my door! I have had surgery and cannot go down two flights of stairs! Plus it is in the service to be delivered to the front door so the delivery drivers are not doing their jobs properly. Not to mention the attitude that I had from the driver Completely unprofessional

Ordered food from Hunters for supper. when the order arrived we had items missing. We phoned the business and polity asked them to amend the order to which we were told that the driver would kick off and that he couldn't come back. To then be told they didn't have a driver despite the fact the driver just dropped off our food. When this wasn't an option we asked for a refund. Well the person on the other end of the phone decided to hang up rather than correct their mistake. Very rude and abrupt service. Would not recommend to anyone.

Having gotten a take away delivered we noticed there was no doner meat on the doner and chips that we had ordered. Having phoned to ask about this the person on the phone was very rude and abrupt and didn’t want to know about it told me nothing can be done about it. Told me there was no driver available even though the driver had just dropped off my food 5 minutes previously. Would not recommend this very rude staffed place

Not worth it We were visiting Lincoln and walked past the take away it looked good so we got home and ordered to be delivered it arrived but some of the order was missing so we called to try and rectify this the staff member on the phone were very rude said there was nothing he could do and I couldn’t have my order or a refund and then lied saying they had no drivers and hung up when we said that our food was just delivered

Just got our takeaway and there was part of the order missing , when we phoned to find out if the rest could be sent out the person we spoke to was rude and basically told us it's not his problem and hung up , if there was a no star rating that's what I would have given .

Bit rude delivery driver but however food was spot on and tasted grate order was correct.

Struggling to find anywhere to eat, went in here, 2 fish and chips and 2 cans of coke, was all right, fish was crispy, not cheap and not the biggest portions but we were staving and needed to eat something, was ok.

Awful robbing scam artists. Charged us £12 more than menu price, didnt give us half of whst we paid for. avoid these see you next tuesdays. Horrible rip off merchants

Missing food, Wrong sauce tried to contact the store and no answer paid nearly £20 for a wrap and chips due to missing items!!

If you go here the thing to get is the chips and curry sauce. Truly great flavour, I wouldn't rate the rest of the food as highly but the curry sauce is delicious

Usually everything is fantastic, alas this fateful order was missing the heart of the meal, the chips 😕. I've been a fan of hunters for a while but I can't help but feel that my confidence has been rocked. The chips are amazing, you can see why I'm miffed

Food was cold on arrival. Chips hard and cardboardy. Curry sauce tasted strange. Portions on the smaller side therefore over priced. Not recommended and won’t be ordering again.

Food was good but they gave me full fat coke instead of diet- not the end of the world though. The sausage wasn't very good and the curry sauce was a bit different but it wasn't horrible overall

Bought The House Pizza, 10". With "Extra Beef (?)". No Olives, No Cheese, No Tomatoes, No Pineapple, No Peppers, No Onions, No Salami, No Tuna, No Chicken, No Ham, No Beef, nothing just Kebab, Kebab and more Kebab and lots and lots of Sweetcorn for some strange reason. Extremely Salty and Greasy. Cost £13. I would advise to stay well away from their Pizzas, certainly not Pizzas by any stretch of the imagination.

Portion size is ridiculously small. At £9 a meal, I think a hand full of chips is a joke

Best burgers in Lincoln, amazing chef and ridiculously clean for such a small place. Definitely worth a visit on a night out or a day trip. Wish I could rate it higher
