We had booked the skyline for a Friday night treat as we were in London for a few days and we thought it would be a lovely thing to do. How wrong were we!! We were told to find a table, no one really showed us where to go. Thankfully the place was quite quiet (that’s maybe telling you something right there) so we got a table. We waited 10 minutes for a server to come with menus, personally I didn’t think he had a clue what he was doing! I am coeliac so when he eventually came back to serve us I asked what items were gluten free? This is where the service went from bad to worse!! He left us to go to the kitchen to ask, he then came back but he didn’t fill me with much hope when he told me he “thought” the chef could make gf pizzas. He didn’t have a clue what other items on the menu were gf!! I ended up going up to the chef (it’s an open kitchen) to ask and even he didn’t sell it to me, I could have a salad. At this point I had lost all hope of eating at the skyline. My friends and I sat for 25 minutes and numerous servers walked past ignoring us. So, we left! I spoke with the manager on the way out that the service was absolutely shocking!! Lovely views but don’t waste your money. The place is all talk!!

We booked lunch here for my friends 40th, I paid almost £100 for balloons and a cake for my friend, but unfortunately the people at Blue Orchid guest relations took my money, but failed to advise the team at Skyline of the decorations ordered. The skyline team did what they could to rectify the situation but it took over 40minutes to resolve and the opportunity to give her a special surprise was lost. The bar has a wonderful view, but do not trust the guest relations team to deliver.

Visited in early July, food was lovely and the views are breathtaking . Had no issues with anything, lovely place and will be back again. Only issue we had was no record of our booking with open table, but they still accommodated us quickly and professionally, as it was a lovely night this was appreciated.

The view was lovely and the food was decent but the service is terrible! There were lots of waiting staff walking back and forth but everyone seemed to ignore our party and we waited ages to be served. It then took 45 minutes to bring our drinks. From what I could see, others were complaining about the poor service too. I won’t be going back.

Very restricted menu, quasi Italian, heavy on pizzas. Limited range of cocktails. Service was slow and the staff although willing appeared to be recent recruits to catering. I guess people go there for the view rather than the food. (see below)

We made a reservation for a group of 8 to celebrate our dads birthday, we arrived to be told that the bar was closed. We were told we can go up and have a look at the view! We did this and within 5 minutes staff came up and told us to leave. We explained that we had a reservation but were told that they could not contact us to cancel us even though they had emailed us confirmation and an email saying “all booked”. This place is a disaster, it’s obviously poorly managed and stands no chance in a city of brilliant bars and eateries which is a shame as the view is nice. They need to get proper management, with a concept of organisation and customer service. Such a shame. As for our day we had to obviously go elsewhere! I just would not bother!

My daughter took me to the Skyline as a mother's day treat. On arrival no one around to greet us so we just went up to the bar on the roof top and mentioned we had a reservation . Was offered to sit where ever and waited a further 10 minutes before being offered a menu. 10 minutes later waitress came back took our drinks and food order. Drinks came fairly quickly followed by our food 15 minutes later. My daughter had a vegetarian meal which was cold on the outside warm in the middle, clearly microwaved! I had a pizza with chargrilled vegetables served in a box and a plate to put it on. No signs of chargrilled vegetables just soogie base cold pizza. On a positive lovely views but the worst food I've had for a long time. Don't waste your money on food there.

So we went for our anniversary not thinking that this time of year they may not have the outdoor bit open (the only reason we actually chose skyline, the rooftop views). Menu was very limited and the dessert was a little disappointing, but the starter and mains were lovely! Somewhat overpriced considering the experience wasn’t really there but, it was a nice outing.

