Pleasent pub good range of beers and friendly staff

If I could give a ‘0’ rating this certainly would be the case. Whilst walking past this pub on Saturday evening, I saw a female who i recognised as previously being the Landlady of the Post office pub being extremely abusive and violent towards a young lad who was stood outside the pub. I felt so sorry for the young lad as she (landlady) humiliated him in front of other people. Turns out that the young lad had a banning order years ago. I have lived near Ridgeway for 60 years and often drink in the pubs close by. I was quite taken back seeing the Landlady act in this aggressive manner. I have also written a letter to ‘Craft Union’ informing them of her unacceptable behaviour. This used to be a great pub, but I will be giving it a miss whilst she is running it……This Landlady is absolutely vile!!!

Went to a great 60th in here, music beer and a buffet What's not to like, great night.

Always liked the Josh. Occasionally pop in for a pint. Great memories of being drunk as a lord in my younger years in that pub.

Went there on a works night out and ended up playing pool with the locals. Great night and we won the pool doubles 0

Im a bit Bias in my review as im currently the Landlady. We have a lovely Beer Garden Sun Facing right through the Summer. A friendly welcome awaits everyone. Dog Friendly with Treats available. We have a Sports side with pool table, Darts and Juke Box. Sky Sports and Bt sports. And a lounge side for anyone who likes it a bit quieter. We have Entertainment most Saturdays so keep an eye on our Page. Children are welcome. Look forward to seeing you all soon.

Nice relaxing place to have a drink in the lounge.Sunday lunch is a excellent bonus aswell. We'll worth a visit

Lively in the evenings in a good way. Good place to watch afternoon sport over a pint and a game of pool.Not eaten there but the Sunday roast smells good

Decent service, drinks reasonably priced

There new chef previously undercooked our chicken burgers at the george inn. All she knows is to re warm,wouldnt recommend eating here.

Not bad...barman was OK. Bit difficult to have a quiet pint and watch the football as you had one side of the bar taken over by inconsiderate card players and the other side was like a jeremy Kyle holding pen. Will only return when it's quiet.

I like this this pub during the day just for it being a local. Landlady is a friendly person and the staff are really good. I go once a week and they know what I drink and recognise me. Unlike the tamar at crownhill where I often go and I an just a person who puts money across the bar

Gad my parents 50th anniversary with 80 guest, perfect location and the buffet and staff were great cannot find a fault at all, all i can say is thank you, far better than i imagined, just great and drinks at very reasonable price. Big thumbs up

Dirty glasses and the stairs smell like vomit, you can't avoid this area as the bathrooms are upstairs, I would not go there again.

Went in this bar last nite was met with empty drug bags all over main bar floor .needless to say will never be going back again

Had wife’s 40th birthday party there. Great staff and helped to make the evening - Amazing! Surprise so needed all the help I could get!! Food was reasonably priced and everyone enjoyed it. Would definitely use again.

Takes far too long to get served at the bar. Staff aren't their to serve you, they're there for their drinking mates. Could be much better service.

I've only been in this pub the once for my friends mothers wake..I found it a lovely pub..Two different bar area's. They serve very nice hot drinks Tea, latte , capicino, hot chocolate..our finger buffet was lovely food. It's at the bottom of Plympton ridgeway. Opposite Co - op. Carpark opposite..

New owners from December 2016. Very good quality beers and ales served by friendly staff. Completely refurbished including a kitchen upgrade together with a new menu. Beer prices low to medium, good value. Large car park, easy access. Convenient to local shops and ATM's. April 2017 refurbishment complete. Fantastic. Always three real ales on tap.

Friendly welcome. Live music, good food.