Firstly, we booked this for my birthday for 8:30pm, we got there on time and was told that we can’t get in because they’ve now stopped letting people in as there is a private event. After some hassle, the head of security came down and managed to let us go up and give us a table- although 15 minutes of our time had already been wasted waiting around. About 30 minutes after being there the music stopped and we were told they are closing and we need to finish our drinks straight away, this was at about 9:15pm- when our confirmation email said we will be staying until 11:30 when it closes. They explained this was because they had a private event the next day- although we never got told or this before. I spoke to one of the security guards about this and explained I wasn’t happy and have had a bad night so far as it was my birthday and I’ve been told I have to leave after 30 mins of being there, he then rudely said “well you haven’t had a sh*t night you’re on top of a rooftop bar in London”. I explained how I think we should have been told about this before hand because I wouldn’t have gone if I knew this and there was no way we would have been able to walk in to another bar without a booking. He said it’s not his problem and he acted like I shouldn’t have had a problem because we didn’t pay to get in the venue. He was extremely rude and inconsiderate and very childish too. Other people around us were having the same issue with him being rude. When we eventually got up to leave he said whilst laughing “yeah you’ve got to leave now”. He later said to one of my friends “violate me and see where that will get you” which felt very much like a threat. On top of this drinks we’re very expensive with the service and staff very rude. The only nice security guard was the head of security- I did not catch his name but he was very understanding. I would never go back and I would give this 0 stars if I could.

So my boyfriend and I were staying at the tower suites, we saw the skyline bar and thought let’s invite our friends to come and have some pre drinks before our night out. We arrived, we did not have a reservation but the bar was 25% full so we were seated quickly. I went to ask for the food menu as we wanted to have a quick bite to eat, the drinks maker behind the bar, looked me up and down as if I had spoken a different language to when I asked politely for the menus. His colleague gave me 1 food menu and 1 drinks menu when our party was a group of 5 so we all had to share which prolongs the situation. 10 minutes later the waiter came and asked for our drinks and what food we wanted, we asked for 1 bottle of rose with 4 glasses and a cider. The food order was 4 pizzas big. 25 minutes later, we had no wine and no pizzas. To which when we would asked for the waiters attention, he was so disinterested. We overhead the party next to us who ordered 4 pizzas, 2 of them got delivered and the other 2 were not and they had also been waiting a long time. What type of simple restaurant etiquette is that? To forget half the parties food? This trip was completely ruined by this and the scenes this bar offer are unreal, service should be at the heart of everything especially when you are affiliated with a 5* hotel.

I researched this online and the menu looked good and the pictures. We booked on the 23rd of July for arrival on the 30th July. We arrived and there was no record of the booking. We were taken upstairs to the venue. Hard wooden picnic tables for seats. We were told to look at the menu and discovered it was nachos and pizza now they haven't updated their website. We ordered drinks from a very rude waitress who after taking our order walked away rolling her eyes. Tried 3 times to get someones eye for the bill. What a let down.

We visited Tuesday eve for sunset drinks and food. The young waitress who greeted us didn’t really understand that we had a booking but showed us to a seat. We had to ask that the seats be dried as it had just rained. We ordered a bottle of wine but were told they didn’t have it. We ordered another and it was ok. Food was a pizza and a salad to share. The food was just ok. Expensive for what resembled an Iceland pizza that I would make far better at home. The salad was nice but under-seasoned. All in all, a negative experience and we won’t be back. The service was lax and the only thing going for it was the view.

If I’m being completely honest the service was terrible. The staff were pleasant but it was very clear to us that they obviously didn’t have a defined role or duty to do in the place there was more staff than people in when we were there but we had to ask for our table water twice and then had to further ask them to take our plates away and for the dessert menu 30 mins after we had finished eating. We both had pizzas and they were burnt on the bottom but soggy on top it would seem that the oven was too hot. The views are absolutely stunning and the location and quietness of it will make sure this place does make money however a few suggestions I would make to the skyline to ensure a better service plus greater recognition would be have signs for your place outside of the hotel and in the hotel we had to queue at reception to ask where to go it would be easier with signs. Define your employees roles this I feel would help provide a top quality service and prevent the problems highlighted above and would provide that top quality service a venue like this deserves!

Horrible. Una gran cantidad de plástico en los huevos escalfados, los huevos escalfados demasiado duros, el tamaño de las tostadas y la cantidad de aguacate son ridículos por los precios. We stopped here before heading to the theatre on our day out in London. Food was lovely and reasonable priced. Staff were lovely but service was a bit slow. Overall we all enjoyed our food and visit and would definitely go again and recommend.
